Skyline Tour - A Must Do in Frankfurt 🙂

Magnificent views of Frankfurt Night Skyline! Boat very comfortable providing smooth ride. All staff were professional & welcoming. We were so happy that we chose to do the night cruise. The LED lighting dancing across the water was magical ️. Tickets were about $15.00 each. Drinks & food available to order. There is seating inside & out. The cruise leaves around 10p. The weather was perfect, with a lovely night breeze . Tbe on-board bathroom was immaculate. Highly recommend

The whole boat trip was good, the weather was nice and it was a great relaxation tour. Though there are few things that could be improved - smoking should be allowed at one particular place as non-smoking passengers (mostly tourists) are not comfortable with smokers freely lightning a cigarette in the crowded boat upstairs. The guiding in English was not loud enough and it was after German guiding tips - meaning that we already passed that particular place and it was uneasy to understand about which building is the guide speaking about. Headphones in the chosen language could be a better option.

I enjoyed seeing the skyline from the water, however the by the time the recording got to the English version you were well past the sight. Also you need to find out how to print of a copy of your ticket, so if you make the reservation on your phone you can not get a digital ticket.

Happy we did this cruise as it wasn't very crowded so it had a very relaxing atmosphere. Lots of great pictures with the city night lights in the background. Highly recommended.

You have to go early to get the best views. The drinks were great and cheap too! The cruise did last for an hour

Lovely way to spend an evening hour on the river and get a different perspective of the city. Many good photo opportunities along the way

We decided to do the 100 minute cruise. Upriver and downriver. Very calm and simple There is a full bar and WC. I recommend the 100 minute cruise the difference in money is minimal. Nice view on the river Main, Frankfurt.

SKYLINE TOUR AMAZING! We were so glad that we decided to take our tour at night. The Frankfurt night skyline is spectacular and the ride is very smooth. Admission for both of us online was $31.00. Boat is beautiful and very clean. Staff all friendly and professional. We really appreciated the narration in English ( narration is done in German followed by English). The Main River is magical at night due to the vast array of LED lights that Frankfurt has installed. There are drinks & snacks available for purchase ( see attached menu). The bathroom on board was immaculate. A MUST DO while in Frankfurt

This review is for the boat cruise (tourist one, they have other special one as well) Pros: + really nice during nice weather. + affordable Cons: - loud - cannot always see both sides of the boat a 100 minute tour down the river for 13.50 (or 50 minutes for 10.50) The 50 minute tour is only half the river (you can choose if you want upstream or downstream part). The tour has pre-recored explanation of what you are seeing in both German and English. The day I went it was raining, so everyone was Indoors. (due to COVID as well) there were some obstructed views, you could not see both on the left and right side of the boat at the same time. (however they do a good job saying things twice on the way there and back). Since everyone was inside, there was quite a lot of chatter and at times it was hard to hear what was actually happening Food: They have food and drinks for sale - I saw some of the food coming out and it was not looking very appealing. The prices are 3.50 euros for a coffee, close to 5 for a beer.

Good sightseeing tour of the river. €10,60 for a 100 minute tour. Plenty of good seats on 3 levels. Service for food and drinks could have been better. Seemed understaffed for so many passengers. All in all, a must for every new tourist.

The Nauheimer family has been active in boating and shipping since 1880 on the Main River. It was Peter Nauheimer who in 1880 bought the steamboat "Germania", refurbished it and launched it as his first boat under the name of "Frankfurt". The offer of transportation across the Main waterway was an immediate success. In fact, Captain Peter Nauheimer was warned by officials not to exceed the authorised number of 200 passengers onboard the "Germania". In 1888, the first landing stage outside Frankurt, in the bordering village of Schwanheim, was built. Documents dating back to 1887 show the impressive frequency with which the steamboat travelled between Frankfurt and Schwanheim. It also laid down the long-standing family boating tradition.Anton Nauheimer, Peter's great-grandson, founded the "Frankfurter Personenschiffahrt Anton Nauheimer GmbH" in 1980. Today, the company owns five striking boats that are known as "Primus Linie" and transport passengers along the Main, Rhine and Neckar Rivers.In contrast to 1880 today's boats serve the leisure activities of the company's guests, rather than acting solely as a means of transportation for workers everyday.

Skyline Tour – sehr zu empfehlen

Wir waren schon einmal auf einem Schiff der Primus Line zu einer Rundfahrt gewesen. Insofern war es ein naheliegender Gedanke bei einem erneuten Besuch in Frankfurt auch dieses Mal wieder auf eines der Mainschiffe zu sitzen. Es war die Skyline Tour. Abends nach 22 Uhr auf dem Main zu schippern hat ein ganz besonderes Flair. Man fährt unter den Innenstadtbrücken, die nach einem ausgeklügelten Lichtkonzept ihre Eigenheiten herausstellen, sieht am Ufer die Menschen in den Parks am Flussufer und sieht die attraktive Kulisse der Mischung aus alten Gebäuden und Hochhäusern. Das alles findet im Sommer bei einsetzender Dunkelheit statt. Tolle Sache. Gastronomie an Bord vielleicht etwas teuer, aber man muss ja nicht konsumieren, das steht ja jedem frei.

Ich habe die 100-minütige Bootstour gemacht, und ich fand, dass sie sehr interessant war. Die Landschaft ist toll, und man hat einen schönen Blick auf die Skyline von Frankfurt (Main). Die Bootstour gehört zu den Aktivitäten, die Besuchern empfohlen werden. Man hat eine wunderbare Sicht auf die Skyline von Frankfurt, bekommt viele interessante Informationen zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten und zur Geschichte der Region. Ich kann diese Bootstour mit der Primus-Linie nur empfehlen.

Am letzten Sonntag haben wir bei strahlendem Sonnenschein die 50-minütige Fahrt vom Eisernen Steg flussaufwärts mitgemacht. Das Schiff ist sehr gepflegt. Die gegebenen Informationen zu den einzelnen Sehenswürdigkeiten sind sehr hilfreich. Wirklich beeindruckend ist der Blick auf die Skyline vom Schiff aus. Der Fahrpreis (€ 9,80) ist fair. Wir kommen gerne wieder, dann für die Tour flussabwärts.

Nicht sehr aufregend, aber entspannend genug an einem sonnigen Tag, außer wenn Sie hungrig und durstig sind und anderthalb Stunden warten müssen, bis Ihre Speisen und Getränke erscheinen und dann feststellen, dass ihnen der Kartoffelsalat ausgegangen ist. Ich bitte Sie, dass Ihnen in Deutschland der Kartoffelsalat ausgeht! Unsere zehnköpfige Gruppe war am Ende der 100 Minuten nicht glücklich. Ich werde das nicht nochmal machen.

Das Schiff wirkt sehr sauber und gepflegt. Leider haben wir keinen Wickeltisch gefunden, Aber unten bei den Toiletten stand ein kleiner Tisch, der war völlig ausreichend. Das Personal war freundlich. Die Preise für die Fahrt fand ich angemessen. Die Preise an Bord halten sich auch im Rahmen, 11,-€ für ein Weizen und ein Glas Weißwein. Wir können eine Fahrt nur Empfehlen, da man einiges zu sehen bekommt, was man so nicht sieht und auch ein paar Informationen dazu.

Mit der Primus-Linie endlich wieder Rundfahrten auf dem Main genießen von FFM Aktuell

Lange war es nicht mehr möglich, die Frankfurter Skyline vom Main aus zu genießen. Die entspannten Rundfahrten oder die beliebten Skylight-Touren am Abend, mit denen die Primus-Linie nicht nur Gäste unserer schönen Stadt, sondern auch viele Frankfurterinnen und Frankfurter begeistert, durften in den vergangenen Monaten leider nicht stattfinden. Doch nun sinken die Infektionszahlen stetig und die Inzidenz liegt seit einigen Tagen unter 100. Sollte das so blieben, dann darf es ab dem 25. Mai endlich wieder heißen: leinen los und ab auf dem Main - natürlich mit umfangreichem Hygienekonzept sowie unter Einhaltung aktueller Maßnahmen.

Wer an Bord gehen möchte, der benötigt einen negativen Antigen-Schnelltest, der nicht älter als 24 Stunden sein darf. Erst nach Vorlage des Testnachweises und der Kontaktdatenerfassung könnt Ihr völlig entspannt eine Schiffstour über den Main genießen. Bei dem Klassiker unter den Fahrten der Primus-Linie, den Rundfahrten in Frankfurt, geht es mainaufwärts in Richtung Osthafen bis zur Gerbermühle oder mainabwärts bis zum Westhafen und wieder zurück an den Mainkai. Bei den Rundfahrten erlebt Ihr die Mainmetropole in all ihren Facetten, können die Hochhäuser des Bankenviertels an sich vorbeiziehen lassen oder den Blick auf die Altstadt genießen. Die Rundfahrt kostet für Erwachsene 10,80 Euro und für Kinder von sechs bis 14 Jahre sechs Euro.

Wir blicken optimistisch in die Zukunft und freuen uns wieder Gäste an Bord zu begrüßen. Ab dem 29. Mai starten dann auch wieder unsere Tagesfahrten Richtung Arschaffenburg und Seligenstadt oder auf dem Rhein Richtung Rheingau bis nach Rüdesheim“, freut sich Marie Nauheimer, Geschäftsführerin der Primus-Linie. Die Tagesfahrten Aschaffenburg und Rüdesheim kosten ab dem Mainkai mit dem Schiff hin und zurück für Erwachsene 34,50 Euro und für Kinder 17,25 Euro. (13.07.2021)  Der Sommer ist in vollem Gang und wo könnte man diesen besser verbringen als an der frischen Luft und am besten auf dem Sonnendeck einer der fünf Schiffe der Frankfurter Primus-Linie. Für den Urlaub in Frankfurt stellt das Unternehmen vier Tipps zur Freizeitgestaltung auf dem Wasser für Familien, Paare oder Freunde vor.

Tägliche Rundfahrt – ideal für eine spontane Fahrt Der Klassiker unter den Primus-Fahrten sind die täglichen Rundfahrten auf dem Main. Entlang des Mainufers geht es mainaufwärts in Richtung Osthafen bis zur Gerbermühle und mainabwärts bis zum Westhafen und wieder zurück an den Mainkai. Vom Schiff aus genießen Gäste hier den idealen Blick auf die Frankfurter Skyline, die neue Altstadt und auf das gegenüberliegende Museumsufer. In den Sommermonaten starten die 50- oder 100-minütigen Touren unter der Woche jede Stunde und am Wochenende alle 30 Minuten. Die Rundfahrten sind ab 10,80 Euro für Erwachsene und sechs Euro für Kinder vorab online oder am Fahrkartenkiosk buchbar. 

Tagesfahrten – eine Mischung aus Natur und Stadt Die Tagesfahrten der Primus-Linie bieten genau den richtigen Mix aus Sightseeing, Entspannung an Bord und einem Stadtausflug. Denn hier geht es zum Beispiel mainaufwärts nach Aschaffenburg mit dem ältesten englischen Landschaftspark Bayerns. Die sehenswerte Stadt Seligenstadt mit ihren kleinen malerischen Gassen gibt es ebenfalls mainaufwärts bei einer Tagestour zu entdecken. Mainabwärts führt eine weitere Tagesfahrt zum Rhein bis nach Rüdesheim. Die Fahrt dorthin durch den schönen Rheingau mit Weinanbau, soweit das Auge reicht, wird zu einem Erlebnis der besonderen Art. Eine weitere Tagesfahrt führt Gäste von Wiesbaden oder Mainz nach Frankfurt. In der Mainmetropole haben sie dann Gelegenheit eine Besichtigungs- oder Shopping-Tour zu unternehmen und können sich danach auf der Rückfahrt bei Kaffee und Kuchen à la carte an Bord erholen. In den Tag starten können Gäste bei allen Tagesfahrten mit einem leckeren Frühstück. Die Tagesfahrten Aschaffenburg und Rüdesheim kosten ab dem Mainkai mit dem Schiff hin und zurück für Erwachsene 34,50 Euro und für Kinder 17,25 Euro. Für die Tagesfahrt Seligenstadt zahlen Erwachsene 29,50 Euro und Kinder die Hälfte. Die Tagesfahrt von Wiesbaden/Mainz nach Frankfurt ist für 31 Euro pro Person und für 15,50 Euro für Kinder buchbar.  

Skylight-Tour – inklusive glitzernder Skyline Bei den beliebten Skylight-Touren am Abend, wenn es langsam dunkel wird, erwartet die Gäste der Primus-Linie ein Lichtermehr aus beleuchteten Wolkenkratzern sowie besondere Lichteffekte am Mainufer und an den Mainbrücken, die bei dieser Tour passiert werden. Ein absolutes Highlight und ideal für laue Sommernächte. Erwachsene zahlen für die 60-minütige Skylight-Tour 13,50 Euro und Kinder 8,50 Euro.

After-Work – der entspannte Feierabend Auch für alle, die noch keine Ferien haben, bietet die Primus-Linie den idealen Feierabend. Jeden Donnerstag und Freitag, wenn das Wochenende vor der Tür steht, können Gäste an Bord mit Kollegen oder Freunden gemütliche Sommerabende genießen. Bei kühlen Drinks und leckerem Essen lautet hier das Motto: „Entspannt Euch!“. Ein Live-DJ sorgt dabei für passende Stimmung – im Freien darf nun auch wieder getanzt werden. Das After-Work kostet 17,50 Euro pro Person. Auch in Wiesbaden und Mainz finden diese Fahrten wöchentlich statt.

A PERFECT CIRCLE, PRIMUS and PUSCIFER's Sessanta tour kickoff: See setlist and videos

Maynard James Keenan's Sessanta celebrations kicked off in grand fashion last night (April 2nd). The three-way, collaborative package tour featuring A Perfect Circle , Puscifer and Primus brought Boston's excellently named Wang Theatre an epic taste of each project, not to mention their recent collaborative Sessanta E.P.P.P.

As expected, the bands took turns performing throughout the night, with A Perfect Circle starting things off, Primus taking the second slot, and Puscifer cleaning up the first round. They didn't exactly stick to that formation, though, as you can see through the mega-sized, 29-song setlist (courtesy of Setlist.fm ) below.

The Sessanta tour's collaborative spirit saw Keenan jumping onstage to help Primus through the iconic, slap-metal funkiness of "Tommy the Cat," while Primus drummer Tim "Herb" Alexander leant two hands to A Perfect Circle on "The Hollow," and Les Claypool — wearing his finest Pork Soda mask — bowed his way through Puscifer's "Grand Canyon."

The show notably marked the live debuts of APC's "Kindred," Puscifer's "No Angel" and Primus' "Pablo's Hippos," the three tracks off the Sessanta E.P.P.P.

As is his way, Keenan asked concertgoers not to take photos or videos throughout the show, but he did finally grant folks permission to film and photograph the finale performance of Puscifer's "Grand Canyon." Watch fan-shot videos above and below.

“It’s a story about gluttonous individuals sucking the colors out of the world,” says Primus singer/bassist Les Claypool. “The overuse of resources by the greedy elite, and how the meek masses can overcome them in the end by unifying. It seemed pretty relevant these days.”

The tale Claypool is describing comes from a 1978 children’s book called The Rainbow Goblins by the Italian author and artist Ui de Rico, and it forms the basis for the new Primus album coming out September 29, The Desaturating Seven . In the story—which is accompanied by stunning illustrations, done in oil paints on wood panels—seven goblins come to the valley where rainbows are born, intending to steal the rainbows and eat them. The valley, though, knows that the goblins are coming, and makes a plan to thwart the wicked creatures by hiding the rainbow. After the goblins are caught in their own nets, the flowers release the colors of the rainbow and drown the goblins, and in gratitude, the rainbow turns the flowers into beautiful birds who fly across the valley in freedom.

“My wife got turned onto it when she was a kid, and we started reading it to my children when they were very young,” says Claypool. “It became a bedtime story favorite. It always came across a bit frightening, like an old Grimm’s fairy tale—a little dark and creepy, which seemed very much up my strasse .”

Claypool found particular inspiration in de Rico’s paintings for The Rainbow Goblins . “The artwork is just amazing,” he says. “There’s a beauty but also a dark eeriness for this compelling, sinister story. The paintings are incredible, vibrant, very unique looking—it’s a good contrast between dark and light visually and also metaphorically. And there’s always been a strong visual element to Primus.”

Indeed, taking inspiration from a wide range of sources was part of what made Primus one of the most distinctive, innovative bands of the 1990s. The trio’s alt/punk/avant-­garde/psychedelic/country attack, along with Claypool’s surreal, fever-­dream lyrics, resulted in some of rock’s unlikeliest hits, including “Tommy the Cat,” “Jerry Was A Race Car Driver,” and “Wynona’s Big Brown Beaver.” The Desaturating Seven marks the return of the definitive Primus line-­up—Claypool, guitarist Larry “Ler” LaLonde, and drummer Tim “Herb” Alexander—for its first album of original music since 1995.

Starting as an underground phenomenon in San Francisco, the band’s cult grew rapidly. Such albums as Sailing the Seas of Cheese (1991), Pork Soda (1993), and Tales from the Punch Bowl (1995) all went gold and or platinum, and Primus toured with some of rock’s biggest names—U2, Jane’s Addiction, Public Enemy, Rush—and headlined the third Lollapalooza festival.

Alexander left and rejoined Primus several times, and Claypool alternated between the band and such other projects as Oysterhead (with Trey Anastasio and Stewart Copeland) and the Claypool Lennon Delirium, alongside Sean Lennon. In 2014, Alexander returned for the Primus & The Chocolate Factory with the Fungi Ensemble album, on which the group covered the iconic soundtrack to the 1971 film Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory .

Staying in the fantasyland of children’s stories, Claypool decided to tackle the adaptation of The Rainbow Goblins . “The challenge was to write music about goblins and rainbows and not come off overly clichéd,” he says. “I didn’t want to be overly literal either—there are very few straight-­up lines from the book in the lyrics, more like hints at metaphors.” He started off with the story’s climactic moment, which became the nearly-­eight-­minute epic “The Storm.”

“I wrote that and recorded some bass and vocals, and I played it over the phone for Larry,” says Claypool. “I worried that I was going too far down the 70’s art/prog path, I didn’t want it to come off cheesy. But he loved it, and then so did our manager, which inspired me to keep going.”

With that central piece down, Claypool started fleshing out the journey of the book, creating an introduction, “The Valley,” that established some of the themes that thread through much of the music. From there, it became a matter of working through the story and building a cohesive structure.

“Originally it was going to be one giant piece, but some parts didn’t match up,” says Claypool. “You get these epiphanies and then you hit a wall—I was rolling along and then ‘The Trek’ really hung me up. ‘The Dream’ was an odd one, tough to wrangle, but a good contrast—very dark and sparse, then there are these big percussive hits and then at the end, away it goes, into this early Peter Gabriel-­ish rhythm.”

Having to maintain a story line represented a new sort of challenge for Claypool’s writing. “When you have a narrative, it puts up parameters,” he says. “It gives you interesting jumping-­off points, but it can also make it more difficult. Those confines can propel you forward or hold you back a little bit. But using someone else’s art for inspiration certainly opens doors you wouldn’t on your own.”

Musically, The Desaturating Seven led Primus back to some of the sounds and styles of their earlier days. “This record hearkens back to our prog roots—Rush, Yes, Crimson, all those things,” says Claypool. “It’s a little heavier than the last record, more intricate than anything we’ve done in a while.”

Which, he adds, made these songs ideal as a return to working with Tim Alexander on original material. “This stuff is totally In his wheelhouse,” says

Claypool. “Intricate and melodic drumming is what Tim does, what naturally comes out of him.”

From its inception, Claypool approached The Desaturating Seven music with an eye toward presenting it on stage. “As I was laying it out, I was already thinking about how it could be performed trunk-­to-­tail,” he says. Now he’s in the process of planning a tour that will feature a complete performance of the new record—a show with a set of Primus material and then “an entire set of Goblin Rock, with full production and fancy eye candy.”

For Les Claypool, sailing the seas of The Rainbow Goblins represents the completion of an idea he’s been kicking around for a long time. “Twenty years ago, I thought it would be great to turn it into music someday, but I’m just getting around to it now,” he says. “It was kind of a back-­burner thing—but as I get older, I have to get through those, because at some point, I’m going to open up a hot dog stand and say goodbye.”

In the end, though, for all its specific requirements and obstacles, The Desaturating Seven came down to finding a way to let Primus be Primus. “Every time, it’s like building the Golden Gate Bridge out of a pile of popsicle sticks,” says Claypool. “You have a certain amount of sticks and you have to figure out how to make it work. But I’ve been working with these particular sticks for a long while, so I tend to know where to put them.”

And now, the definitive Primus line-up – singer/bassist Les Claypool, guitarist Larry LaLonde, and drummer Tim Alexander – is back together and planning on getting the worldwide masses bobbing up and down in unison once more.

Although originally formed in 1984, it was not until shortly before the end of the decade that the aforementioned classic line-up was solidified. With most hard rock/heavy metal acts at the time either neatly falling into either “thrash” or “glam” categories, Primus joined a variety of underground bands that refused to be pigeonholed (and by the early ’90s, had fully infiltrated the mainstream) – merging metal, funk, alternative, punk, country, roots rock, and experimental music, along with Claypool’s penchant for witty and often humorous storytelling lyrics.

Building a large and loyal following first in and around San Francisco (before eventually, going global), Primus kicked things off with a string of releases that are now considered classic alt-rock titles – 1989’s ‘Suck on This,’ 1990’s ‘Frizzle Fry,’ 1991’s ‘Sailing the Seas of Cheese,’ 1993’s ‘Pork Soda,’ and 1995’s ‘Tales from the Punchbowl.’ Along the way, Primus toured with some of rock’s biggest names (Jane’s Addiction, Public Enemy, Rush, U2, etc.), headlined the third-ever Lollapalooza Festival, and issued a variety of crafty music videos, which stood out in sharp contrast to the ultra-seriousness of most other video clips at the time.

Alexander exited Primus in 1996, but returned in 2003, in time for an EP/DVD set, ‘Animals Should Not Try to Act Like People,’ and a sold out reunion tour, that lasted over the next few years, before the drummer departed once more. But as Claypool got to work on putting together a forthcoming book about the band’s history, Les began longing for the days of when Alexander’s unmistakable and powerful drumming provided the beat. A phone call was placed, a conversation ensued, and before you could say, “Here come the bastards,” the Claypool-LaLonde-Alexander line-up was back in business. Plans to tour the world over and offering up new music are already in place. Be forewarned…here they come!

After years of touring and rotating members, 2023 finds Fishbone back to their most solid line up which includes four of its six original members.  The bands self titled EP Fishbone, featuring the single “Cubicle” marks the first release with Chris Dowd back in the band since 1994 and it’s the first music recorded with these members in 29 years.  

Fishbone’s 2023 included world-wide tour dates that kicked off at the SXSW festival and ran all year.  The band will be played their own headline shows, headlined festivals and supported Les Claypool’s Flying Frog Brigade as well as George Clinton Parliament/Funkadelic.

Born out of the punk rock scene of Los Angeles, CA, Fishbone came out with a force of live energy, a feeling that continues to this day.  Signed to Columbia Records in 1984, they went on to release 4 critically acclaimed albums and numerous EPs and singles. They have toured the world headlining their own shows as well as festivals – always leaving people stunned and declaring it “one of the best shows ever seen.”  A statement that still is used today from fans to artists.

With the new EP recorded and produced by Fat Mike of NOFX that came out on Fat Wreck Chords/Bottles to the Ground, Fishbone is getting ready to reclaim their live touring throne. No doubt they will continue to leave the audience wanting more and thinking more, leaving their mark and influence on younger bands, and paving the foundation and legacy they have been laying for decades.

Moscow skyline: explore the city from the rooftops

1. Moscow-City tower The Empire and the Federation Towers, which are located in the new business center in the immediate vicinity of the city center, are part of the tallest complex of buildings in Russia’s capital. Standing on the high-altitude terraces of Moscow-City (Moscow International Business Center buildings) you can enjoy truly inspiring views of the Moscow River and the western part of the city.

The Sixty Restaurant - Bar (the name refers to the interior, which has been executed just like in the 1960s) on the 62 floor of the Federation tower , which makes it the highest restaurant in Europe. 

You can enjoy views of the city from a bird's eye view free of charge too – you will just have to reach the new terrace of the Empire Tower on an express elevator (the 58th floor), located at an altitude of 238 meters.

2. The Vorobyevy Gory and the main Moscow State University building One of the most popular "postcard" views of Moscow is from the observation deck of Vorobyevy Gory (Sparrow Hills). The landscape is especially beautiful on a clear day and late at night when the city lights are turned on. The capital can be seen as if it were in your hands; this is definitely the best place for gazing at the seven Stalin skyscrapers – the famous “Seven Sisters” . From the upper floors of the Moscow State University main building , you can take in an even more breathtaking panorama.

3. Time Out Bar A bar with rather affordable prices and a terrace with simply stunning views of Moscow. Time Out Bar is located on the 12th and 13th floor of a rather old hotel Beijing in the heart of the capital. This is one of my favorite places, which can be found in Moscow skyscrapers; here bartenders prefer making signature cocktails.

4. City Space – a panoramic bar City Space is the highest bar with a 360-degree view of the capital. It is located on the 34th floor of the Swiss Hotel Red Hills , and according to the 2008 Bartender's Guide, it was included in the top 10 bars in the world, and the top 50 best bars in the world by Drink International 2011. The price of one cocktail is around 900 rubles, a must drink for the capital guests is the legendary Moscow Spring Punch with ginger, raspberry and honey.

5. Ivan the Great Bell Tower You can have the possibility of seeing old Moscow from a bird’s eye view if you go up to the 80-meter bell tower of Ivan the Great – "the capital’s first skyscraper" which was built in the 16th century. The belfry is located in the heart of the city – right in the Cathedral Square , adjacent to Red Square. The exhibition is open to visitors and there is also an observation deck, which offers a wonderful view of the Kremlin's Cathedral Square and the old streets of Zamoskvorechye . You can enter with a ticket from the Kremlin Museums.

You can enjoy the view from above with a cup of coffee, which you can get close by – on the rooftop of the Ritz Carlton , where there is a cozy 02 Lounge , which offers an unforgettable view of the Kremlin. The average bill is approximately 2500 rubles.

5. The Ostankino Television Tower The Ostankino Television Tower observation deck has been open to visitors for over 40 years. During this time it has been visited by over 10 million people – from a height of 340 meters you can take a look at northern Moscow and the Moscow region. You can get to the site only as a part of a tour and preferably having booked in advance.

Duration of the tour is 1 hour, the tower is open to the public from 10.00 am to 21.00 pm. 

7. Kalina bar Located on the 21st floor of the Lotte Plaza on Novy Arbat , Kalina Bar offers visitors a panoramic view of the Moscow-City towers , hotel Ukraine , Old Arbat street , Cathedral of Christ the Savior , and many other monuments in the city center. Besides this it offers great Western and Asian cuisine with a bill of approximately 2,000 rubles.
