Kasabian have released details of their sixth album and announced an intimate UK tour, which is set to take place in April.

Before their new music is released, the band will play several dates across the UK and Ireland.

The Leicester-based group are already confirmed as headline acts for Reading and Leeds, and will be performing at TRNSMT in Glasgow this year.

However, the individual UK tour will see them performing in much more intimate locations.

Kasabian - The O2 Forum Kentish Town, London (20.04.2017) Live Review

The O2 Forum Kentish Town is tonight's venue for the third and final London show as part of the Kasabian 's intimate UK tour in preparation for the band's 6th studio album 'For Cryin Out Loud', released on April 28. Opening with the track 'Comeback Kid,' one of twelve songs featured on the highly anticipated album, marks a gentle way to start what we all know will turn out to be a raucous Thursday night gig.

Kasabian

Crowd pleasers 'Bumblebee', 'Underdog' and 'Eez-Eh' follow sending the sold out 2300 capacity venue into a frenzy. Frontman Tom Meighan and guitarist Sergio Pizzorno true friendship is demonstrated throughout the gig and their love for performing together is still very much evident.

New single 'You're In Love With A Psycho' receives a warm welcome showcasing Kasabian are back where they belong with fans already singing along. The set takes a slower turn with guitarist Pizzorno taking to the centre stage with 'La Fee Verte' and 'Treat' which both show their appreciation for the singer songwriter.

An encore consisting of 'Stevie', 'Vlad the Impaler' (which saw a cameo appearance from comedian and new Bake Off star Noel Fielding) and 'Fire' left audiences members on a high chanting as they exited the North London venue.

Kasabian's set list was 17 songs strong but their back catalogue is of such size and stature that it would've been easy for them to take it up to 20! No doubt their upcoming album will contain at least a few numbers that will join the ranks of their previous singles. One thing is for sure, their hits that include 'Shoot the Runner', 'Club Foot' and 'L.S.F' left fans (on this particular evening) wanting more.

Here’s everything you need to know about Kasabian’s tour

Kasabian will be playing seven comparably tiny uk shows next month..

As well as shows in Ireland, Kasabian will be headlining seven tiny UK shows next month, including three at London’s O2 Forum.

The band will be warming up for their headline appearances at Reading and Leeds Festival , and Scotland’s newest weekender, TRNSMT .

Kasabian are gearing up to release their sixth studio album, For Crying Out Loud , on the 28 April 2017 – and you can improve your chances of catching the live shows by preordering the album here , this’ll then give you access to an exclusive presale from 19:00 on Tuesday 21 March.

“I decided to give myself six weeks to write an album like they used to do back in the day and that became really inspiring,” vocalist Serge Pizzorno recalls, having written and produced the record.

“I made sure there was no fat on anything, it was going to be classic songs, no self-indulgence, nothing was going on there that shouldn’t. I’d heard Berry Gordy had said if you’ve not got them in the first four bars then you’re finished, so I went in with this old school attitude of song-writing.”

To mark the occasion, Kasabian have revealed the lead single, You’re In Love With A Psycho .

Kasabian - You're In Love With a Psycho (Lyric Video)

“It’s a weird anthem for everyone,” Serge recently told Radio X. “You’ve either been in love with one or you are one. It sort of celebrates that. You know it’s not sort of… dark.”

With tickets likely to sell very quickly, here’s everything you need to know to get your hands on them, including details on paperless tickets.

When and where are they playing?

Here are those tour dates:

12 April – Venue Cymru Arena, Llandudno 13 April – O2 Academy Birmingham 15 April – Newport Centre 16 April – Cliffs Pavilion, Southend 18 April – O2 Forum, London 19 April – O2 Forum, London 20 April – O2 Forum, London

When are tickets on sale?

Tickets go on general sale at o9:00 on Friday 24 March 2017 here . Definitely bookmark this link. Fans can also get their hands on tickets early through an album presale. Details on that next.

How does the presale work?

You can get hold of tickets by preordering their new album, For Crying Out Loud , now, this will then give you access to an exclusive presale from 19:00 on Tuesday 21 March 2017. This will be the quickest way of guaranteeing your tickets. For more details on this head here .

How much are tickets?

Tickets are £45 for regional shows, and £49.50 for the London dates. This is the face value cost, and is as ever subject to change. A service charge will also be added on each purchase.

Kasabian tickets are paperless. What does that mean?

When you book for a show, the card you use to pay will then act as your tickets to get you in on the night. It’s all very clever – your card details are just transferred securely onto the scanning system at the venue, so on the night they just swipe your card, check it against your ID to make sure you are who you say you are, then you’re in. There will be no paper tickets through the post and no going to the box office to pick your tickets up.

One thing to remember – your whole group will need to arrive together. As the cardholder, you’re the important one! Your guests will need to arrive with you to get in. Virtual credit cards won’t work as there’s nothing to scan on the night – you’ll need to use a physical card that you can take along with you.

More information here .

Open your account and log in now.

Get the details out of the way before tickets go on sale by logging in and checking your Ticketmaster account ahead of time. We recommend checking passwords, delivery address and billing information now, to reduce any stress when processing your order later on. Head to Ticketmaster.co.uk and log in to your account to get started.

Don’t refresh your screen.

Stick to one window when you’re being pushed through the virtual queue and always resist the urge to refresh. Hitting the refresh button means you’ll lose your place in the queue and, as frustrating as it can get, patience is the only way to win this game.

Ticketmaster is equipped with sophisticated systems that are designed to manage and process ticket purchases as quickly as possible. The queuing system that appears on your screen is actually doing something and will place you at the front of the line as soon as possible.

Check when tickets are available – even once they’re on sale.

Keep up-to-date with the latest ticket news on Twitter . If anything changes with these Kasabian tickets – anything at all – our social followers will be the first to know about it.

We send real time updates as the general sales happens, including any (unlikely) technical difficulties that might occur and alerts on when new tickets become available. When we have popular shows come on sale, we try our very best behind the scenes to secure as many tickets for you as possible and here’s where you’ll know if we’ve been successful.

General tickets will be available from at 9:00 on Friday 24 March through Ticketmaster.co.uk .

Kasabian announce first tour dates of 2017

Get ready for more 'Fire'

Kasabian

Kasabian are set for a huge return next year, announcing their first tour dates of 2017.

The band are currently working on the follow-up to 2014’s ’48:13′. Having stormed Glastonbury in 2014 and their epic homecoming show to celebrate Leicester City FC’s victory , fans will soon be able to get a first taster of new material.

Taking to Twitter, the band have announced a trio of summer shows in Italy for July 2017. More European and UK dates are expected to follow shortly.

Pleased to announce dates in Italy for July '17. Tickets on sale tomorrow 9am GMT via this link: https://t.co/7HmNs0jm5W pic.twitter.com/hMvkg4OhDH — KasabianHQ (@KasabianHQ) December 22, 2016

Last month, rumours started to circulate that the band would be headlining Reading & Leeds 2017 . When asked for a response to the rumours and the band’s current activity, a Kasabian spokesman simply replied: “The band are currently finishing their new album.”

Earlier this year, the band debuted new track ‘Put Your Life On It’. Check it out below.

“Lennon said The Beatles version of rock & roll was their chair. So I thought ‘Wow, I want to make my version of that chair,’” said guitarist Serge Pizzorno of their new record earlier this year , – adding that the album would be “going back to our guitar roots.”

Frontman Tom Meighan added: “Serge played me the demos and I was ‘Fucking hell!’ It’s nothing like ’48:13’. There’s no fucking interludes or any of that shit.”

Meighan said new song ‘Put Your Life On It’ is “As good as ‘Let It Be’ – it’ll make you cry”, while ‘Good Fight’ is “Unbelievable, like a David Bowie song.” Other songs scheduled for the new album include ‘You’re In Love With A Psycho’ and ‘24/7’.

It continued in April with several small warm up gigs throughout the UK and Ireland, leading up to a string of festivals in Europe and the UK, including a headline slot at Reading and Leeds Festival. Recent tour reviews

What can you say about a Kasabian show? Glorious? Yes. Exuberant? Certainly. Defiant? Of course. But more than anything else simply ...Rocking.

From the first thumping chords of opener "Ill Ray" Kasabian announced their intent to deliver. Storming through a set list loaded with heady anthems, occasionally bringing the mood lower with numbers like the terrific "Goodbye Kiss", Kasabian had the whole arena eating out of their hands.

There's something special that happens when this band start to play in front of an audience. It's united - from those who just love the killer hooks to those who love that Kasabian really dont give a crap about the estaishment and really capture the spirit of rebellion. They're a band that capture the mood of the common person with lyrics at times partying and at other times sobering and thoughtful. But always hopeful - and with a joyous shout. A proper "fuck you" band exhorting the people to stand together and rise as one.

And rise the crowd did. Every single person in Leeds arena on their feet, jumping, dancing, singing - all together as one from those in the sweaty heaving mosh of the floor to those right at the very top of the top tier.

A marvellous night. Kasabian are the band that Oasis wished they were or xould have been.

2009: I am 14, everybody is going crazy about Fire which was the first song I heard, and then Kasabian took my life by storm.

2011: Velociraptor! is out, adventurous and leaving behind all the bands which prefer to stay conservative and stand by classic sounding.

2014: I am 19, and 48:13 strikes with its sonic experimentation. It is colourful, wild, tentative and boundary-pushing.

2017: For crying out loud, so much awaited and so easy-to-love, prolongs the party which was carried to the concert. And it was a true madness fueled by our crazy love and the band’s response. Kasabian can be whatever band they want to be - they have our full support

As a major fan of British/European music, I must say it is always a pleasure to see these bands in the US since a lot of them play in smaller places.

I've seen Kasabian 3 times and my wife has 9 times now. They NEVER disappoint and this show was the same.

The energy they bring is amazing time after time and their music is always fun. They also look like they are having a legit great time up there doing what they love to do.

I was up front and again (which I should have learned)I should have brought ear plugs! But, the sound is muffled when one does uses those, so if you can stand a few days of ringing, then don't worry about it.

Overall if you thinking of seeing them live please, please GO. You will leave a fan.
