Plus very special guest Olly Murs.
One of the UK’s most successful bands, Take That, have announced their return with a huge stadium and arena live tour for 2024 alongside news of their ninth studio album This Life, set for release 24th November. To celebrate the news further, Take That have also unleashed their brand-new single Windows which is out NOW!
This Life On Tourwill see the trio-Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald –play 29 dates across 15 cities around the UK and Ireland. They will be joined on the tour by very special guest, Olly Murs.
Take That are renowned for their huge productions and incredible live shows, and currently hold the record for the most performances at London’s The O2 with 34 headline shows. 2011’s Progress tour broke box office records by selling over 1 million tickets in less than 24 hours, becoming the biggest tour in the UK and earning them a place on Billboard’s annual ‘Top 25 Tours’ list, placing third worldwide. In 2019, the band celebrated their 30th anniversary with the 38 date sell-out Odyssey tour which saw them play to 29 arenas and 9 stadiums, selling over 650,000 tickets.
Take That’s brand new single, Windows, out today-sees them reunite for their first original composition in over five years. Windows, is a beautiful track which tells the story of emerging from the darkness into the light. As a familiar falsetto rings out across the opening notes of Windows, it signals a new era for one of Britain’s best selling bands, Take That; an era brimming with energy, creativity and a continued desire to challenge and surprise.
The musicality of Windows hints at what listeners can expect from This Life, the band’s ninth studio album and their first since 2017’s Wonderland. Beautiful melodies, soaring choruses, sophisticated harmonies beautifully blending the trio’s voices permeate the new album, due for release on 24th November.

Take That have announced their The Life On Tour. Coming to Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on 3rd, 4th and 5th May 2024.
Following news of their ninth studio album This Life , British pop royalty Take That announce The Life On Tour – a huge stadium and arena tour that sees Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen play 29 dates in 15 cities across the UK. They will be joined by special guest Olly Murs.
Formed as a five-piece in 1989. Take That enjoyed immediate success with their first two albums charting at No.2 and No.1 respectively. Third album Nobody Else confirmed their global domination, selling over six million copies and topping the charts in 11 countries. The departure of band member Robbie Williams prompted a break-up in 1996. Nine years in the wilderness before the remaining four members reunited for 2005’s The Ultimate Tour. This sparked one of the greatest comebacks in British music history with Take That going on to release three Number 1 albums in just four years. Robbie’s return for 2011’s Progress saw them break UK records for the fastest-selling album of the 21st century. As well as the fastest-selling tour of all time. Williams’ second departure, along with that of Jason Orange, left the remaining three members to release III and 2017’s Wonderland . Which were certified platinum and gold respectively.
Take That celebrated their 30th anniversary with the release of Odyssey in 2018, a greatest hits album of beautifully re-imagined versions of some of the biggest tracks from their three-decade-spanning career. The album entered the charts at No.1 and was closely followed by a critically acclaimed UK and European stadium and arena tour in 2019.
In September 2023 Take That released ‘Windows’, their first original single in four years, from upcoming album This Life .

Glasgow OVO Hydro Take That tour teased in cryptic social media post
It looks like Take That could be coming to Glasgow's OVO Hydro as part of their tour as the music venue posted an image of the band's symbol on their Instagram account today.

- Updated 08:56, 22 SEP 2023
Glasgow's OVO Hydro has teased that Take That could be coming to the music venue after a cryptic post uploaded to their social media channels.
Taking to Instagram, the Hydro posted a picture of the venue in the dark with a logo edited on the front with what appears to be two letter Ts lit up in green. And safe to say it matches the logo of legendary band, Take That.
The band is formed of Gary Barlow Mark Owen, Howard Donald and previously Robbie Williams, and Jason Orange. The Rule The World singers have said they plan to tour their forthcoming album in 2024, but no dates have been released as of yet with their single, Windows, out tomorrow (September 22).

Rushing to the comments, fans of the band suspect they are set to perform in Glasgow with one writing: "Take that??" as many others tagged their pals in the hopes of going to see the band together.
Glasgow isn't the only venue teased however with their logo appearing on building across the UK including the Swansea.com Stadium, St Mary's Stadium in Southhampton and more.
In an update on September 22, the band announced their tour dates which will include Glasgow with tickets available here.

Take That tour - setlist, reviews, first pictures and what to expect as boyband return
M anchester manband Take That are back with their new live tour - and thousands of fans in Sheffield were the first to see it at the weekend. Their new This Life on Tour sees the band's Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen perform a host of new tracks as well as a selection of their biggest hits from their three decades in pop.
The show opens as if they are in a retro TV show, with the boys emerging from a a giant TV box on stage to perform newies Keep Your Head Up and Windows. It then takes fans through an epic retrospective of their music career - including classics from their 90s boyband era like Sure, Everything Changes and I Found Heaven.
Unusually for a Take That tour, there is no big dance crew - instead the three singers are allowed to shine across a variety of stages on a split set. But fans can expect plenty of colourful costume changes, as well as rain, fire and plenty of confetti.

Olly Murs is the support act for the tour, and has been winning lots of praise from fans who have seen the show on its first two nights at Sheffield's Utilita Arena. The tour now moves on to Leeds for four nights, before two shows in Dublin, six nights in London and three in Glasgow.
Then, the boys will make their triumphant return to Manchester for the start of an epic run of homecoming shows at the city's new Co-Op Live Arena. They play their for five nights from May 7 through to May 12, before returning again for two more shows on June 11 and 12.
If you're heading along to the tour, here's some more info about the show, including the anticipated timings and the setlist after those first shows.
First reviews
National critics have been among the first to post reviews from the tour - and so far it's been a big thumbs up for the lads.
The Times hailed it a "fabulous and unexpectedly funny first night", while T he Telegraph's Poppie Platt awarded it four stars, saying: "three decades on the boys haven't lost their shine".
Platt wrote: "Inevitably, any Take That show will leave fans wondering what it would be like if Robbie Williams and Jason Orange rejoined the band (their last show as a five-piece was in 2011) – but the current trio’s flawless harmonies and infectious enthusiasm left little room for complaint."
Set timings
Timings for each venue on the tour will be announced in due course, and are always subject to change. But to give fans an idea of what to expect, here are the announced timings for the first two nights of the tour in Sheffield.

The announcement of an upcoming 2024 tour comes as the first since the conceptual pop proggers hit the road in support of 2021’s ‘Bright Magic’ album.
It also comes as the quartet are planning to release new material over the next few months. At time of writing, no further details have been shared on what fans can expect from the upcoming music, although if it does turn out to be a full studio album, it’ll mark the first from the band in three years.
Ahead of the upcoming UK and European trek, Public Service Broadcasting will play a sold-out show at Durham Cathedral as part of Durham BRASS Festival. Taking place on July 5, it’ll see the members perform their 2017 album ‘Every Valley’ in full and accompanied by the 38-piece NASUWT Riverside Brass Band.
