My partner and I did the caving, waterfall abseilling and white water rafting with Aventoro, it truly gave us some of the most spectacular views and allowed us to experience some of the greatest adventures in nature we could have imagined! Marcus picked us up promptly on time in his very comfortable, air conditioned car. He was friendly, informative, welcoming and we had a great chat while driving! He also gave us some insight into a little Malaysian history and answered all our questions with great knowledge :) When we reached our destination, we were met with the most lovely, funny and kind team to take us out on a full day of adventure, exploring.. and eating!!! Firstly, we explored the most amazing cave Id ever been in.. it was colossal, like something out of a movie! Our guide explained all about the caves as we made our way through, all with a warm smile on his face! He was happy to answer all questions and took lots of photos for us! Half way through our exploration there was a water stream inside the cave, where we continued our adventure deeper into the cave while paddling through the beautiful cool water, admiring the structure of this beautiful cave! It really was like magic, with no one else in the cave it felt like we were the first explorers 🤣 After the cave we took a ride to our next location where we sat in the back of the truck and took an adventure through the jungle, mountains, and little towns, where we were able to view wild animals and see how the locals live! It was absolutely picturesque! We were treated to a beautiful meal before heading to waterfall abseiling, wow! Again, not a tourist in sight, it was our own waterfall! The guides were all about safety and made sure we felt comfortable, we were in very good hands. The spot was magical, a waterfall system in the forest with little rockpools, and surrounded by the sounds of birds singing. Im not athletic at all, it was pretty easy and so much fun! The guys really looked after us :) next... off to another wonderful meal and drinks right on the river in the middle of the untouched jungle, wow! This was an absolutely spectacular view!!! After our meal we were given safety briefs and onto the river we went for the white water rafting.. this is a must! We had an incredibly fun time laughing with our guides as we headed down sooo many rapids, all while feeling really safe but having the time of our lives, and of course some still water to spot wildlife and to take in the million dollar view, and see the beautiful butterflies in the forest. There was a stop off to have a little swim and sit in the forest and take some pictures too. After the rafting... more food!!!! We were so full, but what a great opportunity to try the locals traditional foods! The guides had a gopro and caught all the action and sent it straight to us, they really went above and beyond. After all this another ride through lush forest and then back to Marcus who was waiting for us at the end! All in all this is a full day of amazing adventure, food and wonderful company, you dont have to worry about a thing, youll be taken care of, and no matter what your fitness level youll be able to enjoy a range of really fun activities while taking the most scenic, incredible parts of Malaysia that you wouldnt ever see!!!! Helicopter Ride with KL Sky Tour

It was a clear morning when we arrived at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur for our helicopter ride. I had been here August last year for KL Sky Tour ‘s soft launch but I did not get the chance to fly on that day. The queue was so long and I had other engagements to attend to.

This time, I was very lucky to be invited to fly with KL Sky Tour and since there were only 9 of us, we had ample time to lounge about, learn more on KL Sky Tour’s operations and we even witnessed a wedding proposal!

KL Sky Tour at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur

Located at the heliport of Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur, the KL Sky Tour is open to public every day from 9.30am to 6.30pm daily. There are no night flies though, due to security reasons. Guests can walk-in any time for a tour or guests can also make appointment beforehand to avoid long waiting period.

KL Sky Tour in Taman Tasik Titiwangsa is not the only helicopter ride in operation by the company Cempaka Helicopters. Cempaka Helicopters has been in operation for many years and are established in other states as well, such as Penang, Langkawi, Terengganu and soon, Melaka. So you can be rest assured that the company knows what they’re dealing with.

The pilots are not locals and very well-experienced. Our Captain who flew us that day was Mr. Barry who apologized to us of the bumpy ride due to the strong wind. Yes, it was very windy on that day and since we rode the smaller sized Robinson R44, it was a little exciting as you feel the sudden hard shake when a strong gust of wind hit the side of the helicopter.

We only went for the 6 minutes ride which allowed us to see some of Kuala Lumpur’s finest from an aeriel point of view. We saw Kuala Lumpur’s popular attractions such as the Petronas Twin Towers (KLCC) , KL Tower and other skyscrapers. We also saw the historical Merdeka Square , National Stadium and National Mosque . Not to mention some of Kuala Lumpur’s amazing heritage buildings like the Sultan Abdul Samad Building , Masjid Jamek and so much more.

KL Sky Tour has two types of helicopters operating in Kuala Lumpur which are the Robinson R44 and Robinson 66. The Robinson R44 can fit four (4) people only, including the pilot whereas the Robinson 66 can fit five (5) people including pilot. However, only the Robinson R44 is in operation at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa. The Robinson 66 is only available for charter.

The cheapest ride would be the 6 minutes ride where you will see part of Kuala Lumpur City Centre and the most expensive ride would be the 45 minutes ride that brings you all the way to Genting Highlands. Price of rides are as below:

Unless you plan to ride alone, the price are quite affordable if you share the ride with your other friends and split the price between you. The price schedule above is for flying with Robinson R44. Since the Robinson 66 can fit 4 people, the price is different and only available for charter or special events.

On that same day, we managed to steal and share one couple’s memorable marriage proposal. However, this is not the common “boy ask girl to marry” proposal, but it was the other way around.

We were told that the lady has contacted KL Sky Tour prior to the ride to inform of her plan of proposing to her boyfriend. For that, KL Sky Tour prepared a mini board that wrote “Can I Be Your Mrs” and a bouquet of roses that myself and a friend ended up holding as the couple landed on the ground. She looked nervous when she proposed but he did smile and nodded before she ended putting on the ring on her boyfriend’s finger. Yes, it was all good and congratulations were in order as I passed the bouquet of flowers to the lovely couple.

The ride is at a reasonable price for the KL Express…hurmm..should I go and hit my boyfriend? Hahaha

There were some people who hated flying too but they said the experience flying in a helicopter is different than in an aeroplane. But, don’t take my word for it. Something like this should be experienced yourself.

Hi Ida. The price is per ride. So it would be cheaper if you have more friends sharing the ride. Maximum is 3 person (4, if you count the pilot) per ride.

A Sky Tour of Kuala Lumpur by Helicopter

You can now take to the air to see the sights of Kuala Lumpur city and, in just six minutes. Daily helicopter rides are available for this experience from the helipad at Taman Titiwangsa Park located just outside the city. The operator, Cempaka Helicopters will bring you up to the blue skies for an amazing bird’s eye view of Kuala Lumpur, where you can see the Petronas Twin Towers, KL Tower, Dataran Merdeka (Merdeka Square), National Stadium and other landmarks of the city. This is at RM198 per person and each flight is for a minimum of three passengers.

KL Sky Tour also offers 15, 30 and 45 minute rides for those who are willing to spend a bit and desire to see more of the city from above. Currently Cempaka Helicopters provide a wide range of services from corporate and VIP transfers to private helicopter charters.

• The Company reserves the right to inspect the validity of this ticket during or upon the KL Hop On Hop Off tour bus rides. The driver or any other employees of the Company on demand may perform ticket inspections.
• This ticket is NOT transferable.
• Neither the Company NOR the authorized agents NOR their employees, are liable in any way responsible for any deaths, accidents, personal injuries, losses or damages, which are NOT due to the gross negligence by the mentioned parties. Moreover, they are NOT liable for any complaints, claims, refunds, or exchanges for any reasons whatsoever concerning any valid cancellations or postponements of the tour.
• The Company and/or its authorized agents reserve all the rights to change any of the tours; pertaining to the details of the tours, route of the tours, the seating capacity on the bus or any other matters without prior notice.
• The Company and/or its authorized agents reserve all the rights to postpone, cancel, delay, or stop the tour due to any adverse weather, non-conducive conditions, any natural disasters, or any other causes beyond their control.
• The Company and/or its authorized agents reserve all the rights to refuse admission of any ticket holders, whose conduct is inappropriate without refunding and/or compensating.
• Tour tickets purchased from any other than the Company or its authorized agents are INVALID , hence admission to the tour buses shall be denied.
• Any complaints regarding the tour, including but not limited to cancellations, refunds or any postponements, must be directed to the respective parties (the Company or authorized agents), where tickets were purchased, unless specified differently by the Company.
• The Company will not be held responsible for any lost or damaged personal belongings during the tour.
• Smoking, eating and drinking are strictly prohibited on the bus.
• Any harmful/dangerous items such as, personal weapons or sharp objects, which may cause harm to other passengers, are strictly prohibited on the tour bus. In addition, the Company reserves the right to confiscate and/or demand of the item disposal and/or expel and/or deny admission of the wrongdoer from the tour bus.
• The Company or its employees reserve the rights to charge/impeach and/or call in the authority in the case of any violation of Malaysia’s laws.
• Children below the age of 5 travel for free.
• Without any immediate objections upon receiving and verifying this ticket, shall be deemed as acceptance of, and agreement of all of the Terms and Conditions, and the Company’s full Condition of Carriage.
• This ticket holder must understand and accept all the risks and dangers incidental to the tours, whether it might occur prior to, during or subsequent to the event, including but not limited to any deaths, personal injuries, losses, damages or liabilities.
• The tickets are strictly non-transferrable and not for resale. No cancellation or refund is allowed once tickets sold.
• However, the ticket sold during the COVID-19 pandemic and Malaysia's Goverment Movement Control Order (MCO), for each ticket purchased, it is subject to three (3) months validation period ( *Subject to T&C )

• Passengers may be excluded from transport if they come to the bus under the influence of alcohol, narcotic or other psychotropic substances; and/or if they, in spite of being warned:

• Passenger who was excluded from transport is not entitled to any fare refund or price of seat reservation ticket refund.
