A Great Stadium Tour
We visit the Phoenix area every March for baseball's spring training games and this year we decided to sign-up for the Chase Field stadium tour --- a great decision and made our trip even more memorable. I've been to many stadium tours around the U.S. but this is one of the best. It lasted nearly two hours, we didn't feel rushed and got to see every part of the park that any baseball fan would want (dugout, locker room, batting cages, suites, press box, etc.). Our tour guide was a wealth of information, very patient, and truly loved the game of baseball. We learned that any money collected from the stadium tours (it's very inexpensive) goes to support local charities, a noble cause. In fact, the entire stadium is built and operated for the everyday fan and it's very affordable. While I've never seen a game here, I'm looking forward to that opportunity in the future. One suggestion: if you plan to take the stadium tour during March (spring training), the tours will sell out and we saw people turned away as a result so make your reservations in advance. If you love baseball, you'll love this tour!
It's always a treat for me to catch a MLB game whenever I'm in a city that hosts a team. However, tonite's visit to Chase Field was a mediocre experience at best. Firstly, I've been there before and Chase hosts some interesting architectural marvels - the retractable roof, the indoor swimming pool, the airconditioning and so on. And it's a very pretty stadium and has the D-Backs' world series trophy on display by the main team store. All of that, plus the game was very cool. However, my customer experience was lessened by the exorbantantly priced concessions and the ushers that are obsessed with keeping every fan in their exact ticketed seat regardless of how many rows of empty seats there are in your section. I brought my camera in and there were 3 complete rows of empty seats in the section next to us. To get a good shot of the action at 1st base during the bottom of the 3rd inning, I moved over to those empty rows for a few shots while a runner was on 1st. I had no more sat down and the usherette came bounding down and asked to see my ticket. I showed it to her as I was in the same pay zone of ticket and again these 3 rows had stood empty the entire game thus far. She said I had to return to my seat because any fans with a ticket for the seat I was sitting in would expect it to be open upon their arrival. Like I couldn't or wouldn't move HAD ANYONE SHOWED UP. And I saw this kind of ridiculous obsession with keeping those empty rows empty all thru the game. C'mon, D-Backs! I paid $50 for my ticket. You could treat me a little better and with a little more flexibility than that!
Phoenix on holiday and went to see the D'backs play. Great day out for all the family. the game was great and the stadium is fantastic. easy to find and park would recommend well worth doing. take in Cooperstown(Alice's joint)just down the road a block away
I was skeptical about Chase Field at first, because I knew the roof would be closed. Having visited the Metrodome and Minute Maid Park and being unimpressed with both, I hoped Chase Field wouldn't give me the same feelings. Fortunately, it was great! The park was roomy, clean, and well-maintained. I didn't even mind the roof. The people in my row were very nice. I sat in the club level, where service was a little spotty, but they may have just been really busy. Prices were standard. The location of the field was great - just a few blocks from my hotel. Even though there were tons of Cubs fans, things didn't get too out-of-control... fans were courteous, friendly, and were good sports about their opponents.
We have been to Chase Field three times, and we are so proud to have this baseball field in Arizona. Our two boys ages 7 and 9 were so impressed at the massive size of the stadium! We ate at TGI Fridays ,which overlooks the field from high above, and got to watch Diamondback batting practice before they even let anyone in the stadium. The beer is expensive in the stadium, but since we only go once a year, we suck up the cost. We have done everything from cheap seats to more expensive seats, and they all have their plus sides. There is nothing like watching the roof open and or close. We parked across the street in covered parking for $10. They have a nice team shop, also. I would recommend this venue to anyone who loves baseball!!
Chase Field is OK, especially when the roof is open. But how about those concession pries: $10 beers, $5 hot dogs and $4 bags of peanuts. Fill up before you get to the park -- or bring your own snacks. They may search your bags, but it's still legal. Also, avoid high ticket prices by buying the cheap seats and then seat hop. The stadium is rarely a quarter filled so there are plenty of places to settle in for an inning or two. I love to circle the stadium, seat hopping as I watch the game with a 360-degree perspective.

Clubhouse Box Reviews
"great view", "right behind the on-deck circle".
These seats are in the home plate box, but they are the first row, down a few stairs. It’s weird being that low to the ground, but it’s still a good view. You can heckle the players in the in-deck circle if you want, and you have easy direct access to the bathrooms and restaurant (no free food)....

The Arizona Diamondbacks' lease expires in 2027. What to know about Chase Field's future
The Arizona Diamondbacks’ 30-year lease at Chase Field will expire in 2027, but discussions have already begun about how to keep the team at its downtown Phoenix home.
The team, Maricopa County, and Phoenix all independently agree the team should stay after the lease runs out, but getting to a solution could be difficult.
Who owns Chase Field?
Chase Field is owned by Maricopa County, with a 30-year lease to the Diamondbacks.
Maricopa County Manager Jen Pokorski wrote Phoenix City Manager Jeff Barton in August asking the city to consider pursuing "partnership options" for Chase Field and other county property. The move opens the door to discussions about Phoenix getting involved with or taking over ownership of the stadium, or some kind of joint ownership that could bring about renovations the team has been wanting.
Are the Arizona Diamondbacks leaving Chase Field?
While the team and local government entities have not publicly ruled out any options and negotiations are ongoing, all three agree the team should remain at Chase Field, so it is unlikely the team will leave the ballpark.
How old is Chase Field?
Chase Field, then called Bank One Ballpark, opened in 1998. The 2024 season is the DBacks’ 26 th season at the ballpark. According to the MLB, it’s the 13 th -oldest ballpark still in use.
Who owns the Arizona Diamondbacks?
The Diamondbacks’ principal owner and managing general partner is Ken Kendrick, who has been part of the team’s ownership group since the team was founded. He has been managing general partner since 2004.
Have the Diamondbacks always been in Arizona?
Yes, the team was one of two Major League Baseball teams to begin playing in 1998. The other team that was added that year was the Tampa Bay Rays.
What changes do the Diamondbacks want to Chase Field?
The team has sought upgrades to Chase Field that include added amenities like luxury boxes, additional concession options and a more vibrant district surrounding the stadium.
The ballpark’s retractable roof is no longer safe to open and close with fans inside, but the team’s CEO, Derrick Hall, said in March that the team plans to implement a solution for the roof between the 2024 and 2025 seasons. Hall said the building’s air conditioning system is also on the list of needed upgrades but said a complete HVAC overhaul will not be done until team officials are sure they will be at Chase Field beyond 2027.
