Juice plus Teure Obst- und Gemüsekapseln

Mit Vorsicht zu genießen

Das Nahrungs­ergän­zungs­mittel besteht aus dem getrock­neten Saft und Mark von Obst und Gemüse. Das Ganze wird noch mit einer Extra-Vitamindosis aufgepeppt (Vitamin C, E, Folsäure, Provitamin A). Doch die Kapseln sind mit Vorsicht zu genießen.

Über­maß gefähr­lich - besonders für Raucher

Im Über­maß können konzentrierte Vitamine dem Menschen schaden. Besonders kritisch ist zu viel isoliertes Provitamin A (Betakarotin). Bei starken Rauchern steigert es auf Dauer das Lungenkrebs­risiko. Daher muss auf Arznei­mitteln mit mehr als 2 Milli­gramm isoliertem Provitamin A ein Warnhin­weis für Raucher stehen. Eine Tages­dosis Juice plus – zwei Obst-, zwei Gemüsekapseln – liefert weit mehr Provitamin A, nämlich 7,5 Milligramm.

Zugabe unnötig

Doch die Pflicht, zu warnen, gilt nicht für Nahrungs­ergän­zungs­mittel. Zumal ist bei Juice plus ungewiss, wie viel Provitam A natürlich und wie viel zugesetzt ist. Gewiss ist nur, dass die Zugabe unnötig ist. In Deutsch­land herrscht kein Mangel an Provitamin A.

Ich habe es monatelang eingenommen und meine Allergie ist weg! Also bestes Mittel!

Mich würde brennend interessieren welches Pharmaunternehmen diese Schwachsinns Beurteilung finanziert hat? Obst, Gemüse und Beeren im Supermarkt sind in den meisten Fällen NICHT voll reif geerntet und erst dann entstehen 80% der Vitamine und Nährstoffe. Mit der Pestizidbelastung und dass Bio nicht so Bio wie es klingt und den tierischen Giften fang ich garnicht an. Und weil da ebene kaum Vitamine drin sind muss man ja täglich 7-10 Sorten essen. Das schafft aber kein Mensch zu mal auch generell über 80% der Lebensmittel viel zu ungesund sind. Deshalb gibts so viele Volkskrankheiten, Übergewicht ,Allergien mit denen die Pharmaindustrie Geld macht! Also glaubt nicht alles was im Internet steht. 120 Jahre mit 43 Studien sind diese Kapseln erforscht , voll reif ohne Hilfsmittel gereift und geerntet , schonend verarbeitet, Wasser + Zucker entzogen. Ich habe mich extra angemeldet, weil ich diesen mißt nicht ertragen konnte. Jeder der mal Ernährungskunde hatte, der weiß genau: eine Vitaminose bzw übermäßige Vitamin Aufnahme exestiert nur bei künstlichen isolierten Vitaminen!! Bei natürlichen Lebensmitteln ist das gar nicht möglich! Da unser Körper nur die Nährstoffe die er braucht aufnimmt und die restlichen werden einfach ausgeschieden. Zu dem empfehle ich noch die Tests von Galileo Welt der Wunder. Die haben sich nämlich juice plus genau angeschaut! Liebe Grüße

Wie und ob das Produkt wirkt habt ihr ja gehört. Ich bin erschrocken, dass hier keiner auf die Vermarktungsart der Produkte aufmerksam macht, die in Kombination mit der Wirkung dieser Pillen gefährlich ist! Einschleimende Jünglinge schreiben einem über Social Media an und sorgen mit falscher Aufklärung dafür, dass sich die Menschen diese Pillen kaufen. Ja, die Menschen kaufen nicht die Pillen wegen der bewiesen Wirkung, sondern wegen einschleimenden falschen Versprechungen. Bitte, verfallt nicht in den Wahn und unterstützt diese Geldmasche. Schaut euch auf YouTube verschiedene Dokus zu Juice+ an und seid im Internet vorsichtig!

🤩Mein Erfolg🤩

Seitdem ich meine Tochter bekommen habe, die inzwischen drei ist, habe ich jeden Sommer einen Badeanzug zum Schwimmen getragen. Vorher war es immer ein Bikini. Jedoch ist meine Problemzone schon immer der Bauch gewesen. Da ist so eine Schwangerschaft nicht förderlich 😅

Ich habe schon einiges an Diäten gemacht: WW, Low Carb, Kalorien zählen,Eiweiss Shakes. Es war aber immer das Selbe. Erst habe ich abgenommen und dann der JoJo Effekt. Durch Verbote kamen immer die Gelüste. Einige kommen damit zurecht, ich leider auf Dauer nicht.

Dann kam eine sehr gute Freundin mit ihren „Shakes“ an und Sie war zu 100% davon überzeugt. Ich war sehr skeptisch, da ich schon einiges an Diäten durch gemacht habe. Und was hat sich bei mir seit Januar 2022 verändert: – 5,5 kg weniger -2 Gürtellöcher weniger -Schuppenflechte auf meiner Kopfhaut sind fast weg – keine Kopfschmerzen während der Periode – kein Reizdarmsymdrom mehr – ich ziehe nun wieder ein Bikini an 👙😊

Es ist also so viel mehr als ich gedacht habe und gibt mir soviel mehr an Lebensqualität.

Und wer glaubt ich hätte seit Januar keine Burger, Pizza & Co. gegessen sowie mal ein Glas Wein getrunken, der kennt mich nicht. Das könnte ich mir nie abgewönnen 🙈🙉🙊

Die Love Yourself Journey begann für mich im Jahr 2014, und seitdem hat sie mein Leben in vielerlei Hinsicht positiv beeinflusst. Diese Reise hat mir nicht nur mehr Energie gebracht, sondern auch geholfen, einen gesunden Lebensstil mühelos in meinen Alltag zu integrieren, selbst in dieser schnelllebigen Zeit. Dieser Blog-Post erzählt meine persönliche Erfahrung mit der Love Yourself Journey und wie sie mir geholfen hat, meine Lebensqualität zu steigern.

Der Beginn meiner Reise

Im Jahr 2014, als ich die Love Yourself Journey startete, fühlte ich mich oft ausgelaugt und energielos. Der Stress des Alltags und eine ungesunde Ernährung hatten ihren Tribut gefordert. Doch dann stieß ich auf die Love Yourself Journey und begann, die Prinzipien dieser Reise in mein Leben zu integrieren.

Seitdem ich diese Reise begonnen habe, hat sich mein Leben deutlich verbessert. Ich fühle mich vitaler und habe mehr Energie, um den Herausforderungen des Alltags standzuhalten. Das Geheimnis dahinter ist das sogenannte Powerfood, das mir eine ausgewogene und gesunde Ernährung ermöglicht. Dieses Powerfood ist nicht nur lecker, sondern auch bequem in den Alltag zu integrieren.

Gesunder Lifestyle leicht gemacht

Die Love Yourself Journey macht es einfach, einen gesunden Lebensstil beizubehalten. Die Produkte, die diese Reise begleiten, sind speziell entwickelt, um eine gute Versorgung sicherzustellen. Damit wird es selbst in der schnelllebigen Zeit von heute möglich, auf eine ausgewogene Ernährung zu achten und die eigene Gesundheit zu fördern.

Love Yourself Review: Calorie counted fresh meals delivered with MyFitnessPal integration [Performance Diet]

A food delivery service may not fall under my theme of consumer technology, but I do cover health and fitness . As a keen fitness enthusiast, I am interested in anything that could help optimise my performance or just make my life a bit easier.

I always used to think food delivery services were a rip-off, with the cost of them being disproportionate to the food you get. However, in recent years, as my workload and finances have increased, I have started to appreciate why people may use services like this and why so many people eat takeaway multiple times per week.

Love Yourself Plans

While I don’t have extensive knowledge of fresh meal services, Love Yourself appears to have one of the best options on the market if you are interested in fitness and/or weight loss.

The company has 12 separate plans catering for different diets, plus a platinum plan. This includes vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, Halal, Keto, low carb and performance.

Then each plan has different calories counts. Typically you have four options going from 1200-2500. Then for performance, it goes up to 3000, and Keto has a 3200 calorie plan.

I opted for the Performance Diet which is based on 35/35/30 split for macros which is the most often recommended balance for performance. It is not something I have followed, I have found my performance and satiety cope quite well on lower-fat diets, and I eat so much food I don’t particularly need to commit to 35% protein.

I also needed the 3000-calorie plan, as I typically eat 3.5K+ per day due to my activity levels.

Delivery & Packaging

[Update – Correction] Originally I had stated this was delivered on Tuesday, thinking it was a late delivery. The FAQ of the  Love Yourself website clearly states the DPD deliveries are done three days per week with a schedule of:

  • Tuesday:  You will receive food for Tuesday and Wednesday
  • Thursday:  You will receive food for Thursday and Friday
  • Friday:  You will receive food for Saturday (and Sunday if 6 day order)

One downside of the above is that you would miss a Monday and I imagine most people want their food Monday-Friday.

Some of the food looked a bit squashed and some of the plastic packets and opened up a little. Not too much of a problem, nothing was ruined but no ideal.

Depending on where you live, the meals normally get delivered daily.

Meal Reviews:

With a 5-meal plan, you are probably supposed to space your meals out evenly, however, I typically fast until lunch, and on the first day, the package didn’t arrive until 11am, so I stuck to my usual schedule. I also had no intention of having an egg sandwich for my breakfast.

The 2 nd day coincided with my long run day, so I had my oat, banana and chia seed smoothie/mousse/porridge pre-run, and I ate quite a bit of other food as it was a 16-mile run.

With each meal, you can use the barcode scanner on MyFitnessPal to scan the meal into the system, making it far easier to add than searching for meals yourself. If you stick to this plan strictly, you probably don’t need to use MyFitnessPal because all the work is done for you, but it is a good way to make sure you stick to your calories and provide some accountability when you cheat.

  • Bread is probably my favourite food, and I am quite picky with it. I have no time for bad bread. This was not good bread. To be fair, my initial impression was that it was going to be inedible, it was dry and dense. But the actual flavour was OK, and I guess the density helps with satiety.
  • The turkey and avocado were quite nice.
  • This looked disgusting but I was pleasantly surprised how nice it tasted.
  • This tasted good. It needed microwaving for much longer than the suggested two minutes. Even though the ingredients listed tomato first, it was basically just pasta, chicken and cheese, so quite calories dense, making a small portion.
  • For a start this was boiled potatoes with beetroot, cabbage and cauliflower – similar but not the same as what was listed.
  • This one wasn’t great, very very bland and dry. Cauliflower by itself with no sauce or condiments has to be one of the dullest foods ever.
  • The overall portion size was good here. Cauliflower, beetroot and cabbage are all good for padding out your food.
  • This was one was good, it had a curried flavour which was quite mild, likely so it wouldn’t be too spicy for some buyers, but it was still good. A decent amount of here, but not loads.

  • Oat, banana and chia seed mousse

  • Same issue with the bread as the previous day.
  • While the eggs and turkey didn’t look particularly appetising, they were nice together.
  • No condiments were supplied, so you either have it dry, or you cheat on your first meal of the day.
  • What I actually got was an oat, banana and chia seed mousse. While it was more like porridge it did have a slightly lighter or fluffy texture. It tasted OK, I think I would have prefered a more porridge like texture. I prefered the smoothie from day 1.
  • The tortilla was a pancake which was quite unnusual but I guess it avoided being dry like the egg sandwiches. It was actually quite nice, but not something I would choose over a proper wrap.
  • The high meat and carby tortilla ratio made the portion size quite small for this one.
  • I actually love cottage cheese, but I imagine this wouldn’t be a very popular meal. Nor is it very inventive or time-saving
  • I palmed this one off on my partner in favour of something more calorific. However, it tasted nice. It would have worked better for a mid-day meal. Again, this was quite calorie dense, especially for a salad. The three main ingrediates were sweet potato, then chickpeas then feta.

Overall Impressions of the meals

I found the food itself to be quite enjoyable, and I certainly appreciate it taking 2 or 3 minutes to make my lunch vs 20+ mins.

Not every meal was great, it wasn’t bad and quite edible, just very boring, which could be an issue if I was committing to this long term. A lot of people on a performance-specific calorie-controlled diet will likely fall into the trap of eating boring and repetitive food, if you are the sort of person that ends up eating a lot of plain rice, chicken and veg, then there is nothing on this menu that you will find too boring.

I found some of the meal sizes to be quite small due to the fact that it was predominantly protein combined with pasta/potato/bread.

As an ex obese person that does a lot of exercise, one of the methods I have used to deal with my hunger is to cut back on carb-heavy foods like rice and pasta and pad them out with veg. I think anyone that struggles with their appetite and is on one of the lower-calorie options may struggle with the portion sizes for some of the meals.  This doesn’t apply to all of them though, the potato with chicken, beetroot & cabbage had a good veg to carb/meat ratio.

At first, I thought this plan wouldn’t get a decent portion of micronutrients. Midway through day 1 I thought there was no way I’d get 5+ portions of fruit or veg. However, it looks like it does, probably only just over the RDA but good enough. One benefit to this plan vs my normal diet is a little more variety, my diet typically consists of peppers, mushrooms, onion, carrot, cabbage, sweetcorn and strawberries, then not much else. So, with this plan I probably get a wider variety of micronutrients.

I noticed one online review claim the food is unseasoned, while another claimed it had too much salt. Knowing what professional chefs and packaged food is like with salt, I expected these to be overloaded, however, this is not quite the case. Looking at the reported nutritional values, it comes in at about 5-6g so the top end of your RDA, and this is for the 3K plan, lower-calorie counts should have less salt. It would be good if Love Yourself included this data in MyFitnessPal.

Perhaps coincidentally, my Garmin Fenix 6 recorded much more deep sleep than I normally get following a day on this diet. I have wondered if my poor sleep could be attributed to my diet, and my sugar intake has definitely increased over the past year or so.  So this has motivated me to look into optimising my normal diet.

Time Saved vs Cost of the Food

As someone that has cooked all my food fresh for the last 10+ years and baulked at the cost of meal delivery services a few years ago (when I was poor), the time-saving benefits here are revelationary.

The benefits here will obviously be dependant on your lifestyle and earnings, but I estimate I save nearly an hour per day with planning, prepping, cooking and cleaning. I wrote up the first half of this review during the time I would have gone down to start prepping dinner and cleaning up from lunch.

If I could convert that time to billable hours, then £20+ per day in delivered food quickly becomes more cost-efficient than making everything yourself.

Price and Alternative Options

The 3000 calories performance diet is £130 for 5 days or £28 for 1 day, and you can get a 10% discount if you subscribe. So, on a subscription that £23.40 per day or £4.68 per meal.

Then the one off 5 day payment options are:

  • 2500 calories: £125
  • 2000 calories: £120
  • 1500 calories: £115

Good Prep is £135 or £27 per day, including three meals per day and one snack. Most of the main meal sizes are around 450 calories, so fewer overall calories than mine. It is also more work for you, as you will have to count out your own calories/macros.

Balance Box is £261 per week but covers all 7-days, but that still works out at £37.40 per day, and you don’t get the same level of calorie choices or diet plans.

Chefly can do up to twelve meals per week, dropping the price down to £6.99 per meal. The ordering process makes it easy to see the calories carbs and protein so you could build you own plan, but it is still less convenient.

Nutrition Kitchen offers the same idea of calorie-counted goal-orientated meals, but a one week plan with 3 meals each day with an average of 560 calories is £123.60.

I have some mixed feelings towards this service, but I do like it and I think it would work well for a lot of people (people that are more normal than me).

The time saved planning, prepping and making meals could end up making this a cost-efficient way of eating healthy – depending on how busy you are and how valuable your time is. I also prefer this style of service compared to the likes of Hello Fresh and Gousto. It is the time it takes to cook my food and clean up that I can’t be bothered with.

I enjoyed most of the food, it wasn’t always amazing, but it is certainly good enough for weekday eating. I also love the way you can scan it into MyFitnessPal, minimising the chances of your cheating by not counting things.

This service is a lot more appealing for buyers that can get their food delivered daily. Looking at most competing options, it is often done in batches with twice week deliveries.

Looking at the comparables, Love Yourself appears to offer the best value for money on the market while at the same time offering a easier to select plans and a superior range of diet and calorie options.

Love Yourself Delivered Meals Review Rating

There is a lot to like about Love Yourself. For anyone short on time but needed a specific calorie-controlled diet, this is an ideal choice.  While a lot of people will not find it cheap, the time saved could easily justify the cost, and it is more affordable than competing brands.

The food wasn’t always amazing, but I was on the performance diet, and these can be a bit bland at the best of times.

  • Overall - 70% 70%
  • Most meals were nice and they were all perfectly edible 
  • A superior choice of diets and calorie counted set meals than any other competing brand I could find
  • More attractive pricing than most/all competing brands
  • Local deliveries are daily guaranteeing fresh food. 
  • Some meals are very bland
  • Other meals are much more calorie-dense than I would expect on a calorie-restricted diet. 
  • DPD deliveries mean your schedule is Tuesday-Saturday, missing Monday

While your consciousness tells you what is morally correct and how to behave responsibly, self-loathing, on the other hand, beats you up for everything you are without you challenging it or recognizing that something is wrong with the way you talk to yourself.

1. Apologizing for everything that goes wrong. You think you are always at fault.

2. Setting goals low so you won’t disappoint yourself. You believe you’re not capable of reaching bigger goals.

3. Physical neglect. You do not care about your physical appearance and basic personal hygiene.

4. Struggling to accept compliments. You always worry about the intent behind compliments.

Self-loathing starts in childhood

Your critical inner voice can develop early on as you find yourself trying to figure out life and how to live it. It affects your thoughts and controls your behavior.

You believe it’s protecting you but in reality, it’s reinforcing feelings of guilt and shame and self-destructive behaviors.

As a child, you were extremely sensitive to the smallest increase your one or both of your parents’ levels of anger and stress.

Some children were abuse emotionally (were literally taught that they are worthless, bad, inadequate, not good enough, etc.) or even verbally and physically.

Even well-meaning parents, who did not understand the implications of some of their words, might have caused their child to take these words as core beliefs.

Fortunately, for most, negativity and anger episodes are few and far between. But for others, their experiences could have piled on guilt and shame leading to self-loathing.

Confirmation bias

Confirmation bias is a term used to explain the tendency for your mind to search for evidence to support your beliefs.

When you struggle with self-loathing, you will actively search for evidence that will support your beliefs about yourself. The evidence is mostly pure fabrications, whereas anything that suggests otherwise you will reject it.

This makes self-loathing a learned behavior, but it also means that it can be unlearned.

One of the best ways to find compassion for someone who hurt you is to imagine this person as a little kid who is acting out of fear in an attempt to protect themselves.

People usually act poorly when they’re in pain. Understanding this will help you find compassion for them. The same goes for anything you need to forgive yourself about.

2. Erase The Other Person From The Equation

Imagine yourself hanging out in your brand new boat when another boat bangs into you, leaving a scratch. If no one is on the boat, there’s no one to get mad at, and you deal with the situation in a calm way.

However, if someone is on the boat, you deal with it by going crazy.

The same situation, two different ways to react. One will leave you raging, the other opens your heart.

By refraining from blaming the other person, you erase him from the equation, and you start focusing on the situation at hand and how it can be fixed.

3. Choose to Be Happy Rather Than Right

Oftentimes, the key to freedom lies in choosing to be happy rather than right. When someone makes a mistake, instead of spinning out on it for days, it would feel so much better to let them think they’re right and just let it go.

4. Keep In Mind That You Won’t Even Remember This

Try to think about someone who had pissed you off three years ago. Can you come up with someone? If you can, can you get pissed off about them now? So why make a big deal out of it if you’re going to forget about it a year or two from now?

5. Forget About It

Once you’ve truly forgiven someone, forget all about it. Forgiveness is about pretending that we’re cool when we’re still holding on to some resentment. Instead, focus on their good behavior and intentions.

Step #9: Change Your Stories

The quality of our lives largely depends on the quality of our stories.

Oftentimes, we cling to false beliefs like “I don’t have the money,” and “I’m not good enough,” that we prevent ourselves from seeing the endless possibilities and opportunities surrounding us.

If you want to change your life, start with doing the following:

1. Become Aware of Your Stories

You are the author of your own life, and as soon as you decide to write yourself a better script, you’ll get to live a more fulfilling life.

But before you can let go of your old stories, you need to become aware of what they are. Whatever you want to do, ask yourself why you’re not doing it? What’s holding you back?

2. Become Aware of What You’re Gaining From Your Stories

Whatever you tell yourself is serving you, be it in a healthy way or an unhealthy way.

For example, if you’re story is that you’re depressed, even though it feels awful, you don’t have to work as hard you take much care of yourself. It feels familiar and comfortable and gets you attention from other people.

Without realizing it, we make the benefits we get from our stories more important than getting the things we really want. It feels comfortable and we’re scared to let go of the comfort and take responsibility for our own lives.

Only when you identify the false benefits you’re reaping from your stories that you can let go of these stories and replace them with more empowering ones.

3. Write New Stories

After identifying your old stories and the benefits you’re reaping from them, start writing new empowering stories.

Old story: There aren’t any good men out there.

Benefits: I don’t have to take responsibility for why I’m not meeting any.

New story: The world is filled with awesome, loving men, and I’m capable of, and so excited to find a good one for myself.

In order for the new stories to become your new truth, you need to focus on them and feel how happy and excited they make you feel. Let them be your new affirmations to repeat over and over until they replace the old stories completely.

4. Take Action

After changing your stories, get a move on. If you want to change your “depressed” story, stop listening to sad music. Stop complaining, and start focusing on the good. Do more of the things you love.

Think, talk, and behave the way a person who isn’t depressed does.

Step #10: Build Healthy and Supportive Relationships

Studies show that people who enjoy healthy, supportive relationships are happier and less stressed than those who don’t.

A study published in the American Journal of Epidemiology , shows that individuals who lacked social and community ties were two to three times more likely to die prematurely than those who were well connected.

The Change: Develop more healthy and supportive relationships, while avoiding those that are toxic.

The following are some ways to help you cultivate better communication and intimacy in your relationships:

1. Quality Control

If you want to build more supportive relationships, it’s important to know what qualities you deem important in the relationship.

Make a list of the qualities that make you feel loved, and supported the most and another list of qualities that make you feel the opposite.

Connect with people who possess these supportive qualities, and avoid individuals who possess the latter.

Even though you can’t completely cut off certain individuals out of your life, avoiding them and limiting your exposure to those individuals is critical to your mental well-being.

2. Give and Take

Healthy, supportive relationships require both parties’ involvement. This is why you need to an active role in developing and maintaining your relationships, just as it’s important that your friend or loved one does the same. Otherwise, the relationship can cause resentment and disappointment.

Support your friends and loved ones, but also allow them to support you too.

3. Practice Healthy Communication

When disappointed, communicate your disappointment honestly and in a respectful way.

Avoid unhealthy behaviors such as silent treatment or holding grudges.

4. Listen Actively

Healthy, supportive relationships require that each person feels heard and understood. Take the time to really listen and seek to understand the other person by asking open questions and rephrasing what they said to make sure you got it right.

The best way to build a habit is to start small. Give yourself at least five minutes a day to connect with yourself.

1. Connect with nature

Go outside and enjoy the sunlight and the fresh air. Take a deep breath in through your nostrils. Feel the sensation of your lungs filling with air and exhale through your mouth while noticing the calming effect on your body.

2. Journaling

Write down your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Sometimes all you need is to release your thoughts and feelings and writing can help you with that.

Self-love affirmations

Pick up some self-love affirmations and read them aloud daily. The following are some examples:

  • I am worthy of love.
  • Loving myself is as important as loving others.
  • It is okay to ask for what I need and want.
  • My feelings are valid. There is no right or wrong way to feel.

Juice Plus ist in Deutschland nicht verboten. Allerdings wurde vor einiger Zeit eine Petition ins Leben gerufen , mit welcher ein generelles Verbot von sogenannten „Heilaussagen oder Heilversprechen“ gefordert wird.

Fazit – Kann man mit Juice Plus abnehmen?

Wir stehen der Wirkung von den Juice Plus Produkten äußerst skeptisch gegenüber. Dies insbesondere aufgrund der Warnung von Stiftung Warentest. In dem Testbericht heißt es, dass die Nahrungsergänzungsmittel von starken Rauchern wegen eines erhöhten Lungenkrebsrisikos gemieden werden sollen. Wir können den Kauf der Juice Plus Produkte nicht empfehlen.

I love trying out new dishes – especially if they are quick and easy! You can probably tell how excited I was to try out Love Yourself food delivery – a delicious and healthy meal service, created by a real gourmet Chef and Nutritionist and delivered to your door! Before I share with your the meals I tried out, here is a little bit about Love Yourself and how it works.

What is Love Yourself?

“Love Yourself is intended to take the hassles out of dieting. Combining well-rounded nutrition and diverse flavours, to make eating healthier, delicious and as easy and convenient as possible”

The Love Yourself food delivery service uses fresh fruit and vegetables as well as slow-release carbs, like whole grains and beans which are healthier and keep you fuller for longer.

The quality meat used in the meals is ethically sourced from local English farms, all eggs are free-range and they don’t use processed meats.

There are many plans available to choose from to suit all diets. For example, you can get the low carb diet option, the vegetarian diet, keto diet, gluten-free diet meals, or a balanced diet. These are just a few options. You can check out the fresh meal plans here .

I received the balanced 2000 calorie diet to try. You can choose from a 1200, 1500, 2000, or 2500 calorie diet. Plus you can choose when you want to have it, and the duration of the plan.

I received 2 days worth of the Balanced Diet 2000 calorie plan to try. So it was 5 Meals per day (breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and 2 snacks).

The Balanced diet meal plan is ideal if you want to adopt healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle and trying to lose weight. Perfect if you have a busy life and don’t have the time to cook a healthy meal. And you are not afraid to try new flavours! It’s not suitable if you have a severe allergy to nuts and/or eggs, suffer from IBS or are looking for a high protein diet.

Breakfast – Oat porridge with raspberries and hazelnut

Morning snack – roasted tomato & basil soup, lunch – thai green curry with rice, afternoon snack – banana, date and walnut muffin, dinner – root vegetable stew.

I really enjoyed this porridge, it was tasty and very moreish. I like my overnight porridge cold, but you can heat it up if you prefer. A great way to start the day. Very very happy with my first taste of Love Yourself.

Delicious soup. Very tasty and rich. Ideal for a warm snack on a colder day. I poured it from the pouch into a cup and popped in the microwave for 20 seconds.

Morning Snack - Roasted tomato & basil soup

One of the best Thai green curries I’ve tasted. Packed full of flavour! Yum!

Lunch - Thai green curry with rice

This muffin had a very solid texture. It tasted OK and kept me full for the afternoon.

Afternoon Snack - Banana, date and walnut muffin

This was my least favourite meal of the ones we received. But then I’m not a fan of chickpeas! My daughter enjoyed it though, but this one wasn’t for me.

Dinner - Root vegetable stew

Breakfast – Courgette & ricotta baked eggs

Morning snack – beetroot and chickpea hummus, lunch – beef stew with carrot mash, afternoon snack – strawberries and cream, dinner – greek stuffed peppers.

I wasn’t too keen on the spinach and cherry tomatoes that came with the baked eggs, but the taste of the courgette and baked eggs was delicious. Very flavoursome.

A lovely healthy morning snack if you love hummus. The colours are vibrant!

Mmmm this lunch was amazing! Tender beef, tasty carrot mash. Perfect comforting food! The portion was very generous as you can see it spilled over my plate!

Lunch - Beef Stew with carrot mash

I felt a bit deceived with the description strawberries and cream as it’s more strawberries with greek yogurt that’s mint flavoured. However it was delicious! I love the mint/strawberry combo.

Afternoon Snack - Strawberries and cream

These stuffed peppers, were delightful. Very tasty and perfect for a quick meal for tea.

Dinner - Greek stuffed peppers

Overall I was very happy with the meal quality and the balance of flavours with the Love Yourself food delivery. They are quick to warm through while you are on the go, very tasty and nutritious. My overall favourite has to be the porriage oats with raspberries and hazelnuts. It was divine!

Ohh! I am trying Love Yourself at the moment. I am on the first day of meals and I am enjoying them. It’s good to see what other food is on offer. The curry and the beef stew looks so good.

They were yummy!

Love Journey: 10 Ways to Love Yourself

Love is the “capstone,” sustaining and holding life together.

We are the authentic fabric of love! Loving yourself lays the framework for how we love others and in turn how we let them love us. Quite simply, if you struggle to love and accept yourself as you are right now (this is most of us at one time or another in our lives), how can you receive and give love to others?

Loving yourself directly influences at the core how you live your life with and amongst others.

Cultivating self and other love is a life learning process with many bends in the road as you move with each season.  How do you begin if this seems out of reach or too difficult?

Start by simply pausing with intention. Notice your personal inner dialogue. Take a “real” look within. What do you typically say to yourself when life is good and during those times when you’ve hit a roadblock or have been in a holding pattern?

Noticing and listening to your self-talk will reveal where you are on your love journey.

This process is not selfish or self-centered. What is revealed and gathering will open the door to become. Although complex and unique to each of us, our own sense of “love,” when authentic in our hearts and bodies, will feel right and expressed in self-confidence, comfort, and ease.

Here are 10 Ways to Love Yourself on Your Love Journey:

Learn and practice self-compassion.

This area is crucial for cultivating and deepening how to love yourself. It is a key piece from which love is cultivated and sown.

Dr. Kristin Neff, the pioneering self-compassion researcher, author, teacher, and creator of the Self-Compassion Scales writes this on self-compassion:

Having compassion for yourself gives you the ability to honor and accept your humanity in the moment. Things will not always be the way you want them to be. You will encounter frustrations, losses will occur, you will make mistakes, bump up against your limitations, and fall short of your ideals. As you open your heart to this reality instead of constantly fighting against it, you will be able to feel compassion for yourself and your fellow humans in the experience of life.

Develop empathy

Empathy is defined as being able to put yourself in someone else’s situation in the present moment. By loving yourself, you show respect/love for others by listening with an understanding of their struggles, without feeling pity or sympathy for them.

Cultivate gratitude

Learning how to become grateful for everyday things and people in your life strengthens love by placing emphasis on what is versus what isn’t. Love grows here!

Accept who you are

Embrace and love the things that make you uniquely you. All parts of you -are- who you are.  Both the good and not-so-good! They don’t define you but rather are part of your distinct makeup.

Let go of the past

When you live in the past, you stay in the past. Whether you feel the past was the best of times or painful. Embrace today!  Affirm your life by being where you are today knowing that this place, even if especially trying, is just a season meant to raise your awareness on where you are now, so you have a margin to move forward each day.

Practice “Ahimsa” (Non-harming to self and others)

“Ahimsa” is a Sanskrit word from yoga philosophy found in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali the Hindu mystic. Ahimsa, one of the five Yamas, is practicing love to self and others by seeking to think and act with love and kindness. Ahimas requests the practitioner to cause no “harm” with unkind talk, thoughts, and actions, both to self and others.

Be realistic

Every day is not going to be a great day or a bad day either. Some days will be mundane or ordinary. Allow you to be you on each given day.

Reward yourself

Do something you enjoy because this makes you smile and affirms your life. It could be a yoga class, a hike, a good book, learning something new, hanging with your tribe, or enjoying time spent with someone special to you. Rewarding you with things that you enjoy is love.

Develop a daily self-care routine

Your body, physical and emotional, is yours and it needs you to nurture and take care of it by placing yourself lovingly first within the lineup of all other professional and personal obligations.

Create healthy emotional boundaries

Take time to set up physical and emotional boundaries that protect you and others from being manipulated and used, or from merely overextending your best loving intentions. Setting up boundaries allows you to separate who you are and what you need from the thoughts and feelings of others. This intentional action may seem selfish and “unloving” initially, but over time, setting up healthy boundaries is lovingly empowering for everyone.
