Nickelback to play at Toyota Amphitheatre in Wheatland on July 8

SACRAMENTO -- Canadian rock band Nickelback has a date with Sacramento this summer. 

The band's North American tour began Monday, June 12, in Quebec City, and they're taking their tour to the City of Trees. 

They will be performing at the Toyota Amphitheatre in Wheatland on July 8, and their concert here will see guest performers that include renowned country rocker Brantley Gilbert and rising country artist Josh Ross. 

Fans can expect hits such as "How You Remind Me" and "Photograph".

Nickelback took the helm of post-grunge rock and brought it to the 2000s with sensible style. NICKELBACK Announces Spring/Summer 2023 'Get Rollin'' North American Tour

Acclaimed rock band NICKELBACK has announced the 2023 "Get Rollin'" tour, in support of their most recent 10th studio album, "Get Rollin'" . Produced by Live Nation , the massive run will hit 38 cities this summer, kicking off on Monday, June 12 in Quebec City, Quebec at Videotron Centre, with stops across North America in Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Nashville and more before wrapping up on Wednesday, August 30 in Belmont Park, New York at UBS Arena. NICKELBACK 's history dates back to 1995 in Hanna, Alberta, where they got their start playing covers in a band called VILLAGE IDIOT , a nod to the small-town nature where they played and grew up. In 1996, Chad , alongside Ryan Peake , made the 10-hour trek west to follow Mike to Vancouver, British Columbia, where the band still resides and continues to make music today.

Nickelback announced for 2024 California Mid-State Fair

PASO ROBLES — The California Mid-State Fair announced that Nickelback has been confirmed to perform in concert on Wednesday, July 24. Special guest Dillon James will open the show starting at 7:30 p.m. The concert will take place in the Chumash Grandstand Arena at the Paso Robles Event Center and is part of the Michelob Ultra Concert Series presented by Visit SLO CAL.

Ticket prices for the show are $50, $90, $130, and   $175 and will go on sale Friday, March 8, starting at 10 a.m. to the general public. New this year is a program called “Local Fan of the Fair” which will allow registered local fans one-hour early access to purchase tickets. Special Guest: Dillon James

Born and raised in Bakersfield, California, Dillon James was influenced by the city's unique blend of Rock n' Roll and Country music from an early age. James was first drawn to classic rock, though his tastes diversified to the likes of City And Color, Glen Campbell, Jeff Buckley, George Strait and Bob Dylan by the time he began writing his own music as a teen. Combined with inspiration from the local sounds of Merle Haggard and Buck Owens, James developed the soulful vocals that now characterize his music. Dillon's tendency to win singer songwriter competitions led to a brief stint working as an actor in Los Angeles, followed by a turbulent period of substance abuse and homelessness. During this painful time Dillon realized that if he could heal himself and achieve his lifelong dream of becoming a singer songwriter, he could become a living testament to others as well. Dillon accomplished his goal and, following a successful run on American Idol, moved to Nashville to write and record his debut album. Whereas James' early songs were largely autobiographical, his forthcoming project will guide fans through a cohesive body of work like the classic Rock and Country albums of his hometown.
