3 Day Loch Ness & Skye

I just got back from the most bonkers tour of the Scottish Highlands with the MacBackpackers, and let me tell you, it was an absolute riot from start to finish! Our guide, Branca, is like a walking encyclopedia of all things Highlands - except instead of boring you to tears, she keeps you in stitches with her wicked sense of humor, endless supply of wild stories, and wild playlists (unmentioned pirate songs). The tour itself is a wild ride through some of the most jaw-droppingly beautiful countryside I've ever seen. So if you're looking for a Scottish adventure that's equal parts educational and downright hilarious, do yourself a favor and book a tour with the MacBackpackers. Just make sure to bring your best jokes - Branca will definitely try to one-up you at every turn!

3 Day Isle of Skye

We had a great time with Neale on our three day tour of isle of skye! Very good storyteller and entertaining. Highlight was the old man of storr hike.

Bonnie Scotland

Rosanne was an amazing tour guide. She was so animated and filled with advanced history knowledge. There was never a dull moment with Rosanne and she made it a wonderful experience. I wished we stopped off in Loch Ness longer.

Country Roads of Scotland (Classic, 9 Days)

The tour by Insight Vacations, Country Roads of Scotland, surpassed our expectations. Hosts at hotels did everything to ensure a smooth and quick check-in and a comfortable stay (knowing in advance that the rooms might be smaller than some travelers are used to was helpful). The food was good overall with lots of choices and variety. The coach was very roomy, lots of space and very comfortable. Peter (tour director) and Steve (driver) worked together as a great team and were always available to assist, answer questions or provide insights.

Scottish Royal

The tour guide, Linda, was great as was the coach driver, Mike. The coach was very comfortable and the sites we visited were great. The tour was well organized and well executed. The meals were very good as well. The only thing making this “good” and not “excellent” is that I had to sleep on a pullout couch for three nights of the tour which much surprised me for something billed as a first class tour. So if you plan to go three to a room, be prepared for someone to be on a couch.

4 Day Islay Whisky Tour

Great fun. Our guide was knowledgeable, entertaining and very helpful. One felt that both he and Scottish Routes were well regarded by the various distilleries that we went to.

3-Day Orkney Explorer Small-Group Small-Group Tour from Inverness

Excellent tour and fantastic guide James. Had quite a bit of fun and the relaxed atmosphere provided a chance for the tour group to get to know one another. Will definately book a Rabbie's tour again!!

Isle Of Skye And The Highlands

Our tour guide Cara was great! She's a true Scott and very knowledgeable when it comes to the landscape and history. Skye Inn accommodation was okay but room was too small for three people. Also dinner portions are far too small for the price paid. We were disappointed that our afternoon ride on the Jakobite steam train was cancelled- if the tour was scheduled in the morning instead, we could have had the tour.

Scottish Highlands & Islands

Guide Margerie and Driver Allister excellent. The tour occasionally strenuous; bus rides whole day. Bus quite confortable; Wi-Fi appreciated. Expected more meals included. Big Tour group - 44 Pax - a bit too many for my taste. When I inquired I was told max will be 35.....for me more acceptable. Hotel's fine except Isle of Skye: "Dunollie"- I had a claustrophobic room; no idea where to put my suitcase. After all the add. single room supplement is not little. Itinerary very interesting.

Loch Ness, Inverness & The Highlands - from Edinburgh

Pick this tour!!!! Seeing the highlands was a dream come true, and Branka was the most incredible and hilarious guide. She made the trip so so special with her knowledge of the area and folklore and her talent for storytelling. Even when we got delayed due to a closed road we were having a great time and all the other tour busses looked *miserable*.
