With over a decade in the business we at Oahu Half Day Tours have noticed that a substantial amount of visitors to Hawaii do not have the energy and attention span for a full day excursion.  Most will jump on a bus with 40 other strangers for a 10 hour tour and actually visit only 6 general places. Pick up is wherever you like!  Anywhere that is convenient to you.

Pick up time is up to you.  Most groups usually get picked up between. 8 and 9 am but you may choose any pickup time you like.  Just let us know in your booking notes.

We give you a call the night before and morning of as well to make sure we are on the same page as far as time and place.

Tour Duration

The Circle Island Tour on Oahu is a full day event.  Pick-up is at approximately 7:45 am with a return to your hotel at approximately 5:00 pm.  Circle Island Tours from Waikiki are available on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Cancellations of our Circle Island Tours are at no charge up to 24 hours prior to the initial tour time. Any cancellation 24 hours or less before pick-up time will be charged the full rate for the ride. Cancellations to Oahu tours made after hours by answering service will be accepted based on the time-stamp on the message.

My fiance just spontaneously said let's go on the Diamond Head Hike ! We called for our car to be pulled up and hit the GPS route. Have to say that we are active and this fit right in line with our lifestyle. It was a great experience and I'd have to say I would not shy away from doing it again to catch any views that we didn't catch the 1st time. The views and resting points along the way are simply amazing. The Hike is very well laid out and an easy walk as the trail snakes on cliffs edge and even through the mountain at one point. So cool. Michael was very knowledgeable about local history and quite affable. The actual tour takes between 3-4 hours and the other 2 hours are spent hiking up Diamond Head. Word of warning: Make sure you wear good tennis shoes and light clothing for your hike. If you can, bring a bottle of water with you. I would consider this a moderate to hard hike primarily because of the uneven terrain. However, it is certainly worth the effort when you reach the top. Coming down is a heck of lot easier than going up! We were very impressed with the tour as it gave us a good local flavoring of Waikiki and the Diamond Head areas. No food or drink included, Lisa was great until we asked if we could give some feedback on our experience. Lisa became angry and told us she never had a complaint. We were offered numerous accommodations including to do a different day as well as an offer for the same day with a different tour. We took the same day due to scheduling conflicts, and instead of the normal tour they picked us up in a stretch limo and brought us to the East side of the island to see the sunrise and do a hike to the lighthouse. • Diamond Head  – A 200,000-year-old defining volcanic structure formed the Honolulu Volcanic Series. It’s a worldwide symbol of the Hawaiian Islands
• Kahala Estates – Kahala Estates are a large concentration of some of the most expensive real estate and beachfront properties in Hawaii. Many celebrities and business moguls vacation homes in this area.
• Hanauma Bay* Formed within a volcanic cone, this marine ecosystem offers spectacular views (Closed on Mondays and Tuesday’s)
• Halona “Blow Hole” Lookout**  – This volcanic lava tube propels water into the sky like a whale’s blowhole
• Waimanalo Town* – This quaint, rustic town is known for its local flavor and numerous plant nurseries and agricultural lots that extend back toward the Koolau Mountains.
• Nuuanu Pali Lookout* – The bewitchingly scenic lookout was also the site of the Battle of Nuuanu, one of the bloodiest conflicts in Hawaiian history. It was here that Kamehameha I conquered the island of Oahu on his quest to unite the Hawaiian Islands.

I broke my ankle while on vacation and rented a mobility scooter the rest of the trip. This company is ADA compliant on their Grand Circle Island Tour of Oahu. The driver was great! He told us about the history of where we were going and kept us entertained the entire trip. He also never acted annoyed that he had to use the bus lift to lift me down at each stop which was nice. I do not believe the normal tour is on a huge bus unless you need the ADA complaint. I've been to Oahu 4 times in the past and never really did a Circle Island Tour. This was one of my favorite days I had (despite it raining the entire trip). I enjoyed all the stops!

Recently did two different tours with this company during my vacation with my husband in Oahu. The Grand Circle Island Tour with Cousin Koko was the best. Not only was he professional and fun-spirited, he was patient and very informative. Learned so much about the different places we visited on the tour. Treated everyone on the motorcoach like ohana! The Pearl Harbor and USS Arizona Memorial Tour with Cousin Wes was great as well. Our tour through downtown Honolulu was great; definitely appreciated the history lesson! It’s imperative that while on vacation, one should learn about the history and culture about the place you’re visiting! Thank you Roberts Hawaii for making our tours memorable!

The guide we had was excellent. He had a keen knowledge and deep understanding of the history and culture of Oahu and all the places we visited. And he brought us to a great local spot for lunch.
