The 2023 Hitters UDC (Upper Deck) 10u Baseball Club is gearing up for another exciting and highly competitive year of Major level youth travel baseball! Originating from Frankfort, IL (30 miles southwest of Chicago), this team is compromised with some of the best 10u talent in the Chicagoland near south and southwest suburbs.

The 10u Upper Deck squad originated in 2021 at the 8u level and over the past 2 seasons (8u & 9u), has compiled a 79-11 record competing in the highest level AAA/Major level tournaments in the Chicagoland area and Midwest. In 13 tournaments, UDC has taken home 8 titles and 3 runner up finishes over the first 2 seasons together as a team.

Coming off its second consecutive USSSA Major Illinois State Championship (8u & 9u), and #1 ranking in the state of Illinois entering 10u, this team is a force to be reckoned with in the Midwest. A full 8 tournament schedule is on the docket this upcoming 2023 season for the Hitters, highlighted by national level tournaments such as the TBS 10u National Championships in Myrtle Beach, SC mid season and the Prep Baseball Report (PBR) 10u World Series in Indianapolis, IN to close out the season in July.

Lead by Bradley Sevedge and it’s all star pitching rotation, runs are hard to come by with this pitching staff. Lukas Chmura and Kenny Ritter are middle of the rotation staples and having Nate Berlin in the closer role usually results in close out wins for the Hitters.

Defensively, outfielder Zack Milosovic’s speed and tenacity roaming the outfield make it hard for any ball hit his way to drop and Weston Weiss’ defensive prowess in the infield is electric. Catcher Nate Bonnett is a vacuum behind the dish and newcomer Andrew Sommer is poised to become a defensive backstop, leading the pitching staff to new heights.

When it comes to offense, UDC is second to none when it comes to putting runs on the board! Tristan Egglesfield is the engine that gets this lineup rolling, with the likes of Henry Yellon, Griff Cunningham, and Charlie Wasik-Stephensen cleaning up things and making sure runs cross the plate.

Hitters UDC focuses on elite development of each young athlete and consistent fun being had in this great game of baseball. In return, success on the field follows.

Team Practices

Team practices will be both indoor and outdoor. Each team will have a designated time and day each week that they will practice indoors at The Upper Deck Facility. The primary focus will be on batting/hitting, with the option of throwing bullpens. Teams will also have a designated time on Sundays to practice defensive skills on the baseball field.
