You have to register yourself at Katra before proceeding for Yatra. After Registration you will get Yatra slip or yatra parchi which you have to carry along with you for your Yatra. Registration counter is at Bus stand Katra. Registration facility is also available online at Mata vaishnodevi shrine board website and one can book 30 days in advance.

April to June are the best time to visit Kedarnath temple and  Badrinath temple.  It is not advisable to visit these temples during monsoon season months July and August. Whereas you can visi September to mid November. After that temples usually closed in winter months. 

Although J&K Can be visit anytime of the year. In Summers, climate is pleasant and one can escape the scorching heats of plains  by visiting Kashmir valley. In winters you can enjoy the snow fall at the hills. Usally tourist inflow is high for  Vaishnodevi and Kashmir during April to September of the year.

Usually it is hot in summers and Cold in winters. Temperaure and weather at the Katra town and Bhawan may differ. So dont mislead by temperatures of Katra town with that of Bhawan. There is a difference of 5 to 10 °C of temperature beween Katra town and Maa Vaishno devi Bhawan.

Even 2 Nights 3 Days short trip can cover major destinations like Jaipur or Udaipur, but its recommended that atleast a 7 days tour can be planned to feel the essence of Rajasthan.

You can visit VaishnoDevi any time in a year. Mostly people visit the Vaishnodevi from April to August

Nearest airport for visiting Himachal Pradesh  is Chandigarh. Although smaller airports at Gaggal (near Kangra), Bhuntar (near Kullu), Jubbarhati(near Shimla) exist   but frequency of flights is very less. Nearest Major Railway station is Pathankot and Kalka(near Chandigarh)

Srinagar: Its summer capital of J&K UT. It is one of the most beautiful places. Srinagar is famous for its Mughal gardens and Dal Lake. Have Shikara ride in Dal Lake. My trip, Heavenly Kashmir Tour, was made perfect, largely because of our wonderful guide, Ishfaq Ahmad Shalla. We had a problem with every room we were given. We had booked a room with two beds and were continuously only given one. He worked his expert magic each day, going above and beyond his duties to make it happen for us which was not an easy task. Iahfaq speaks English very well and along with his knowledge and love for Kashmir it was magical. He made us feel comfortable and very well taken care of. Our driver Ayub was very nice, but he was on the phone all the time (even on video chat while driving in that crazy traffic). Several times he wondered away and we had to wait until he reappeared not knowing where he was. Kashmir was somewhere I’d wanted to go to for many years and with the best guide, Ishfaq Ahmad Shalla’s help it was amazing!

Our tour of Kashmir was amazing, beautiful and fabulous. The guide Ishfaq and the driver Zahid Ahmad Wani made our tour. They made sure we were comfortable , secure, and happy at all times and the information about what we were seeing and doing and general information the country was fantastic. We learned about Kashmir history as well as current affairs. This trip was a search into family past history and it totally delivered.

Thanking you for overall fair experience. My observations are as follows 1. I understand your day to day program. But changes are made at onset without any explanation??? 2. When we have paid for the certain activity , for example cable car ride I should be told well in advance of its unavailability. Not on the day of the ride . 3. As a first time visitor to Srinagar, I am at the total mercy of the tour guide( and he knows this 4. The tour guide must not take advantage of tourists who lack full knowledge. They tend to ask the question’ do you want to do that activity? ‘ or do you really want to see that spot whence you can enjoy the view from this high point ? In effect they are hoping for a favorable response so that that particular activity is overlooked and time saved on his side . 5. When a certain activity is in the program , for example a trip to Saffron Fields you do not circumvent this tour by making a short cut . That is take a look at the field WHILE the car is in motion. It should not be the tourist to demand a hold at the field and walk at one of the fields as per the program. After all we have come for the experience!!! 6. When a certain activity is included in the package I should not be asked to part with money for that activity, it defeats the word ‘package’

Amazing tour! We are family of four, with 2 daughters (8 and 5 years old), who dared to go to Leh in December. We had a great time and learned a lot from our guide Lotus. I really enjoyed my tour. This is a very remote area with unique culture and nature. I 've been there at the beginning of April before the tourist season starts, so I enjoyed the absence of crowds. However, nights were very cold, some hotels did not have heating, so hot bottles were my best friends. During the day the weather were beautiful, sunny. I enjoyed snow on the passes we crossed. My guide and driver were excellent. People we met at the hotels demonstrated wonderful hospitality. The tour was planned with Rizz tour and travels for 5d/6n. Ms. Farah coordinated the tour very well. All the hotels booked were clean and good standard. I was travelling alone with my 6yr old son and felt really safe and secured because Ms Farah was always in touch. Our tour guide and driver Mr. Tousif is gem of a person, he gave us good advice and made sure we enjoyed and travelled at peace. He helped us to explore good local cuisine restaurant and very professional. Though we had to cut short the tour by 2 days, they were able to understand my emergency and helped to get the refund of the 2 days tour. Must travel and take services from Rizz tour. We came from down south of India without knowing anything about Kashmir and their itinerary was spot on exact sightseeing spots across Kashmir. Srinagar is located in the heart of the Kashmir valley at an altitude of 1,730 m above sea level, spread on both sides of the river Jehlum. Akbar captured Kashmir valley for the Mughals, who endowed Srinagar with beautiful mosques and gardens. The Sikhs overthrew the last Muslim ruler in the reign of Maharaja Ranjit Singh in 1819. In 1846 the Dogras secured the sovereignty of Kashmir from the British under the Treaty of Amritsar, and in 1947 the state of Jammu and Kashmir with Srinagar as its capital, became part of the Indian Union.

By train: The rail link between Srinagar and Jammu is under construction however one can reach up to Udhampur by train from there onward one can travel by road up-to Banihal from there one can board train for Srinagar, Srinagar railway station is located at Nowgam Baypass .

Jammu & Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation (J&KSRTC) operates special coach services between the airport and the city.

Super deluxe, A-class, B-class buses are operated by J&K SRTC as well as other transport agencies. These take approx. 11 hours to cover the journey and the cost per seat in J&K SRTC bus is From Rs 200/- to Rs. 450/ From Jammu to Srinagar. From Delhi an express coach service is available, which takes 26 hours to reach Srinagar at the cost per seat of Rs.1400/-.
