Monty has been making television programmes for over 30 years and has been lead presenter of the BBC’s Gardener’s World since 2003. Since 2011 the programme has come from his own garden, Longmeadow, in Herefordshire.

After a thrilling sell-out tour in 2022 Monty is heading back out on tour where he will share tales from his career in gardening, detail his favourite gardens – both ancient and modern, and reveal how he fell in love with the natural world. Good acoustics and good seats - stalls row J. Parts of the Hall are looking a bit dated now, but it’s a comfortable and well located venue.

We returned to St. Davids hall after last visiting in 1983?4. We were very disappointed as it was a very busy night but only 1 lift was working. I am disabled and unable to walk/use stairs. But the staff were very helpful and frustrated by the situation. The seats were very uncomfortable!!

came to this venue to see Joss Stone , this is a well situated site in the heart of Cardiff city centre, I think where ever your seated in this venue you will have a great view of the performance.

We listened to the St Petersburg Orchestra in an excellent auditorium. The view, we were in the top tier of seats, was perfect as were the acoustics. A memorable evening.

Came to watch lulu, great venue always have a good time, very helpful ticket booth after we didnt get our tickets delivered to our house . Want to say a big thank you to the helpful security guard for giving my partner and extra bottle of water as she has a bad cough wish we got his name , he was the guard with long grey hair 😁. We will be back in april 😁

Three of us went to the BAFTA awards and enjoyed the evening. Not often do we get a chance to mix with the celebrities so this was a great night. Drinks and nibbles on the first floor prior to the awards event. Seating in the theatre is good and wherever you are sitting the views are unrestricted.

Monty Don health update after saying he would quit Gardeners' World

The much-loved star has said he is 'being healed' and called it an 'ongoing process'

Gardening guru Monty Don has given a health update after reports he would soon be quitting Gardeners' World. Monty 68, told Times Radio: "The logical thing to do is give up Gardeners' World." as he spoke about approaching his 70s.

Last year Monty said: "I won’t do it forever. I will stop. I have no firm plans, but the BBC knows – I’ve told them. It will come to an end sometime in the next three, four or five years. It depends on circumstances and what else I’m doing.”

The grandfather-of-three said: “I’m now 68, I was going to stop when I was 65. I’ll now go on till I’m 70 and then reconsider. The reason for that is that, apart from anything else, it’s not so much wanting my garden back, although there’s a strong element of that. For instance, I always spend Saturdays in the garden and it’s a joy, because I’m there on my own.

“It’s just that, whilst I’ve still got energy, there are lots of other projects I want to do that mean I can’t be here every week.”

Monty has presented the show for more than 20 years. Now in a new interview with Times Radio he has spoken more about his health struggles. He said: "I have, for many years, suffered from depression, which comes and goes but tends to be something that is worse in the winter."

But he said he has been working on improving his health, adding: "I wouldn’t say I have been healed. I'd say I am being healed. It's an ongoing process."

And he said he has no intention of giving up as gardening is who he is. He said: "In the end, I'm a gardener and my life is lived in my garden. To share that through the medium of Gardeners' World is not only a privilege, it's also completely central to who I am and what I do."

Last year Monty said his Seasonal Affective Disorder was so bad his wife Sarah threatened to leave ig he didn't get help. The presenter also suffered a minor stroke in 2008

Monty's new show, Monty Don's Spanish Gardens, starts on BBC Two on February 23.
