Do you help navigate the new Covid-19 regulations and restrictions in different countries?

Yes. We stay on top of the ever-changing regulations, restrictions and legal requirements for each country, along with health and hospital information, so both you and we are fully prepared. We know that health and safety is top priority during these times, so we double check all Covid-19 requirements for each destination and supplier, and we also ensure BioSafety Certification from our suppliers.

What is the difference between your plans?

If an emergency happens, what will be covered?

Each situation is unique when it comes to an emergency, and much will depend on your insurance coverage. The Travelogist will guide you through the situation and go over your insurance details needed prior to your trip, so you feel secure and at ease. We also provide Disruption Response service, should changes happen during your trip.

Do you book more than just flights and hotels?

Your travel experience is so much more than just flights and hotels! You can see a full list of our benefits here , but we help you arrange excursions, make reservations, and provide itineraries so you can just immerse yourself and enjoy your destination.

What happens if part of my trip gets cancelled?

We work with the suppliers to find an acceptable solution.

8 Zelenograd, the Soviet Silicon Valley, 1962–1965

This chapter focuses on the construction of Zelenograd, the Soviet Silicon Valley, during the period from 1962–1965. The chapter reveals that Khrushchev signed the postanovlenie, or official decree, on August 8, 1962, authorizing the establishment of a center of microelectronics, to be called the “Scientific Center,” near Kryukovo railroad station. The satellite city was officially named Zelenograd (Green City) on January 15, 1963, by a decree of the Moscow Executive Committee. The first planned city in the Soviet Union, it was designed to accommodate approximately 65,000 people. Its designers had been influenced by the British New Town movement. Unlike in other Soviet industrial centers, where apartment buildings were often built adjacent to belching industrial smokestacks, living areas and factories were located in separate areas. Located 25 miles north of the Kremlin, Zelenograd was declared a part of Moscow.
