Monterosso al Mare: the northernmost village of the Cinque Terre, which is divided into two sides: the historic center and the “new” side called Fegina, with a pedestrian tunnel that connects the two. Monterosso is larger than the other towns and is the only one that offers beach services, making it the most visited of the Cinque Terre.

Vernazza: the smallest of the Cinque Terre villages, and commonly known as the most fascinating thanks to its beautiful marina and the Church of Santa Margherita d’Antiochia which stands right on the water. Here you will also see the Torre del Belforte which sits above the harbour as a protective lighthouse for the small village.

Corniglia: lying 100 meters high on a cliff, Corniglia is the only one of the towns without a port and has a panoramic terrace from which you can see Manarola and Riomaggiore to the south and Vernazza and Monterosso to the north.

Where do we meet the boat?

Our tours depart from the main pier in front of the Historic Center side of Monterosso. Upon confirmation, we will send a map showing the departure point. Contact us directly for more information.

Is there parking near where we meet the boat?

There are two public parking lots in Monterosso, however due to the very limited space in this small village, we strongly recommend arriving by train. If you have a car, you can park in either La Spezia or Levanto, and catch the train from there.

This 4 hour tour, entirely by boat, will give you the opportunity to discover the whole beauty of the Cinque Terre in a relaxing and friendly atmosphere, accompanied by our playlist, tasty tapas and prosecco.

The tour will start from the small port of Levanto and then Monterosso  (boarding and arrival from/to Levanto provides an additional hour to your tour without extra charge)

The boat and the captain will be at your complete disposal, from morning until around 6pm.  We suggest to start the tour from one of the villages of the 5 lands, Monterosso, Vernazza, Riomaggiore and Manarola. For departures from the port of La Spezia to 5 Terre and back, please note that it takes at least 5 hours to go and return, considering that within the marine protected area there is a speed limit of 5 knots, which it means taking 3 hours just to see the 5 lands from the sea.

In case of uncertain weather conditions, the skipper is authorized to change the itinerary and sail in the picturesque Gulf of Poets (instead of along the Cinque Terre Coast).

During the trip, an apéritif will be served with local snacks.  Luncheon can be arranged aboard, as you can decide to disembark in Vernazza and have lunch in a local restaurant.

Overall, it seems that most tours tend to leave from La Spezia, which allows for a smooth and direct journey.

How many hours do I want on the boat?

Are you planning to spend a full day on a boat, or just enough to see all the Cinque Terre and enjoy some swimming?

Boat tours tend to range from a minimum of 2 hours all the way up to 7 or 8 hours. Usually, the full-day excursions include swimming, food, a village break or two, and additional locations like Porto Venere. The 2 hour tours, on the other hand, usually only see the five villages and have a swimming break.

Will this be the day’s event or not?

This is something that is very important to consider! No matter how relaxing a boat tour may feel, you will come out of it exhausted. This is because you will spend lots of time under the sun, and likely have a few swimming sessions.

To share a personal experience, my friend and I were absolutely drained after a 2-3 hour long tour. Thankfully, we did our hike the day before and enjoyed a relaxing afternoon (post-nap).

With our morning boat tour, you can take your first bath and snorkel, swim in the beautiful crystal clear waters of the Cinque Terre. An excellent typical Ligurian breakfast, based on focaccia, fruit juices and water, is waiting for you. PORTOVENERE + ISLANDS TOUR

The Cinque Terre is the jewel of the Italian Riviera, but if you want to explore deeper, check out our laid-back seaside neighbor.

Our Portovenere tours have two different departure times: morning (around 9:30) and afternoon (around 13:30).

Departure from the marina in riomaggiore, we’ll head south-east: in the opposite direction of the 5 iconic villages..

Take out your camera right away, as leaving our harbor, you’ll see Riomaggiore’s picture perfect landscape in its bold colors.

Alternating between various secret and isolated beaches (which can only, exclusively be reached by boat or kayak), you’ll first see Canneto Beach, known for its small waterfall and crystalline waters. Then, Pineda, with its small ponds, natural pools and magical scenery.

Cruising along the midst of cliffs and mediterranean maquis, comes one of the most inaccessible villages ever built: the town of monasteroli..

The landscape is extraordinary, built on a vertical rather than horizontal axis, along the natural course of the rock. Soon after, there’s the stunning, remote beach of Tramonti and the rock of Ferrale, topped with its steel cross.

After Ferrale, you’ll see Campiglia beach, which then opens up to a paradise for rock climbers. Known as Muzzerone (between Campiglia and Portovenere), the cliffs are not only high but also steep with gorgeous colors: black rocks alternating with red rocky walls.

Arriving into portovenere, you’ll be awed by its mighty castle overlooking the sea, a historical landmark of the genoese bulwark in the medieval period..

Below the castle, we’ll dip in for our first swim: La Grotta di Byron, also known as Arpaia Cave. With the water being untouched, it’s the perfect place to see some marine life. Be sure to ask your skipper for snorkeling masks.

After your dip, get back on board and dry off while we head towards Portovenere,

Where you’ll have an opportunity to get off the boat and walk around the village: explore the church of san pietro, built directly on a low cliff, overlooking the sea, as well as the castle. and for the food-lover: adventure into the small alleyways for some local delicacies..

We’ll then cruise into the island of Tino, a military property, where you’ll also get a glimpse of the active lighthouse of San Venerio.

And as we reach the rock of Tinetto, it’s our cue to return north, this time going inside the coast, so you’ll also get a view of the Gulf of La Spezia. After an hour of relaxed cruising, topped with another refreshing swim along the coastline, you’ll safely be back to the lovely port of Riomaggiore.
