Thailand Tourist Police launches ‘I Lert U’ mobile app for 24-hour assistance

The app is linked to the tourist police 1155 emergency response centre..

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) would like to inform tourists they can download the ‘Tourist Police I Lert U’ mobile application, to enjoy peace of mind throughout their travels in Thailand.

Downloadable for free at Google Play for Android phones and App Store for iOS phones, the I Lert U application is available in English and Thai. The app is linked to the Tourist Police 1155 Emergency Response Centre, where there are also interpreters and translators ready to provide tourist assistance in other languages.

Tourists requiring help at any time 24 hours around the clock can use the application to contact the Tourist Police, who will dispatch officers to the scene immediately. Tourists can also take a photo of an incident and upload via the app to require assistance.

The Tourist Police is a division of the Royal Thai Police, and is dedicated to the safety and well-being of tourists in Thailand. With over 1,900 officers, the Tourist Police operates throughout the kingdom, including in all the major tourist destinations like Bangkok, Phuket, Samui, and Chiang Mai.

The Royal Thai Government places the highest priority on the safety and well-being of every visitor to Thailand. And as the main government agency responsible for the promotion and marketing of Thailand as a preferred destination, TAT is working closely with all the concerned public and private organisations to ensure the utmost efforts to prevent any unfortunate incidents occurring on tourists and the local Thai people.

การจัดอมรมนักเรียนโรงเรียนบ้านบ่อผุดโครงการชุมชนท่องเที่ยวเข้มแข็ง.

วันที่ 8 มีนาคม 2567 เวลา 13.00 น. พ.ต.ต.วินิจ บุญชิต สว.ส.ทท.5 กก.2 บก.ทท.3 (เกาะสมุย) พร้อมด้วย จนท.ตร. ส.ทท.5ฯ ได้จัดการอมรมนักเรียน โรงเรียนบ้านบ่อผุด นักเรียนประถมปีที่ 4-6 จำนวน 300 คน โดยโรงเรียนแห่งนี้เป็นโรงเรียนที่ตั้งอยู่ติดกับพื้นที่โครงการท่องเที่ยวเข้มแข็ง fisherman village นักเรียนเกือบทั้งหมดเป็นบุตร หลาน คนในชุมชนฯ ทั้งนี้เพื่อเป็นการขยายเครือข่ายฯ ไปยังสถานศึกษาที่อยู่บริเวณโดยรอบโครงการฯ ในการสร้างความเข้าใจในการดูแล นทท. และการเป็นเจ้าบ้านที่ดีในการต้อนรับให้กับนักท่องเที่ยว แก่ นักเรียน นักศึกษา

     เจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจท่องเที่ยวเกาะสมุย  ประชาสัมพันธ์แจ้งเตือนแก่นักท่องเที่ยว เกี่ยวกับการลงเล่นน้ำทะเล ในช่วงมรสุม คลื่นลมแรง สภาพอากาศไม่เอื้ออำนวย โดยห้ามฝ่าฝืนธงแดง (แดง) เพื่อความปลอดภัยแก่นักท่องเที่ยว

ฝึกอบรมพนักงานร้านสะดวกซื้อ

วันที่ 27 ก.พ. 67 เวลาประมาณ 09.00-12.00 น. 

                        พ.ต.ต.วินิจ บุญชิต สว.ส.ทท.5 กก.2 บก.ทท.3 (เกาะสมุย) พร้อมด้วย นางกนกกฤติกา กฤตย์วุฒิกร ผอ.ททท. สำนักงานเกาะสมุย  นางกฤษณา พรหมเกาะ ราษฎรอาวุโส ชมรมบริหารบุคคลสมุย ข้ารราชการตำรวจ ส.ทท.5ฯ                            ได้ร่วมกันฝึกอบรมพนักงานร้านสะดวกซื้อ ที่อยู่ในภายในและพื้นที่โดยรอบของชุมชนท่องเที่ยวเข้มแข็ง fisherman village และผู้ประกอบการ ร้านค้าฯ ภายในชุมชนฯ ณ ห้องประชุม ส.ทท.5 กก.2 บก.ทท.3 โดยมีเนื้อหาในการฝึกอบรม เพื่อให้ทราบถึงบทบาทความสำคัญขอการเป็นภาคีเครือข่ายฯ, การเป็นเจ้าบ้านที่ดี เพื่อเสริมสร้างภาพลักษณ์ และความมั่นใจในการเดินทางเข้ามาท่องเที่ยวการจดจำตำหนิรูปพรรณและการแจ้งเหตุ เพื่อให้สามารถแจ้งเหตุได้ทันท่วงที จำนวน 32 คน ดังนี้

1.พนักงานร้านสะดวกซื้อ 7eleven จำนวน 18 คน 

2.พนักงานร้านสะดวกซื้อ Top daily จำนวน 2 คน

3.ผู้ประกอบการ และ พนักงานร้านค้า จำนวน 10 คน

New Building Inauguration for Koh Samui Tourist Police Station

Opening Ceremony and Attendees

The Koh Samui Municipality participated in the opening ceremony of the new building for the Koh Samui Tourist Police Station on September 19, 2023. The event took place at 9:00 am at the Tourist Police Station 5, Division 2, Tourist Police Command 3, located in the Bo Phut Subdistrict, Koh Samui District. Mr. Sutham Samthong, the Deputy Mayor of Koh Samui, attended on behalf of the Mayor of Koh Samui.

The ceremony attracted a variety of attendees, including local government officials, municipal employees, and Koh Samui Tourist Police Station personnel. Representatives from public and private sector organizations, media personnel, and distinguished guests were also present.

Police Colonel Sukhun Prommayon, the commander of the Tourist Police, presided over the ceremony to inaugurate the new office building.

Ceremonial Activities and Blessings

The opening ceremony featured several traditional and symbolic activities to bless the new building and ensure good fortune. The program began with the worship of a Buddha image, followed by the unveiling of the building sign, which had been covered with a cloth. Monks from the local temple then took part in unveiling a large sign at the front of the building.

To further bless the new facility, holy water was sprinkled on the Buddha image inside the building. Finally, attendees witnessed the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the “Prommayon” conference room, located on the 2nd floor of the building, signifying an auspicious beginning for the new police station.

Role of the Koh Samui Tourist Police Station

The Koh Samui Tourist Police Station serves an important role in maintaining safety and security for both locals and tourists visiting the popular island destination. By opening this new facility, the station aims to enhance its ability to address the needs of the community and provide a welcoming environment for visiting tourists. The building’s inauguration marks an essential development in the continuing efforts to promote tourism and uphold safety in the Koh Samui region.
