Comedian Bill Burr has a lot of film projects in the works.

Over the next year, you can expect to see him in the animated kids’ movie “Leo,” the drama “Hate To See You Go,” the crime caper “Drugstore June” and his directorial debut “Old Dads.”

Before that though, you can catch him live on the road .

The foul-mouthed, honest to a fault, no-holds-barred comic is embarking on a 25-show tour from June 23 through Nov. 17 this year.

That includes huge shows at Newark, NJ’s Prudential Center on June 24, Atlantic City, NJ’s Etess Arena at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ on July 7 and July 8 and finally Syracuse, NY’s Upstate Medical University Arena at Oncenter on Oct. 3.

I saw Ol' Freckles live for the first time in Budapest and it was incredible. In the first 15-20 minutes I thought maybe my expectations were too high, because it started a bit slow, with the same topics he talks about in the podcast. But then he switched gears and he murdered. He has at least two very funny, multiple-layers, perfectly acted bits that made me cry of laughter. He was in his best form, I think funnier than Walk Your Way Out.

Billy boy was fantastic as expected. It was overwhelmingly new material and he had me laughing the whole hour and a half.

It was also pretty funny when he was (justifiably) making fun of the venue for basically being a warehouse (Tonhalle Munich).

Massachusetts native and comedian, Bill Burr, will be returning to his home state in August for a show at the Mass Mutual Center on the 12th.

The presale for tickets was on Wednesday, March 8 and Thursday, March, 9 and the general sale was on Friday, March 10. Fans looking to see the comedian on his tour can shop around for tickets on resale ticket vendor websites like VividSeats , StubHub and SeatGeek .

An Emmy and Grammy nominated comedian, Bill Burr is one of the top comedic voices of his generation achieving success in TV and film as well as on stage.  Bill’s Monday Morning Podcast is one of the most downloaded comedy podcasts, his 2023 arena and amphitheater tour, Bill Burr Live , is touring across Europe and North America and on August 21, 2022, Bill made history as the first comedian to perform at Fenway Park.

On October 20, Bill’s film, Old Dads , will premiere on Netflix.  Bill directed, co-wrote and stars in the film alongside Bobby Cannavale and Bokeem Woodbine.  And on November 21, Bill will voice a lead role in Adam Sandler’s animated Netflix film, Leo . 

In 2022, Bill premiered the Netflix special, Bill Burr: Live At Red Rocks , which was shot in October 2021 at the legendary venue, and he hosted the Netflix special, Bill Burr Presents: Friends Who Kill .

Bill was nominated for a 2020 Grammy Award for his album, Bill Burr: Paper Tiger , and he was nominated for a 2022 Emmy Award for Outstanding Actor In A Short Form Comedy Or Drama Series for his Roku Channel series, Bill Burr Presents: Immoral Compass , which is free to stream online.  His animated Netflix series, F Is For Family , stars Bill, Laura Dern, Justin Long and Sam Rockwell in the cast and premiered its fifth and final season on Thanksgiving Day, 2021.

A limited number of accessible parking spaces  are available on Bruce Landon Way and Dwight Street on a first-come, first-served basis.  You will be required to show your accessible vehicle hang tag or have the accessbile plate on your vehicle in order to gain access to these spaces.

Should these locations reach full capacity by your time of arrival to the MassMutual Center and you still require accessible parking, city street accessible spaces will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Security Procedures

Anyone seen using a device (phone, smart watch or accessories) during the performance will be escorted out of the venue.

Please note that the arena will be using the following security procedures for all events at the arena. Please plan accordingly.

• Walk thru metal detectors at all entrances of the facility; all patrons will walk through a metal detector prior to gaining access to the arena. If needed, security will perform pat downs on patrons in addition to the metal detectors
• Patron bags will be searched and tagged once allowed into the arena
• Bags larger than 9" x 12"x 4" will not be permitted into the arena, this includes backpacks
• Camera policy is set by the show, best practice suggests no cameras for events
• No weapons of any kind will be permitted into the arena
• No outside food or beverage will be permitted into the arena
• We are a cashless facility! All points of sale within the venue are no longer accepting cash. Please be prepared to pay with your credit card, debit card or mobile pay. Thank you!
• The Arena is a no smoking facility, there is no designated smoking area

We encourage you to plan accordingly for traffic in the City, parking and long lines when entering the arena.

An Emmy and Grammy nominated comedian, Bill Burr is one of the top comedic voices of his generation achieving success in TV and film as well as on stage.  Bill’s Monday Morning Podcast is one of the most downloaded comedy podcasts, his arena and amphitheater tour, Bill Burr (Slight Return) , toured across North America throughout 2022 and on August 21, Bill made history as the first comedian to perform at Fenway Park.

Bill will voice a starring role in Adam Sandler’s animated Netflix film, Leo , premiering November 22.  Miramax and Bill’s All Things Comedy are producing the film, Old Dads , which Bill co-wrote, is directing and will star in alongside Bobby Cannavale and Bokeem Woodbine.

In 2022, Bill premiered the Netflix special, Bill Burr: Live At Red Rocks , which was shot in October 2021 at the legendary venue, and he hosted the Netflix special, Bill Burr Presents: Friends Who Kill .

Bags will not be permitted at entry to Total Mortgage Arena, except for bags used exclusively for medical equipment or diaper bags for the care or infants and toddlers. Guests will still be permitted to bring a clutch purse into Total Mortgage Arena, provided they are 8” x 5” x 1” or smaller. There is no check-in location for prohibited bags or items at the Arena.

Phone-Free Experience

This event will be a phone-free experience. Use of phones, smart watches and accessories, will not be permitted in the performance space.

Upon arrival at the venue, all phones, smart watches and accessories will be secured in individual Yondr pouches that will be opened at the end of the event. Guests maintain possession of their devices  at all times, and can access them throughout the event only in designated Phone Use Areas within the venue. All devices will be re-secured in Yondr pouches before returning to the performance space.

We now use a cashless experience for all box office, food, beverage, parking and retail purchases. Bring a debit or credit card for purchases. 

Parking in the surface lots can be purchased ahead of time via Parkwhiz or on the day of the event.  Parking on event day in the surface lots are credit card only.

Starting Friday, June 9th, Bill Burr tickets will be available for pick up at will call. We will have extended box office hours, including June 23rd. A valid photo id will be required to claim your tickets. 

The box office will be open from 10am to 4pm on the following days:

• Nursing Mothers Room:  Our Mothers Rooms are located at Section 2 and Section 119.
• Sensory Room:  For a safe, calm environment, head to our Sensory Room at Section 119. 
• Sensory Bags:  Sensory bags and weighted lap pads are available upon request from our Guest Services desks at Section 2, Section 119, and Sections 206/207.
• Strollers: We encourage guests to travel lightly, however, strollers will be accomodated and stored near the ticket holder's seat.
