Best museums in London

London’s museums are among the world’s best, with millions of visitors each year to marvel at the incredible history, art and design. What treasures will you find when we take you to these great institutions?

Cottage Pie

It doesn’t get more comforting than a traditional cottage pie, and you’ve got to order this English staple at least once in a classic London pub. It’s been a beloved dish for generations, originating as a clever way to make a hearty meal from leftovers like beef, peas and carrots, topped with creamy mashed potatoes.

Cornish Pasty

Make a beeline for the nearest bakery in London and discover these little pockets of deliciousness. They’re made from shortcrust pastry stuffed with beef, potatoes, swede, onion and egg, then baked until golden, forming a rich gravy inside its own tasty casing. You’re sure to go back for more than just one Cornish pasty!

Named after the prestigious boys’ boarding school of the same name, this simple yet delicious treat is made from a refreshing blend of cream, strawberries and crushed meringue. It’s a classic British dessert and you can even try it at The National Café at the National Gallery, one of the best art museums in London.

Best food in London

Our London tours are big on foodie experiences, and you can go from a traditional English afternoon tea, to a delicious culinary adventure through Chinatown in the West End.

6. Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and Bath Day Trip from London

The long walk at wonder castle is a definite on London tours

Round-trip Transportation from London

Make your day trip to Stonehenge easier by leaving the driving, transportation, and ticketing to a trusted guide. It’s a 2.5-hour drive out to Stonehenge, and if you’re not familiar with driving on the left side of the road, it can make for a stressful experience. Instead, when you book with us, you’ll feel comfortable as you sit back and let your driver do the work.

First, you’ll head over to Stonehenge, which is possibly Britain’s most famous ancient ruins. This 4,000-year-old structure is likely of Druid origin and fascinates visitors who marvel at its construction. You’ll have plenty of time to walk up to these mysterious stones and take pictures. Depending on the time of year, you might even have a chance to purchase some local strawberries to enjoy while you’re here!

Head to Bath, which is another city with deep roots from the Roman Empire. In fact, those Roman baths here are what gave this town its name, despite their original use by the Celts too. You’ll need to arrange your own tickets here, but if you’re not as interested in Roman baths, you might be tempted by the Jane Austen Museum.

Windsor Castle

Your final stop is Windsor Castle, the former Queen’s favorite residence. Located just an hour outside of London, this castle and its grounds are a popular place to visit. If you’re a fan of the royals, it’s easily one of the best London tours to take.

While no guides are allowed inside the castle, you’ll be prepared with a narrative from your driver-guide ahead of time and your skip-the-line tickets. There are 13,000 acres here, and you’ll be free to explore the Grand Apartments, Queen Mary’s Doll House, and more.

  • London’s iconic sites outside of the city
  • Skip-the-line tickets to Windsor Castle
  • Time to explore Stonehenge
  • Lunch in Bath (on your own)
  • Options to visit the Roman Baths or Jane Austen Museum
  • Round-trip transportation from London

Taylor Swift is about to go back on tour: Here's what to expect on the Eras Tour in Paris

tours london

After a two-month break, Taylor Swift is revitalizing her titanic Eras Tour in Paris, and fans believe there are changes coming to the show.

If you are wondering where she's playing, if there will be changes and how to score tickets, here's everything we know.

And if you're new to the Eras Tour party, you can get caught up on the first 83 shows here .

When does the Eras Tour start again?

Swift kicks off the European leg of her tour on Thursday, May 9, in Paris. She will perform Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, as well, in the City of Light.

Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.

What are Taylor Swift's tour dates in Europe?

There are 69 shows left in the Eras Tour: 51 in Europe, nine in America and nine in Canada.

The European leg stretches from May all the way through a five-night stand at Wembley Stadium in London in mid-August.

See a complete list of international dates here .

After she wraps up in Europe, Swift will stop in Miami, New Orleans and Indianapolis before wrapping up in Canada.

See the remaining U.S. dates here .

What is the Eras Tour set list?

The Eras Tour has featured a massive 45-song set list you can check out here . But speculation is swirling it won't look the same when Swift takes the stage in Paris.

Will Taylor Swift add 'The Tortured Poets Department' to her set list?

The tortured poet has been on hiatus keeping her stamina up by releasing a double album of 31 tracks. The 2-hours-and-2-minutes project broke a number of Billboard records as the superstar did zero press to promote it. Fans flocked to stores and streaming services to listen to all the songs from "Fortnight" to "The Manuscript."

Although the singer has not confirmed whether her 11th era album will be added to her Eras Tour set list, she did post a YouTube shorts video with two scenes that sent Easter egg decoders into a frenzy. In one of the shots, the singer is next to a railing where a "TTPD" logo appears to be (at 0:11). In the succeeding shot, her back-up dancers perform holding canes and wearing top hats, something they have not worn previously.

Swift's dancers and bandmates posted to their Instagram stories as they left for France last week. The singer did not appear at two media events with her boyfriend Travis Kelce: the Kentucky Derby and a Formula 1 race in Miami , Florida. Patrick Mahomes, Kelce's friend and Kansas City's quarterback, attended the car racing spectacular with his wife, Brittany.

Can I still get Eras Tour tickets?

Swift's show is completely sold out in Europe and North America. There are resale sites with tickets, but be wary of scams. The best way to avoid getting swindled is continuously checking links on Swift's website . There are some for resale on the sites verified by her camp.

Singapore was a hotbed for fans who traveled thousands of miles only to get turned away at the venue. In Tokyo and Australia, last-minute ticket drops happened a few days — without announcement — ahead of the shows.

Miami, New Orleans and Indianapolis — the three U.S. cities Swift is visiting in the fall — have some of the heftiest price tags with Canada closely behind. In may be cheaper to travel to Warsaw, Poland, or Gelsenkirchen, Germany. Here's a list of cities with the cheapest resale tickets, according to travel website  Islands.com .

10. Vienna, Austria — total average cost: $1,089, safety score: 69.72

9. Cardiff, U.K. — total average cost: $1,061, safety score: 61.83

8. Lyon, France — total average cost: $1,047, safety score: 44.3

7. Lisbon, Portugal — total average cost: $1,028, safety score: 70.15

6. Munich, Germany — total average cost: $1,000, safety score: 78.88

5. Paris, France — total average cost: $971, safety score: 41.83

Who are the opening acts?

Paramore launched the Eras Tour in Glendale, Arizona, in March 2023, so it's fitting the American rock band is opening the tour's second year. The act will open for Swift for 51 shows across Europe . The band was dubbed the 2024 Record Store Day global ambassador and surprised fans in Nashville the weekend following the release of "The Tortured Poets Department."

When the tour comes back to North America in October , Swift's opening act will be Gracie Abrams.

Where can I watch if I don't have tickets?

The Eras Tour is one of the first tours that has been followed, globally, by thousands of fans on digital platforms. Fans dedicate part of their concert experience to livestreaming as Swift performs. A few Swifties have learned how to host their own shows over social media including Tess Bohne , known as the livestream queen. Bohne goes live for (almost) every show pulling streams from Instagram and TikTok. When a livestream goes down, she fills the time with banter.

On YouTube, user @TaylorSwiftHockeyBro also livestreams the three-hour show, and on Twitch, @folkleric , is a host fans follow.

There is also an app, Swift Alert , that notifies fans who only want to watch certain eras like the acoustic, surprise set. The app sends out push alerts if there are any major announcements.

What secret songs are left?

For the past 83 shows, Swift has played an acoustic set she customizes at each stop with a guitar and piano performance. In 2024, the Eras Tour star added mashups of her songs for each stop. Here are the songs she has yet to perform:

  • "Taylor Swift" (debut album): "Mary's Song" and "A Perfectly Good Heart"
  • "Fearless": "The Way I Loved You," "Change," "Superstar," "We Were Happy," "That's When," "Don't You" and "Bye Bye Baby"
  • "Red": "Girl At Home," "Ronan," "Forever Winter" and "Run"
  • "1989": "Sweeter Than Fiction"
  • "Reputation": "I Did Something Bad"
  • "Lover": "London Boy," "Soon You'll Get Better" and "It's Nice to Have a Friend"
  • "Folklore": "Hoax"
  • "Evermore": "Happiness" and "Closure"
  • "Midnights": "Paris" and "Glitch"
  • "The Tortured Poets Department": all 31 tracks

Will Taylor Swift perform in 2025?

There have been many rumors that Swift will continue her show in 2025, but they are only rumors. Nothing has been announced for next year, and as of now, the tour will end in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Dec. 8.

US singer and songwriter Taylor Alison Swift, also known as Taylor Swift performs on stage at the ... [+] Paris La Defense Arena as part of her The Eras Tour, in Nanterre, north-western France, on May 9, 2024.

Taylor Swift thrilled fans with the addition of performances from her latest album The Tortured Poets Department when she kicked off the European leg of The Eras Tour in Paris on Thursday, May 9, 2024. She jokingly called that section of the show Female Rage: The Musical . Most concertgoers already knew and sang along to every word of all the songs she sang from the album even though it was released just a few weeks earlier on April 19. Such is the power of Swift.

In her long career of riveting live shows, her stunning performance of “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” may very well be her masterpiece so far. Swift is enjoying unprecedented success with her latest albums and tour, which showcase how she can tell a story like no other artist. Both her singing voice and her literary voice are stronger than ever, and it’s joyful to watch Swift embody and embrace her mightiness as a performer.

It's no wonder many fans are willing to travel hundreds or even thousands of miles for the chance to see Taylor Swift perform live. Since tickets sold out so quickly for the few remaining U.S. tour dates and resellers are aware of the intense demand, some fans discovered it was more doable to attend one of her international shows.

So, many fans in the U.S. and other countries have decided to make a vacation out of going to The Eras Tour in Europe this summer. If you are among them, here’s some advice on how to make the most of your international adventure.

Consider Your Lodging and Transportation Choices First

Before buying a ticket, be sure that you will have accommodations available. If you can book a hotel that’s within walking distance of a stadium and know the area is safe, that is ideal. Otherwise, check bus and train schedules for the night of your venue, then look at hotels that might be close to bus or train stops.

With tens of thousands of fellow concertgoers leaving at the same time, transportation can get tricky. If you book a room that’s farther from the venue, try to get a rental car instead of vying for a taxi or rideshare after the show. If you do that, just be sure parking will be available. You may need to buy a parking pass from the venue.

Also be aware that hotel room prices skyrocket when Swift is in town because there is such a high demand. If you are renting a car and don’t mind a longer drive, you can save a lot of money by booking a hotel room that’s a longer drive from the venue.

Enjoy The Moment

Amy Wilkinson, a 49-year-old Swiftie from Tucson, AZ, went viral in December 2023 for her reenactments of The Eras Tour performances using Elf on the Shelf dolls. She posted them to her Instagram, @Tswizzle_Momma , and found thousands of people watching each time she posted her videos. Like many other Swifties in the US, she is flying to Europe for The Eras Tour.

Wilkinson told me she had this advice for fellow fans going to the show abroad, “Enjoy the entire experience, from the moment you get on the plane until the morning after. You may be going for the concert, but the memories are made in the details. See the sights. Enjoy the food. Meet other Swifties. This is at the heart of what international travel is about.”

Make The Friendship Bracelets

Rebecca Bartley, a Swiftie from Nova Scotia, Canada, is going to Sweden to see The Eras Tour. She advises bringing friendship bracelets to share with fellow concertgoers on the night of your show. Wilkinson suggested making friendship bracelets in the language of the country where you’ll be seeing the show.

MARINA DEL REY, CALIFORNIA - OCTOBER 13: A Taylor Swift fan, friendship bracelet detail, attends the ... [+] opening night theatrical release of "Taylor Swift : The Eras Tour" at AMC Marina Marketplace 6 on October 13, 2023 in Marina del Rey, California. (Photo by Amanda Edwards/Getty Images)

It’s easy to learn how to make friendship bracelets. I had never dabbled in making jewelry before, but now I find great joy in creating friendship bracelets. I created dozens and handed them to fans at The Eras Tour movie.

To make friendship bracelets, I start by choosing the colors I want and which word or phrase I want the bracelet to express. Then I choose colorful beads and pick out all the necessary letter beads.

Next, I cut off elastic string. I find it’s best to use Stretch Magic elastic string because of its strength and durability. To make the bracelets, I cut off a piece of string that’s twice as long as I need so that there is ample room for cutting and tying multiple knots.

Then I tape one end of the string to my workspace, string the beads I have set aside until I feel like the bracelet is complete. Being careful to not let any of the beads slide off the string, I then wrap it around my wrist to see how it fits and then consider whether I am making the bracelet for a wrist that’s likely larger or smaller than mine. (Also, with elastic string, there’s room for a flexible fit.) I adjust accordingly.

As a last step, I make four to five knots in the string to tie off the bracelet. Many fans choose to add a dab of fabric glue to the end of the knot, but I found that got really messy and wasn’t necessary if you make multiple knots. Then I tuck the knots into one of the beads so that it doesn’t show on the bracelet. Then the bracelet is concert-ready!

Keep in mind that there are a lot of other ways to make friendship bracelets that are for more involved and creative that mine. And, if the idea of making friendship bracelets doesn’t sound fun to you, don’t worry. You can buy premade friendship bracelets on Etsy. Some Etsy shops like RainFoxx13 and BonniesBracelet have elaborate, beautiful friendship bracelets that you may want to keep for yourself. Others sell packs of friendship bracelets in bulk.

If you don’t want to trade friendship bracelets, that’s okay, too. The Swiftie community is accepting and supportive, and you still may get several bracelets as gifts.

What To Wear To The Eras Tour

There are no rules for what you should wear to Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour beyond the guidelines from the venue. Some fans go casual, and others choose to dress to the nines for the show. Some fans choose to wear merch from Taylor Swift’s official store . Many fans choose to dress up in costumes inspired by Swift’s songs and lyrics.

With the release of The Tortured Poets Department and its video “Fortnight,” some fans are choosing to imitate some of her looks from the video. Others are wearing their interpretation of the incredible costumes she wears during The Eras Tour concert. Others look at past eras for inspiration. You are likely to see every era represented in fan costumes at a show.

What You Should Bring To The Eras Tour In Europe

Wilkinson advised me that the number one thing to bring is a portable phone charger. If you plan on recording video and taking photos, your phone’s battery may die down quickly, and a phone charger can ensure you can keep capturing the memories all night.

Earplugs are a good idea if you’re sensitive to loud noise. If you’re bringing kids along, they are a must. They ensure you can enjoy the music while protecting your ears.

Bring along a cardigan or jacket. Layering is a good idea for a concert during the summer. Although it may be hot in the stadium, you might be chilly on the way home from the show.

You can’t go wrong bringing along hand sanitizer and a travel pack of tissues. Even if you can get through “All Too Well” without tearing up, you may cry at the sheer excitement of the experience. It can be intense in the best way.

If you have tickets that are far back, bring along binoculars to see close-up details.

What To Avoid At The Eras Tour

Don’t come to the stadium with a big bag. If you haven’t attended stadium concerts before, you may not know that you need to carry a clear bag if you want to bring a purse. It also has to fit within the measurements allowed in the stadium, so you can’t just buy a clear backpack and expect to get in the show. Check with your show’s venue to make sure you follow their rules for what you can bring.

How To Get Taylor Swift Tickets In 2024

Tickets have already gone on sale for the rest of the currently confirmed dates of The Eras Tour for 2024. However, you can get secondhand tickets from resellers. It’s usually not a good idea to buy from individuals in Facebook groups offering to sell tickets. That’s hard to verify, and many are scammed that way. Instead, check with the individual venue to see how their resell process works. It varies throughout Europe depending on the country and the individual stadium.

Tennis leaders’ crucial London meeting as they search for peace and money

MONTE-CARLO, MONACO - APRIL 12: Alex De Minaur of Australia in action against Novak Djokovic of Serbia during the quarter-final match on day six of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters at Monte-Carlo Country Club on April 12, 2024 in Monte-Carlo, Monaco. (Photo by Julian Finney/Getty Images)

A little more than a month ago, a series of meetings of the top leaders of tennis ended in acrimony . The heads of the Grand Slams accused the leaders of the tour of undercutting their efforts to reshape the sport by plotting a series of backchannel deals with Saudi Arabia.

Now, another summit is about to get underway.

After weeks of virtual discussions, the leaders of the Grand Slams and the men’s and women’s tennis tours will convene in London this week to try to forge some sort of compromise that will solve a series of challenges facing the game.

Those problems essentially boil down to this:

How can they bring more money into tennis and grow interest amid increasing competition, without overtaxing players who are demanding a streamlined schedule and compensation comparable to their far wealthier counterparts in other sports?

The ultimate solution, people connected to the discussions say, could even spell significant changes or perhaps even the end of the Paris Masters — a top indoor men’s tournament known as ‘Bercy’ — in favor of a new event in Saudi Arabia.

At the most recent summit with the sport’s top leaders, Gilles Moretton, the president of France’s Tennis Federation, the FFT, which owns the French Open and the Bercy tournament, said he would not let Bercy be the obstacle to peace in the sport, opening the door to a potential compromise.

On Monday, the French federation said that while the organization “maintains ongoing discussions with all its partners on the organization of world tennis and its potential future developments,” it is not pursuing changes to the Paris Masters.

“These discussions are constructive and necessary. In this context, no mention has been made of any changes to the Rolex Paris Masters. The FFT remains particularly attached to the Rolex Paris Masters, whose success every year demonstrates the attachment of players and the public alike.”

The reporting in this story is based on interviews with several people involved with and with knowledge of the ongoing discussions. They requested anonymity to avoid jeopardizing their professional relationships. All described the situation as fluid with the ultimate solution, if one can be found, still a long way off even with Moretton’s offer of the Bercy olive branch.

How to fix tennis

Tennis, which is run by at least seven separate organizations, has long been rife with conflicts between rival groups looking to protect their specific interests.

This latest civil war has ostensibly pitted the Grand Slams against the men’s and women’s tours, but mainly Andrea Gaudenzi, the chairman of the ATP Tour.

The Grand Slams — Wimbledon, and the French, U.S. and Australian Opens — want to create a premium tour that would resemble Formula 1 racing. It would include their competitions, 10 top-level mixed, outdoor events, and a season-ending tour finals for the top men and women. It would start in January and end by early November.

Only roughly the top 100 players would qualify for the premium tour. Another series of lower-level tournaments would exist largely as a qualifying competition for the premium tour, though players from the premium tour may be able to participate in those events to receive appearance fees and match practice — and to make them more appealing to fans.

The plan has existed largely as a calendar and a series of reports from consultants projecting a boost in money from sponsorships and increased payments for television and streaming rights. What it does not yet have is any concrete financial backing, a major sticking point for the owners of the top-level tournaments the Grand Slams want to include in their premium tour. What it does have is appeal to both players and fans, as a respite to a schedule that is tough to follow on-court and on-screen because of its, at times, illogical jumps around the globe and relentless run of matches.

The venture would be a big lift for the Grand Slams, especially now, as they try to forge ahead on other projects. The USTA, which owns the U.S. Open, has begun to seek approval for another major renovation of the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, which would include construction of a new player performance center, a hospitality hub and, eventually, renovations to Arthur Ashe Stadium. Wimbledon is pursuing a massive expansion onto a neighboring golf course.

Saudi Arabia's new $1billion proposal and the battle to control tennis

On the other side, Gaudenzi, the chairman of the ATP Tour, largely favors a status quo that many players say is unacceptable — before his plan to add yet another top-level tournament to the schedule, likely in Saudi Arabia. His counter to the premium plan would be its limitations on showcasing tennis as a remarkable, 24/7/365 sport, one of few truly global spectacles.

tours london

That tournament is at the center of Gaudenzi’s promise of roughly $1billion in investments in tennis from Saudi Arabia, a country with an ugly record of human rights abuses, laws that oppress women, and where homosexuality can result in a death sentence. The kingdom’s sovereign wealth fund, the Public Investment Fund, is a leading bidder for that event, and the women’s tour is likely to join if Saudis win the auction , which people involved say should conclude sometime this spring.

Inside Saudi Arabia’s growing influence in sport

  • Why the country bought into Premier League soccer
  • Mohamed Salah, Saudis and the politics behind deal
  • Golf, F1 and cycling… why they are buying sport
  • The 2034 World Cup and what it means

This month, the women’s tour announced a lucrative but controversial three-year deal with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Sport to hold its season-ending WTA Finals in Riyadh .

While Gaudenzi’s plan comes with an infusion of cash, mostly from the sale of the license for the new tournament, critics say it lacks any real plan for sustained future growth. Nothing would change about the sport’s fractured business, in which tournaments compete against one another for sponsorships and television deals.

His move is akin to a sports league selling an expansion franchise to a new city. Only, in this case, Gaudenzi is essentially selling a slot in the calendar without the ability to create more weeks of the year.

That problem sparked this latest war between the Grand Slams and Gaudenzi, who last summer tried to cut a deal to hold a tournament in Saudi Arabia at the start of the season. Early January is the only month of the professional tennis season when there is no Grand Slam or top-level event for either tour and the Saudi climate would allow such an event to take place.

A top-level January tournament in Saudi Arabia for men and women would likely kill the tuneup events for the Australian Open in Australia and New Zealand that Tennis Australia, the owner and organizer of the Australian Open, largely controls. In response, Craig Tiley, the chief executive of Tennis Australia, pushed to create the premium tour, which could be a major blow to Gaudenzi’s ATP Tour, and the scores of lower-level tournaments that don’t make the premium tour.

tours london

An obvious compromise, people involved with the talks say, is to find a way to hold a tournament in Saudi Arabia, collect the roughly $1billion and make it part of a premium tour, with money from that circuit providing support to the smaller tournaments.

But if a Saudi tournament did not take place in January, there are only two other months when the Saudi climate would even allow it — immediately following the Australian Open in February, when both tours play events in Dubai and the women play a tournament in Doha, or in October, in place of Bercy.

Chaos Is Coming for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour European Summer

We’re in year two of headline-dominating Eras Tour coverage. Unfortunately, those headlines haven’t always been so nice.

After a months-long break from the stage—during which she took every opportunity to cheer on her Super Bowl -winning boyfriend from the stands— Taylor Swift is back on the road. The pop star’s Eras Tour swept the Americas last year, and now it’s Europe’s turn. Swift will spend the next four months hitting major hubs like London and Stockholm before returning stateside for one more North American leg this fall.

So, yes, we’re now heading into year two of headline-dominating Eras Tour discourse . Since debuting the three-hour victory lap of her greatest hits last March in Arizona, Swift’s show has already managed to gross over $1 billion, making the Eras Tour the first tour in history to cross that milestone . It’s projected that by the time the tour concludes, a $2 billion gross could be within Swift’s reach.

Thus far, fan reviews of their experiences at the Eras Tour have been overwhelmingly positive. But the sheer size of the stadiums Swift is packing have necessitated infrastructural sophistication from its organizers on a level that’s rarely, if ever, been seen in pop music. As such, there have been a few hiccups.

This past weekend, for example, Swift kicked off the European leg of her tour with four performances in Paris, during which she debuted the new section of the show devoted to her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department . One of the biggest stories to come out of the Paris concerts, though, were the viral images posted by one attendee of what appears to be an infant lying on the floor during a show, with adults hovering nearby.

After concertgoers and commentators reacted with shock online, La Défense Arena, the venue that hosted the Paris shows, told Page Six in a statement that the “general terms and conditions of sale stipulate that all minors (without any age limit) holding a ticket for a concert at Paris La Défense arena must be accompanied by an adult.”

“Under 18 children remain under their legal guardian responsibility, it’s venue policy,” the statement continues . “For spectators with a young child in the floor, an alternative seating arrangement has been proposed but refused by ticket holders.” In other words, the venue appears to be saying, it can only do so much to temper the unpredictability of human behavior.

It wasn’t the first time the Eras Tour generated negative headlines. Last November, Nilton Santos Stadium in Rio de Janeiro became the site of an Eras Tour tragedy when a young fan, 23-year-old Ana Clara Benevides , died at a nearby hospital after feeling unwell at the concert. A forensics report obtained by the Associated Press later found that Benevides passed away from heat exposure that led to cardio-respiratory arrest.

Ricardo Moraes/Reuters

According to The Sun, Nilos Santos had banned fans from bringing their own water bottles into the stadium. That weekend , the heat index in Rio reached 139 degrees Fahrenheit, a record for the city. Footage from the Eras shows captured Swift tossing water bottles into the crowd and pausing her songs to ask for help from venue staffers. “There’s people who need water right here,” Swift said into her mic at one point during the Friday show in Rio . “They’re holding up phones that say we need water, so whoever is in charge of giving them that, can we make sure that that happens? Can I get a signal that you know where they are?”

Swift’s camp surely came away from the tragic weekend in Rio determined to never let such acute fan distress take place at an Eras night ever again. But with upcoming shows this month in Stockholm, Lisbon, and Madrid, her team will have to prepare for the uncertainty that comes with putting on a show in international venues, which come with their own unique protocols, safety standards, cultural quirks, and weather-related curveballs.

Swift herself, too, will likely be on the lookout for more aggressive behavior from security guards. Last year, in Philadelphia, she paused the song “Bad Blood” to shout “She wasn’t doing anything!” at a particularly overzealous security guard who was seen pushing fans in the audience .

But it may not all be doom and gloom; there’s also a high likelihood that chaos of the cute kind will unfold at Eras Tour this summer. Travis Kelce already got caught filming his girlfriend’s semi-racy costume change with his phone flashlight on this past weekend while attending her show in Paris. Here’s hoping the couple give us more dramatic displays of public affection—like the one from last November in Argentina that sent fans into a tizzy—to make this summer one that Swifties will remember for all the right reasons.

Want to see Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ without breaking the bank? Try Europe

P lanning a summer vacation in Europe usually requires an exorbitant amount of cash, but when Taylor Swift is involved, it actually might be a deal.

Fans looking to snag tickets to the European leg of her popular “Eras Tour” are finding it substantially cheaper to see Swift overseas — even with flights and hotels factored in — thanks in part to a historically strong dollar and strict European Union regulations placed on ticket resellers that make, in the words of Swift herself, anything but a cruel summer.

Jacking up prices on the European secondary market is “considered a predatory activity that reduces consumer choice and exploits consumers by charging them way higher prices than the event organizers actually intended,” Sam Shemtob, managing director for ticket resale advocacy group Face-value European Alliance for Ticketing (FEAT), told CNN.

For example, secondary market ticket prices for Swift’s show in Stockholm, Sweden, this Saturday are as cheap as $300 for standing room-only and seats in the nosebleed sections. Prices are just a few hundred more in prime seating locations at Friends Arena, home of the Swedish men’s national football team.

Planning a last-minute trip is more expensive compared to planning months ahead, but there are some affordable ways to get to Sweden: A roundtrip flight from New York (with a connection) are running about $700 and rates at 4-star hotel about $300, according to Kayak. Altogether, that’s about $1,300 before food and beverage is factored in.

Compare that to Swift’s show in Miami in October where seats are selling for about $2,000 to as much as $8,500 on StubHub . Prices for her other two US shows in New Orleans and Indianapolis are roughly the same.

Sweden isn’t the only budget-friendly city: Prices for Swift’s stops in Portugal, Spain and Germany in the coming months can be purchased as cheap as $300 to $400 a ticket — substantially cheaper the average resale price of $1,600 during her US dates last year.

Although Europe’s laws on ticket resale vary country by country, a number of them, including Ireland and Portugal, ban ticket sellers from making a profit on the secondary market. In France, reselling is banned unless authorized by the promoter, Shemtob said.

The EU also recently implemented the Digital Services Act for ticket resale marketplaces that “ensure professional sellers are identifiable, prevent certain manipulative sales tactics, and require regular reporting to improve transparency for consumers,” according to FEAT, which lobbied for the law.

Shemtob said the difference in pricing between the US and EU is because the former treats “event tickets like commodities that can be bought or sold according to market prices, but the European Court of Justice has ruled that a ‘dated event ticket’ is a contract between the organizer and the consumer enabling entry under specific terms and conditions — not a commodity that can just be bought and sold.”

Plus, American tourists are finding their money going further: The US dollar index, which measures the currency’s strength against six of its peers, closed last month at its highest level since last November. Although it has faded since April, it’s still strong.

For Swifties looking to jump over the pond for their London Boy , Shemtob recommends using ticket sellers such as Ticketmaster, AEG, Eventim or Twickets.

He added also be “extremely wary of using internet search, because the predatory resale platforms all pay top dollar to have their listings appear at the top of search results.”

A dancer on Taylor Swift ’s Eras Tour is putting his own spin on one of her newest songs.

Jan Ravnik, who performs with Swift on her record-breaking tour, choreographed an emotional dance to her song “So Long, London,” which he performed alongside So You Think You Can Dance alum Audrey Case Shell and shared to Instagram on Sunday, May 5.

In the video, Ravnik and Shell perform in a studio against a white backdrop as the song, off Swift’s latest album The Tortured Poets Department , plays.

“This is STUNNING,” former Dancing with the Stars pro Witney Carson commented.

The new video comes after Ravnik also choreographed and performed a dance to Swift’s song “Fortnight” with Karen S. Chuang, who is also a dancer on the Eras Tour.

Ravnik announced his participation in Swift’s tour in March 2023, sharing his gratitude at being along for the ride.

“I’m beyond grateful to be part of @taylorswift Eras Tour 🙏🏼❤️ Still can’t put into words how I feel after yesterdays opening night!” he captioned a post on Instagram . “I never thought that small town boy from Slovenia could come so far, but here we are 🙋🏻‍♂️🥹#erastour”

Swift will kick off the European leg of her tour in France on May 9.

The Grammy winner, 34, is currently riding high on the success of The Tortured Poets Department , which became the first album to reach 1 billion streams in a single week on Spotify.

"My mind is blown. I’m completely floored by the love you’ve shown this album," she wrote on Instagram alongside a behind-the-scenes carousel of images from the recording studio. "2.6 million ARE YOU ACTUALLY SERIOUS?? Thank you for listening, streaming and welcoming Tortured Poets into your life. Feeling completely overwhelmed," she continued, referring to the reported sales figures of her most recent album.

The album is currently the biggest of her career and the biggest album of the decade so far, with 2.61 million consumption units, per reports. It marks her biggest debut week since the release of 1989 (Taylor's Version) in 2023.
