We create outstanding special interest holidays around the world, tailored by our experts. Find out who we are .
A Brief History
The Natural Travel Collection is a small, privately owned travel company established by Chris Breen, founder of Wildlife Worldwide, and Teresa Bennett, founder of Dive Worldwide, and supported by a highly knowledgeable and specialist team.
In 1992, Chris began Wildlife Worldwide , specialising in first class tailor-made wildlife holidays to Africa, Asia, the Americas, Europe and the Polar regions. From its inception, Wildlife Worldwide has placed a special emphasis on sustainable travel – from the environment and the wildlife itself, to the communities that live in close proximity.
In 2000, Teresa began Dive Worldwide , specialising in tailor-made diving holidays to the South Pacific, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
In 2014, we acquired The Travelling Naturalist , providing small group tours for naturalists and led by experienced naturalists. Under our stewardship the brand continues to build on its heritage of more than 25 years and the loyalty of its customers.
In 2016, we acquired Schools Worldwide , a company originally founded in the late 1990s by Chris, and run by Nick Joynes (one of our directors).
Our portfolio now also includes Families Worldwide , which offers upmarket tailor-made and small group holidays for families – and the walking holiday specialist, Walks Worldwide , another brand originally created by Chris (and others) in the late 1990s.
Regaldive is the latest brand to join our expanding collection of travel companies. Organising quality scuba diving holidays since 1988, Regaldive offers liveaboard and resort-based holidays to more than 25 top diving destinations worldwide and specialises in the Red Sea.

Have fish, will travel: creating fishing opportunities statewide.
Have you seen fish-stocking trucks on the road this spring?
If not, chances are you soon will!
Our stocking season is underway, and, this time of year, you’ll find Michigan Department of Natural Resources trucks releasing their prized cargo at hundreds of lakes and streams throughout the state.
Fish stocking is a valuable tool fisheries managers use for different reasons, including:
∫ restoring ecosystem balance.
∫ providing diverse fishing opportunities.
∫ rehabilitating low fish populations.
∫ reintroducing extirpated (locally extinct) species.
The DNR does not stock on top of wild populations when it can be avoided.
Fish production staff members take great pride in the quality of the fish they produce, but, when feasible, prefer to rely on naturally reproducing fish that are adapted to their local ecosystem.
“Sometimes, the combination of angling pressure — sustained fishing — and habitat limitations in some areas will keep wild fish from maintaining the desired population level on their own,” said Aaron Switzer, DNR fish production manager. “In those instances, we’ll stock hatchery fish to supplement natural reproduction.”
The DNR accomplishes that work by rearing fish at its six fish production facilities throughout the state, cooperatively managing up to 29 rearing ponds and six Great Lakes imprinting net pen/pond locations (which help developing fish return to spawning waters when mature) and maintaining a fleet of 17 specialized fish stocking vehicles.
DNR crews stock more than 20 million fish — that’s over 350 tons — every year.
Species include steelhead, lake sturgeon, Atlantic, Chinook and coho salmon, splake (a hybrid between lake trout and brook trout), and brown, brook, lake, and rainbow trout, as well as muskellunge and walleye.
Beginning in mid-March and ending in early June, DNR fish stocking trucks travel well over 100,000 miles to stock more than a thousand locations.
People often wonder where and why fish are stocked in a particular lake or stream — in fact, it’s one of the DNR’s most frequently asked questions.
Some of the determining factors include a body of water’s current habitat, available forage fish, and the concentration of predators and/or competitors.

Archstoyanie Festival (July 26-28)
One of the most remarkable festivals in Russia, Archstoyanie is a land art event which takes place in the Kaluga region, 200 km from Moscow at Nikola Lenivets , which is a beautiful architecture park in the middle of nature.
Archstyoanie spans across several villages, fields and forests of the Ugra national park. There’s a different theme each year, which participating artists and architects must reflect in their objects. They can only use natural materials which are available in that region. After presentation most of the objects become an interactive playground. This year the festival will unite 321 participants and one of the main act will be an installation of the monumental architectural piece “Ugruan” while new sounds of music are being born during the days of the event. Five new operas will be presented in different picturesque locations. Archstyoanie is a unique festival where you can reunite with nature deep in the forest and participate in art process at the same time.
There is also a kid’s version of the festival from June 28th to 30th where families can camp in the woods and fields with their kids while later take various exciting and handy workshops.
Another special feature of the festival is the accomodation: unique houses of abstract forms made out of wood with the glass walls, a fireplace, and sustainable design. One can choose different style of the housing depends on the budget. For low-cost travelers there is a camping site equipped with a field kitchen.
How to get there: There are multiple choices of transportation: train from Kievsky train station to Obninsk and from there take a taxi, bla bla car, a car sharing , or a bus from the stop near subway station Teplii Stan to Kondrovo and then also by taxi. Festival’s website presents detailed information.
When: end of July (26 to 28 July 2019)
Price: 2500 rubles (€30)
