Q: How do I setup automatic app refreshing? A: When sideloading your app, you now have an option to automatically refresh said app . When the automatic refreshing is enabled, Sideloadly will automatically enroll the app for automatic refreshing which is then handled by the Sideloadly Daemon.

For this to work, a computer is currently needed with Wi-Fi sideloading set up (see below) or your device connected via USB. Sideloadly Daemon will automatically attempt to refresh apps that are near expiry when the device is detected via Wi-Fi or USB.

Q: How do I enable Wi-Fi sideloading via Sideloadly? A: To enable Wi-Fi sideloading your iDevice, please make sure your computer & iOS device are connected to the same network. Then you will need to initially connect your device via USB and follow these instructions depending on your OS: Windows: Open iTunes > Connected Device > Summary > Options > Enable " Sync with this iDevice over Wi-Fi " option > Sync & Done. Latest macOS:  Finder > Select your iDevice under 'Locations' > General > Enable " Show this iDevice when on Wi-Fi " option > Sync & Done. Older macOS:  Open iTunes > Connected Device > Summary > Options > Enable " Sync with this iDevice over Wi-Fi " option > Sync & Done. In some cases, if Sideloadly is not detecting your device wirelessly, you may need to open iTunes. You also need to have your iDevice screen on for it to be detected.

Q: How do I update an app enrolled for automatic refreshing in the daemon? A: Simply open Sideloadly and add the new IPA while using the same Apple/bundle ID and make sure the automatic refresh option is enabled & proceed to sideload. Sideloadly will automatically overwrite the previous IPA & files with the newly sideloaded version.

Q: How do I enable the Sideloadly Mail Plug-in on macOS? A: Please open the macOS Mail App and then open Settings/Preferences. If you need to login to an email account, you can simply click on the Other option and provide some random information to be able to gain access to Mail's preferences. Once on the General Preferences window, at the bottom you will see the option to " Manage Plug-ins ", click on it and tick/enable the SideloadlyPlugin.mailbundle  and then click on  Apply and Restart Mail .

Q: How long will I be able to use the sideloaded app? A: A normal & free Apple Developer account only allows the app to function for 7 days. After 7 days you can sideload it again using  the same Apple ID, just make sure your progress is backed up. Apps signed with a paid Apple Developer Account can last up to 1 year.

Q: Developer Mode Required. How do I enable developer mode on my iOS device to sideload apps? A: Since iOS 16+, Apple now requires users to enable "Developer Mode" on their devices in order to allow the sideloading & installation of apps outside of the iOS App Store. To enable Developer Mode go to Settings > Privacy & Security on the iOS device. Scroll down to the Developer Mode list item and navigate into it and enable the developer mode switch.

Q: How can I save or load my in-game progress? A: You need to make sure your game progress is being synced over Game Center, Facebook, Twitter or Google+. If the game saves it's progress locally, you will need to install the IPA overwriting the one you already have installed. In order to overwrite, the modified IPA must have the same bundle ID and you must use the same Apple ID when sideloading. See below for more information.

Q: Can I overwrite my current app without removing it? A: Yes, it is possible. In order to accomplish this, you need to sideload the IPA with the same Apple ID that your previously sideloaded app is with. If you previously manually set a custom bundle ID, you need to use the same ID again.

Q: How many apps can I sideload? A: iOS 7, 8, 9: You can sideload as many apps as you like on your device. However your free developer account has limitations but you can easily bypass those limitations by creating a new Apple ID. On iOS 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and higher, you can only have 3 sideloaded apps installed on your device at the same time. Apple has limited this and will not allow any more for free Apple Developer accounts. A paid Apple Developer Account does not have such limitations. If you're on iOS 16.1.2 & lower, you can remove these limitations by using WDBRemoveThreeAppLimit .

Q: How can I connect Sideloadly to my Apple TV? A: If you have an Apple TV with a USB port, simply plug it in to your computer and Sideloadly will detect it. If you have a portless Apple TV then sideloading will only work on macOS. A virtual macOS should also work as long as you are using the same network.

For macOS to see your Apple TV, open Settings > Remotes & Devices > Remote App & Devices and keep it on that screen so Sideloadly will detect your Apple TV.

Q: Why can't I restore my Game Center game progress after sideloading? A: With the latest iOS versions, Apple has prevented users on free Apple accounts from sideloading apps that have the same bundle ID as an App Store app. In order to sideload on the latest iOS versions, we are forced to set a unique bundle ID and in doing so, Game Center does not recognize the app therefore will not prompt you to restore your save.

Q: Sideloadly does not show my device? How do I fix <no devices detected>? A: If this happens, reinstall web version of iTunes & iCloud linked above & reboot your PC. Then open up iTunes while your device is connected & make sure you tap on ' Trust ' from the popup on your iDevice and your device should show up in Sideloadly. Trying a different USB cable or port may also help.

Q: How do I trust the app? How do I fix "Untrusted Developer"? A: To trust the app after sideloading, you will need to go to  Settings -> General -> Profiles/VPN & Device Management  and once there, tap on the email you used to sideload then trust it.

Q: Does Sideloadly support iOS 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16? A: Sideloadly should support iOS 7 up to iOS 16 (and other iOS versions in the future). If you experience any iOS specific issues, do let us know so we can investigate!

Q: What kind of .dylibs or .debs can I add to my IPA? App crashes on launch after injecting dylib/deb/framework. A: All dylib/deb/framework files are supported by Sideloadly, however, some of these files are specifically made for Jailbroken and will causes crashes when sideloaded on non-jailbroken devices. Sideloadly will automatically attempt to update the injected files to support non-jailbroken devices, but it won't always 100% work due to how they are made.

Q: Where is the Sideloadly auto refresh cache folder located? A: Windows: C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\cache\sideloadly macOS: /Users/YOURNAME/Library/Caches

Q: Does Sideloadly support Apple Silicon M1/M2 Mac? A: Yes! Sideloadly has been updated to support Apple Silicon MacBook, Mac Minis and iMacs. When Sideloadly is ran on an Apple Silicon device, it will detect and display the Mac itself on the devices list to install the .IPA to. This has been tested by us on Big Sur, Monterey & Ventura.

Q: Does Sideloadly work on Apple Silicon M1/M2 Mac with SIP Enabled? A: Yes! Sideloadly was tested & working with SIP enabled Mac Mini. It is currently uncertain about SIP disabled.

Q: Why am I receiving no permission error when opening my sideloaded M1/M2 iOS App? A: This issue happens if the IPA you have sideloaded was encrypted (downloaded through iTunes or straight from your device). In order to fix this, you need to sideload the decrypted version of the IPA.

Q: How can I use an app-specific Password? A: App-specific passwords partially works via Sideloadly. App-specific password can only work if you are using a paid Apple Developer ID with anisette option disabled.

Q: Can I make legit In-App Purchases on sideloaded apps? Unfortunately, no. Apple prevents In-App Purchases from working on sideloaded/enterprise installed apps. If you want to support the developers, install the original App Store version and make In-App Purchases there.

Q: Which Windows version does Sideloadly support? A: Sideloadly should work on Windows 7, 8, 10 & 11. For the best results, Windows 10 or higher is recommended.

Q: Which macOS version does Sideloadly support? A: Sideloadly should work on macOS 10.12 Sierra and higher. For the best results, macOS Catalina, Big Sur, Monterey, Ventura & higher is recommended.

Q: "Sideloadly" wants access to control "System Events"? A: This access is requested for Sideloadly to be able to automatically launch and close/minimize the macOS Mail app which is required for it to be open when sideloading. You can disallow access to this request, but in doing so you will have to make sure the Mail app is opened when launching Sideloadly.

Q: What information does Sideloadly transmit when connecting to the Anisette server? A: We use our server for Anisette data only. This data is only only transmitted if using the " Remote Anisette " option under Sideloadly's Advanced Options. When using remote anisette, here is the exhaustive list of information our server can see: - Your IP address - Your OS (win32, win64 or macOS) - Sideloadly version.

That's all. We don't share this information with anyone, and it is stored for a limited time for debugging purposes only. Your Apple ID & Password is only sent to Apple servers.

Q: The app/IPA was sideloaded successfully, but no app or icon is appearing on my home screen? A: If this happens to you, please reboot your device as that usually helps.

Q: How do I fix "error ‘machineName’"? A: A few members have reported that changing your computer's name helps. Search for “computer name” or “machine name” from the start menu.

Q: How do I fix "Your maximum App ID limit has been reached. You may create up to 10 App IDs every 7 days."? A: This is a limitation set by Apple on free developer accounts. To fix this, you can either wait a few days and try again, or use another Apple ID to sideload.

Q: How do I fix "This device has reached the maximum number of installed apps using a free developer profile"? A: This is a limitation set by Apple on free developer accounts. If you are using a free Apple Developer account, you can only have 3 sideloaded apps installed on your device at the same time.

Q: How do I fix "Your session has expired. Please log in." or "This action could not be completed due to possible environment mismatch."? A: To resolve this issue, please see this tutorial posted on the Sideloadly subreddit.

Q: How do I fix "Call to lockdownd_client_new_with_handshake failed: LOCKDOWN_E_INVALID_HOST_ID" error? A: Please make sure you have trusted your PC from your device when asked. You can try rebooting your PC while keeping the device plugged in. On latest macOS, open Finder -> Locations -> iDevice -> Trust. Or open iTunes and sync your device.

Q: How do I fix "Call to np_client_new failed: NP_E_CONN_FAILED" error? A: Please make sure you uninstall the Microsoft Store version of iTunes and install the normal/web version ( x64 - x32 ). After that, connect your device and sync it then open Sideloadly.

Q: How do I fix "Call to afc_file_close failed: AFC_E_MUX_ERROR" error? A: Please make sure you uninstall the Microsoft Store version of iTunes and install the normal/web version ( x64 - x32 ). After that, connect your device and sync it then open Sideloadly.

Q: How do I fix "No space left on device" error? A: This error usually means there is no space left on your hard drive on your computer. Please check and make sure there is enough space on your computer for Sideloadly to work.

Q: How do I fix "Failed to check for updates: Could not fetch the daemon" error. A: This error can be resolved by simply running the Sideloadly installer. Please download the latest Sideloadly version from sideloadly.io and install it.

Q: How do I fix "Failed to obtain anisette: 500 INTERNAL SERVER ERROR" A: This is a temporary issue caused by a server error when using the Remote Anisette option. If you are receiving this message, please try again later or use the Local Anisette option under Sideloadly's Advanced Settings.

Q: How do I fix "Invalid argument /path/to/app.ipa" A: This happens when the downloaded .IPA file has been quarantined or deleted by your Antivirus. Or may be in use by another process on your computer.

Q: How do I fix "Sideloadly cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified" on my macOS? A: If you are receiving this message, you will need to head over to System Preferences -> Security & Privacy  and you should have the option to " Open Anyway " for Sideloadly.

Q: How do I fix "The identity used to sign the executable is no longer valid."? A: This message means that the time & date on your computer & iOS device may be incorrect. Please use the correct & current time on your computer and iOS device and try again.

Q: How do I fix "A valid provisioning profile for this executable was not found."? A: We believe this message is also tied to the date & time of your devices. Please use the correct & current time on your computer and iOS device and try again.

Q: How do I fix "DeviceNotSupportedByThinning (Device iPhone/iPadx,y not in Supported Devices list"? A: This message means that the device model you are using is not supported by this .IPA. However, there is a workaround if you enable ' Remove limitation on supported devices ' under advanced options in Sideloadly then retry.

Q: How do I fix "IncorrectArchitecture (Failed to find matching arch for 64-bit Mach-O input file)"? A: This message means that the .IPA file you are attempting to install does not support your device. There is no workaround for this issue.

Q: How do I fix "Installation failed: 0 InstallProhibited"? A: This message means that device you are trying to install the app to is supervised and does not have permission to install new applications. To fix this, go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases > Installing Apps > Allow.

Q: How do I fix "no default case defined"? A: This message usually means that a file inside your .IPA is corrupted, or in an incorrect format. You will need to remove the corrupted file from the IPA before proceeding. In most cases presented to us, the file seems to be /AppName.app/ftm.dylib .

Q: How do I fix "The version of cryptography does not match the loaded shared object. This can happen if you have multiple copies of cryptography installed in your Python path. Please try creating a new virtual environment to resolve this issue."? A: If you are receiving this message, please reinstall Sideloadly from the latest links.

While the highlight of the new Safari is its user interface, it also gains compatibility with more powerful, Mac-like browser extensions. Now that iOS 15 is available to download, there are plenty of extensions hitting the App Store, and we’ve put together a list of some to try out.

Users of 1Password will love the new Safari extension in the latest update. The 1Password extension gives you the ability to see any password right in Safari and fill in password fields with saved ones. The extension can automatically fill in two-factor authentication codes as well. If you’re using an iPad, you will get the entire desktop 1Password experience. The extension will appear in the toolbar for you to access at any time.

The developer behind Apollo for Reddit, Christian Selig, has created a new Safari extension called Amplosion. Amplosion redirects you to the original webpage when you open an AMP link in Safari. The app also lets you keep track of how many times you’ve visited an AMP link and how many times you’ve used Amplosion to avoid one. Amplosion is priced at just $1.99 and if you hate AMP as much as I do it’s well worth it.

Christian has also created an extension that adds an HTML web inspector to Safari. The app is priced at $0.99 and is well worth it – since Apple still hasn’t added its own inspector.

CardPointers

The new CardPointers Safari extension knows what deals you may be able to take advantage of on different shopping websites. CardPointers says that it’s compatible with thousands of websites. While shopping in Safari with the extension enabled, you’ll get a notice telling you which card to use for the best deal as well as any special offers.

Cheep is an app that helps you find deals on Flights. With its latest update, it adds a Safari extension for use with Google Flights. The extension helps determine the cost per mile, distance in miles, and recommends whether or not you should book the flight. Cheep is free.

This app is a simple web inspector that appears to be designed to look familiar to those who frequently use one in Chrome on the Mac. This extension lets you inspect webpages and edit their elements, enter JavaScript commands, view network requests, and more. It’s also entirely free.

The app lets you create blockers, personalize search, and customize the design of webpages. The app can also recommend enhancements to enable to make the extension more powerful.

Language Translator by Mate

Safari already has some translation features built-in but a new app from Gikken called Language Translator can help you take things to the next level. The app’s new Safari extension can automatically translate sites in 40 languages without any work required by the user. You can also select text and get a pop-up window if you want to translate it to another language. The app is pricey though at $29.99 but if you frequently need to translate different sites in a multitude of languages it might be worth the buy.

Vidimote is a new Safari extension that allows you to control video playback from the toolbar. The extension lets you change the speed of videos, jump ahead, switch between PiP and fullscreen, and more. Vidimote is $4.99 and available now.

StopTheMadness

StopTheMadness is a Safari extension that helps you take control of websites you frequently visit. The extensions lets you enable native iOS features like contextual menus, text editing, drag and drop, and autofill. The extension also improves privacy on the web by stopping clickjacking for different services among other things. StopTheMadness is priced at $7.99 on the App Store.

In your work or personal life, you'll sometimes need to download a file on your iPhone or iPad. Using the new feature introduced in iOS 13 and iPadOS 13, you can now do this directly in Safari. No third-party app needed!

Safari's download manager is a hidden new feature in the  iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 updates. If you're going about your day, browsing the web, you probably won't be aware of the feature. Instead, it comes up when you tap on a download link.

Go to a web page and find the link for a file you want to download. When you select it, you'll see a popup with the filename asking if you want to download it. Tap on the "Download" button.

The download will start, and you'll see a new "Downloads" button appear next to the address bar at the top of the browser. Tap on the button to reveal all current downloads. From here, you can monitor the progress of multiple downloads.

If you want to stop a download at any time, simply tap on the "X" button.

Once the download is finished, tap on the file to preview it. If you've downloaded a media file, image, or a PDF, you'll be able to see it in the preview window.

You can then share the file to any app. Tap on the "Share" button from the bottom-left corner.

Press the "Search" icon next to the filename in the Downloads section to open the file.

Once you open the file in the Files app, you can tap and hold on the file to reveal the menu.

From here, tap on "Delete" to delete the file.

By default, the downloaded files are saved to the Downloads folder in iCloud Drive in the Files app. This is a great option if you have a paid iCloud storage plan  because it allows your downloaded files to instantly sync across all your devices.

But if you're on the free, 5GB tier, you might not have space for storing large files.

Thankfully, you can change the default location to local storage. Open the "Settings" app and go to Safari > Downloads. If you can't find the browser on your phone, try using Apple's Spotlight search to locate it.

Here, switch the selection to "On My iPhone" or "On My iPad" depending on your device.

By default, Safari will pick the "Downloads" folder. You can change this by tapping on the "Other" option to select any folder from the local storage (or from a cloud storage option).

The new download manager in Safari is exclusive to iOS 13, iPadOS 13, and above. If you haven't updated to the latest OS (which you should), or if you're in a situation where you can't update, here's a workaround for you.

Try using the free Documents 5 app by Readdle . It's an all-in-one browser and file manager app.

Open the Documents 5 app and tap on the "Browser" button in the bottom-right corner to switch to the browser mode.

Now, navigate to the page with the download link and tap on it. From the next screen, select the folder where you want to download the file and tap on "Done."

The download will now start. You can tap on the "Downloads" tab to view all downloads.

Tap on the "Files" button from the bottom-left corner to switch to the file manager. From here, tap on the "Downloads" folder to see your downloaded file. You can tap on the download to preview it in the app. Tap on the "Menu" button to view options for opening the file in another app.

To much scams…please READ!

So whenever I use this app/ Safari it get these trackers and scammers to get my location and this is making me nervous. I installed ad blocker I think it’s called and I blocked some trackers which made me feel better. Every time you search something you usually get a scam or tracker. I do not like when people track me down. I rarely use this app because of the scams and risks. I think it is an OK app in general because it’s the people making these small BAD websites. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it could use work but it is pretty much like google. I use google way more because I feel like it is much safer than safari. I could be wrong… Safari could use some work with all these BAD websites. Can you block these bad websites? I would love to block these websites cause they are scary. Also watch out for nine anime/ 9anime websites… I searched up 9anime on safari and clicked a link. It looked safe but then these inappropriate pop ups kept coming. I immediately got off. I checked my ‘ How much trackers we have prevented’ or whatever it’s called it said that it had prevented 14 trackers from getting my IP address. This was good and bad news. I’m glad that safari and google can prevent these trackers but it is bad because this is dangerous. BE CAREFUL ON SAFARI!!!

Your Underrated Prince, Safari

In my humble opinion, Safari is the underrated king among multiple web browsers on the market. I was a PC devotee from ‘95 to ‘16, since then, it’s been all Tim Cook 🍎 all the time. My only regret is not purchasing a smartphone back in ‘07 from Steve Jobs. Presently, I own an iPhone 6s Plus in rose gold (2016), iPad Mini (2016), iPad Pro (2019) & MacBook (2018) in rose gold with matching Beats By Dre headphones. All four are set up with Safari, not Chrome, TOR, Brave, Edge, or DDGo. I love the ability to quickly save favorites, add to reading list & share content to other platforms. My favorites are alphabetized for quick reference & the reading list keeps all articles & pages in chronological order for quick recall. Also, I learned Safari quickly because it’s extremely user friendly. The browser helped my navigation of Apple when switching from PC. I’ll admit, learning MacBook isn’t easy, but, Safari keeps things familiar for me on the desktop. When lost, just go back to Safari & start over. It’s surprising no one in tech media mentions Safari more often as a go to source for navigating the internet. Chrome is the reigning king of, Land Of Browsers, without an heir apparent. I nominate Safari as the prince with future king potential. Citizens of Land Of Browsers don’t like their chrome-plated dirty laundry aired, sold or tracked.
I have been using this for years and had no problems with it. I ran over my phone with my lawn mower and was without my phone for over a year due to having to fight with the insurance company. However when I finally got a lawyer involved the insurance company finally replaced it for me. I DID not lose anything and I mean anything. I like the cards better because they are easier to clear out. You have to back everything up to your cloud every day or every other day so that you don’t have to worry about losing anything. As I always make sure that I back everything up just in case. It is not apples fault if you lose your any of your information it is yours for not backing up your phone to your cloud. So most of the people who write bad reviews either don’t back up or they just don’t or they just don’t care. Apple doesn’t charge a lot to add more space to your cloud so there is no reason why you can’t back you things. This is better than anything that google has. By far. If you want your information used by third parties then use google’s and quit complaining. You can change your browser in safari so that you don’t have to use them get with it you bad reviews and learn how to use safari.

5 Ways to Install IPA on iPhone without Jailbreaking in 2024

For most iOS users, Appstore is the only place to download and install apps. Sometimes, you may want to install an old version of an app or apps that are not available in the App Store. In that case, you can install IPA on iPhone or iPad.

In this post, I will show you 5 methods to sideload .ipa on non-jailbroken iPhones or iPads without jailbreaking. Using a PC or Mac is better, but you can also install IPA on iPhone without a PC or Mac.

Install IPA with Apple Configurator on Mac

Since iTunes 12.7, the Apps section is gone in 2021. It seems impossible to load IPA apps from iTunes. Luckily, another app, Configurator 2, from Apple, can help you install the app through IPA files. You follow the steps below to use Configurator to load IPA files onto your iPhone.

Step 1.  Install Apple Configurator 2 on your Mac from the App Store.

Step 2. Connect your device to your Mac via a lightning cable.

Step 3. Open Apple Configurator 2, and select your device.

Step 4. Click on Add button and select the App option.

Step 5. Select Choose from my Mac button and browse to select the .ipa file. In a short while, you can see that the aip has been installed on your iOS device. 

Install IPA to iPhone or iPad with Sideloadly

If your app is not signed correctly, it probably will not work after installing via Configurator. In that case, you can use Sideloadly to sideload .ipa files to your iPhone or iPad. It will automatically sign your app. Sideloadly is available for both Windows and macOS.

Step 1. Download & install Sideloadly on your Windows PC or Mac.

Step 2.  Once Sideloadly is installed, connect your iOS Device to your machine.

Step 3. Drag the IPA file into Sideloadly.

Step 4. Enter your Apple ID email and press “Start”. 

Step 5. Then you will be asked to enter your iTunes/Apple ID password. Go ahead and type your password.

Step 6: Wait for Sideloadly to finish installing the IPA. Once complete, you will now need to go to Settings > General > Profiles & Device Management to Trust the email address you entered in Sideloadly.  

After that, you should be able to go to your Home Screen and open the newly installed app.  Other methods mentioned here may fail, but this one has never failed me once. This works for the latest iOS 16 and iPad with M1, though some apps may require Developer Mode to run.

Install IPA on iPhone with Online IPA Installer

If you don’t want to download anything, you can use this free online web service  Install On Air . This is often used when you want to share your beta apps with others for testing.

You just need to upload your IPA file to the Installonair website and generate a sharable link or QR code. Anyone can click the link or scan the QR code to install the IPA on his or her iOS device. 

Since it is an online service, you can use this iOS IPA installer without a PC. You need to download the IPA file onto your iPhone and then save it to the Files app. Then you can upload it to Installonair from the Files app. 

Install IPA on iPhone Directly without Computer

Another method to load the .ipa file onto iPhone would be using IPA installer shortcut for iOS. The Shortcuts app is for automation for iOS provided by Apple. If your iPhone is running iOS 15 or later versions, you can jump to the steps below. 

If you haven’t used any shortcuts before, you need to open the Shortcuts app and create one. You can drag any action into there and run it once. Then go to Settings > Shortcuts and toggle on Allow Untrusted Shortcuts. You need to go through these steps before you can import any shared shortcuts on iOS 14 or 13.

IPA Installer shortcut

Step 1. Get this  Signed Installer shortcut  (updated for iOS 17) by opening this link in Safari. Any shortcuts outside of the Shortcuts Gallery are considered untrusted, so feel free to add them. 

Step 2. Copy the link to the IPA app file that you want to install. I save the file to iCloud and use the iCloud share link. 

Step 3. Run the shortcut and paste the link when asked. 

Step 4. Then you will be prompted to install the App. Just tap Install to install the IPA.

That’s it. Your app will be installed shortly and you can see the progress on the Home screen. Be aware that this method would not work for unsigned apps.  If you like the Shortcuts app, you can also find more amazing shared shortcuts from here .

Install IPA with iTunes/Finder on Mac

After Apple removed the App section from iTunes, you can still use iTunes to install your iOS App (.ipa file). However, this only works for Developer provisioning but not for Adhoc provisioning.

If your app is developer provisioning, you can locate your device in a Finder/Locations window and drag/drop that .ipa from another window directly into the Finder app. When you see a green + icon, release the file. After that, you can find the app on your phone.

for Adhoc provisioning apps, you can use Xcode. Just open your device information panel in XCode.  Select “Devices and Simulators”, then select my ‘Device’ and drop the .ipa file in the area. 

Bonus: Install IPA with Cydia Impactor

Cydia Impactor now only works for Apple Developer Accounts. If you have an Apple Developer account, you can refer to the steps below to install iOS apps without iTunes.

Step 1: Free download Cydia Impactor from its official website.

Step 2: Open Cydia Impactor. Drag and drop the IPA file onto Cydia Impactor.

Step 3: Then type in your Apple Developer Account ID and password to continue. 

In a short while, your IPA file will be installed on your iPhone or iPad. If needed, you can download multiple IPA files, and install them with Cydia Impactor all at once. 

Conclusion 

It is always recommended to use apps provided by Apple to install IPA on your iOS device. If your app is unsigned, you can only sideload it to your iPhone or iPad with Sideloadly. In addition, you can also use open-source programs like TrollStore, and AltStore to install unsigned IPA onto your iPhone or iPad.

Known issues

  • Extension doesn't work after install or update, doesn't show up in Safari Preferences or wrong version number is displayed — Quit Safari and open again.
  • IFrames are not inverted — Safari has no API to determine the address of the web page, where the IFrame is hosted, when it has a different domain name.
  • On some websites a dialog asking for credentials appears — Dynamic mode loads CSS files and images for analysis, but some websites require authentication to access these resources. Please use Filter mode for such websites.
  • After 1.3.0 update there is too much Sepia — Please, click Settings, then click Theme, scroll down, reduce Sepia from 100% to 0%.
  • macOS Catalina Auto appearance doesn't work correctly — Please, go to General System Preferences, select Light appearance, then switch to Auto again.

How to install AltStore PAL in EU

AltStore PAL

AltStore PAL is a new marketplace allowed by Apple to install third-party apps bypassing the App Store. This platform is available only in the European Union and allows users to download apps from manually added sources. As for now, you can install only the Delta classic video game emulator and Clipy. AltStore PAL can be installed from a direct link on iOS 17.4 and beyond.AltStore PAL marketplace was released for EU. Follow this guide on how to install AltStore PAL on your iPhone running iOS 17.4 or newer.

Highlights:

  • AltStore PAL requires iOS 17.4 or newer and can be installed only in the Europen Union. If you purchase the marketplace in other regions it will not allow you to install.
  • This marketplace is not a sideloading tool for IPA files like advertised. You can't use it to install any IPA file like with the regular AltStore application.
  • To install AltStore PAL you must enable from the Settings app an option to allow marketplaces by 'AltStore, LLC' to be installed from the web.
  • The marketplace by AltStore, LLC offers only two applications for download; Delta and Clip. You can't install other apps even after purchasing the app.
  • AltStore PAL is not a free product. It was introduced as a paid subscription service, requiring an upfront payment for a one-year membership at €1.50 + VAT. The subscription is set to automatically renew after one year.

Anyone can distribute their apps with AltStore . All you need is to make a “source”, which you can do by hosting a text file with basic information about your apps. Users can then enter your source URL in AltStore and your apps will automatically appear. Unfortunately, AltStore PAL doesn't work like regular IPA signing tools and does not allow for the installation of IPA files.

AltStore PAL provides the familiar interface found in the original AltStore app for iOS devices. Unlike its predecessor, AltStore PAL eliminates the need for a computer or jailbreak to operate on your device, offering a seamless experience. Moreover, it exclusively utilizes Safari for installation, compatible with iOS 17.4 and newer versions within the EU. AltStore PAL introduces a convenient one-year subscription model priced at €1.50 + VAT.

Installing AltStore PAL on iPhone

Step 1. Open the purchase page of AltStore PAL in Safari browser. The subscription payment is provided by Stripe service used in the EU.

Step 2. Provide your credit card or debit card information for purchase. Alternatively, use Apple Pay to finalize the payment.

Step 3. Tap on the 'Download' button from the Safari browser to install AltStore PAL.

Step 4. A 'Marketplace Installation' prompt will appear. Tap on OK and continue.

The screen shows two different webpages, separated by an adjustable divider. At the top of each webpage is the icon for the Multitasking Controls.

Open a link in Split View: Touch and hold the link, then tap Open in New Window.

Leave Split View: Drag the divider over the window you want to close.

Preview website links

Touch and hold a link in Safari to see a preview of the link without opening the page. To open the link, tap the preview, or tap Open.

To close the preview and stay on the current page, tap anywhere outside the preview.

Translate a webpage

When you view a webpage that’s in another language, you can use Safari to translate it (not available in all languages or regions).
