Delhi to Haridwar (205 km, 6 Hr)

Your journey to sacred lands of Kedarnath and Badrinath starts from Delhi which also be your onward destination. In Delhi, our representative will pick you from the airport or railway station in the morning who will then take to Haridwar through a 6-hr drive. On your arrival at Haridwar, you’ll be transferred to your hotel. Thereafter, in the evening, you’ll be the part of famous evening aarti at Har Ki Pauri. Guptkashi : Home to one of the oldest temple of Lord Shiva, Vishwanath, Guptkashi is located in the Garhwal region of Rudraprayag district. This small hamlet is also famous for its Ardhnarishwar Temple and Manikarnik Kund. The resplendent sight of Chaukhamba Peak makes Guptkashi a perfect place for sightseeing for tourists in the morning hours.

Guptkashi to Sonprayag to Kedarnath (27 km Drive + 19 km Trek)

Post breakfast, you’ll be taken to Sonprayag. From there, you’ll have to undergo a trekking trail which will lead you to Kedarnath Dham. Upon arrival at Kedarnath, we’ll take you to your hotel. In the evening, you’ll visit (darshan) Sh. Kedarnath and thereafter we’ll head back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Kedarnath : One of the 12 Jyotirlinga; Char Dham; and Panch Kedar, Kedarnath is amongst the most paramount pilgrimage destinations for devotees of Lord Shiva. The temple of Kedarnath is comfortably perched at an elevation of 3583 m above the sea level and is situated near the source of River Mandakini. Kedarnath to Sonprayag to Rudraprayag (19 km Trek + 60 km drive)

After the darshan of Kedarnath Temple, we’ll recommence our yatra to Badrinath. On day 4, after the early morning pooja and darshan at Kedarnath Temple, we’ll trek down to Sonprayag where our representative will be waiting for you to take you Rudraprayag through a drive. After reaching there, you’ll be shifted to your hotel for a pleasing night sleep.

Rudraprayag - Badrinath (158 km, 08 hr Drive)

In the morning, after having breakfast, en-route visit Narsing Temple at Joshimath later we’ll leave for Badrinath. Once you reach there, you’ll be taken to your hotel and then to the temple for the holy darshan. Thereafter, we’ll take you to serene destinations of Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Bheem Pul, and Saraswati River. After covering all these destinations, you’ll be headed back to your hotel for a good overnight sleep.

Tapt Kund : Said to be the abode of Goddess Agni, Tapt Kund is a natural water spring located on the bank of Alaknanda River. The water temperature of this sacred spring is 45°C. A holy dip in this natural sulphur spring is must before entering the Badrinath Temple. It is said that the water of Tapt Kund has medical properties, and thus, can cure skin diseases along with incinerating sins.

Narad Kund : Located on the recess of holy river Alaknanda, Narad Kund is a water spring in Badrinath from where Adi Shankaracharya established the idol of Lord Vishnu.

Mata Murti Temple : At a distance of 1 km from Badrinath Temple, Maa Murti Temple is located on the right bank of the river Alaknanda and is devoted to the mother of Lord Badrinath.

Mana Village : Reckoned to be the last village before Tibetan border, Mana Village is a countryside property, inhabited by Indo-Mongolian tribe. The town is famous for woollen garments and materials, potatoes, and kidney beans.

Bhim Pul : One of the top attractions in Mana Village, Bhim Pul is a bridge across the Saraswati River and is made up of natural stones. The legend has it that Bheem, the second of the Pandavas, made this bridge for his consort, and thus, the name Bhim Pul.

Vyas Gufa : Near Mana Village, there is Vyas Gufa – an ancient cave situated on the banks of Saraswati River. In the Hindu Scriptures, Vyas Cave is said to be the place where sage Vyas with the help of Lord Ganesha composed the Mahabharata Epic.

Badrinath to Rudraprayag (158 km, 8 hr Drive)

Will start with early morning pooja and darshan at the Temple. Later, after having breakfast, we’ll start our 8-hour return drive to Rudraprayag. The route of the drive cuts through Joshimath, Chamoli, and Karanprayag. As always on arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for the overnight stay.

Rudraprayag to Rishikesh (137 km, 6 hr Drive)

In the morning of day 7 we’ll recommence our returning journey to Rishikesh via Srinagar (Garhwal). En-route of the journey, you’ll get a chance to witness holy town of Devprayag – a land where the rivers Bhagirathi and Alaknanda merges. As you’ll enter Rishikesh, we’ll directly take you to your hotel to fresh n up and thereafter, you’ill spend your evening at Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula. After exploring Rishikesh, we’ll take you back to your hotel for a good sleep.

Rishikesh : One of the most divine and spiritual city, Rishikesh is a sacred place where one can attain salvation through meditation and yoga. Char Dham Live Darshan

Located on the Chandranath parbat in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand, Tungnath is one of the sacred Panch Kedar. It is the highest temple of Lord Shiva perched at an astounding elevation of 3680 mts above sea level.

How To Reach

Chopta is the place from where a mild 3.5 kms the trek to Tungnath starts. It is situated in the middle of Gopeshwar-Guptkashi route connecting Kedarnath to Badrinath shrine.

By Road:  Tungnath can be approached from Kund-Gopeshwar road up to Chopta about 212 km from Rishikesh via Chamoli-Gopeshwar-Chopta route. Buses and taxi service are easily available along the route. From Chopta, you have to take the short 3 km trek route to reach the Tungnath temple.

By Train:   Rishikesh railway station located at a distance of 205 km from Tungnath is the nearest.  

By Air:  The Jolly Grant airport at 223 km from Tungnath is the closest airport.

On the right bank of River Alaknanda opposite the last Indian border village Mana is a small temple of Mata Murti dedicated to the mother of Shri Badarinathji. Once a year, on the day of Vaman Dwadashi, the Narayan pays a visit to Mata Murti. The Rawal (the head priest) of Badarinathji performs puja here and the residents of Mana village organize a festival of prayers, havan and bhog. Belief is that Mata Murti has the powers of granting sincere wishes or Vairagya to those who faithfully meditate here for some days.

Brahma Kapal is a ghat situated on the banks of Alaknanda River and is situated in the vicinity of Badarinath temple. It is a flat platform where Hindus perform several rituals and pay homage to the departed souls and also proffer sraddha to their ancestors.

BHAVISHYA BADARI TEMPLE AT SUBHAIN

The temple of Bhavishya Badari is at an altitude of 2744 m. and is surrounded by dense forests. Located at Subhain near Tapovan about 17 km east of Joshimath on Joshimath - Lata Malari route, pilgrims have to trek beyond Tapovan. Tapovan has sulphurous hot springs. The idol of Lord Badari is emerging here by itself. It is believed that when Kaliyug will be on its pinacle the mountains Jai and Vijay at Patmila near Vishnuprayag will collapse, so making the present shrine of Badarinath inaccessible and Lord Badarinath will be worshipped here. Thus the name Bhavishya Badari, which literally means the Badari of the future. Bhavishya Badari is popular even now, enshrined here is a lion headed image of Narsiarsimh.

The Mandakini river comes from Kedarnath, drive alongside the river to reach Guptakashi, visit Ardh Narishwar (Vishwanath) Temple in Guptakashi. Check into the hotel arrival in Guptakashi. Guptakashi :- The name Gupt Kashi means “Hidden Benares. Mythology describes how when the Pandava brothers were searching for a glimpse of Shiva, Shivji first concealed himself at Guptkashi, but later fled from them further up the valley to Kedarnath, where the Pandavas finally got their wish fulfilled. There are more tangible connections as well-the Kedarnath pandas (priests) live in Guptkashi during the winter months, and after the Kedarnath temple closes for the winter, the image of Kedarnath passes through Gupt Kashi on its way to Ukhimath (across the valley), where it stays for the winter.

Guptkashi Weather – pleasant in summer, the temperature ranges from 25-30 degree Celsius. Cold in winters.

Day 02 Guptkashi to Kedarnath to Guptkashi (30kms by road & 19kms Trek one way) Height: 3384 MTS.

By Helicopter: Morning our driver will transfer you to your prebooked Helipad. After Back our car will drop you at Hotel for rest. ( note : helicopter ticket is not included in this package)

By Trek: Though it is difficult to go up and down from Sonprayag on the same day by trek. But it can be done if you take ponies or a helicopter while going to Kedarnath. Do coordinate well with the driver, as due to parking issue driver cannot stay at Sonprayag also network issue is also there.

Kedarnath: The Kedarnath shrine , one of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, is a scenic spot situated, against the backdrop of the majestic Kedarnath range. Kedar is another name of Lord Shiva. According to legend, the Pandavas after having won over the Kaurava in the Kurukshetra war felt guilty of having killed their own brothers and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva for redemption. He eluded them repeatedly and while fleeing took refuge at Kedarnath in the form of a bull. On being followed he dived into the ground, leaving his hump on the surface. The remaining portions of Lord Shiva appeared at four other places and are worshipped there as his manifestations. The arms appeared at Tungnath , the face at Rudranath , the belly at Madhmaheshwar, and his locks (hair) with the head at Kalpeshwar . Kedarnath and the four above-mentioned shrines are treated as Panch Kedar.

Kedarnath Weather – Due to its high altitude the weather in Kedarnath remains cold for the most part of the year. Summer here is cool and pleasant while winter is severe. During the summer season, the temperature varies around 20°Celsius. Light woolen wear is recommended. The Winter season in Kedarnath is severe with the mercury falling to as low as 0°Celsius. During this time the place experiences snowfall as well. Due to the extreme climatic conditions, this time is usually avoided by tourists.

Day 03 Guptkashi to Badrinath (160kms/7hr) Height: 3133 MTS.

Morning after breakfast, drive to Badrinath. Check in to the hotel arrival in Badrinath.  Pilgrims after having a bath in the Taptkund have the Darshan of Badrivishal & Aarti in the evening. Brahamakapal is significant for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus). There is another interesting sightseeing spot like Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund, and the “Mukh” of the Saraswati River. Just within the three km of Badrinathjee. Overnight stay at Badrinath.

Badrinath one of the ‘Ancient Four Dhams’ is one of the most celebrated pilgrimage spots of the country and is situated at an elevation of 3,133 meters, guarded on either side by the two mountain ranges known as Nar & Narayan with the towering Neelkanth Peak providing a splendid backdrop. This revered spot was once carpeted with wild berries. Thus the place got the name “Badri van”, meaning “forest of berries”.

• Tapt Kund: Natural thermal springs on the bank of the river Alaknanda, where it is customary to bathe before entering the Badrinath temple.
• Mana Village : Inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe, it is the last Indian village before Tibet.
• Vasundhara : As the name suggests, Vasundhara is a magnificent waterfall. This place is 5 km. from Badrinath out of which 2 km. is motorable upto Mana.

Badrinath Weather: The average maximum temperature will be around 18° Celsius and the average minimum is 8° Celsius. Warm and woolen clothes are hence required for a stay in Badrinath throughout the year. Winter in Badrinath is often accompanied by snowfalls. Winter is very chilly with an average temperature of 5° Celsius. Due to the extreme climatic conditions, this time is usually closed for tourists.

Day 04 Badrinath to Joshimath to Rudraprayag (160kms/7hr)   Height: 895 MTS.

The morning after breakfast, a driver for Rudraprayag via Joshimath. Visit on the way Narsingh Temple in Joshimath later drive back to Rudraprayag via Joshimath. Check into the hotel arrival in Rudraprayag. Overnight stay at Rudraprayag.

Joshimath is situated on the slopes above the confluence of the rivers Alaknanda and Dhauliganga. Of the four ‘Maths’ established by Adi Shankaracharya, Joshimath is the winter seat of Badrinath. The idol is brought down to Joshimath and installed in the temple for people to worship. There are many other temples in the township. The most important is the temple of Nir Singh with the idol of Lord Vishnu. The left arm of this deity is getting destroyed with time and the popular belief holds that the day the arm completely withers Badrinath valley will cease to exist and the Gods will transfer the residence into the neighboring Niti Valley at Bhavishya Badri.

Rudraprayag Weather – Generally hot in summer, the temperature ranges from 35-40 degree Celsius, Winter: The Days are pleasantly cool but the nights are cold, temp ranges from 20 deg to 05 deg.

Day 05 Rudraprayag to Haridwar (165kms/5-6hr)

Morning after breakfast, drive for Haridwar via Rishikesh. Rishikesh ‘place of sages’ is a celebrated spiritual town on the bank of Ganga  and is surrounded by the Shivalik range of the Himalayas on three sides. It is said that when Raibhya Rishi did hard penances, God appeared by the name of ” Hrishikesh ” and this area hence firth came to be known as Rishikesh. Check-in Hotel. Later visit Rishikesh Temples & Sight Seeing – Laxman Jhulla, Ram Jhulla. Drop at Haridwar.

Rishikesh: Named after the Lord Vishnu, Rishikesh is a holy city for Hindus. • Full amount has to be deposited 15 days prior to the date of the journey.
• If the journey is not completed within the given time or passengers are unable to complete the Char Dham due to bad weather conditions/technical reasons, the company will try to extend the time frame of the journey. If the customer is not able to visit the Char Dham, the company will transfer the entire amount.
• Rescheduling of booking can be done 7 days prior to the date of the journey, and is subject to availability with 10% extra charges. In case the rescheduling is requested with less than 7 days prior to the journey, then the booking will be regarded as cancelled.

Story Behind Kedarnath and Tungnath

It is said that Kedar means Lord Shiva and there are a total of twelve Jyotirlingas and five Kedar Dham belong in India. Kedarnath is the supreme among the twelve Jyotirlingas. It is believed that Pandavas were advised by Vyas Dev, that their sin of slaying their own cousins Kauravas during the war of Kurukshetra in Mahabharata, can only be pardoned if they will worship Lord Shiva. To follow his words they went on to find for Lord Shiva who was trying to hide from Pandavas because of being convinced about the guilt of Pandavas. In order that Lord Shiva went at Guptakashi and disguised as a bull. Nevertheless, Pandavas got the catch of him and the body parts of Lord Shiva in the form of bull got rematerialized at five different locations and were later known as Panch Kedar where the Pandavas built the temple of Lord Shiva. It is said that the ancient temple of Kedareshwar Jyotirlinga and the first of panch Kedar, Kedarnath was built by the Pandavas. It was Kedarnath where the hump was found.

What Is Panch Prayag

Prayag signifies confluence of two or more than two rivers. It is said that Panch Prayag is holiest confluences of the rivers. The first Prayag is Vishnu Prayag where Alaknanda River is joined by Dhauliganga River near Joshimath.

Nandaprayag is the subsequent conjunction in the falling arrangement, where Alaknanda River is joined by Mandakini River. Due to weather problem Badrinath also opens for 6 months in the year. Taptkund, mana Village, Vyas Cave, Ganesh cave, Swargorohini, Bheem pool are the major attractions here.

* Carry enough cash, you will hardly get ATMs after Rishikesh.

* There are a lot of fakes who claim to provide you best darshan, be aware of them.

* Carry proper winter jackets and raincoats as the weather is really unpredictable there.

* Wear proper shoes as the mountains roads are really hard to walk.

* Carry medicines and fast aid kit like AMS medicine, Paracetamol, medicines for stomach upset, vomit, headache etc.

* Have id proofs of original copies which can be required.

* Do not trust on OYO for online booking as they have a very bad reputation in Uttarakhand. I myself faced a lot of problems as I booked my Haridwar stay with OYO on Make my trip website, neither I got my room nor they returned my money.

* At Chopta you will not find electricity, they have solar power and only available for 4 hours at night.

* Do not try to understand everything with logic, you might experience many things which have no logic.

Day 1 : Haridwar – Sitapur

Early in the morning after having breakfast you will be assisted to your first destination of Sitapur which is located at a distance of around 8-9 hours by road. On reaching Sitapur you shall be immediately checked in to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2 : Sitapur – Sonprayag / Gaurikund – Kedarnath

After having a delicious breakfast in the morning you shall be taken to Kedarnath from Sonprayag / Gaurikund. The 18kms of trekking journey to Kedarnath will begin from here. Did you know that Kedarnath is the highest Jyotirlinga in the world? On arriving at Kedarnath temple you will be assisted for your Darshan inside the temple. Post this you will be taken to the tent located near the temple for an overnight stay since returning the same day is not possible.

Day 3 : Kedarnath – Sonprayag / Gaurikund – Sitapur

After having a delicious breakfast in the morning your trek down to your hotel in Sitapur from Kedarnath via Sonprayag / Gaurikund will begin. On reaching back to your hotel in Sitapur you will be relaxing and staying for the night there.

Day 4 : Sitapur – Badrinath

Post having your breakfast in the morning your road trip to Badrinath will begin by road. This will be a road trip of around 8-9 hours. By evening on reaching Badrinath you will be taken for a visit to the final village of India in Mana before getting checked in to your allotted hotel here. After getting checked in to your hotel in Badrinath you shall be staying the night here.

Day 5 : Badrinath – Joshimath

Prior to your breakfast meal in the morning you will be taken for an early morning Darshan of Badri Vishal. Day 1 : Delhi – Haridwar

Your Do Dham Yatra will commence from the time you arrive in New Delhi. Our tour representative will transfer you into your transportation that will drop you off at your first destination in Haridwar which is also known as the ‘gateway to Char Dham’ since all the Char Dham Yatras begin from Rishikesh and Haridwar. This will be a road journey of around 5-6 hours as you have decided to cover Badrinath Kedarnath Yatra by Car.

On arrival in Haridwar, you shall be checked into your hotel or accommodation of your choice. Day 2 : Haridwar – Guptkashi

After a delicious breakfast in the morning, you will be driven to your next destination of Guptkashi which is around 230 kms away from Haridwar. It will be an extremely scenic drive which will be one of the most scenic experiences of your life. You will reach there by lunch or pre-dinner time and will immediately be checked in to your hotel here for an overnight stay.

If there is time for you to explore or if you are not tired much then you can even visit the famous Kashi Vishwanath Mandir here. The best option would be for you to go on a soulful leisurely walk and explore the surroundings nicely. You will be staying at your allotted hotel in Guptkashi.

Day 3 : Guptkashi – Sonprayag – Kedarnath

Early in the morning as the sun rises you shall be driven to your next destination for the day to Sonprayag. This is will be a short drive where you will be served lunch in between and will take just half an hour to 45 minutes to cover depending on the traffic. Sonprayag is the starting point for the Kedarnath trek.

From here you will be able to choose to go on foot or hire some alternative method to travel like ponies or Pithu service. On reaching Kedarnath you will be staying in one of the tents or the hall accommodations here. Later completing your day tour of Kedarnath Yatra you can go for a midnight Darshan of Baba Kedar.

Day 4 : Kedarnath – Sonprayag – Rudraprayag

Early in the morning, you will be taken for the morning Aarti Darshan of Baba Kedar. The spirituality of this place when paired up with the purity of the morning sun rays is one experience that you need to have as words will not do justice. After this holy Darshan of Baba Kedar, you will be your trek back to the starting point of Sonprayag will begin.

Here you will meet a driver who will then transfer you to your next destination of Rudraprayag which is around 60 kms away. It is one of the holiest meeting points of rivers in Devbhoomi which marks the confluence point of rivers Mandakini and Alaknanda which finally forms the Ganga River from here on.

On reaching Rudraprayag you will be transferred to your allotted choice of accommodation here for an overnight stay.

Day 5 : Rudraprayag – Badrinath Dham

Early in the morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to your next destination of Badrinath via a car ride. Traveling through the hills guarantees picturesque vistas during your road trip. On your way, you will be made to visit and offer Darshan at Shri Narsingh Temple which is situated in the holy town of Joshimath that lies just before Badri Vishal.

After covering a distance of 158 kms and finally arriving in Badrinath you will be checked into your hotel here for an overnight stay. In the evening after freshening up or if you are in the mood to explore your surroundings you will be taken for a brief sightseeing tour of tourist attractions in Badrinath. This will include Vyas Gufa, Mana Village (3km away), Saraswati River, Bheem Pul, etc.

After completing your Badrinath Yatra if you want then you can attend the evening Aarti procession at Badri Vishal Temple. Later on, you will be made to head back to your accommodation in Badrinath town for an overnight stay.

Day 6 : Badrinath – Rudraprayag

You will be made to visit the holy Badrinath temple early in the morning to attend the holy Aarti ceremony here. After the completion of your Darshan and puja rituals, you will be driven to your next destination for the day which will be Rudraprayag.

After covering a scenic journey, you will be made to check in to your hotel for an overnight stay. The remainder of the day will be free for you to indulge in some leisurely activities like strolling around the holy village and relaxing amidst its scenic beauty. You shall be staying for the night in Rudraprayag.

Day 7 : Rudraprayag – Rishikesh

Your journey to Rishikesh will begin early in the morning after your breakfast. You will be driven to Rishikesh via a car journey which you will remember for a long time. You will cover a journey of around 133 kms and on arriving at Rishikesh you will be checked into your allotted hotel for an overnight stay.

In the evening you will have a fun time in attending the holy Ganga Aarti at any of the ghats of Rishikesh.

Day 8 : Rishikesh – Delhi Departure

Your journey back home will commence early in the morning from Rishikesh via the road. It will be a trip of around 5-6 hours and you will be dropped off at your departure location at the New Delhi railway station. Q. How to reach Kedarnath from Gaurikund? A. It used to be a six-hour long trek to Kedarnath from Gaurikund that went past Rambara and Garur Chatti before the paths were washed away by the flash-floods of 2013. Now a new route has opened up which is 14 kilometre long starting from Gaurikund. The route goes past Jangal Chatti, nearly 4 kilometre away, followed by Chhoti Linchuli and Badi Linchuli before crossing the Mandakini River and heading to the south face of the Kedarnath peak. You can take the alternate route the goes up from Sonprayag, just 5 kilometre short of Gaurikund, and rounds up Kedarnath, going past Gomkara, Dev Vishnu and Dhumgajgiri. Q. When does the Badri Kedar Festival take place? A. The annual Badri Kedar Festival happens in June and is one of the highlights of Kedarnath. The entire town is decorated with flags, festoons and flowers and carries a festive aura. Since this is a summer festival, a time when the temple opens its doors to pilgrims, the place is packed with devotees and avid photographers and travellers. The Badri Kedar Festival goes on for eight days when artists, dancers, singers and painters come to Kedarnath and showcase their art in this fabulous setting amid all the festivity. It is a great way to get a sense of Uttarakhand’s history, culture and traditions. Q. Are there any hotels in Kedarnath? A. You can stay at the GMVN Tourist Bungalow in Kedarnath. This can be reached after a 14 kilometre trek from Gaurikund. The guesthouse has Economy Rooms, Family Suites and Dormitory with basic amenities such as attached bath and hot water supply. The property remains shut all winter owing to severe snowfall. Most other hotels are either in Rudraprayag or Sitapur, which is about 50 kilometre from Kedarnath. You can spend the night at your hotel in Rudraprayag and make a day trip to Kedarnath Temple. Q. Can Kedarnath be visited in monsoon? A. July to September are the monsoon months in Kedarnath, making landslides quite common in the area, leading to roadblocks. Rainfall makes the slopes treacherous for treks, and since it pours very heavily you can seldom venture outdoors. Though the temple remains open all of monsoon, it may not be the most pleasant times to visit Kedarnath. Q. Which are the most popular treks around Kedarnath? A. You can pursue the Gandhi Sarovar or Chorabari Tal trek which begins by the main bridge before the town where this is a paved pathway that crosses the Mandakini River and comes to a halt about 4 kilometre north of the Chorabari Glacier. It takes about two hours. On its edge is the Chorabari Tal, a placid lake also called Gandhi Sarovar since the Mahatma’s ashes were scattered here. You can even take a trek to the Bhairava Temple, an ancient shrine dedicated to Lord Bhairava that is visible from the Kedarnath Temple. There is a path running diagonally along the hill surrounded by prayer flags. Close to the site is a cliff by the name of Bhairava Jhamp. Q. Can I visit Sonprayag from Kedarnath? A. Sonprayag is about 20 kilometre from Kedarnath. It is a religious site en route to the Kedarnath Temple which is among the Char Dhams. Sonprayag is a beautiful place lying at the confluence of the Basuki and Mandakini Rivers. Q. Which is the last railhead to Kedarnath? A. The Haridwar Railway Station is the closest railhead to Kedarnath. You can get direct trains to Haridwar from New Delhi, Varanasi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Lucknow among others. Some of the prominent trains that Haridwar receives include Mussoorie Express, Jan Shatabdi Express, AC Special Express, and Shatabdi Express. Once you arrive at the Haridwar Railway Station, you can hire a bus or a cab to Gaurikund which is about 125 kilometre away, and further on do the trek to Kedarnath Temple. Q. Are there buses from Dehradun for Kedarnath? A. Dehradun runs direct buses to Kedarnath by way of Volvo AC sleeper, semi-sleeper, non-AC sleeper and seater buses. The 254 kilometre distance is covered by these buses from Dehradun to Gaurikund. The remainder of the distance to the Kedarnath Temple needs to be accomplished by foot. Q. How to go on Vasuki Tal trek from Kedarnath? A. The trek begins from a place close to the GMVN Tourist Bungalow and goes all the way to the Vasuki Tal which is at 13,566 foot. The 9-kilometre-long trek takes anywhere between 4 to 5 hours to complete. Kedarnath To Badrinath Roadtrip: Complete Travel Guide

In the month of May, when I planned to travel to Kedarnath and Badrinath, my mind was still occupied with the stories of the flood disaster of 2013. But I was keen on a visit to the Jyortilinga shrine with my mother as being sacred Chardham for Hindus. After visiting Kedarnath, we started for our journey to Badrinath. Here is Guide to Visit Badrinath and Kedarnath to Badrinath Roadtrip Travel Guide including important Places to visit on the way to Badrinath.

I have already written about Delhi to Kedarnath Road trip , you can directly take Delhi to Badrinath trip as well according to your choice. Here is Kedarnath to Badrinath Route we followed:

Delhi-Haridwar-Rudraprayag-Guptkashi-Phata-Kedarnath-Guptkashi-Chamoli-Joshimath-Badrinath-Karnaprayag-Srinagar-Rishikesh-Delhi.

In this post, I am continuing my Post from Kedarnath to Badrinath Roadtrip Travel Guide . Here is day by day route.

Kedarnath to Badrinath Roadtrip : Day-4 Kedarnath-Guptkashi-Chamoli-Joshimath-Badrinath

After staying for a night at Kedarnath, the next day we rode back by helicopter in early morning.Our return journey ride was scheduled at 7 AM in the morning. The weather was clear and it was relieving sign for me as the weather could have disturbed at any time in Kedarnath.

After reaching back to Phata, we started for Badrinath via Guptkashi. The distance between Kedarnath to Badrinath is 200 Kms  Via Guptkashi and it takes 10-12 hours to complete the journey. As we drove Badrinath to Kedarnath by road journey, we walked past small villages and towns and reached to Chopta. It is a well developed beautiful hill station and a superb trekking destination in Uttarakhand. It is surrounded by meadows and evergreen forest with spectacular views of mighty Himalayan ranges which attracts many trekkers.  It is famous for temples and it is a gateway to so many treks in the region like Chopta-Tungnath and many more. As we started early in the morning; took a break at Chopta for a hot breakfast.

As we crossed Chopta, the road became more serpentine with the dense forest surrounding it. The jacaranda flowers were in full bloom, the colorful village houses dotted along the road and the curvy road was giving me goosebumps during the ride. Chopta is one of the beautiful places of Uttarakhand and don’t miss to stop by it on Kedarnath to Badrinath Roadtrip.

After crossing Chopta, we reached Chamoli-Gopeshwar. It was early evening when we reached to Joshimath – a holy shrine 45 Kms before Badrinath. The town of Badrinath remains snowbound for six months in a year and Lord Badrinarayan i.e Lord Vishnu was brought to the  Narsimha Temple at Joshimath by the head Priests with the holy ceremony. This way Joshimath is also known as the ‘winter abode’ of Lord Badrinath . So on the way to Badrinath, must include this beautiful temple during your Kedarnath to Badrinath Roadtrip.

We quickly visited the Narsimha Temple which is 1200 years old. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and the deity of the temple is the 4 th incarnation of Lord Vishnu- Narsimha Avtar in the form of half Lion and half man. It is said that the trip to Badrinath is incomplete without visiting the Narsimha Temple.

As we crossed Joshimath, the road was in bad condition at some patches till Govindghat. It is base for a trek to Valley of Flowers which starts from Ghangharia. It is one of the holy places for Sikhs and we saw many Sikh devotees on the way. As you cross Govindghat, the road becomes curvier and it was almost cut through the rocks. I was delighted to see the mighty Alaknanda river flowing on one side and a serpentine road on the other; it was like a roller-coaster ride to Badrinath.

It was dark when we reached to Badrinath. After driving for more than 10 hours it was time for some rest!!

Kedarnath to Badrinath Roadtrip : Day-5: Badrinath

Badrinath is located at 10,170 ft is the abode of Lord Vishnu and one of the most revered places among char Dham for Hindus. It is located on the banks of the Alaknanda river between Nar Narayan mountain range, with Neelkanth peak in the background.

In the morning, we proceeded for visiting the Badrinath Temple which is one of four important temples in Uttarakhand. The road that leads to the temple is full of shops selling religious offerings, CDs, winter wears, Photographs, etc. As we crossed it, we reached the bridge on the Alaknanda River which leads to the temple area. The temple dates back to a century ago when Adi Shankaracharya established math here (today’s Joshimath). The temple is also believed to be of Buddhist origin and later it was converted to a Hindu temple.

At first look, I was delighted with the colors of the temple which are conventionally bright that left me in awestruck. I loved the decoration of the temple and I was tempted to click so many pictures of it. It does all the justice for the long journey. I was lost in the charming aura of this temple.

Interesting facts about the Badrinath Temple:

• As far no historical records have been found about Badrinath temple’s origin but some of the accounts state that a Buddhist shrine was present here before Adi Shankaracharya converted it into a Hindu shrine. Also, the architecture and the brightly painted façade of the Badrinath temple is similar to that of a Buddhist vihara (temple) which draws our attention to the fact.
• The Badrinath Temple is among the four pilgrimages of Hindus. It is situated on the Alaknanda River at the NainaParvat, near TaptaKund, which is a hot water spring. The temple has three parts: The garbhgriha, Darshanmandap, and Sabhamandap. The Lord Badrinath is seated in the garbhgriha, the second part is also known as DarshanMandap where all devotees come for worshipping, and sabha mandap is the outer hall where devotees wait for doing darshan of their lord.
• The high priest of Badrinath is from the clan of Adi Shankaracharya. He is called ‘Rawal’  is traditionally a Nambudiri Brahmin chosen from the South Indian state of Kerala. During his span as a priest, the Rawal cannot marry and has to be celibate. For them, even the touch of women is considered a sin.
• Conch which is a favorite instrument of Lord Vishnu is not allowed to blow in the Badrinath temple. According to a Hindu legend, when sage Agasthya was slaying the demons of Kedarnath the two demons by the name of Vatapi and Atapi escaped. Atapi took refuge in the Mandakini river while Vatapi hid inside the conch to save his life. Since then it is believed if anybody tries to blow the conch, Vatapi will come out. Hence, it is prohibited to blow conch in this area. But according to science since Badrinath temple is covered in snow most of the time so blowing conch might create echo- a unique phenomenon which can create turbulence in the ecological environment, cause ice storms and endanger human life.
• Adorned below the Badrinath temple, the Tapta Kund is the group of hot sulfur water springs snuggled below the temple. It is believed that these hot water springs possess medicinal properties and is home to the Agni God, the Hindu Lord of Fire. Before paying obeisance at Badrinath temple, the pilgrims take a holy dip in this kund for purifying themselves. The temperature of Tapta Kund remains as hot as of 55 °C (131 °F) at 17 °C  temperature all round the year.
• The name of the Badrinath Temple originates from a known word Badri which is said a type of wild berry. A mythological story increases the faith of devotees. The story is when Lord Vishnu sat in penance in the mountains of Badrinath; then His Better half Goddess Laxmi changed herself into a berry tree to shade her husband from the harsh sun. That is why sages and pilgrims belief in meditating here for mental peace and enlightenment.Hence, Badrinath is also known as “Badri-Vishal”.

Badrinath Temple Timings:

The temple opens at 4 AM and closes at 1 PM noon; once again it opens at 3 PM and closes at 9 PM. If you want to avoid the queue, visit it at night. You can perform special Pooja also which you can book in advance.

The idol of Lord Vishnu is sculpted in black stone and it is seated in meditating posture ‘Padmasana’ hosed in the gold canopy. As you walk around the main shrine area, you can see the idols of Ganesha, Garuda, Hanuman, and goddess Lakshmi.

Best Places to Visit in Badrinath:

As you walk out from the temple, just below the temple, there is ‘Tapt Kund’(hot water sulfur spring) –separate for both men and women. The water of the Kund is believed to have medicinal properties and pilgrims take bath before entering the temple.

After offering our prayers, we left for visiting the Mana Village – Last Indian Village. As Badrinath is a Holy place, there aren’t many places to see in Badrinath. Nearby Mana has located 3 km from Badrinath at an altitude of 3200 meters. It is the last village before Mana Pass and 24 Kms from the Border of India and Tibet. It requires mild trekking to reach the village and exploring a few points of interest.

I was just happy to walk around and knowing interesting stories of River Sarswati-Vasudhara Falls and Bheempul. There is one more ritual here to have Tea at Last Tea Shop in India. We spent some time here and started back to reach Badrinath. So if you are visiting Badrinath, don’t miss to visit this Last village from Badrinath.

Kedarnath to Badrinath Roadtrip : Day-6 : Badrinath-Karnaprayag-Srinagar

It was a very sunny day with a clear blue sky when we started to leave Badrinath in the morning. During our stay in Badrinath, it was drizzling. It has happened so many times with me that during my stay at a particular place; rain plays hide n seek and the sky is not clear; and whenever I am about to leave that place, clouds get clear. But I am not complaining as I was happy with whatever nature was offering to me.

From Badrinath, the road again passes through Joshimath and Chamoli. As we crossed Chamoli, we passed through Nand Prayag- one of the Panch Prayag(five confluences). It lies at the confluence of the Alaknanda River and Mandakini River. The distance between Badrinath to Srinagar is 9-10 hours, we didn’t stop at the confluence.

After passing through numerous towns and small villages, we pit stopped at Karnaprayag. It lies in midst of Nandprayag and Rudraprayag. Also, it lies at the junction from where one could travel to Badrinath as well as Kedarnath. Bedecked on the confluence of river Alaknanda and Pindari River- it is one of the Panch Prayag (five confluences) of river Alaknanda.

The town of Alaknanda is also known as ‘The city of Karna of Mahabharat’.While on a visit to the Himalayas, swami Vivekananda also meditated here with his gurus. With the hills in the backdrop and pristine surroundings, it is truly delightful place.

After capturing a few clicks in camera and offering prayers we started towards Srinagar. As the distance between Badrinath and Rishikesh was approx 12-14 hours, we decided to take a break at Srinagar. If you don’t want to go for a tiresome hilly journey; take a break at either Rudraprayag or Srinagar. The city of Srinagar is famous for temple of Dharidevi- 19 km from Srinagar. The city’s other attraction is the Alaknanda Hydro Electric Power Project.

We reached Srinagar in the evening. After some rest, we started to walk on the main road. The town was full of chat vendors and had a lot of decent restaurants too. It is probably the last town before the hill starts to Badrinath and Kedarnath. The town looks very pretty at night with dotted houses on the hills.

Kedarnath to Badrinath Roadtrip : Day-7: Srinagar-Rishikesh

It was the last day of our road trip and was saddening as the trip was coming to end. It took almost 4-5 hours to reach Rishikesh. As we started descending, the atmosphere started to change from cold to very hot. We were leaving behind the hills and started towards more plains.

We reached to Shivpuri by noon and stopped there for a while. There was the rhythmic sound of Ganges and endless stretch of pebbles over there. This was a therapeutic site and rendezvous with the Ganges. The river rafting starts from Shivpuri and people were arriving at the starting point of the rafting. I had already done river rafting in the Ganges, so just spent time by the Ganges.

By noon we reached to Rishikesh on a hot summer day and ended our week long road trip to Badrinath and Kedarnath. Earlier we decided to explore a bit Rishikesh too, but due to hot weather, we dropped the idea and started to catch a bus to Delhi.

Kedarnath to Badrinath Roadtrip : Where to Stay in Badrinath:

The accommodation in Badrinath has so many Options, it ranges from guesthouses, ashrams to budget hotels. As they are pilgrim places; don’t expect luxurious amenities from them.

Food in Badrinath:

Hotel Saket – opposite to Badrinath temple (on the way to temple) is a very good option for the North Indian and South Indian dishes. We loved all the veg options here. Also, the town has numerous dhabas and decent restaurants which serve vegetarian food. It is a pilgrim place; you won’t get alcohol and Nonveg food here. At Srinagar, Hotel Shivika serves good food and very famous in the region.

Mobile Network:

I highly recommend carrying a BSNL SIM card if you are visiting Badrinath. Reliance Jio and Vodafone work but it gives occasional signaling.

Travel Tips for Badrinath:

• Photography is prohibited inside the badrinath temple; don’t try to attempt it.
• It is popular pilgrim place and one of the dham for Hindus; receives thousands of visitors daily as temple remains open for few months in summer.Be prepared to stand in queue. If you want to avoid it, visit the temple in night before closing of the temple.
• Carry comfortably warm and heavy woollen clothes along with you as the season is always cold there, and at high altitude it is impossible to survive in lighter clothes.
• As you are travelling in the hilly region; always start early and reach early. Avoid travelling in night.
• Bargain well before buying woollens and other souvenirs.

Must Have Warm Clothes

Biometric Registration

It is good to start traveling in the early morning. Before 3 am at Kedarnath Temple. The Temple gates would be closed after that. At 5pm in the evening the temple gate will again open for the visitors but there will be huge rush and long queues.

Essential Items to Pack for the Yatra

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 dehradun - sersi helipad - kedarnath - guptkashi.

On arrival at Sahastradhara Helipad, we fly to Sersi Helipad then again fly to Kedarnath from same Helipad. Temple is approx. 500 meters away from helipad and will take approx. 15 min to reach. The Pandit will accompany the group and lead us to the VIP darshan in Kedarnath temple. After darshan and Poojan, The group will fly back to Sersi helipad. We will have lunch & Overnight stay at Guptkashi located at the banks of river Mandakini.

Program Summary: - Sahastradhara Helipad to Sersi Helipad - Sersi to Kedarnath - Kedarnath Darshan - In Afternoon coming back to Guptkashi for an Overnight stay

Day 2 Guptakashi - Badrinath

The group is headed towards the Helipad at Sersi Helipad. From the Helipad we proceed to Badrinath. On arrival at Badrinath Helipad, The group will be Check-In to the hotel. After Lunch, we will be going to Mana village, the last border of India with China for sightseeing. At the evening, Passengers will attend Swarna Aarti at Badrinath temple & then dinner and overnight stay at Badrinath.

Day 3 Badrinath - Dehradun

After the breakfast, while we are heading back to Dehradun, see the beautiful over view of the Region, especially the picturesque view of the confluences, which is an eye-candy for nature lovers. We will fly between the beautiful valleys of thick forest and over five confluences like Vishu Prayag, Nanda Prayag, Karna Prayag, Rudra Prayag and Dev Prayag. We will come back and drop to helipad in Dehradun.

Important Information

Travel guidelines, terms and conditions.

FIXED FLIGHT TIMINGS - This is a Daily Fixed Departure Helicopter tour , and all departure timings of each destination is fixed. Therefore, passengers must ensure they report as per the scheduled ETDs on each day of the tour, other-wise they will be considered NO SHOW.

COVID TRAVEL GUIDELINES  - COVID protocols shall be adhered by the passengers and Helicopter Company as per the effective mandate of the government. Without adhering to the government guidelines, boarding can be denied to the passengers without refund.

HELICOPTER WEIGHT LIMITATION - Maximum weight capacity of the helicopter is 450 kg (excluding baggage weight). Passengers are taken on board depending up on the load and temperature conditions. Pilots call will be final. Total weight of all passengers on board must be within this limit. Hence, passengers are required to provide us their exact weights at the time of booking.

PASSENGER WEIGHTS  - Passengers have to submit their correct weights at the time of booking. If any change in weight found at the time of their travel from the submitted weights, which would exceed our aircraft’s weight carrying capacity of 450 kg, passenger(s) would be deboarded & cancelled for the Heli-tour without any refund.

OVERWEIGHT CHARGES : ON PER SEAT BASIS ONLY - Overweight charges are applicable @ INR 2000/kg. This will be chargeable to passengers weighing above 75 kg. But excess weight (not exceeding helicopter’s -total weight limitation) will only be calculated on the total excess weight above the total permissible weight of all the group members combined, i.e., permissible weight = 75 Kg x (No. of pax).

Furthermore, any discrepancy found in the weights of the passengers, which would be chargeable as per the overweight criteria, the same would be collected prior to boarding of flights.

BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE - Only one baggage weighing a maximum of 5 kgs is allowed per passenger. It Is not permitted to carry suitcases or any other luggage bags in the helicopter. Therefore, duffle bags are provided by our staff to all passengers on the day of arrival.

In view of our helicopters’ limited weight carrying capacity, we reserve the right to shuffle passengers between helicopters to manage the right weight for safe flying in the hills . Therefore, passengers travelling together may not be accommodated in same helicopter flight.

ARRIVAL DATE  - Our Chardham 4N5D Heli-tours are booked departure date wise. However, passengers have to arrive Dehradun one day prior to the departure date . Dehradun complimentary night stay which is provided on the arrival date makes our package a 5Night/6Days tour. The actual flying commences from day 02 of the tour.

SEATING CAPACITY - The maximum seating capacity for our helicopters is 06 passengers + 01 Crew.

INFANTS  - Infant below 2 years or 12kg are accommodated free of charge. For verification of age the child, ID proof/birth certificate of the child will be checked.

BAD WEATHER & FORCE MAJEURE DISCLAIMER

Flying in hills is subject to bad weather, and many Force Majeure factors like delayed Air Traffic Clearances / Permissions, VVIP movements, valley flying by Indian Air Force (NOTAM), sudden occurrence of technical snag in aircraft, illness of flying crew or late reporting of the passengers at the helipads, among others. Therefore, passengers must be prepared to face any eventuality and inconvenience in case of such scenarios.

HOTELS Details

• SERSI  : Sersi Heights, or similar (AP basis - all meals)
• BADRINATH   : Hotel KD Niwas/Amritara/Lords Place or similar (ap basis - all meals)

- Hotels & rooms are subject to sudden changes. - Rooms are booked on double or triple sharing basis only. - For a separate single occupancy room, it will be extra chargeable @ INR 30,000/person (tax inclusive). - Hotels at all the Dhams are non-star category. However, we have carefully selected the most comfortable & best rated properties for our Heli-tours.

We strongly advise our passengers to keep one additional day at hand , over & above the 2N3D period, to avoid inconvenience in case passengers get stuck at any of the destinations due to bad weather or force majeure scenarios.

Other Terms and Guidelines

• Airport transfers will be provided only on the arrival day at Dehradun, and on the last day, i.e., 6th day of the tour.
• Any donations, tips, pitthu, palki/pony and porter charges shall be borne by the passengers.
• AADHAR Card copies are to be shared by all Indian passengers, & passport in case of foreign nationals.
• Helicopter Company has its own crew at all the Dhams. For any guidance or assistance, passengers are free to reach out to them.
• Network connectivity at Harsil & Badrinath is very poor. BSNL & Jio are the main telecom services, that work in these regions mostly, but not always. However, our staff shall be with the passengers for assistance at all times.
• All temples in Chardham sector are located at high altitude, therefore passengers are advised to carry medication during travel. Also, they are advised to carry heavy woollen clothing with them, because during evenings & nights, the temperature can drop drastically.
• MEDICAL EMERGENCIES - We will not be liable for any medical emergency on the ground to the passengers. Therefore, in your own interest, passengers are hereby advised to kindly consult a doctor and get medical check-up done before commencing the yatra. Medical check-up is mainly required if a passenger has any medical ailment or condition.
• Patients with psychiatric issues, such as depression or obsessive compulsive disorders or any sort of mental illness, will not be allowed to fly due to safety reasons.
• CARRIAGE BY AIR ACT, 1972 -  The carriage is subject to Helicopter Company regulations relating to the conditions of Non-International Carriage (Passenger and Baggage) framed in accordance with The Carriage by Air Act, 1972 and Notification regarding application of the carriage which is non-international. The liability of the company for damage sustained in the event of the death or wounding of a passenger or any other bodily injury suffered by passenger or by his registered baggage during the course of carriage by air will be governed by the provisions of sections 4,5,6 and the rules contained in the second Schedule of Carriage by Air Act 1972 with certain exceptions, adaptations, modifications, etc as notified in the Govt. of India, Ministry of Civil Aviation Notification and as amended from time to time.
• Helicopter Company reserves the right to cancel passengers, who are unruly, abusive, intoxicated, sick, mentally unfit or anyone else whom we deem to be unsafe to fly. No refund shall be done to such passenger(s).

RESCHEDULING OF BOOKING

Rescheduling your booking to any future or prior travel date, will be done subject to availability, and on payment of 10% of the total tour cost. This will be permitted only if informed at least 30 days before arrival date.

In case rescheduling is requested less than 30 days prior to the travel date, then the booking would be treated as cancelled, & a fresh booking will be given subject to availability, after the levy of applicable cancellation charges.

PAYMENT TERMS

The booking has to be done in advance with a deposit of 50% of the total amount. Balance payment has to be deposited 14 days prior to the date of arrival at Dehradun. Passengers will not be permitted to board or commence the tour, unless full & final payment of the tour has been done.

FORCE MAJEURE & BAD WEATHER REFUNDS:

Tour Cost: 25% of total tour cost for each unutilized travel sector (Dham), minus INR 15,000 per person toward the flight preparation & ground arrangement charges.

Additional Services : Deduction of any additional services provided at any of the Dhams during the tour of the passengers will be deducted over & above the refundable Tour Cost. Refund against any unutilized service will not be calculated separately and added to the refundable- amount.

COVID-19 Case, or any National/State Emergency:

In case passengers test COVID positive before the travel, or the Yatra gets called-off by the government, or any National or State emergency is imposed, there will be no refunds applicable.

However, passengers will be provided a Credit Voucher by eUttaranchal Travel Network against the advance paid, which will be valid for one year. It can be utilised against any of our helicopter tours or charter services (for the full amount of the credit voucher), by the passengers or any of their friends/relatives.

BAD WEATHER & FORCE MAJEURE POLICIES:

• Where bad weather, technical snags or any force majeure reason beyond Helicopter Company control results in the cancellation of your flight being delayed or cancelled, Helicopter Company will not be liable in any way for the cancelled or delayed flight. However, refund will be given to clients as per our refunds policy. Any kind of inconvenience caused because of cancellation of flights is beyond the control of the operator. No compensation or reimbursement for accommodation, transportation, meals or any other extra travel expenses done by the passengers shall be offered in the event of cancellation of a flight.
• In case tour departure does not take place from Dehradun on Day One due to above reasons, tour will be considered as cancelled and full refund as per our policies will be made. However, in case the passengers would like to consider taking the tour on the next available date, a fresh booking can be made for the same. Our team will propose the available options to the passengers. The balance/unutilized amount against previous booking can be adjusted against the fresh booking. And any extra costs that would be accruing, will have to be borne by the passengers. In case the tour departs from Dehradun as per schedule but gets disrupted, while the tour is ongoing, our team will propose the possible revised itinerary within the scheduled package days, but without any extension of days.
• Any extension, proposed by the passengers, in the package will only be considered at an extra cost and subject to operational viability.
• In case for 05 straight days flying does not take place, full refund as per our policies will be made to the passengers.
• New Chardham passenger(s) scheduled for departure from Dehradun on any respective travel date shall be our top priority, over the back-log passenger(s) of previous days(s).
• Additional night halt charges will be payable by the passengers to hotels on direct payment basis, when they get stuck for additional nights due to bad weather/force majeure reasons.
• Helicopter may not fly to Harsil/Jhalla, in case of turbulent wind conditions – which is often in the Harsil valley after 1200 Hrs.
• If any passenger(s) require ferry flights to be operated for them in emergency, cost for the same will be charged to the party @ INR 125,000/hr plus GST.
• While the tour is ongoing, if any group demands to cancel their tour mid-way, the arrangement of transportation will be done by Helicopter Company , however, cost for the same will be borne by the passengers on direct payment basis.
• Any increase in government levies or taxes, after the confirmation of booking, will be extra chargeable to the passengers. Payment against the same will have to be made before the commencement of tour.

Disputes as to legality, interpretation, application or performance of service or any of its terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Uttarakhand Jurisdiction.

Day 01: delhi - haridwar.

Arrive in Delhi to a warm welcome by our tour guide who escorts you to the waiting coach to take you on a wonderful 215 Km drive to Haridwar, the starting point of the Do Dham Yatra. Check into your hotel and then set out in the evening for the Ganga Aarti at Har ki Pauri on the banks of the Holy Ganga River. Explore the streets in the evening.

Day 02: Haridwar – Rudraprayag

An eventful day is in store. After breakfast, the coach takes you on a 6 hour, 165 km drive to Rudraprayag. We stop at Devprayag where the Bhagirathi confluences with the Alaknanda and devotees can take a dip or worship at

the Raghunath temple. We proceed to Rudraprayag with the view of the countryside keeping you engaged. Rudraprayag is the site of the confluence of Alaknanda with Mandakini and a pilgrimage destination of importance. Check into your hotel and relax for the night.

Day 03: Rudraprayag – Kedarnath

Get into the coach after breakfast for the 8 hour 220 km drive to Rishikesh, the city of Ashrams. Here we step into one of the most famous one, the Sivananda Ashram and then go on to visit Laxman Jhoola, Pramarth Niketan and the Gita Bhavan. Rest for some time or explore the streets of Rishikesh until evening when you join the group for the evening Aarti on the banks of the Ganga at Pramarth Niketan. Day 08: Rishikesh – Haridwar – Delhi

• Cover your head with Monkey cap or any other woolen clothes while on high altitude to avoid hill-sickness, giddiness etc. at KedarnathandYamunotri.
• Keep on drinking water to avoid dehydration.
• Trek only on hill-side, avoid trekking or standing on valley side, as pony (horse) coming from opposite direction may push you down to the valley which may cause serious casualty.

• Weighing at the time of boarding the helicopter is a must, since the company shall not allow boarding in case the total weight exceeds the weight limitation of the helicopter. And, due to the same reason, in case of more than 01 available aircraft, we reserve the right to shuffle passengers between different groups to manage the right weight of helicopters for safe flying in the hills.
• While changing the helicopter at Kedarnath or Guptkashi/Phata/sitapur the waiting time is between 10 mins to 3 hrs. depending on Shuttle slots / weather conditions or technical reasons or ground situations.
• Rescheduling of booking to a next date will be done subject to availability and on payment of 10% of the cost. This will be permitted only if applied 7 days before journey date. In case the rescheduling is requested with less than 7 days to the journey then booking will be treated as cancelled and a fresh booking will be given subject to availability.
• If due to any reasons beyond our control like bad weather conditions, flood, Pandemic, riots, political unrest, bandhs, or any other natural or man-made misfortunes, program will have needed to be changed or extended. The additional expenditure for the same will have to be borne by the passengers directly.
• In case of charter getting cancelled due to bad weather or any other reasons on the date of your travel, the booking will not be revalidated for the next day. Refund as per the refunds/cancellations policy, with no further obligation of Company whatsoever. Any kind of inconvenience caused because of cancellation of flights is beyond the control of the operator. No compensation, reimbursement or arrangements shall be offered in the event of cancellation of a flight.
• Our company shall not be liable for any medical emergency on the ground to the party. Therefore, in your own interest, guests are hereby advised to kindly consult a doctor and get medical check-up done, before commencing the yatra. Medical check-up is mainly required if a guest has any medical suffering/condition.
• In case the journey is not finished within the stipulated time and passengers are not able to visit one or more Dhams due to bad weather conditions/technical reasons then the company will try to visit all places within the stipulated time. Although if this is not possible then the liability of the company will be limited to refund of unutilised sector/s.
• 100% refund shall be applicable in case the entire tour gets cancelled due to any Force Majeure reason, minus flight preparation charges of INR 2,500 Per Person Per Sector and any additional services provided to guests.
• Where bad weather, technical snags or any force majeure reason beyond company control results in the cancellation of the flight being delayed or cancelled, Company will not be liable in any way for the cancelled or delayed flight. However, refund will be given to clients as per the refunds policy. Any kind of inconvenience caused because of cancellation of flights is beyond the control of the operator. No compensation or reimbursement for accommodation, transportation, meals or any other travel expenses done by the guests shall be offered in the event of cancellation of a flight.
