Tashkent international tourism fair “tourism on the silk road” titf-2023.

From November 15 to 17, 2023, Tashkent will host the 28th Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road” TITF 2023. The organizers of the fair are the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the State Unitary Enterprise “National PR-Centre”, the company “Team & Co Group”. The pavilion of the National Exhibition Complex “UzExpoCentre” has traditionally been chosen as the venue of the fair.

The Tashkent International Tourism Fair is the largest informational event promoting tourism products and establishing business contacts and communication for cooperation. TITF has been held since 1995 with the support of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). Annually, the exhibition gathers hundreds of professionals from the tourism industry and creates the best conditions for the development of this industry at an international level.

Last year, after a 2-year pause, the grandiose return of TITF-2022 took place. For the first time in the history of TITF, the Tashkent International Tourism Fair was organized in the form of a public-private partnership without attracting budget funds.  During three days, from November 30 to December 2, the fair was visited by more than 11,000 people. Also, according to the results of TITF-2022, representatives of 300 companies took part in the fair, where 7000 contracts were signed. The initiators of the fair were the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State Unitary Enterprise “National PR-Centre”.

This year the fair will bring together experts of the tourism business from all over the world and, in many ways, it will be useful to all representatives of this sphere: employees of leading travel and transport companies, major hotel chains, diplomatic corps, educational institutions in the field of tourism, as well as representatives of MICE tourism.

An international forum with the participation of leading international and domestic experts in the field of tourism will be held in the business part of TITF-2023. B2B meetings, round tables, exhibitions of tourist services and handicrafts, presentations of regions of Uzbekistan with tourist potential, a fashion show with famous international and national designers, a gastro-bazaar with the participation of domestic and international chefs are also planned.

It is also necessary to note the significant support of TITF from the state. Thus, under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a video conference was held on September 19, 2022, dedicated to measures to further increase the potential of domestic and inbound tourism. In addition, in November 2019, a Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to organize the annual Tashkent International Tourism Fair” Tourism on the Silk Road” was adopted. All this determined the positive dynamics of the development of the international tourism fair.

THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE 28TH TASHKENT INTERNATIONAL TOURISM FAIR.

On November 15, 2023, the opening ceremony of the 28th Tashkent International Tourism Fair, "Tourism on the Silk Road", was held in the National Exhibition Complex "Uzexpocenter" in Tashkent. MDIS Tashkent team takes part in this event in cooperation with the Khokimiyat of the Tashkent region. Bochures and the ccataloguesrelated to the field of tourism and hospitality developed by the Business and Tourism Development Centre are presented at the fair, as well as scientific publications and handouts demonstrating the tourism perspectives of the region. This international tourism fair is considered to be one of the largest international tourism fairs in Central Asia. It is held for the 28th time this year and lasts for three days.

TITF participants will include representatives of such large organizations as the Georgian Department of Tourism, the National Tourism Administration of the Czech Republic, the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan, the State Tourism Organization of Korea, the Tourism Office of the Kingdom of Thailand, the Malaysian Tourism Promotion Council, the Regional Tourism Committees of Russia and the National Singapore Travel Agents Association.

The business part of TITF-2023 will host an International Forum and sessions with the participation of leading international and domestic specialists in the field of tourism. Also planned are B2B meetings between representatives of private companies from different countries, round tables, exhibitions of tourism services and handicrafts, presentations of regions of Uzbekistan with tourism potential, a gastro-bazaar with the participation of domestic and international chefs.

Famous experts in the field of tourism have been invited to the TITF-2023 Forum. Among them: heads of state tourism organizations, representatives of the business community, travel companies, airlines, insurance companies, hotels, tourist complexes, firms, ambassadors of the tourism brand of Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of international media (BBC World News, Lonely Planet and a lot others).

This year, up to 15 thousand visitors from the local population and from the CIS countries, Asia and Europe are expected to attend the TITF-2023 site. Visitors and participants of the fair will be able to take advantage of a unique chance to learn about new tourist destinations and immerse themselves in the colorful atmosphere, culture and traditions of foreign countries. From November 15 to 17, 2023, the 28th International Tourism Fair TITF “Tourism on the Silk Road” will take place in Tashkent. The event is organized by the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in collaboration with the Tourism Committee, the state enterprise “National PR Center,” and the company “Team & Co Group.”

Uzbekistan Airways JSC will serve as the General Partner for TITF-2023. Traditionally, the National Exhibition Complex “Uzexpocentre” will be the venue for this prestigious fair.

The TITF, an annual tourism exhibition since 1995, is conducted with the support of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). The fair attracts hundreds of tourism industry professionals from around the world each year, promoting the international marketing of Uzbekistan’s tourism offerings and services.

After a two-year hiatus, TITF-2022 successfully returned last year. The organizers aim to build on the success of 2022 and expect professionals from the global tourism industry to attend this year.

TITF-2023 Kicks off in Tashkent

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Today, an opening of the 28th Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road” TITF-2023 took place at the National Exhibition Complex “Uzexpocenter”.

The organizers of the fair are the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Committee of Tourism, the State Unitary Enterprise “National PR Center”, the company “Team & Co Group”.

The general partner of TITF-2023 was Uzbekistan Airways JSC. The pavilion of the National Exhibition Complex “Uzexpocenter” has traditionally been chosen as the venue for the fair.

At the opening of TITF-2023, speeches were made by the Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan Umid Shadiev, the First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airways JSC – Umid Khusanov, the President of the Fund for Support of Tourism Development in the Kyrgyz Republic – Abylkasym Sherniyazov, the Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Kenan Guluzade , as well as more than 1,500 fair participants, both local and international organizations and media representatives.

As part of this fair, a tourism exhibition is taking place, where 20 foreign countries (including the Czech Republic, Malaysia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Thailand, Russia and others), 14 regions of Uzbekistan, private travel companies, a network of international hotels and inns, airlines, leading travel and transport companies, online booking systems.

There is also a gastrobazaar with the participation of famous chefs, important sessions on various topics with the participation of leading international and domestic experts in the field of tourism, such as BBC World News, Lonely Planet and many others, and B2B meetings between representatives of private companies from different countries, round tables, exhibitions of tourism services and handicrafts.

15 foreign and more than 50 local travel companies that are engaged in sending tourists abroad have also been invited to TITF-2023 (hosted buyers program – professional buyers).

This year the fair will bring together tourism business experts from all over the world and, in many ways, it will be useful to all representatives of this field: representatives of the business community, employees of leading travel companies, largest hotel chains, diplomatic corps, educational institutions in the field of tourism, insurance companies, and also representatives of MICE tourism.

Visitors and participants of the fair will be able to take advantage of a unique chance to learn about new tourist destinations and immerse themselves in the colorful atmosphere, culture and traditions of foreign countries. And also, it will be possible to assess the tourism potential of new locations in all regions of Uzbekistan.

In 2023, the list of organizations providing partner support for TITF-2023 has expanded significantly. The financial partner of TITF-2023 was Asia Alliance Bank, information partners were Dunyo bo’ylab and Profi travel, and other local and foreign media and companies. Along with local partners, the organizers of TITF-2023 managed to reach an agreement with the Moscow Tourism Committee – Discover Moscow, which is a partner of the evening reception and eco-bags of the 28th Tashkent International Travel Fair.

TITF-2023 will become the brightest international event in the field of tourism of Uzbekistan and all of Central Asia, which unites common efforts to support the tourism industry in the region and will expand the geography of international cooperation in the field of tourism.

Today, November 23, a press conference dedicated to the 27th Tashkent International Tourism Fair "Tourism on the Silk Road" 2022 was held in the building of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The press conference was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Aziz Abdukhakimov, Director of the "National PR-Centre" under the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Dilfuza Samandarova, Executive General Director of the company "THE SAYS LOT" Rustam Munasipov, Director of the consulting company "Mangold Consulting GmbH" Mangold Klaus, representatives of local and foreign media and other officials.

“TITF-2022 is an annual tourism event that has been held since 1995 with the support of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). At the press conference, the director of the National PR Center informed the journalists about the program and the differences in the format of the Fair from previous years.

This year, up to 20,000 visitors from the local population, from the CIS countries and Europe, are expected to attend the TITF-2022 site. Visitors and participants of the fair will have a unique chance to learn about new tourist destinations, plunge into the colorful atmosphere, culture and traditions of foreign countries. And also, it will be possible to assess the tourism potential of new locations in all regions of Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan is becoming an international platform for establishing contacts with the whole world and TITF-2022 is proof of this. It should be noted that this is due to the active support of tourism by the country's leadership. Thus, on September 19, 2022, under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a videoconference was held on measures to further increase the potential of domestic and inbound tourism. At this meeting, with the participation of relevant departments, the state of tourism in the regions was analyzed, huge opportunities were demonstrated and tasks were set for their use.

“This return is unique in that this year, for the first time in history, we are holding this fair in the form of a public-private partnership without attracting budgetary funds,” said the director of the National PR-centre.

Eminent specialists in the field of tourism have been invited to the TITF-2022 Forum. Among them: ambassadors of the tourism brand of Uzbekistan, representatives of BBC World News, Lonely Planet, Associations of Tourism Organizations of Central Asian countries and Russia, PR specialists and many others. At the same time, many B2B meetings between representatives of private companies from different countries are already planned for this year.

From November 30 to December 2, Tashkent will host the 27th Tashkent International Tourism Fair "Tourism on the Silk Road" (hereinafter referred to as TITF 2022). The organizers of the fair are the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the State Unitary Enterprise "National PR-Centre", the exhibition company "SAYS" represented by "THE SAYS LOT" LLC.
