“Cycling to the Med and Málaga. Thank you for the wonderful experience of biking in Spain! This was our first biking trip and we would definitely do it again! Riding in Alhama was our favourite experience. Biking through the mountains to the coast was spectacular and we followed all your helpful recommendations❤️ We also got extremely lucky with the weather. We will cherish the memory of this adventure 🙏 Warmest regards!” N. & A. Giurici – Calgary, Can – November 2023
“Thanks for such a nice Mediterranean bike tour!! We had an awesome time and really enjoyed the mix of inland country cycling and then the glorious beach time at the coast. Brilliant! Great hotels and really good bikes too. Cheers for everything.” K. Eastwood – London, UK – October 2023
“Just a note to say, thanks again for the bike to the Med tour, we recently cycled. We very much enjoyed the entire trip and found it a great area to explore. We love cycling Andalucia and can’t get over how respectful the drivers are!!! Hoping to come back and do another self-led trip with you guys soon!” P. Hansen – Maine, USA – October 2023
“A big thank you for our last tour (Cycling to the Med) with you! Wonderful organization and your provided written materials – history, maps, Apps, et. were really top notch and gave a great over view of the history. Wow, very cool. Very much enjoyed the route and especially the Nerja Parador hotel on the beach! Look forward to another trip with you. Gracias! :)” C. & B. DeRosa -Toronto, Canada – September 2023
“A group of 4 of us did the self guided “Cycle to the Med” tour in early March and it was a lovely experience! It was all of our first times booking a cycling tour which was a bit nerve wracking at first, but Cycling Country made it all a breeze. They provide so much information— the Ride with GPS app has accurate routes, some warnings and notes, and restaurant recommendations. They also provide historical notes through the app and their guide book. When we were corresponding with the team from Cycling Country beforehand, they had ensured us that we wouldn’t need to do much planning beforehand and that was really true! Everything you need is in the guide book and app which made it easy for us to just focus on the beautiful scenery and cycling. I think some minimal planning beforehand and reading up on history was good enough and then the rest of the information you can easily learn through the resources the team provides you. The whole team was also super helpful and nice the whole trip through. The routes themselves were fantastic. There’s a few different options per day and Geoff (who we met with on our first day) gave us some great pointers for the routes (where you should be more careful, what to expect from each ride, etc). We all preferred the quieter routes in the mountains as it gets quite busy in the city so if you do this tour, definitely take advantage of the longer routes that go through the small towns. The hotels were absolutely beautiful as well!! Perhaps we were lucky with the hotels because we came during off season, but we were all very impressed by the choices that were booked. We would for sure book another trip with Geoff and Maggi in the future! We had such an incredible experience and it will be a trip to remember!” A. Zeng – Montréal, Canada – March 2023
“My husband and I just finished the absolutely fantastic Cycle to the Med self-guided bike trip from Cycling Country. I cannot say enough good things about working with this company and its fabulous owners, Geoff and Maggi. From my first email inquiry to the amazing end-of-ride lunch spot they recommended and everything in between, it was a flawless, top-notch experience. This route is a newer offering for them, and we couldn’t have been more pleased. The scenery was beautiful and varied. There was mix of challenging climbs, thrilling descents and breathtaking coastal riding. The hotels were all excellent–and quite different. Geoff and Maggi were super accommodating and worked with us (even mid-ride) to tweak a few things. They clearly know the area inside and out, and all of their restaurant recommendations and points of interest were divine! Highly recommend!” M. Orth – Seattle, Washington, USA – October 2021
“Cycling near Málaga! All of it. The hotels were great, the cycling excellent and the personal service outstanding. The weather was also kind to us!” S. Otty – Bristol, UK – October 2021
“Fantastic trip to Malaga! We had a wonderful short self-guided trip in the hills above Malaga and enjoyed all aspects of it The places where we stayed were excellent in their varied ways – all very comfortable. The routes were interesting and even the long up-hills were easy on the well set-up e-bikes .The support we got from Cycling Country was fantastic ; it felt very personal and we will certainly recommend them and be back for more ourselves.” A. Bruges – UK – October 2021

Find out what our wonderful customers are saying about us:
Why Malaga Bike?
Founded in 2008 by Kay Farrell, MALAGA BIKE is the pioneer bike tours & rental company in Malaga. In that first year of business, one of our customers commented to Kay that as the business grew, it would be impossible to keep up the level of service we offered. Now, well over a decade later, we are proud to say that even though we have grown in size we have maintained that high standard of customer service over the years. The fact that we have been consistently rated as the no. 1 bike company in Malaga on Tripadvisor throughout all these years we believe is proof of that.
Our enthusiastic team has an excellent reputation for offering the best customer service in town. We all share one thing: PASSION. Passion for bikes and above all, passion for Malaga! And after so many years of experience in the bike business, we are experts in spreading Malaga’s WOW factor.
We value each and every customer. Our team is ready and waiting to give you personalised attention to help you find the perfect bike rental and share all of our favourite bike routes with you. And besides, we’ve got all kinds of insider’s tips on tapas bars, the best restaurants, festivals, flamenco shows, etc. Just think of us as your personal Malaga concierge!
As you are out and about discovering this wonderful city by bike, we don’t want you to worry about anything. Our team of mechanics keeps our fleet of Dutch-style City Bikes, kids bikes, tandems and KONA trekking bikes in tip-top condition. However, in the rare case that a problem occurs, just give us a call and we will find the best solution depending on where you are.
