Guide to Club Level or Concierge Lounges at Disney World

disney tourist blog club level

Is Club Level at Walt Disney World worth the money? This guide answers that, with reviews of the best concierge lounges in hotels, VIP services, pros & cons, and more. We also have an update on Club Level, and what the experience is like now. ( Updated December 28, 2023 .)

Without question, the biggest benefit of Club Level at Walt Disney World is the lounges. We used to have mixed thoughts on these, but have endeavored to stay at every Club Level resort as our recent experiences have been much more favorable. It seems Disney is stepping up its game to better compete with real world luxury hotels. Here are our Club Level Lounge reviews thus far–click each to see lounge & food photos, plus full commentary about each:

  • Atrium Club Level in Disney’s Contemporary Resort
  • Chronos Club Level in Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs Resort
  • Kilimanjaro Club Level in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
  • King Kamehameha Club Level in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
  • Old Faithful Club Level in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
  • Stone Harbor Club Level in Disney’s Beach Club Resort

These Club Level Lounges each serve coffee, continental breakfast, light afternoon snacks, hors d’oeuvres at dinner time, and dessert & cordials late at night. In our opinion, the lounge is the main reason to book a Club Level resort stay at Walt Disney World, with the food quality and lounge atmosphere being the most important factors to consider. We cover these things in meticulous detail in each of our reviews.

In terms of basics, all Deluxe Resorts at Walt Disney World have at least one Club Level offering. Disney’s Contemporary Resort has 2, but they’re essentially (in our view) interchangeable. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort also used to have two, but that’s no longer the case. It remains to be seen whether that changes again in 2024 once the resort reimagining is finished. We suspect not.

Disney Villa Resorts, more colloquially known as Disney Vacation Club Resorts, do not have Club Levels. However, most Deluxe Villas are also Deluxe Resorts–examples of this would be the Boulder Ridge Villas or Copper Creek Villas (Deluxe Villas, as the names suggest) at Wilderness Lodge (Deluxe Resort). The only exceptions to this are Disney’s Riviera Resort, Saratoga Springs, and Old Key West.

Finally, none of the Value Resorts have Club Level; only one of the Moderate Resorts have a Club Level, Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs Resort. Because it’s at a Moderate Resort, Chronos Club at Gran Destino is the cheapest Club Level offering at Walt Disney World.

Confused yet? All you really need to know is that in addition to the above list of Club Levels, there’s also the following that we have not yet reviewed:

  • Innkeeper’s Club at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
  • Tower Club at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
  • Royal Palm Club at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort
  • Regatta Club at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

One of the first things to understand about Club Level at Walt Disney World is that it’s not the same as concierge or executive levels at upper echelon chained-brand hotels. If you’re accustomed to the treatment you receive at Park Hyatt, Conrad, Four Seasons, or other real-world luxury hotels that are comparably priced to Disney Deluxes, you’re in for disappointment.

Those brands are renowned for unparalleled attention to detail, guest service, anticipating needs, and going above and beyond to deliver a superlative stay. They’ll book difficult dining reservations, assist with planning, and help make the experience memorable and stress-free. There are myriad ways this is accomplished at real-world hotels, but the salient point is that if you’re expecting Four Seasons or Park Hyatt concierge quality from Disney… don’t .

You really need to use a third-party Authorized Disney Vacation Planner for that type of service and even then, it’s not the same since they’re third party intermediaries. Here’s the Authorized Disney Vacation Planner that we recommend!

disney tourist blog club level

For Club Level stays at Walt Disney World, you will  usually  receive an email from Concierge Resort Cast Members prior to your trip to introduce themselves and assist with an itinerary. Whether you actually receive this correspondence is hit or miss, and it’s often sent out after dining and other reservation windows have already opened–and the most coveted options are booked up.

If you want or need this type of concierge planning assistance, relying upon the Concierge Resort Cast Members at Walt Disney World would not be our recommended course of action. At best, they’re going to spend a couple of hours providing boilerplate advice and perhaps reserve you whatever’s readily available in terms of ADRs at their convenience. They can also help a bit upon arrival at the in-person desk, but by then, it’s usually too late. (These Cast Members do not  have priority access to dining reservations or anything else.)

In short, Club Level is not about superlative service or planning prowess at Walt Disney World. To be sure, there are great, long-tenured Cast Members working at the Club Level Lounges. We’ve generally found them to be personable; if you’re looking for friendly faces to greet you in the Club Level Lounges, they are perfect.

disney tourist blog club level

The lounges are really where Club Level shines at Walt Disney World, and are the primary selling point of booking Club Level. You’ll get the most bang for your buck out of the stay if you make a point of eating multiple meals per day in the lounge. Most people will take advantage of continental breakfast, but not lunch, dinner, or late night desserts.

Breakfast is almost exclusively cold items, plus oatmeal and maybe one other hot dish. If you’re lucky, you’ll find some nice meats and cheeses that can be made into a sandwich for something substantive. Maybe an exclusive/unique item or two. It’s enough to fill you up and get you through until lunch, but it’s not exactly a luxurious spread.

The light afternoon snacks are exactly that–usually chips, hummus and pita, a variety of vegetables, and various other random things. This definitely should not be considered lunch, as there’s almost no way to make a meal of this service at any of the Club Level Lounges at Walt Disney World.

disney tourist blog club level

As a general rule, the evening hors d’oeuvres are the best offering, with numerous small plate dishes that are typically prepared by chefs from Signature Restaurants (Disney’s term for fine dining) located at the resort. These tend to be very good to great, and despite being ‘small plates’ and Disney deliberately avoiding the term dinner to describe this service, you could easily make a meal of them.

The quality of this service varies from resort to resort, but across the board, we think it has improved in the last couple of years. In fact, elevated hors d’oeuvres quality is one of the big reasons we’ve started revisiting all of the Club Level Lounges. If you can take advantage of breakfast (which should be a given) and dinner plus dessert service most nights of your stay, Club Level can be much easier to justify from a value for money perspective.

In addition to access to the Club Lounge, guests staying at each Club Level have access to the Concierge Resort Cast Members between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. These Cast Members are found at desks outside of the lounge or nearby, and can assist with tickets, dining, recreation, transportation, child care, and daily itinerary planning.

These Cast Members cannot get you into restaurants that are fully booked, or score Lightning Lane access for attractions that have run out of their daily allotment. However, if you call or text a Concierge Resort Cast Member while you’re in the parks and ask for help booking an ADR, they might just be able to work some magic. (No promises on that.)

disney tourist blog club level

When it comes to what Signature Services does not do, Walt Disney World no longer offers enhanced VIP services for Club Level guests for $50 per person per day. With paid Genie+ replacing free FastPass, it is no longer possible to buy 3 extra FastPass+ entitlements when staying Club Level.

At present, there is no comparable service offered for Genie+ or Lightning Lanes when staying Club Level. That could change, but we’re skeptical given the fundamental differences between FastPass and Genie. In any case, everything you need to know, including ride priorities, strategy for avoiding pitfalls, maximizing your time saved & ride count, and much more is covered in our Guide to Genie+ and Lightning Lanes at Walt Disney World .

We  do  expect this to change sometime soon, as advance-booking is coming for Lightning Lanes in Spring 2024. Our guess is that Club Level guests won’t immediately have access to purchase extra Lightning Lane selections, but we’d still expect that to happen at some point in 2024. We’ll keep you posted.

disney tourist blog club level

Objectively, the cost of staying Club Level ranges from around +$120/night to +$375/night depending on the resort, room tier, and season. For a general rule, the more expensive the hotel and room category, the greater the added cost. However, this isn’t always true.

For instance, adding Club Level at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa would “only” be an additional $228 on New Year’s Eve. That’s Walt Disney World’s most expensive hotel on its most expensive night of the year. The surcharge for Wilderness Lodge on that same night would be $274.

This is further complicated by discounts, which can change the gap depending upon what’s excluded, available, and so forth. You rely shouldn’t rely on a resource for this to determine the price difference. You’ll see for yourself when you actually price out a room for your travel dates and can see the Club Level cost versus that of other available rooms.

disney tourist blog club level

With that said, the premium for staying in Chronos Club at Gran Destino is always the lowest. It can be less than $100 extra for many nights after discounts. Again, this is because Chronos Club is at a Moderate Resort, so the baseline price is lower to begin with.

Despite this, we view Chronos Club as one of the best Club Levels in all of Walt Disney World. Like Gran Destino Tower as a whole, it punches far above its weight, and offers tremendous bang for buck. In fact, if your only consideration is value for money, you can stop right here: Chronos Club is the clear winner, and the competition isn’t even close.

Assuming you cram 4 adults in the Club Level room–because nothing says posh hotel stay like 4 adults in one hotel room–you’re looking at around $25 to $50 per person per night for Club Level. If you do two meals per day (breakfast and dinner) in the Club Level Lounge, or even just breakfast plus dessert and a couple of beers when you return from the park, you’re already getting your money’s worth on the lower end of the pricing premium spectrum.

However, I am guessing that your only consideration is not  value for money…or you probably wouldn’t be looking at Club Level in the first place. (But if you are that rare guest looking to splurge on Club Level while squeezing as much value out of it as possible, look no further–Chronos Club is the one for you!)

disney tourist blog club level

It should go without saying, but the larger your party and the more meals you eat in the lounge, the better the value proposition. Add the Resort Concierge service to the mix, as well as the views and ambiance in the lounge, and it becomes pretty easy to justify Club Level.

At the other end of the spectrum, if you’re a party of 2 adults and will only do breakfast in the lounge before rope dropping the parks and staying until park closing (thus missing all subsequent food services in the lounge), it’s literally impossible to justify Club Level. In general, this is not something for “park commandos,” it’s for those wanting a more leisurely, luxurious, and pampered Walt Disney World experience.

In scenarios that don’t fall on either end of those extreme spectrums, there’s doing Club Level simply because you want to treat yo self to an excellent, once in a lifetime kind of experience. Maybe you want the best view in the house at Wilderness Lodge, or to strut around the Polynesian wearing your lei like a rockstar—a modern day Jon Bon Jovi. Sometimes it’s fun to splurge on a taste of luxury because it’s just something you flat out want to do.

Everyone makes purchases that would not pass muster if scrutinized from a value for money perspective. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. There’s no reason to feel bad about wanting what you think will be a cool or convenient experience for the sake of that experience. Anyone who claims every decision they make is 100% rational and 0% emotional is lying. If you want to stay Club Level at Walt Disney World for one of these reasons—or some other intrinsic sense of happiness—more power to you. Only you know what will make your vacation special to you!

disney tourist blog club level

We are a party of two adults, and we’ve made Club Level work for us. We discuss the specifics in each of those reviews above, but here’s the CliffNotes version of that: we do split stays, with the Club Level portion of our trip for 1-2 nights at the end of a trip.

If you’re unfamiliar with the concept of a split stay, see our How to Do Split Stays at Walt Disney World Hotels . As you can see there, we are huge advocates of split stays for a number of reasons. When it comes to this, we highly recommend doing the Club Level portion at the end of your trip, rather than beginning.

In part, this is because it’s really tough to go from Club Level back to normal accommodations. More importantly, we recommend this because you’ll spend the first portion of your trip racing around the parks doing everything that you want to get done, exhausting yourselves in the progress. Then at the end, you’ll have a Club Level stay to relax, rejuvenate, and actually vacation.

When we stay Club Level at Walt Disney World, we seldom leave the resort. With this in mind, our least favorite is the Atrium Club Level at Contemporary Resort. Chronos Club is normally a great value and something we really enjoy, but we don’t like hanging around Gran Destino all day, so it’s out from this perspective.

disney tourist blog club level

Our two favorite Club Levels at Walt Disney World are those at Beach Club and Wilderness Lodge. We love taking advantage of Stone Harbor Club during breaks from floating around the lazy river in Stormalong Bay, or sitting in a comfy overstuffed chair in Old Faithful Club while gazing down at that glorious lobby. We like to unwind and make the most of the luxurious stay while doing Club Level.

For choosing the right Club Level for you–or getting the details right on a split stay, once again Here’s the Authorized Disney Vacation Planner that we recommend . They can help you come up with a split stay “hotel plan” like this that works for your needs. Your interests are going to differ from ours, but they can listen to your family’s interests and priorities and book something customized just for you. (Plus, they get their commission from Disney, so there is no charge to you for them to book your trip and help you plan!)

disney tourist blog club level

The math on Club Level only works out if you’re viewing it as a luxury experience or splurge. If you’re singularly value-oriented, Club Level is never going to make sense. You could simply do grocery delivery and have snacks at your leisure in your Walt Disney World hotel room and come out way ahead in terms of savings. Of course, nothing screams “luxury hotel stay” like having groceries delivered and preparing oatmeal in your room.

Not that we’re knocking that. We’ve done grocery delivery several times and Club Level several times. Some trips we want to travel as inexpensively as possible, other times we want to splurge and treat ourselves to luxurious experience. There’s certainly a place for both styles of traveling.

disney tourist blog club level

One thing to reiterate here while we’re discussing a luxurious experience, is that this refers almost entirely to the Club Level Lounge, its food and atmosphere. Concierge Resort Cast Members are generally great and helpful with planning questions you might have.

However, concierge service at Walt Disney World is not the same as it is in real world hotel counterparts. We have stayed at Grand Club level at several Hyatt hotels, among other chains, and the difference at luxury hotels is that the service there is truly above and beyond .

Real world concierges can pull strings and make coveted bookings, quickly have tickets delivered to a hotel, etc. Walt Disney World concierges can make the same bookings available in the My Disney Experience app in lieu of you doing it. This can be a nice convenience, but it’s usually nothing you couldn’t do yourself.

Additionally and more importantly, those real world resort concierges go out of their way to make you feel special and pampered. Their service is very attentive and proactive. Disney’s service is much more reactionary; if you need help, it’s there. If not, there’s a decent chance no Concierge Resort Cast Members will interact with you after check-in.

In that regard, calling it “concierge level” or “concierge lounges” at Walt Disney World is really a misnomer. While the company itself sometimes refers to the level or lounges as concierge, those references are infrequent and often just aimed at convention guests. (Presumably due to their experience with real world concierge levels, but not Club Level? I dunno. Sometimes Disney’s verbiage is confusing and inconsistent.)

disney tourist blog club level

In general, this is a fundamental difference that really must be stressed for Walt Disney World first-timers who are used to real world 5-star hotels. If you pampered service is your paramount concern, you are better off booking the Four Seasons Resort Orlando.

With that said, one thing we should note here is that Disney has been improving by leaps and bounds on this front. Walt Disney World wants this audience of “whale” guests, and has lost market share to luxury hotels that have opened around Orlando. There are plenty of reasons to believe Disney is catering to more affluent guests, and improving Club Level offerings to capture this clientele certainly makes sense.

disney tourist blog club level

Overall, we’re generally fans of Club Level at Walt Disney World and, for us, it’s worth the money on some trips. The Club Level experience has improved in quality the last couple of years, which certainly makes it easier to justify, too. The lounge atmosphere and views are important to us, and having the services of the Resort Concierge Cast Members is a nice bonus for us.

Still, we like to mix things up. Sometimes we splurge on Club Level and almost no park time; sometimes we focus on parks and simply book a cheap hotel and do quick, inexpensive meals. It varies from trip to trip–and can even vary within trips.

Ultimately, by staying Club Level as part of a split stay during our ‘resort days’, we are able to make the most of our Club Level stays, relaxing in the lounge, eating and drinking as much as we can. From this perspective, we think Club Level works well and is a compelling option. Your vacation plans may vary, in which case the value that Club Level offers to you will differ. Either way, we hope this introduction to Club Level at Walt Disney World has proven helpful for planning your trip, and determining whether the concierge experience is right for you!

the once and only time we stayed in CL was at Animal Kindon and was able to book a few days CL the split to the DVC 1 bedroom villa. We booked a studio CL and for us the studio was quite crowded and the move to the 1 bedroom villa was very welcome after 2 day with 2 of us and 3 kids. teens and 1 under 5. and we loved the lounge and used it whilst there and we did try to make these couple days resort days. But the number one reason we booked CL was access to book the sunrise safari, which was offer ONLY for Cl bookings. THAT was worth every penny! early but a 3 hour semi private safari and then a full breakfast for just our group of 20 people (?) at Jiko not open to public . I don’t know if any other resort cub levels have special things to access like that, but add that even though we paid for the safari tix added, plus the food and drinks and just having a quiet corner to be alone. I’d love to hear what each resort does that like to make it more enticing to partake. Pricey and not money-worthy yes, but things we’ll never otherwise get to do…. I’d love to know

' src=

Since having our twins we’ve always stayed in 1 bedroom villas (booking directly through Disney with a discount). We took a trip this past summer with just my husband and I, stayed at Coronado Springs, and absolutely fell in love. Imagine our excitement to learn that the deluxe suite there with the separate living room, includes club access for a comparable price as a 1 bedroom villa! We’re so looking forward to our upcoming trip this summer!

We absolutely adore the Regatta Club at Yacht Club. the cast members are incredible. we love them like family. We didn’t stay there at all in December, but stopped to leave little Christmas gifts for them…and actually got yo see all of them. we checked out the bounce back offer and booked 3 nights there in December 2024 just because we love the cast members! and what a fabulous bounce back offer we got!!!!

Thank you for the updated post for CL at WDW. We have done all of the CL lounges at Disney Land and always find that you can make a meal out of all of the offerings, BF, Lunch and Dinner, so I was surprised to read in your post that lunch was so scant at WDW. At the DL resorts lunch always consists of the normal chips and snack but also rolls with cold cuts and cheeses so you can make sandwiches as well as PB&J’s for the kids (and adults too) along with fruits and veggies. Sometimes they’ll also have a soup offering during the day. The one that would most often do that was the Grand Californian. It’ll be interesting to see what they offer when we’re there. Our last stay at the Poly was in 2021 and their lounge was still closed due to Covid. Since my kids love the Poly that’s where we’ve stayed. But we look forward to trying other lounges in the future. I so appreciate you sharing all of them here with us.

We have just stayed at the Atrium Club Level at the Contemporary for a special birthday, despite misgivings that it’s not the best on property based on this and other such reviews. We actually loved it! Cast was great! The food was all good! We had hot breakfast items, more than enough for a full meal to start the day. We took full advantage of adult beverages in the afternoons/evenings. As Tom mentions, this was a ‘stay and chill’ stay, not a park ninja stay. I’d do this again and will for sure try Wilderness Lodge as it’s my favorite hotel.

' src=

Our last 4 visits to WDW have been CL visits. Our first CL was Beach Club, it was way less than I had hoped. This was before Covid. The next 2 were at Contemporary CL February ’19 and December ’22. There were still many things not open open 3rd visit, however Contemporary blew away BC and we absolutely adored it there. Then came Poly. The week prior to Easter ’23. I cannot even begin to tell you how magical it was! We were traveling with 2 grandchildren, both vegetarian and one neurodivergent. They went waaaaay out of their way to make the trip memorable and comfortable, and to make sure the grandchildren had plenty of vegetarian options during evening apps. Lunch and breakfast were awesome. The best part was returning in time every evening (except one) to grab evening appetizers, and then a few snacks for our room to enjoy with the fireworks from our balcony. We will absolutely go again! Shout out to every CMat CL Contemporary and Poly! You are all beyond awesome!

Hi! Great review, I just want to mention one thing that I think it’s worth to mention. We booked a club level room for 3 adults at Polynesian for 5 nights, and the price was about $400 more than having 2 people staying at club level. I don’t know if it’s always true, or just because of specific time and resort (but I think it is more likely to be the former since I have tried several time period with different resorts). So I just want to mention this since the math won’t simply increase your denominator when you have more people.

' src=

We were lucky enough to be upgraded to Yacht Club club level and I have to say that if I was paying for it…. I might have been a tad disappointed.

It was nice to get good espresso coffee of a morning and nice white wine on a sunny verandah of the evening but the food quality was really poor and evidently cheap – mac and cheese, wilted carrot sticks, oatmeal.

Housekeeping were also awful – including banging on our door at 8am morning of departure and really quite grumpy.

If I had been spending $800 a night (!) I would have lost my mind at it.

' src=

Geek, like you we were also upgraded to CL after we were assigned a room that let’s just say smelled really bad. We had always wanted to try CL and are so glad we got to try it without paying. Wife and I would have been so disappointed for really wasting our money. You really have to either be at the resort a lot, drink alcohol daily to get the value out of it. Or comeback to the resort during the serving times which is really inconvenient to do. I will say that the CMs were great and using CL made you feel pampered, but for us that is not enough to justify the cost. Can you make a meal out of the apps they serve? I guess but why would I want to pay a couple hundred more for a cold cut mini sandwich etc. So we’re one and done.

' src=

Past stays with club level were so wonderful and the staff concierge employees were so helpful in planning. This is no longer the case. I booked everything myself, they will not help at all. There were two experiences we really wanted for this trip and I asked in advance for tips in booking and help and all I have ever received as a response is that I am better off doing everything myself and they don’t know. I’m sorry, but the lounge snacks (hot or cold) are not worth several hundred dollars extra from a normal hotel room each night. I definitely will not be staying club level ever again.

disney tourist blog club level

Are you considering staying in a Club Level room during your Disney World vacation? Or perhaps you’d just like to learn a little more about this concierge option available at select Disney World Resort hotels ?

disney tourist blog club level

Well, there may be more factors to consider than you realize to choose the Club Level that’s right for you. (And if you’re curious to learn whether Club Level itself is a good choice for your group to begin with, we dive into that topic here .) Today we’re chatting about which Resort has the BEST Club Level in Disney World. Are you ready?

We are, too! But first things first: let’s give a brief overview of Club Levels at Disney World hotels. Club Level (also called Concierge Club Level) is a room category that offers special perks and accommodations . For instance, Club Level guests have access to an exclusive lounge that offers light meals like continental breakfast, snacks throughout the day, and even evening desserts and cocktail hours. (Cheers!)

disney tourist blog club level

Additionally, Club Level guests receive special planning help prior to their visit through Disney Signature Services, as well as a separate dedicated Concierge Desk onsite to help during their stay. Concierge Cast Members are typically available from 7AM to 10PM each day (as well as the time leading up to your vacation). Cast Members can assist with park tickets, advance dining reservations, and many more recommendations that can help throughout your vacation.

So, those are the basics! Now let’s explore WHICH Resort Club Level option is the BEST… or simply the best for YOU! Let’s start by going down the list of options, and then we’ll cover a few factors to consider in your decision.

Disney World Resort Hotels with Club Levels

Atrium club level in disney’s contemporary resort (deluxe resort).

Disney’s Contemporary Resort is mere steps away from Magic Kingdom , and is one of three hotels on the Monorail Loop. The vibe is bright and modern, while guests will also enjoy classic Disney touches including a mural by legendary Disney artist Mary Blair, and recently refurbished guest rooms themed to The Incredibles .

disney tourist blog club level

The Contemporary offers Club Level Rooms on the 12th and 14th Floor of the Resort’s Tower, with the 14th floor housing Suites. The 12th floor Atrium Club Concierge and the 14th floor Tower Club Concierge offer the same guest services and food items.

disney tourist blog club level

Readers have provided reviews of the Contemporary Club Level which you can read here , but we’re shining a spotlight on a few quotes below:

“Because we were staying Club Level, we were able to walk down and watch the fireworks on the balcony at night and man were the views spectacular! Eating breakfast on the club level balcony while watching the ferry and monorail come and go, as well as admire Cinderella Castle can’t be beat. T he food provided was delicious and my family and I especially enjoyed the desserts provided during the fireworks.”

“The staff could not have been more wonderful and attentive… The snacks were not as nice as at some of the other club levels where we have stayed, but they were adequate.”

Kilimanjaro Club Level in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge (Deluxe Resort)

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is nearest to Disney’s Animal Kingdom park . The most unique thing about this remarkable Resort is that there are over 200 animals that LIVE on the Savannas of the Lodge!

disney tourist blog club level

The Kilimanjaro Club Level is on the 6th floor of the Resort’s Jambo House, and while it is spacious and lovely, the Lounge itself does not offer a view of the Savanna (where the animals can be seen).

disney tourist blog club level

If you have dined at Boma or Jiko — The Cooking Place , you may be thrilled to know that the Lounge offers many bites like those you’d enjoy at those restaurants! A selection of South African wines is also available to try.

disney tourist blog club level

You can find reviews from AllEars readers for the Kilimanjaro Club Level Lounge here , and we’ve provided a few quotes below:

“It takes a bit of a walk to get to the top floor for refreshments and free food, even if you are close to the elevators on the lower levels.”

“The food offerings, except breakfast, shouldn’t be viewed as meal replacements but for a very light eater you can eat enough to not want a lunch or heavy dinner. The offerings in the evening tie into the theme of the resort and are a great way to try something you might not otherwise eat.”

“There were hot options at breakfast and cocktail hour. The staff were very helpful with providing food for our daughter with a food allergy. Everyone was very helpful in the lounge. I do wish the club level rooms were closer to the club area.”

King Kamehameha Club Level in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort (Deluxe Resort)

The “Spirit of ALOHA” awaits at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort ! This South Island-inspired Resort is on the Magic Kingdom Monorail Loop and sits on the shores of Seven Seas Lagoon.

disney tourist blog club level

The Club level rooms at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort are located in the Hawaii and Tonga buildings, and the private lounge is on the second floor of the Hawaii building.

disney tourist blog club level

A HUGE bonus to the lounge is that it offers fantastic views of Cinderella Castle and the Magic Kingdom fireworks (and the music for the fireworks is played on speakers inside the lounge during the show).

Here’s some of what AllEars readers had to share in their reviews of the Polynesian’s Club Level :

“Lots of different kinds of food at each meal time and the alcoholic beverages were plentiful! I recommend the punch!! We had breakfast each day and enjoyed at least one other treat time or drink time each day. We were able to take back to our room or eat in the very nice lounge.”

“Since they built the bungalows on the beach, the views from Hawaii bldg rooms have been severely impacted, such that now only the third floor rooms have a true theme park view…. during the Magic Kingdom fireworks, the CM’s make it extra magical for all in the lounge by turning down the lights in the room and piping in the music, so we can watch AND hear the show…and it’s wonderful.”

“The concierge was always helpful, whether I needed something picked up from a park or printing out my boarding passes. Food in the club was plentiful and always tasty.”

Old Faithful Club Level in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge (Deluxe Resort)

The beauty of the Pacific Northwest and the legacy of great National Parks is celebrated at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge ! Though Wilderness Lodge is not a stop along the Monorail Loop, this Resort offers easy (and fun!) access to the Magic Kingdom by boat.

disney tourist blog club level

The Concierge rooms (all located on the seventh floor, along with the Club Level Lounge) offer a privacy balcony and the view will be either woods or courtyard.

disney tourist blog club level

Here are a few quotes from AllEars reader reviews :

“ The cast members at the club level are all top notch. Super helpful with answering any questions. Breakfast every day was great. Each day was a little different but there were always staples. The croissants were particularly great!”

“The lounge was welcoming with a stunning view of the lobby. The staff were extremely helpful and every time you passed a CM in the hallway, they smiled and said hello. We felt completely at home and very welcome indeed… The food was lovely, always plenty available with a fridge full of chilled drinks available too… The WL CL really know how to treat their guests, and it shows.”

Royal Palm Club Level in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort (Deluxe Resort)

All of the Club Level room (and about half of the suites) are located on the third, fourth, and fifth floors of the main building. The Lounge is located on the fourth floor. Unless you are staying in one of the Club Level rooms, you cannot get to the third, fourth, or fifth floors of the main building. Access is by private elevator only. (The Sugar Loaf building also offers full club-level service.)

AllEars readers had the following to share in our collection of reviews for Club Level at the Grand Floridian :

“We loved the club level perk of the food and beverages. The staff was not as friendly as I was expecting, and the eating area was always crowded.”

“After many stays at The Boardwalk in Concierge level and the Wilderness Lodge Concierge level I expected a lot more from Grand Floridian.”

“The private lounge was beautiful and the food and drinks plentiful.”

Stone Harbor Club Level in Disney’s Beach Club Resort (Deluxe Resort)

Disney’s Beach Club is styled after the New England seaside at the turn of the century and the seashore theme is evident throughout this bright and airy Resort, which also boasts a pool complex that’s like its own mini water park! The Beach Club connects directly to its sister Resort, the Yacht Club. It’s also within walking distance to EPCOT !

Club Level room options are diverse, ranging from standard, garden, and water view rooms to the Newport Presidential Suite (and also including 1- and 2-bedroom suites.)

disney tourist blog club level

Allears readers have shared the following within this collection of Club Level reviews of Beach Club :

“It was awesome from beginning to end. The staff were outstanding and got to know us so much so when we came in from the parks, be it mid afternoon or evening, they brought us our favorite alcoholic beverages and kept bringing more. The evening offerings were enough to fill us up so we didn’t need to buy dinner.”

“the best part was the staff. Awesome helpful people. The food was always warm and restocked, staff members were constantly inquiring about how the food was and if you needed anything. They were also happy to chat and provide tips, or little known facts, or suggestions.”

Regatta Club Level in Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

Where the Beach Club celebrates life along the shore, its sister Resort, Disney’s Yacht Club , is a tribute to life ON the sea with its more nautical theming. As it connects directly to the Beach Club, the Yacht Club likewise boasts a walking path directly to EPCOT as well as easy access to the Disney Skyliner .

disney tourist blog club level

All Club Level rooms are located on the Yacht Club’s 5th floor.

Readers have several great things to say about the Regatta Club Level in our collection of reviews :

“We definitely took advantage of the breakfast more than any of the other options since we were at the parks most of the day. On one of the late afternoons we did stop back in and were able to try out the hors d’oeuvres consisting of crudites, various cheeses, sliced roast beef and turkey with dinner rolls, chicken fingers, mac and cheese, smoked salmon and a few others I don’t recall. You easily could have made a dinner out of what was there. Another night we came back in time to enjoy the desserts which included 2 to 3 assorted mini cupcakes, mini tarts, rice crispy treats, ice cream, fresh fruit, and cookies. Good thing we were doing a lot of walking on this trip! Overall, the lounge was busy but not overcrowded.”

“This stay really lead me and my husband to decided to continue staying club level going forward… Club Level was definitely worth it.”

Innkeeper’s Club Level in Disney’s Boardwalk Inn

We have one more option for you within walking distance to EPCOT : Disney’s BoardWalk Inn . The turn-of-the-century Coney Island-inspired BoardWalk offers Club Level guests access to the Innkeeper’s Club.

disney tourist blog club level

Club Level guests may choose from standard rooms or water or garden views, or opt for a 2-Bedroom Suite.

disney tourist blog club level

Take a peek at the following quotes from AllEars reader reviews of the Innkeeper’s Cub Level at the BoardWalk .

“As for the Innkeeper’s Lounge, the Continental Breakfast had a number of good offerings. The afternoon snacks were good. The dinner time appetizers and other offerings were a big disappointment… The seating in the Lounge was usually insufficient, which is another disappointment when spending so much money for club level.”

“It’s by no means cheap but replaces mini expensive restaurant meals. Fantastic [cast members]. Overall a terrific experience!”

Chronos Club Level in Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs Resort (Moderate Resort)

Do you see how “One of these things is not like the other?” (Sing along if you remember that one 😉 ). Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is the single Moderate Resort on the list of Resorts with a Club Level option.

disney tourist blog club level

Club Level options for Coronado Springs Resort arrived with the addition of Gran Destino Tower in 2019. In fact, Club Level access is exclusive to rooms in the Tower, which include Standard View rooms, Deluxe-, 1-Bedroom- and Presidential Suites.

disney tourist blog club level

You can take a photo tour of the stunning Gran Destino Tower here ; and it’s good to know that the nearest park to Coronado Springs is Animal Kingdom (and, therefore, a bit of a bus trek to the other parks).

Factors to Consider

Theme and style.

When it comes to choosing a Club Level, choosing your preferred theme or style is much like that of choosing your Resort! So, this one all boils down to preference.

disney tourist blog club level

Do you love the idea of the casual feel of the Beach Club? Does the idea of seeing animals on the daily at Animal Kingdom Lodge pique your interest?

Then simply follow where your instincts lead! If you are looking more into logistics, we have more factors to consider…

Proximity to Parks

If you know you’ll be spending a lot of your time in EPCOT, the Beach Club, Yacht Club, or BoardWalk Inn would be your best bets.

disney tourist blog club level

If you’re planning to tackle ALL. THE. RIDES. in Magic Kingdom, a Resort on the Monorail Loop might be best for you. We’ve mentioned closest park proximity in all of the individual Resort sections above to help you consider your options.

Ratings from Readers

You may feel a little more confident in your decision by checking out what others have to say about their experience.

disney tourist blog club level

With the exception of the newest Club Level option (at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort), you can click on any of the review links above to check out full reviews from fellow AllEars readers to find out their thoughts and experiences regarding the individual Resort Club Levels.

Be sure to consider if a specific view from your room is of importance to you.

disney tourist blog club level

Because Club Level Rooms are relegated to certain areas of the Resorts, you may want to factor that into your decision.

Ah, yes… ’tis a splurge to enjoy Club Level access. As we mentioned in a previous post , the price of staying Club Level ranges from an additional $100 a night to $275 a night depending on the resort. A good rule of thumb is that the more expensive the hotel and room category, the greater the added cost.

disney tourist blog club level

Specific pricing can be found on the Disney World website, in exactly the same way you would search for any room in a Disney World Resort hotel. (In fact, when perusing “Room Rates” on the Disney World website, Club Level rooms are clearly marked in the search, so you can conduct an easy cost comparison between both regular rooms and other Club Level options at various Resort hotels.

We hope this chat has helped in your Disney World vacation planning! And if you’ve ever experienced Club Level at Disney World, we’d love to hear about it with a comment!

Club Level at Disney World

Club Level at Disney World

Most of Disney World’s best resorts offer Club Level rooms. This is wonderful news if you’re looking for the best service possible while on your Walt Disney World vacation.

When you consider how much you’ll be spending on your trip, adding a Club Level enhancement doesn’t cost you too much more in the grand scheme of things. This may come as a surprise to many people because most guests assume Club Level is significantly more.  Or, they’ve never even heard of this perk in the first place.

Below we investigate the ins and outs of Disney’s Club Level,  which Disney World resorts offer this perk, the benefits of upgrading to Club Level, and whether or not Club Level is worth the money. Hopefully, this will help you determine if Disney Club Level is a good fit for your next family vacation.

What is Club Level at Disney World?

Club Level Disney Resorts

One advantage to planning a trip to Disney World is the ability to customize your vacation exactly how you wish. From choosing your resorts to your restaurants, theme parks to Disney Genie+ rides, you call the shots. But – as is the case with so many things – the more enhancements you add to your trip, the more magical AND expensive it becomes. And Disney vacations are not cheap, to begin with, so extra money spent better be worth it.  Luckily, there is a way to splurge on concierge-style treatment without totally breaking the bank: Club Level at Disney World.

Many hotels offer special room categories to choose from. They may offer upgraded amenities, special room perks, or concierge-level services. Like many things, the more upgrades you add on, the higher the price goes.

Disney World’s version of this is called Club Level, a special category of rooms that offer its guests VIP treatment.

Club Level (aka, Club Level Concierge ) is not offered at every Walt Disney World resort hotel.  However, it is an option if you stay at Disney Deluxe Resorts .

Deluxe resorts are the most expensive tier of hotels at Disney World, so, while Club Level by itself isn’t too expensive, the fact that you must stay at a Disney Deluxe resort may be a disqualifier for many budget-conscious guests.

Disney Resorts w/ Club Level Accommodations

Disney Club Level

Which Disney World hotels offer Disney’s Club Level accommodations?

Club Level is available at all of Disney’s Deluxe Resorts and at one of Disney’s Moderate Resort (the brand new Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort).

Here’s a breakdown of the Disney resorts offering Club Level, as well as the name(s) of the Club Level lounge at each resort:

Deluxe Resorts

  • Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kilimanjaro Club Lounge
  • Beach Club Resort – Stone Harbor Club
  • Boardwalk Inn – Innkeepers Club
  • Contemporary Resort – Atrium Club (12th floor) and Tower Club (14th floor)
  • Grand Floridian Resort – Royal Palm Club and Sugar Loaf Key Club
  • Polynesian Resort – King Kamehameha Club
  • Wilderness Lodge Resort – Old Faithful Club
  • Yacht Club Resort – Regatta Club

Moderate Resort

  • Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort – Chronos Club

As you can see, each resort has one Club Level lounge on its property with the exception of Contemporary and Grand Floridian resorts, which have two.

Benefits of Club Level at Disney World

Club Level FastPass

What are the benefits of booking a Club Level room?

Rooms that fall in this category will give you special access to a number of perks and amenities that non-Club Level guests don’t get.

Each resort may offer slightly different benefits, but here are a few benefits that come standard with Club Level at Disney World.

See our Best Magic Kingdom Rides , Best Epcot Rides , Best Animal Kingdom Rides , and Best Hollywood Studios Rides pages to discover the attractions you should prioritize for Disney Genie+.

Club Level Lounge

The Club Level Lounge is one of the best things about Disney Club Level.

The Lounge provides guests staying at Club Level a place to unwind after a busy day at the theme parks.

Club Level lounges provide comfortable sitting areas, TVs, areas designed for kids, and some offer great views of the resort or nightly shows (The Club Level Lounge at BoardWalk Inn has a great view of the nightly fireworks).

Club Level Lounge becomes a home base during your trip and provides you will a fun space to spend time with your family, travel group, or to meet new people, You will be able to access the Club Lounge as soon as you check-in until midnight of your check out day.

But the “bread and butter” of Club Lounge is its complimentary food and beverages.

Club Level Lounge provides guests with a place to grab some breakfast foods, snacks, hors d’oeuvres, and desserts. There are offerings for both kids and adults, and staff will accommodate anyone with special dietary needs.

Club Level Lounge Details

Menus may vary from resort to resort, but a typical schedule is as follows:

  • Coffee –  6:30 am – 7:00 am
  • Continental breakfast – 7:00 am – 10:30 am
  • Light snacks – 11:30 am – 4:00 pm
  • Hors d’oeuvres and beverages (including wine and beer) –  5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
  • Desserts and cordials – 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm

As for evening-time beverages, you can expect to find a selection of complimentary alcoholic beverages (for adults) including beer, wine, and cordials in addition to the standard coffee, tea, canned sodas, lemonade, etc.,

Signature Services – Trip Planning Assistance

Up until recently, Disney Club Level guests could utilize a service called the Disney Itinerary Planning Office (IPO). Cast Members (at the specific resorts offing Club Level) were there to help guests book their Advance Dining Reservation (ADR) and FastPass+ choice [Update: Disney’s FastPass+ has been replaced by Disney Genie+ and Lightning Lane ].

Disney now calls this perk “Signature Services” and they are able to assist you in the same manner as the old Itinerary Planning Office.

Please be aware that Disney’s Club Level Signature Services don’t have special access to additional dining reservations beyond what you see in the My Disney Experience mobile app .

Additionally, Signature Services cannot book your Advance Dining Reservation or regular Genie+ reservations any earlier than you or a travel agent.

In fact, you may be at a disadvantage w/ hard to get reservations because the Signature Services office opens until 9 am EST, while the window to book reservations opens at 7 am EST. This means that either you or your travel agent will be able to book reservations a full 2 hours before a Signature Service Cast Member ever could, and you could miss out on that difficult reservation!

With this in mind, Disney’s Signature Services might not be the best choice if you hope to secure hard-to-get Advance Dining Reservations selections.

Sure, the service is helpful, informative, and easy peasy, but a dedicated Disney Travel Agent like those at The Vacationeer can do everything Signature Services does and get you the difficult Advance Dining Reservations, etc.

Contact The Vacationeer today for a free, no-obligation price quote !

Check-In for Club Level Guests

Club Level guests that arrive between 7 am – 10 pm will go directly to the Club Level floor or building to checked-in there.

By doing so, they will be able to bypass the line that forms at the front desk.

Club Level Concierge Desk

Club Level guests can seek out the assistance of Cast Members working at the concierge desk between the hours of 7 am – 10 pm.

They can help with dining reservations, ticketing issues, transportation options, MagicBands, etc.

Extra Security

Club Level rooms are typically located away from regular rooms – and on separate floors or separate buildings – of Disney resorts.

Guests staying at a Disney Club Level room must use their MagicBands to access the floor or building. This limits the traffic flow and adds a degree of security and quietness to these areas.

Evening Turndown Service

Guest staying Club Level will receive traditional room service as well as evening turndown service. Evening turndown service is when the Club Level room is given a light tidying and the bed linens are turned down in preparation for the night. And, as a special touch, guests will find chocolate treats left on the pillows!

Upgraded Toiletries

While many Disney resorts now have wall-mounted toiletry dispensers, guests of Disney Club Level rooms will find upscale H20 brand toiletries and such items like sunblock, etc. in addition to the standard soap, shampoo, and conditioner.

Robes and Slippers

Guests of Club Level rooms at Disney World will find plush robes and slippers in their rooms. Nice touch!

Complimentary Newspapers And Fax

Disney World Club Level guests can pick up complimentary newspapers near the lounges.  There is also complimentary fax assistance if that is something you need.

Daily Itinerary

Some Disney resorts deliver a colorful daily itinerary to their Club Level guests each evening. This is a great visual reminder of what you have planned for the next day, delivered right to your room!

Is Disney World’s Club Level Worth It?

It’s hard to make the case that Club Level at Disney World is actually a cost- savings .

Sure, there are plenty of perks and if you hang out in the Club Lounge all day, then this could potentially offset some of your food expenses. But most people will be out and about most of the day and miss out on many of the food and beverage offerings.

If money is no object, then Club Level Concierge certainly makes sense because you have more options and more ways to be pampered with this level of service.

And when it comes down to it, Club Level isn’t really that much more in the grand scheme of things. In fact, the cost of a room is often comparable to a non-discounted standard room at the same Disney resort.

Your Disney World vacation will be expensive no matter how many corners you cut. Sometimes it’s worth splurging and getting the best!

Enjoy your trip!

We hope our Club Level at Disney World page has helped you determine if this perk is worth the money.

Guide to Disney Club Level Concierge Amenities: Is it Worth it?

If you’re looking to upgrade your Disney World Vacation then Club Level Concierge Services may be just what you’re looking for. This exclusive service costs a pretty penny but gets you special treatment like no other. Things like full access to a private lounge with food offerings, assistance with hard-to-get dining reservations, shows, and tickets, and a room on a gated floor at a Disney Deluxe Resort are all things on the menu.

But, it’s not for everyone! If you find your Disney Vacation is more about the parks and activities than staying at the resort, then the cost of Disney World Club Level may be cumbersome! Here’s everything you need to know about Club Level at Walt Disney World and the Concierge Services that come along with it.

Club Level at Disney World Benefits

What is Club Level at Walt Disney World? This upgraded Disney service is offered for an additional cost per night at select Disney Resorts. Booking a Disney Room at the Club Level rate means you get dedicated Concierge staff at your beck and call throughout your stay. Here’s everything else you get as part of the Disney World Club Level.

Exclusive Rooms

Exclusive access to the club lounge area.

A big perk of Club Level is the fact that you get secured key card access to a lounge area, reserved only for Club Level guests. Complete with sofas, chairs, a television, and access to the food offering stations, this area is typically open from 6:30 am to 10:00 pm, though some lounges do offer 24/7 access. It provides an opportunity to stay out of the busy resort lobby and have space for yourself and the kids while grabbing snacks, coffee, food, or drinks.

Club Level Gran Destino Tower

Disney Concierge Assistance

Club level food offerings.

One of the main reasons guests stay at Club Level is to get access to all the food! What food do you ask? Well along with basics like prepackaged drinks, ice cream bars, and snacks, is also access to an espresso machine for crafting your coffee as needed.

  • Continental breakfast: Offered daily, you can typically grab eggs, meats, yogurt, pastries, fresh fruit, juice, and coffee.
  • Light afternoon snacks: Small plates can be crafted during the afternoon hours, with things like cookies, fruit, chips, and more.
  • Appetizers at dinner time: More elaborate food offerings arrive at dinnertime with things like meat and cheese, veggies, and fruit.
  • Evening wine and beer selections: Champagne, wines, and beers are available throughout the day.
  • Desserts and cordials: In the evening you can pop back to the club for desserts like cake, brownies, and cordials.

How Much Food Do You Get at Disney Club Level?

If you’re hoping to grab all your meals at Club Level and save some money on dining at Walt Disney World, you may be able to! Breakfast offers a robust menu and there is no need to grab breakfast elsewhere unless you want to. Lunch offerings are minimal, and definitely more like snacks than meal items. That said, you can easily supplement these light snacks with a budget-friendly meal at the resort quick-serve restaurant. Light appetizers served at dinnertime could easily be combined to create a meal, depending on how much you hope to eat!

  • 73 Club Level Rooms, 22 Suites.
  • Located on the 5th Floor of Disney’s Beach Club

Boardwalk Inn Innkeepers Club

One of our favorite resorts, Disney’s Boardwalk Inn is home to the Innkeepers Lounge, featuring an expansive balcony along with favorite amenities as part of this Club Level Lounge. The smaller number of Club Level rooms means fewer people to contend with for lobby space. That said, this resort has been undergoing refurbishment so we may see this change.

  • 37 Club Level Rooms, 20 Suites.
  • Located on the 4th Floor of Disney’s Boardwalk Inn Resort

Club Level Gran Destino Tower

Coronado Springs Resort Gran Destino Tower Chronos Club

The only Disney Moderate Resort offering Club Level Concierge Services is Disney’s Coronado Springs Gran Destino Tower. By far one of the most elegant Disney Club Level Lounges, the Chronos Club at Disney’s Coronado Springs features sweeping views and upscale everything. club level wilderness lodge

Wilderness Lodge Old Faithful Club

The Old Faithful Club at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is one of the best. Overlooking the Wilderness Lodge lobby, the club-level rooms are located on the top floor of the resort with views of the courtyard or woods. The Lounge space has a separate food area and deep seating spaces, complete with a few couches, lounge chairs, and tables. Only accessible via keycard, and through a gate, this floor feels truly separate from the rest of the resort.

  • The Old Faithful Club Lounge is located on the 7th Floor of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort.

Yacht Club Regatta Club

The  Yacht Club Club Level Rooms are located on a club-exclusive floor but are the same as the regular rooms at the resort. This Club Level experience is also on the pricier end of the upgrade, at an additional 300-400 per night. Much like the Beach Club, you’re paying for the location on the Disney BoardWalk and proximity to the parks. The Chronos Club at Coronado Springs is nicer than this one. and unlike Wilderness Lodge, the space here is primarily just filled with tables and minimal lounge furniture.

Club Level at Disney World Reviews

While we’re not necessarily on a mission to tackle all the Club Level Lounges at Walt Disney World, we have been able to visit a few, giving us a good idea of the offerings. And the chance to see the pros and cons of the experience as a whole. Be sure to read the reviews of the ones we’ve visited so far for an inside look at this upgraded Disney World experience.

Kilimanjaro Club

Kilimanjaro Club | Animal Kingdom Lodge Club Level

Animal Kingdom Lodge is truly one of our favorite resorts at Walt Disney World. So, we were already biased. This was also the first Club Level experience we had at Disney, so the wow factor was definitely there. The key card-only space accessible via the elevator felt exclusive, even though our club-level room was on a lower floor with the Savanna View. That said, the space was nice, and we enjoyed the view of the lobby. Unlike other club lounges, the serving counters for the food service were just lined against the wall, instead of in a separate kitchen area. Which ended up allowing nice access to everything. The Old Faithful Club | Wilderness Club Lodge Club Level

Another favorite resort at Walt Disney World is Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. As such we were thrilled to get a Club Level Room here merely by chance at hotels.com. This space overlooks the lobby of the resort, has a separate kitchen space, and has Geyser Grog on tap ( Yum!). Much like the rest of the resort this lounge felt cozy, with dark furniture, and gave a reason to hang out at the resort more than we typically would. Read our full review of the Old Faithful Club at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

Chronos Club Gran Destino Tower

Chronos Club | Coronado Springs Club Level

By far the most elegant Club Level Lounge at Walt Disney World, we chalk that off to being, because it’s the newest. Located in Coronado Springs Gran Destino Tower , this space offers sweeping views and had an extensive food lineup. Enough for full meals at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, in fact. As the cheapest Club Level upgrade at Disney, we thought the Chronos Club was completely worth it. Read our full review of the Chronos Club at Disney’s Coronado Springs Gran Destino Tower.

What is the Best Club Level Resort at Walt Disney World?

The Best Club Level Resort at Walt Disney World may be different for everyone. We tend to be snobs when it comes to a variety of things; food selection, views, updates, etc. As we haven’t stayed at all the resorts at club level we could hardly make a claim at this point. That said, in our personal experience the Chronos Club was by far the most bang for your buck, with the best food options, views, and a modern look and feel. So if you were looking for a budget-friendly Club Level at Disney World we’d recommend Coronado Springs .

Of course, if you were looking for a unique experience, we’d say Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge , as all club-level rooms come with a savanna view, which you simply can’t get anywhere else. And Wilderness Lodge as a whole offered a great experience with all the other lovely perks of the resort, like easy transportation to Magic Kingdom and incredible views. Though we haven’t stayed there yet, the Best Club Level Lounge at Walt Disney World is typically considered by many to be the King Kamehameha Club at The Polynesian Resort. Due to its sprawling 2 story lounge, incredible views of the lagoon and the castle, as well as amazing food.

Club Level at Disney World  Costs

The BIGGEST hindrance for just about everyone when considering Club Level at Walt Disney World is value. Does the cost justify the perk? Will you be at the resort enough to make the most of it? And really cost of Club Level at Disney World is all about which resort you choose, and which time of year you visit.

How Much Does Disney World Club Level Concierge Cost?

Disney World Club Level Rooms typically cost an extra $100-500 per night. Of course, this varies since it’s typically based on the price of a similar room, without club level, at the resort you’ve chosen. As such, if you’re choosing to stay at the Yacht Club, where rooms are already about $1000 a night, the Club Level upcharge may sting a bit. That said, choosing a room at Coronado Springs may be closer to $250 a night, meaning you could get Club Level for around  $400 per night. So, it really just all depends on what you’re looking for in a Disney Resort, and if Club Level access makes sense for you. Because while Disney Resort Prices have a part in it, things like transportation, concierge services if you’re looking for something tough to get and food access may all be factors you’re willing to pay for.

Is Disney World Club Level Worth It?

What are you actually getting for the extra hundreds of dollars per night you are spending? In a nutshell, we’d say it’s the champagne. Among other things Club Level access offers you mimosas in the mornings, food access all day long, a place to go to get away from the chaos, and “free” drinks in the evenings. For many, this can be priceless. Especially if you’re planning on dropping your pretty pennies on drinks at Disney Lounges throughout your stay.

What’s more, while you wouldn’t think that larger families would be part of the Club Level crowd, it can often make the most sense for them financially. Especially when you consider that a Disney Dining Budget typically runs about $100 per person per day at Walt Disney World. If you can hedge most of those costs by grabbing food at the Club Level Lounge instead, that upcharge per night begins to look fantastic. The same goes for people who are incorporating drinking into their vacation, which can be very expensive. The wines, cordials, beer, and champagne are all included at Club Level. Making a Club Level option perfect for a Disney Girls Trip or a Disney Adult Vacation .

We’ve seen families with small children, older adults, and all people of all kinds use the Club Level Lounge, so they must be getting the perks they need somehow, right? Something else to consider is that since Concierge Services are offered as part of Club Level, mountains can often be moved for guests staying at this level. And that’s sometimes a service worth paying for.

Are Disney club-level rooms worth the extra cost?

Summer Hull

If you've shopped online for Disney resort hotel reservations, you may have seen the words "Disney Club Level" on some booking options and wondered what exactly they mean.

You can probably quickly tell that these accommodations are more expensive than non-club options, but it isn't immediately obvious what that extra cash gets you ... and whether it is worth it.

Fortunately, I've been lucky enough to try out a number of Disney club-level rooms at a few different Disney resorts over the years. Here's all you need to know about these pricier rooms so you can decide if they're worth the splurge.

What is the club level at Disney resorts?

Paying extra for a club-level room at a Disney resort entitles you to some extra perks and services beyond that of a standard Disney room reservation , largely in the form of food and drinks served in a club lounge.

The club level is not available at every Disney resort, but you will find it at these Deluxe and Moderate Disney properties:

  • Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge .
  • Disney's BoardWalk Inn .
  • Disney's Contemporary Resort .
  • Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa .
  • Disney's Polynesian Village Resort .
  • Disney's Wilderness Lodge .
  • Disney's Yacht Club Resort .
  • Disney's Beach Club Resort.
  • Gran Destino Tower at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort (the only Moderate resort that currently has a club level).

With a club-level room at Walt Disney World, you are not only assigned a specific type of room, but you also have access to a club lounge and the hosts within that lounge. These hosts can help you fix your park reservations, troubleshoot basic tech support issues with the app, give advice on planning your day and generally make your stay more personalized and, dare we say, magical.

What are Disney club-level benefits?

When you arrive to check into your Disney club-level room, you'll likely be personally escorted up to the club lounge to complete your check-in and orientation, which covers all you can expect from the lounge and your various club benefits.

The club rooms are often centrally located, so you won't have to worry about being at the far end of a spread-out resort. For the Contemporary, that means you'll be in the atrium, close to the restaurants, monorail and, of course, the club lounge itself.

disney tourist blog club level

The most tangible benefit of Disney's club level is the club lounge itself, where you'll have access to food, drinks and snacks from morning to night.

Of the options available, breakfast and evening appetizers are the most substantial offerings. In fact, those are the two meals you could make out of your lounge access if you were so inclined. Be sure to leave room for dessert, though, as the options are consistently tasty.

disney tourist blog club level

Years ago, when I first booked the club level at the Contemporary, the agent on the phone told me I was in for a treat and that I had to make myself a plate of dessert, grab some wine from the club and retreat to my theme park-facing room for my own personal fireworks viewing party.

He was right. Having the show's music playing in the background via my TV while enjoying my selection of snacks was every bit as much of a treat as he said it would be.

What can you expect from Disney club-level lounges?

While I've briefly touched on the food and beverage options available in Disney's lounges, let's break it down further, so you know exactly what to expect.

On my most recent visits, breakfast was available from 7 to 10:30 a.m. daily, with coffee starting at 6:30 a.m. Morning options typically include a mix of hot and cold items, such as comforting bites like fried chicken on top of biscuits and creamy grits, plus healthier offerings like avocado toast, fruit and yogurt. Cold cuts and a selection of pastries are available as well.

disney tourist blog club level

In the afternoon, the offerings thin out a bit. However, the fridge remains stocked, which is quite handy for grabbing a drink between treks to the parks. We've also been known to toss an Uncrustable or two, along with packaged grapes and maybe a wrapped-up cookie, into our backpacks to enjoy in the parks when we don't want to stop and eat a real meal.

Around 5 p.m. is when the "good" stuff comes out until 7 p.m. Whether you want a snack to tide you over before heading back to the parks or are aiming to put together a "dinner" on the cheap, you can accomplish either goal at the lounge, so long as your crew isn't too picky. There are a handful of hot options each evening, usually from the hotel's restaurant kitchen.

It's common to find some kid-pleasers such as nuggets, tater tots and rolls next to more adult-oriented favorites like short ribs, soy-glazed salmon and serrano-wrapped melon.

disney tourist blog club level

Fair warning, though, if do want to turn the evening club options into dinner, you won't want to wait to arrive until just before they're cleared at 7 p.m., as you may find the scene looking a bit messy with options lacking.

disney tourist blog club level

After the evening snacks (or dinner, as the case may be) are finished, the lounge shifts its focus to desserts and drinks, which are available from about 8 to 10 p.m.

These options are the perfect way to unwind after a busy day at the theme parks, especially if you time your snack consumption just right to coincide with watching the fireworks from the lounge or your room (if you have a theme park view).

The desserts may consist of cookies, cupcakes, tarts and cakes, among other sweet treats.

disney tourist blog club level

Adult beverages are included, too. Expect a selection of a few different wines in the evening, along with a variety of bottled beers and/or a beer or two on tap. Grand Marnier, Baileys, Kahlua and Frangelico are some of the common cordials I've seen on offer.

disney tourist blog club level

How much does Disney's club level cost?

Depending on the resort and time of year, expect Disney club-level rooms to cost somewhere between $400 and $1,000 per night. The Gran Destino rooms are often the least expensive thanks to being the only Moderate resort option, while the Grand Floridian, the Contemporary and the Polynesian club-level rooms are typically the most expensive.

I've seen Disney club-level rooms start at about a $150 to $200 upcharge over non-club rooms. However, I've also seen the price difference between the entry-level room and the club-level room be roughly $300 to $400 per night, especially in cases such as the Grand Floridian and the Contemporary, where the main building's rooms are just inherently pricier than the outer buildings.

When you layer club-level service on top of the rooms, the spread for nightly rates at resorts with club levels widens in a hurry. To be sure you're getting the most bang for your buck, I highly recommend using a free Disney vacation planner (such as TPG's booking partner Mouse Counselors ) since they can get you additional discounts and assist with planning other parts of your trip.

Is Disney's club level worth it?

Now that you know what it is and what it generally costs, it's time to determine if the Disney Club Level is worth it.

If you want as much convenience, service and magic as possible while at Disney World, it may very well be worth paying up for a club-level room (if you can fit it into your budget). This is much like the equation with the concierge-level service on a Disney cruise .

However, if "worth it" means you're spending more in one area to save in another (aka on food and drinks), then the answer is: It depends. You're unlikely to ever truly save money by booking a club-level room, but there are situations where you can trim expenses here and there.

For example, if you're a family that's going to make good use of the food and drinks in the lounge, then it's not unreasonable to make up a large portion of that room price difference by dining in the lounge instead of at the theme parks, where food and beverage prices are notoriously high.

Of course, ordering essentials and having them directly delivered to Disney via a grocery service is probably cheaper, but that doesn't mean you still can't save some money by staying in a club-level room.

As with all Disney resort rooms, there's another way you can shave a little more off the out-of-pocket cost: credit card rewards.

For example, with the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card , the miles you accrue can be used to offset any travel charge on the card or any Disney booking made within Capital One's travel site . The Bilt Mastercard® (see rates and fees ) also has a travel portal that lets you use rewards for Disney resorts.

disney tourist blog club level

Bottom line

You likely won't want to book a Disney club-level room for a weeklong Disney World vacation (unless you have an unlimited budget).

However, choosing this type of accommodation for a few days of a trip is worth it, especially if you plan on limiting your off-site meals and aren't set on spending every waking moment in the parks.

Just be sure to be smart about when you reserve this kind of room. Aim to lock it in when the nightly price differential is no more than $200 above the room you would otherwise book so you can get more value out of the experience.

What is Disney Club Level?

By: Author Nicole Pomarico Gilder

Published: May 30, 2023 Updated: February 4, 2024

What is Disney Club Level?

A Disney World vacation offers you nearly unlimited ways to customize and enhance your experience. While it isn’t necessarily ever an inexpensive trip, you can definitely do Disney on a budget.

But in the pursuit of savings, it is easy to miss the fact that sometimes spending a little more upfront might actually help you have a better trip in the end.

Disney Club Level is one of those things that many people don’t know about, or they may never consider it as an option, thinking the price is out of their budget . But depending on your family and style of vacationing, staying Club Level at Disney World just might be the perfect fit — and in some ways, it may actually end up helping you save money.

Let’s talk about why…

In this article

Staying in a Club Level room isn’t something you can only do at Disney. Hotels around the world offer room categories that anyone can book that provide additional perks or amenities and concierge-level services to their guests.

At Disney World, this extra-special room category is called Club Level.

Not all Walt Disney World resort hotels offer it as an option, though. Club Level is only available at the Deluxe Resorts at Walt Disney World with one exception: the Gran Destino Tower, at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort (a Moderate-level resort).

Club level welcome letter

What resorts offer Club Level accommodations?

Club Level accommodations are available at all Deluxe Resorts at Walt Disney World and at the Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, which is a Moderate Resort , as well.

Most resorts offering Club Level have one Club Level lounge, however some resorts (as you can see below) offer two.

Deluxe Level

  • Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kilimanjaro Club Lounge
  • Beach Club Resort –  Stone Harbor Club
  • Boardwalk Inn – Innkeepers Club
  • Contemporary Resort –  Atrium Club on the 12th floor and Tower Club on the 14th floor
  • Grand Floridian Resort –  Royal Palm Club and Sugar Loaf Key Club
  • Polynesian Resort –  King Kamehameha Club
  • Wilderness Lodge Resort –  Old Faithful Club
  • Yacht Club Resort –  Regatta Club

Moderate Level

  • Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort – Chronos Club

What perks do you get when you stay Club Level?

Booking a room that is in the Club Level category will give you access to additional amenities that are only available to Club Level guests. The benefits for each resort may vary slightly, but in general you can expect:

Assistance with planning your itinerary

In years past, Disney Club Level guests had access to what was called the Disney Itinerary Planning Office (IPO). These Cast Members were resort-specific and would help guests book their FastPasses and Advanced Dining Reservations.

Now, Disney has centralized this perk into what they call Signature Services .

Signature Services can do everything that the old Itinerary Planning Offices could; however, they don’t have any sort of magical special access for dining reservations or Genie+ selections that you can’t see for yourself in My Disney Experience (except that they can see all available reservations at once instead of just a few at at time like what you see in the app or online).

Pre-pandemic, Club Level guests using Signature Services were able to book three extra FastPasses per day for a $50 fee per person, per day, but not anymore. No similar perk has been instituted for Genie+ , though the Cast Members here can provide assistance in booking Lightning Lanes .

In addition, it’s also important to note that Signature Services can’t book your Advanced Dining Reservations any earlier than what you or your travel agent could book. And, since their office doesn’t open until 9 a.m. EST, if you wait for them to book for you, you’ll be 2 hours behind everybody else that started booking right when the window opened at 7 a.m. EST.

That delay could actually mean the difference between getting some of those hard-to-get reservations or not.

Because of these reasons, using Signature Services may not be the best option for guests wanting any of the hard-to-get dining reservations.

Your best bet (if you want somebody else to help you with those) is to book your reservation with a travel agent so that you’ll have access to their free services and expertise.

Once you have booked your reservation, you can access Signature Services via email or phone:

  • Phone number : (407) 939-7777
  • Email :  [email protected]

Secure access

Disney Club Level rooms are generally grouped onto separate floors or in some cases, separate buildings.

Disney club level elevator

In order to access the Club Level buildings or floors, guests staying Club Level must use their MagicBands, MagicBand+ , or room key card..

While this is clearly not 100% secure, it does help to limit traffic flow.

Evening turndown service

Club Level guests receive both the traditional room servicing, plus an additional evening turndown service.

disney chocolates on pillow turndown Disney club level

This is where your room is given a light once over and your bed linens are literally “turned down” (and chocolate is left on your pillow!) in preparation for sleeping.

Robes and slippers in the room and upgraded toiletries

Disney has been transitioning to wall-mounted dispensers for toiletries in many of their resorts, but that isn’t the case in the Club Level rooms.

Club Level guests get upgraded H20 brand toiletries and, in addition to the standard shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, may also include things like bottles of sunblock, food lotion, mouthwash, aloe gel, etc.

Club Level rooms also have plush robes and slippers for guests.

Complimentary newspapers and fax assistance

While not delivered to your door, Club Level guests will find plenty of complimentary newspapers available down near the lounge, plus complimentary fax assistance.

Club Level Check-in

If you are staying Club Level and arrive between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 p.m., you’ll be escorted to the Club Level floor or building to be checked in there, bypassing the line at the front desk.

Club Level Concierge Desk

If you find yourself needing assistance during your stay, there is a concierge desk available between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 p.m.

Disney Club Level concierge desk

The Cast Members working there can assist with things like tickets or dining reservations, transportation questions, help with your MagicBands , etc.

Daily itinerary

In case you have forgotten what you have planned for the day, or if you are just looking for a scrapbook-quality reminder from your trip, some resorts offer their Club Level guests full-color daily itineraries delivered to their room each evening.

Club Level Lounge

Probably the most well-known aspect of staying Club Level is the Club Level Lounge.

Club level lounge

The lounges offer guests staying Club Level a place to relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle of a Disney vacation.

Club Level kids area

Inside the lounges you’ll find tables and chairs, televisions, and usually an area for kids with their own sized stuff.

disney tourist blog club level

Some Club Lounges even offer fantastic views of the nighttime shows or the natural surroundings of the resort.

But, probably the main feature of the Club Lounge is the food and beverages.

Club Level snacks

Throughout the day, guests can drop into the lounge to pick up breakfast, a snack, or even heavy hors d’oeuvres and desserts.

candy bar club level

Schedules can differ from resort to resort, but typically you can expect it took something similar to this:

  • Coffee : 6:30 a.m to 7:00 a.m.
  • Continental breakfast : 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
  • Light snacks : 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Hors d’oeuvres and select beverages (wine and beer) : 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Desserts and cordials : 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

All food offerings generally include both adult and kid-friendly choices.

And if you have an allergy or food sensitivity, the staff will work with you to ensure that you’ll have safe options available.

In addition to canned sodas, tea, lemonade, punch, etc., in the evenings the lounges also offer a decent selection of complimentary alcohol including wines, beers, and cordials.

Club level wine

Finally, aside from the food and drinks offered, one of the best things about the Club Level Lounge is that it gives you a “home” on your travel dates.

This is especially useful if you:

  • Have a late flight out or an early flight in, as your access to the lounge begins as soon as you check in (regardless of if your room is ready) and lasts through midnight of the day you check out
  • If you’re traveling with a group and want a place you can all gather

Final thoughts on staying Club Level

  • Lots of people will claim that by using the food offerings in the Club Level Lounge they actually save money. We’re not sure that the cost of the food offsets the increased cost of the room, but there are savings that can be had, so be sure you check for discounts. Sometimes Club Level rooms can be booked at a discount for roughly the same price as a non-discounted standard room at the same resort.
  • While the planning services once offered provided an advantage for booking reservations, that really isn’t the case now. For the most concierge-level service, we recommend booking your room with a trusted travel agent that will help you plan and make your reservations for you.

club level drinks and candy

  • If your plan is to save money on food by using the Club Level Lounge for some meals, schedule any dining reservations for lunch, since they typically only have snacks available during that time of the day.
  • Club Level is great for guests who aren’t planning to spend their entire day in the parks, so if you are a half-day kind of park touring family, Club Level might make sense since you’ll be around more to take advantage of its benefits.
  • If you are staying at a resort where the Club Level lounge has a nice view of fireworks (like the lounge at the Boardwalk Inn), make sure you try to catch the show from there at least once.

Do the additional club fast passes have specific times like standard three do in normal fp booking?

Do you have the space the 6 fast passes out hourly? That would kind of be a drag since we tour early morning to early afternoon and then swim.

Shannon Albert

Friday 21st of February 2020

Yes, they have specific times and the same windows as regular FastPasses.

Grand Californian (Disneyland) also has an exceptional club level lounge, Concierge as well as other services. You can see the fireworks from the veranda at night. The rooms are quiet and comfortable and on the highest floor. As near as I can tell it has the other amenities that you have also mentioned in this article. However, I do not believe the additional 3 Fast Pass+option is available at Disneyland.

How do you get access to the additional fast pass offer? Do the just show up earlier or is it through an email? Thanks!

Contemporary atrium club 12th floor is a great experience. I have stay on that level 4 different times. We have always been upgraded at no cost because of available room on the west corridor rooms 4825-4848. Those rooms face lagoon and magic kingdom. Rooms on the east side 4801-4824 also give amazing views of bay lake pool area and Orlando skyline. The great thing is that 3 original resort rooms were removed on the west side to install club lounge right off elevator area so guests staying on lake side still have access to views of MK and fireworks. My wife and I found the food up there filling for breakfast and great apps that hold you over for dinner in some cases it was filling enough that dinner wasn’t necessary. Being a smaller party we are usual able to get in at a signature restaurant nightly waiting maybe 20-30 mins. I recommend this floor for parties looking to spend 3-5 nights and when offered on a discount. It’s a restrictive private area that you need to access the elevators with your wrist band. Most of the time we were the last in the elevator since other guest on regular floors are below that level. This floor was once a regular room floor converted in the late 90s. So all the rooms are the same as the lower floors. Also important note for couples only 2 rooms on this floor 4813 and 4839 are king bed rooms the latter facing the magic kingdom and all odd number rooms on that side, the beds face toward the kingdom. I have also experienced the tower club on the 14th floor. It’s a completely hidden floor which doesn’t look down on the 4th floor concourse. This was the suite level floor originally designed for the hotel. It has now been reduced to having 16 rooms. Also incorporating the presidential suite room 4910 which faces kingdom and Vice Presidental suite room 4904 facing bay lake. Same lounge area as 12th floor facing kingdom. The outdoor balconies are actually patios and larger than lower floor. Special reservations are required but same great cast member service on both floors.

Hi there! My family is already booked for a vacation for the first week of January 2020.

My question is, if I book our next hotel stay for club level while there can I still book 500 days advanced?

I don't mind talking to the receptionist at the front desk. Just trying to figure out if that's an option or if it's only 9 months out.

Disney’s Beach Club Resort: Club Level Review

Staying on Club Level at at Walt Disney World resort is a fun splurge. After doing some rearranging of vacations, my husband, daughter, and I found it approaching July 4 th weekend and no hotel room for July 4 th and 5 th . With the help of our travel agent, we decided to splurge for Club Level at the Beach Club . We had previously stayed at Club Level at Animal Kingdom Lodge, and wanted to compare a stay at Beach Club, with access to the Stone Harbor Club lounge. Here’s what we found.

Beach Club Club Level Check-In Procedure:

One of the benefits of living around the corner is that it is easy to pop over to the resort, check in, and then run back home to pack while you wait for the room to be ready. After dropping Figment the cat off at Best Friends pet resort , my daughter and I headed to Beach Club around noon. We had done online check-in, so we hoped that check-in would be very fast. Because we decided to just park the car in the regular lot and weren’t walking in with suitcases, the welcome committee at the porte-cochere missed us coming in, and so we made it all the way to the regular check-in desk. A quick tap of our MagicBands and the Cast Member at the desk flagged down one of the lobby attendants to take us up to the fifth floor Club level. Once up at the Club level, we were finished with check-in within five minutes. To our surprise, the room was already ready, so we went down the hall and took a look.

Amenities in the Room:

Our room had two queen beds, sofa, a desk with chair, small table (which nests underneath the desk), and a dresser (with mini-fridge, TV, and DVD player). Outside was a small balcony with two chairs. The room also has bathrobes for use during your stay. There were also some neat touches, from the Mickey Mouse desk lamp to the “gas lamps” wall lamps (although it took us a few minutes to realize that the lamps had knobs to turn up or turn down like a gas lamp instead of wall switches to turn them on or off!). The bathroom is fairly standard with a room containing the toilet and shower and a double sink outside. We had a Lagoon/Pool view, which gave us a great view over a courtyard and out into Crescent Lake. The room also includes access to the magnificent Stormalong Bay pool area.

By far, the highlight of staying at Club level is the area is the “free” food and drink. For Beach Club, this lounge area is called the Stone Harbor Club. It is a fairly small room where food and drink offerings change throughout the day. Here are some examples of the offerings.

Breakfast (7 AM to 10:30 AM): A fairly typical continental breakfast that you’d find at any business-grade hotel with cereals, bagels and cream cheese, pastries and doughnuts (selection varies daily), mini muffins, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, tea, coffee, and juice.

Snacks (11:30 AM to 4:00 PM): Light nibbles including gummy fish, house-made potato chips, cookies, trail mix, breadsticks and dips, and yogurt covered pretzels are available. Non-alcoholic beverages (soda, iced tea, Stormalong Bay Breeze punch, coffee, tea, and still and sparkling water) are also provided.

Hors d’oeuvres and Wine (5:00 PM to 7:00 PM): Aside from breakfast, this is the most extensive offering in the day. Generally there are two hot offerings either from or inspired by food at the restaurants around the Yacht and Beach Club. For our nights, we had foods like chicken skewers, spring rolls, and some sort of warm cheese and phyllo bite. There also was a wonderful quinoa cold salad that I was so good that I had some of it again when I saw it a few days later at Cape May Café. Wine and beer are available in addition to non-alcoholic beverages. There are also fresh vegetables and dip, olives, rolls, peanut butter and jelly, apples and caramel, cheese and crackers, and more. While not enough to make a meal, it is a great way to have a light snack before a late dinner.

Desserts and Cordials (8:00 PM to 10:00 PM): A great way to wind down for the evening is the selection of desserts and cordials available. Cordials include potent potables like Amarula and Grand Marnier. The dessert selection varies, but included items like peanut butter mousse, strawberry cheesecake, and brownies.

Turndown Service:

One benefit of staying at Club level is turndown service. At Animal Kingdom Lodge, we not only had the bed turned down and the nightly chocolates, we also received lovely cards with African art and a quote on it. We were hopeful to get something comparable at the Beach Club, but turndown just meant turning the bed down, possibly arranging stuffed animals on the bed (which happened the first night, but the second night was just having the bed turned down), and the standard chocolates. On our second night, I was also astonished how early turndown happened for us. I know that with a young child, we do call it an early night, but a 4:00 PM turndown seemed surprisingly early. I don’t know if this is standard or if was because of staffing issues for a holiday weekend, however.

Bang for Your Buck?

Ultimately, the big question about Club level at any resort is “is it worth the extra cost?” For our stay, Club level was around an extra $175 per night over a standard view room. Here’s my impressions:

* Because we did very little time in the parks, we made good use of the Stone Harbor Club, but there is no question that we did not eat or drink an extra $58 worth of food and beverage per person each day during that stay. Because they did not have bottled water or juice or cartons of milk, we didn’t even have the option of carrying drinks with us in the morning, which is one way we got cost benefit in the past. The lounge room itself was frequently crowded, and because we had a young child with good listening ears, sometimes the patrons for the weekend we stayed had issues with “un-Disney-like” language, so we took our food and drink back to the room instead of relaxing in the lounge.

* In addition, because we are super planners, although the concierge desk was more than willing to help with any needs that we might have had for dining reservations or FastPass+ selections, we had no need of those services.

* My daughter enjoyed the turndown chocolates, but we wouldn’t have missed turndown service if it never happened, as it was pretty lackluster. We also never made use of the bathrobes in the room either, which is the only key difference we saw between a Club level room and a “regular” room. PROS:

* There’s something wonderful about the feeling of stepping on the elevator and tapping your MagicBand to head up to an exclusive area (and even better when other people are looking at you enviously). Splurging can be the spice of life.

* If you are not a frequent guest to Walt Disney World, if you are trying to coordinate a special trip (anniversary, birthday, etc.), having the concierge desk attendants ready to help with any sort of need, such as dining, special gifts, extra activities, or FastPass+ selections can make your trip much less stressful.

* If you enjoy potent potables, being able to grab free beer all afternoon during the big game (for instance, the World Cup during our stay) or free wine in the early evening helps justify the cost. While the lack of bottled juice and water and cartons of milk was disappointing, I do think that I drank at least $10 a day in Stormalong Bay Breeze, a non-alcoholic punch that tasted like a blend of pineapple juice, cranberry juice, and a splash of club soda.

The Bottom Line:

When comparing it with the Kilimanjaro Club at Animal Kingdom Lodge (the only other place where we have stayed Club level), there were a few disappointments with Beach Club. At Animal Kingdom Lodge, we got a “welcome home” set of chocolates and giraffe-shaped chocolate “lollipops” when we arrived in the room. We also got little decorative cards with African proverbs on them at turndown service. Although these are very minor things, they were an added touch that Beach Club just didn’t provide. Staying Club level at Animal Kingdom Lodge also provides access to the Sunrise Safari (albeit for an additional fee), but there was no special activity offered at Beach Club that I could tell. Room quality and food quality and quantity were largely the same, although the lounge at Animal Kingdom Lodge did have a small kid’s buffet of afternoon snacks that didn’t seem to be present at the Beach Club lounge. Because of its layout, the Kilimanjaro Club lounge feels like it is much larger than the Stone Harbor Club lounge. It just seemed that our other Club-level experience was one notch higher than this experience at Beach Club.

Would we stay at Club level at the Beach Club again? If we had a special occasion and got a good deal on the room, we would gladly do it again, as we had a good time and the concierge desk staff, Mousekeeping staff, Stone Harbor attendants were wonderful. We would not be likely to book it on a whim again, however, as it would make better sense for us to stay in a non-Club level room and spend the extra money on a nice meal each day or pool drinks at Stormalong Bay.

We’ve stayed club at every resort but Wilderness, and I don’t know why. We receive absolutely wonderful service at Riverside. In general I find the club rooms to be inconveniently located – down the hall, up the elevator, down the hall. AKL and Poly provide either guaranteed views or locations within the resort that add some value to club. The food items are no better and in some cases less than you find at a Holiday Inn express. The cast members have no special “powers” for ADRs, events, etc.

We have found a nice grocery delivery to be more useful than walking to the lounge. I do feel the services / provisions have changed over the past 5 years or so.

Final issue I have is with some guests who treat the lounge like a buffet and exhibit generally inappropriate behavior.

Save your money. You aren’t missing a thing. We now choose Riverside over staying club at any of the deluxe resorts. A well placed, staffed and sourced food court is preferable to our family.

“Final issue I have is with some guests who treat the lounge like a buffet and exhibit generally inappropriate behavior.”

So true…it’s almost reason enough not to venture into the lounge

We are actually staying at Club Level next week! Thanks for the review! We really enjoy The Beach Club and love the little extras of staying at Club Level. I get the impression some of you aren’t that impressed but we love it! 🙂 Can’t wait to get there!!

Hi Farleyc,

Any day at Disney is a great day to be at Disney. Enjoy your vacation!!

I understand the negatives and the positives and in some way the negative observations are correct. I don’t feel the Conceirge planning castmembers are particularly helpful for Disney obsessives (like myself) and the food can be hit or miss. That being said, we usually stay concierge because we like the snacks and the drinks, and make use of it.

And as Julia said, any day at Disney is a great day! (Unfortunately I have to wait until January 2015…)

The only reason to stay at concierge level is because that is where the nice suites are located. Otherwise there is nothing above and beyond the service you receive at non-concierge….unless you really just have an affinity for free mediocre snacks (they are excellent at setting out trays of food and picking up trash/left overs). The couple small services that I have requested of the concierge staff (Boardwalk resort) were never followed through upon. The house keeping is also pretty inconsistent. We have even had inconveniences created by the concierge staff not completing the check-in and set-up process correctly. If you are not expecting much “extra service”, then I think most guests will have a pleasant experience in concierge level.

I absolutely agree that the location of the rooms were wonderful for us, and our view wasn’t bad either. I do wonder if Disney will step up the concierge service with the opening of the Four Seasons or if they expect that people looking for that level of service will simply go over there. It is a shame that you didn’t get the service you should have considering the extra that one has to pay to stay up there.

I didn’t realize there was free beer and wine and cordials! This could be cost saving for us LOL

Don’t get too excited…the options for beer, etc. are poor to mediocre selections.

We loved this part. We would return to the hotel to get dressed and ready for dinner and swing by for a glass or two of wine before heading out. We tended to order less wine at dinner since we just had some. While the selection wasn’t spectacular, we sufficed. Beer selection was okay, nothing to write home about.

If you’re a craft beer enthusiast (or have a particular brand that you like) or a wine aficionado, then you may be a bit disappointed. However, if you just want to have a beer or a glass of wine and aren’t picky about the kind, it is a nice perk. For me, I think the cordials are a decent selection. I tried Amarula during our first stay on Club level and absolutely adore it now — it is what gives zebra domes their signature flavor.

Thanks for sharing your observations. We often stay concierge at Grand Floridian and have similar thoughts as yours. It’s nice, but at $60 pp is it really worth it…and since we are Disney veterans we don’t really need planning services.

We also go-back-and-forth on if it helps or hinders early park arrivals. When we eat breakfast in the room, we can eat while getting ready. When we eat breakfast, downstairs, in concierge we have to be ready.

The one thing I really like is the fancy automated espresso/capuccino machine, a feature you did not mention about your resort.

Yeah, I’m a rarity — a writer who isn’t a fan of coffee. 😉

The coffeemaker in the Beach Club lounge really didn’t stand out to me — it was just a “push the button and out comes hot liquid of various flavors (cappuccino, latte, decaf, hot water, etc.)” dispenser. (Something similar to: http://www.bloomberg.com/image/ihQxE2IMjWsg.jpg ).

I did some looking at pictures of the Grand Floridian Club Level lounge and it looks like a very different machine that grinds beans fresh on the spot. Is that the type of machine you saw? If so, I’d be curious if that type of machine is still there or not. I’ll ask around to see if anyone staying at different Club levels can confirm whether all coffee machines are the same. That isn’t a deal-breaker for me, but if it is another example of cost cutting measures, I’d bet that there would be some very disappointed people!

I do know that between my first Club stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge and here, Disney has changed types of tea that they have. It used to be TeaLeaves brand (which I love), but now it is Twinings (which isn’t bad…but it isn’t noteworthy).

The coffee/espresso machine at Grand Flordian is a commercial Gemini Nepresso machine. It does not grind beans, but uses foil pods and has a fresh milk container that foams milk as it brews.

The only concierge espresso machine I have seen (at a Disney property) that grinds beans, in an automated machine, is on the Disney Dream. It was very cool. When we traveled non-concierge on the Magic earlier this year, I missed that machine, but made up for it with the soft-serve ice cream machine by the pool 🙂

Just looked at a video on YouTube of the Nespresso Gemini — and that is one cool coffee maker. That’s not what was in the Stone Harbor Lounge, though. No milk foamer-heater, no foil pods. Just a glorified Keurig at the BC compared to that machine. 🙁

Maybe I can convince my husband that we need to stay at the Grand Floridian for a weekend so he can let me play with the coffee machine (and then have him drink whatever I make…waste not, want not!).

Thanks for the info!

P.S. I agree — soft-serve ice cream machines make everything better!

Glad to hear you had a positive experience at the BC. We had quite the opposite last December. We tried to dismiss the first few mishaps as flukes, but there were so many that we couldn’t ignore. We are going to try club level again this January, this time at Wilderness Lodge.

We were able to cancel breakfast reservations on two days because the morning buffet was more than plentiful, plus we asked for bottled water each day. That plus a few glasses of wine was more than enough (in our minds) to offset the extra cost per night.

Hi MeLissa,

Ouch — sorry to hear that your stay at BC was less than magical. Here’s hoping that WL works out better for you!

I completely agree with you about not needing to eat breakfast elsewhere if you’re staying at Club level. There’s certainly no shortage of food there!

We just stayed club level at wilderness. It was our first club level experience. It was nice but it won’t be as hard as we thought not to stay club level again. The water situation at WL was that they would fill up your own bottles for you. We did have milk in cartons though.

Glad to hear that there may still be hope for milk in cartons at Club level. We’ve stayed at different levels of accommodations in between our last Club stay and this one, and it wasn’t hard at all to “go without” by staying non-Club level. Then again, I’m one of those people who just enjoy staying at Disney, so you could put me in a room over at Pop Century and I’m as happy as a lark. 🙂

You can ask a CM for as many bottles of Dasani that you’d like. We averaged 12 a day for our family back in Jan and there was no problem they’re just not out.

I’ve heard it is hit or miss at this point — talking with people after I wrote this, some people have said that they were able to get bottles of water at different Club levels and some said that they weren’t. My guess is that they’re trying to phase out bottles of water altogether the way they have completely phased out cartons of milk and bottles of juice (which they will get you a *cup* of either of those, but no bottles or cartons are available anymore). But with all things Club level, it never hurts to ask. 🙂

Just as an aside, you can ask the CM for as many bottles of Dasani as you would like, they just don’t have the out. We averages about 12

All of the Benefits of Staying Club Level at Disney World Hotels

By Lisa Gilmore Leave a Comment

If you’ve decided to book a Disney World Deluxe Resort, you’ve probably already looked over all of the price points, and the amenities help you make that decision.

disney tourist blog club level

It’s so grand

If you’re going to splurge on a Deluxe Resort, could it be worth it to spend a wee bit more for that super posh experience to stay Club Level?

We’re gonna dive into the details of staying “Club Level” at Disney World Resorts . Where you can find it, what you can expect with your stay, how much it’ll cost you, and if it’s worth it for your ideal vacation.

Before we dig into the meat and potatoes of what’s available at the Club Level, let’s recap what all is included in the Deluxe Resorts , in general.

There are plenty of reasons why you may want to stay at a Disney World Deluxe Resort hotel on your next vacation. For starters, these hotels offer top-tier amenities . If you want to stay on Disney World property and have the ultimate luxury experience, then the deluxe hotels are going to be where you’ll want to look first.

Polynesian Resort

The deluxe hotels feature highly themed resort grounds and guest rooms, with tons of attention to every detail. Most have multiple pools to lounge by and enjoy (BTW, some of the deluxe hotels have the best pools on Disney World property ), as well as fitness centers, room service , and well-stocked gift shops.

There are also multiple dining options at each deluxe hotel. While the Value Resorts only offer counter service dining, and the Moderate Resorts are typically limited to just one table service restaurant, Disney World’s Deluxe Resort hotels offer multiple table service restaurants , some of which are among the best dining across Disney World property .

Signature dining options and character dining options are exclusively available the deluxe hotels. Resorts like Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa are worth a visit, even if you aren’t an overnight guest just for the dining!

disney tourist blog club level

This was plated beautifully!

Most deluxe hotels offer their guests multiple transportation options to get to and from the theme parks, and most deluxe hotels are usually pretty close ( sometimes within walking distance ) to at least one of the parks!

There are, of course, the Monorail resorts: Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa — just minutes from Magic Kingdom. Disney’s Riviera Resort is located along the Disney Skyliner route, which gives guests quick access to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Another BIG perk (pun very much intended) is the larger size guest rooms ! Some Disney World hotels have notoriously tight accommodations, but the deluxe hotels are sometimes the exception to that rule. In some cases, you’ll find that the deluxe hotels give you plenty of elbow room.

Refurbished Guest Rooms at the Polynesian

Finally, staying at a Deluxe Resort makes you eligible for Disney World’s extended evening theme park hours. On select nights, certain parks will remain open past normal operating hours — but unlike Extra Magic Hours, which were available to all on-property resort guests , these extended evening hours are ONLY for guests staying at Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Resorts . This exclusivity could make for even lighter crowds, which is indeed a neat perk.

What is club level.

Club Level is a special room category at select Disney Resort Hotels that offer extra perks! If you’re staying in Club Level accommodations, you will have access to a special lounge that offers snacks and beverages throughout the day. While the offerings vary by resort, typically you’ll find light continental-style breakfast options in the morning, afternoon snacks and beverages, and the evenings provide small dishes that are “tapas” or small-bite style, as well as wine, beer, and cocktails. Those who book a Club Level room also receive planning help before their visit and a dedicated Concierge Desk on-site to help you get any last-minute Advance Dining Reservations and other vacation add-ons like tours or dessert parties.

Chronos Club at Gran Destino Tower

The Concierge at Club Level is open between 7AM and 10PM and is usually found near the Club Level Lounge and can help with MagicBands, tickets, dining, recreation, transportation, and even provide recommendations for a daily itinerary. If you’re staying Club Level, you’ll be checked in at an exclusive area and escorted up to the Club Lounge. Once you’re checked in, you’ll receive a sort of Club Level “orientation” to let you know the services provided to you. You’ll also be introduced to the Concierge Cast Members, who can help you set up any resources or special services during your stay.

Club Level guests also receive a nightly turn-down service, complete with pillow mints or chocolates.

Another Look at the Beds

Club Level areas are usually restricted by levels or floors and tend to only be accessible with a MagicBand, MagicMobile, or key card that is linked to a Club Level reservation. This ensures that Club Level benefits are only used by those who have paid for the service.

The Pros and Cons of Staying at a Disney World Moderate Resort

Where can you find club level.

Each of the Deluxe Resorts offers a Club Level, and there is an additional Club Level option at Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs Resort, the only Moderate Resort with a Club Level (so far).

disney tourist blog club level

Animal Kingdom Lodge

  • Royal Palm Club Level in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
  • Atrium Club Level in Disney’s Contemporary Resort
  • Chronos Club Level in Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs Resort
  • Kilimanjaro Club Level in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
  • King Kamehameha Club Level in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
  • Old Faithful Club Level in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
  • Stone Harbor Club Level in Disney’s Beach Club Resort
  • Regatta Club Level in Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
  • Innkeepers Club Level in Disney’s Boardwalk Inn Resort

How Much Does It Cost?

The cost of staying Club Level ranges from around +$200/night to +$700/night depending on the resort, room tier, and season. Generally, the more expensive the hotel and room category, the greater the added cost.

disney tourist blog club level

Center Area

When we looked at a stay at the Grand Floridian in early November, a standard “Outer Building-Garden View” room was priced at $904 per night. The lowest-tiered Club Level room, “Main Building-Standard Room” is priced at $1,498 per night. That’s almost a $600 increase, per night.

If you plan to save some pennies, but still wanna live it up and are looking at Gran Destino Tower, the same time of year in a “Tower Standard Room” will cost at least $440 per night. And the lowest-tiered Club Level room, “Tower-Standard View” is priced at $714 per night. That’s $274 above the standard room cost.

disney tourist blog club level

If any discounts are being offered, like Annual Passholder Discounts or Florida Resident Discounts for room-only bookings, those can be applied to Club Level rooms as well, depending on the season, availability, and the terms of the discount (gotta read that fine print!).

Disney World Deluxe Resort List and Ranking

What is included in club level at disney world.

You may be disappointed to learn that even though you could be paying $600 more per night than other rooms, your actual room doesn’t look any different. Unless you’re opting into a suite, your Club Level room will likely look just like the ones on the lower floors. What you’re paying for isn’t an enhanced room, but access to the Club Lounge and the extra services provided by the Club Level Concierge Cast Members.

disney tourist blog club level

We love Cast Members!

Speaking of those extra services, let’s temper those expectations. We’ll be the first ones to wave our Cast Member Support Flags and cheer and shout for all they do to make Disney vacations special. However, the Concierge service is not the magic wand, miracle-granting service you might be expecting for the price tag. If you’re expecting for a Concierge Cast Member to magically secure dinner for a party of 8 at Be Our Guest with just two hours’ notice, that’s not the kind of service they provide.

disney tourist blog club level

Check-In Desk

In fact, if you’re anticipating a comparable experience to services provided at other luxury resorts like Waldorf Astoria, Four Seasons, or Park Hyatt, you may find yourself dissatisfied.

Concierge Cast Members a great at making some personal recommendations or offering a fun and entertaining interaction. They can even provide you with some unique insight about the parks you’re visiting and the history or trivia about the resort. Many of the same reasons we love so many Cast Members. But suppose you’re looking for super-specific, individualized, even border-line miraculous service. In that case, you’d actually be better off using a certified Disney travel agent (like Small World Vacations ) for that magic-wand kind of assistance.

disney tourist blog club level

The primary selling point of booking Club Level is access to those Club Lounges. With access to snacks and beverages from 7AM until 10PM, if you plan it right, you can fill up in the Lounge instead of stressing about dining reservations. You’ll get the most value if you plan to eat multiple meals in the lounge. Most people will take advantage of continental breakfast, but not lunch, dinner, or late night desserts, as they’re busy enjoying the parks.

disney tourist blog club level

Cereal Dispensers

As we mentioned, breakfast is pretty much a Continental-style option. You’ll find some pastries, fruit, yogurt, cold cuts, cereal, coffee, juice, hot chocolate, and even some espresso machines for your morning cappuccino. You may also find a limited variety of warm options, like oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, or grits.  The main takeaway is that these breakfast options won’t rival Whispering Canyon or Tusker House , but do provide a decent assortment of “grab and go” options as you head out for your day in the parks.

disney tourist blog club level

Trail Mix and Goldfish

The light afternoon snacks are just like they sound — chips, packaged cookies or other sweet bakery items, trail mix, hummus and pita, a selection of vegetables, and various other random things. This is definitely NOT lunch, but some nice, portable snacks if you’re planning to spend the afternoon by the pool, or want some things to snack on in the room while the little ones nap.

The evening small plates tend to offer the most value and “bang for the buck.” But if you’re planning to capitalize on it, you’ll want to set your clock, because it’s typically only available between 5PM and 7PM. There are usually plenty of small plate dishes that are prepared by chefs in the resort’s restaurants. These tend to be very good, despite being appetizer-sized. But remember, you’re not ordering off a menu, what’s offered is what it is. Though you can usually find some kid-friendly options like tater tots and dinner rolls, you may also find other small plate versions of short ribs or salmon fillets. So, if you have a family full of picky eaters, “making a meal” out of this appetizer service likely won’t satisfy anyone in your party. As with any buffet-style service, it’s best when it’s fresh. So, if you want to maximize this option, get there as close to 5PM as you can, as by 7PM you will likely find the options pretty picked over and not being replenished.

disney tourist blog club level

Assortment of sweets to choose from

Finally, from 8PM to 10PM, you’ll find some dessert options. If you’ve ever been to one of Disney’s Fireworks Dessert Parties, or even a standard buffet in Disney World, you’re familiar with the dessert options. Mostly cookies, brownies, and mini-cupcakes. Some may have a special flourish, or you may find a verrine or mousse option. And, of course, you can enjoy wine and beer with your sweet treat.

CHANGES Announced for the Fireworks Dessert Parties and Dining Packages in Disney World

When you combine the general perks and benefits awarded to the Deluxe Resort guests along with the enhanced perks of staying Club Level, you might find yourself too spoiled to ever stay at a Value Resort, again. You’ll get some of the best service and attention Disney can offer, but you’d have to weigh that price tag to see if those resort perks provide that value to your Disney vacation, or if you’ll be spending more time in the parks than to warrant that additional price.

A Resorts Gal Review of Staying Club Level at Disney’s Beach Club

Staying club level at Disney’s Beach Club is a treat. It’s so much a treat that staying on the club-level floor will leave you feeling like you’re living your best life during your Disney vacation. If you’ve ever considered staying club level at Walt Disney World, you might have some reservations about the price. That’s completely understandable—it’s expensive.

This year alone, a standard club level room at Disney’s Beach Club averages between $811.00 and $1436.00 per night. Those ranges are based on the season, with no room discounts applied. So, if you obtain a room discount or package deal, the rate will likely be less. However, it will still be pricey. A stay on the club level or concierge floor at Disney’s Beach Club is an investment.

This review of the club level at Disney’s Beach Club will discuss our experience and the benefits of staying in this type of offering. Additionally, I’ll provide an overview of Disney’s club-level offering that answers common questions about the service.

I was immediately intrigued when I first heard that Disney’s Beach Club offered a concierge floor. I began researching this opportunity because it sounded like something my family would enjoy.

At the time, we traveled to Disney often but had never heard of a club-level experience. Little did I know that all the deluxe resorts at Disney offered a concierge floor. As I began researching, I had difficulty finding valid or up-to-date information about staying at the club level. I even started checking an online forum that had a club level thread. Unfortunately, there weren’t many updates specific to the club level at Disney’s Beach Club.

If you’ve ever read our Disney’s Beach Club Resort Review , you know it’s my favorite resort at Disney. So, I was surprised that I had not discovered the Stone Harbor Club.

Stone Harbor Club is the name of the club level lounge at Disney’s Beach Club. Located on the 5th floor, it’s exclusive to club level guests. So, in the spirit of trying new things, I reserved a club level stay for our next vacation. Many vacations later, I can affirm we enjoy the club level at Beach Club immensely. We have become pros at the whole club level thing. But as I mentioned above, club level is expensive.

For those who plan to spend most of their days in the parks, it’s probably not the right choice unless you’re looking for exclusivity. However, the club level is worth considering for those who sleep late, come in from the parks early, or know they’ll spend a balanced amount of time at the resort.

Therefore, it’s important to discern whether or not you’ll make the most of the concierge floor. The last thing you’ll want is to spend extra money on this kind of room and not take advantage of the offerings. With these thoughts in mind, I’ve included a few tips on how to space out dining reservations when planning your trip. I’ll also share how we like stashing late-night snacks in our room’s fridge.

What is Club Level?

Club Level is a special access floor that Walt Disney World offers guests who book this room type. The Stone Harbor Club at Disney’s Beach Club is located on the 5th floor, and guests must have MagicBand or room key privileges to access it. The photo below shows the special MagicBand scanner provided in the elevator. If you don’t use a band, a room card that also does the trick will be provided.

a magic band scanner in the elevator that you have to scan to access the club level floor

When you scan your band, the 5th-floor button automatically lights up. Occasionally, Disney places club-level guests on other floors to meet room requests. However, you’ll still have these same magic band privileges to access the lounge.

Club Level is kind of an all-day smorgasbord or grazing fest. The lounge has five services throughout the day. Soda, beverages, beer, and wine are also provided in the afternoon and evening. Here’s a list of some of the perks included with a club level stay:

  • Club Lounge Daily Services and Food Offerings
  • Turndown Service
  • Concierge Staff at Guests Disposal
  • Special Welcome

Checking in to the Club Level at Disney’s Beach Club

We arrived Sunday morning at Disney’s Beach Club via our car. We drove to the entrance and had a bellman put our items on a luggage cart. The bellman will store your items until your room is ready. We had a little time to kill, so I decided to see if early check-in was available. I had alerted the staff through the My Disney Experience app that we would arrive before standard check-in time.

Upon entering the hotel and heading over to the guest services desk, I was greeted by a resort manager. I was at the back of the line, and she asked if she could help. For reference, club level guests are often greeted outside upon arrival. Therefore, I assumed she had been alerted that we had come through the gate when we arrived.

The manager quickly identified us as club level guests. One member of our party was parking the car, so we stood in the lobby and talked for a few moments, waiting for his return. Then she escorted us up to the club level floor. We were greeted by two cast members sitting at desks outside the lounge. They presented us with this letter detailing the lounge hours and a few other things.

Club Level Welcome Letter to Disney's Beach Club Stone Harbor Club

Club-level cast members are typically available from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. This personal concierge service is to help assist with any needs during your stay. For example, if you wanted to purchase additional tickets, they could help you with that.

Regarding the welcome letter, I would advise you to take a screenshot of the service times on your phone after receiving it. That way, you can quickly and easily reference the service times for food and beverage offerings during the day. There will undoubtedly be times when you think you might want dessert and can’t remember when the service starts. Or you might be like me and sleep late after a long night at Magic Kingdom.

Then, in the morning, you’ll find yourself lying in bed, wondering if you can still make it to the lounge for breakfast. If that’s the case, roll over, grab your phone, and refer to the screenshot. As far as offerings go, a continental breakfast (with some hot offerings) is provided. Additionally, we have found the dinner offerings enough to make a meal.

We usually enjoy dinner in the lounge on days when we’ve had a late lunch or have been snacking in the parks. Often, the lounge is a suitable replacement for the days you don’t have dining reservations. However, we still like to do two nice restaurants for dinner throughout a week’s stay. After arriving on the concierge floor, we were informed our room wasn’t ready yet. A cast member suggested we visit the lounge and have breakfast or beverages before it closed for the next service changeover.

You can use the lounge any time on your arrival day. However, it will briefly close for small increments while cast members change out the offerings and tidy up the service area. You can also use the lounge on the day you check out. It’s an excellent place to relax if you have a late flight on your travel day. Club level guests can access the lounge until 10:00 p.m. on their check-out day.

Standard Club Level Room at Beach Club

Shortly after our arrival, we received a room-ready text notification. When we returned, I was immediately offered a welcome drink. It was a sparkling wine mixed with something pink. This is a non-advertised perk that should be offered upon your arrival along with the welcome letter.

Our room number was 5714. It was a standard view club level room with a view out to the resort’s bus stop. To the far right, we could also see a glimpse of Spaceship Earth.

Club-level rooms are the same as the rest of the standard resort rooms unless you have an upgraded room. So, you won’t find any special room upgrades. We’ve updated this article to provide photos of the new rooms at Disney’s Beach Club.

Upon our arrival, we found a box of Ganachery chocolates and the kindest note from the hotel’s manager.

These kinds of things are so unexpected and appreciated when they happen. That extra touch solidifies our stays at the Walt Disney World Resort. No, these kinds of things don’t happen all the time, but we are not soon to forget when they do.

Stone Harbor Club Level

The Stone Harbor Club Level offers several services throughout the day. Most of these services are restricted to certain times. Between those services, the lounge might be closed for small periods so the staff can clean.

If you return to your room at approximately 4:15 p.m. and find the lounge closed, you can ask a cast member to provide a drink or snack. However, at 10:00 p.m. each evening, the staff retires, and the lounge closes.

Below is a list of the different services throughout the day:

  • Continental Breakfast
  • Light Snacks
  • Hors d’oeuvres and Select Beverages
  • Desserts and Cordials

Additionally, the Stone Harbor Club Lounge has a seating area. Some people enjoy taking food to their rooms, while others prefer the lounge. We typically prepare a plate and head back to the room with it. However, sometimes we use the lounge.

Disney’s Beach Club Club Level Offerings

Here is a preview of a few items we had throughout the week of our stay. A different flavor of quiche was available daily during breakfast. Below is a photo of one with Canadian Bacon and cheddar.

Each morning, we found a spread of sliced meats, cheese, and smoked salmon with accompaniments.

A bakery box provided an assortment of bagels, regular bread, muffins, and croissants. A toaster was available. Condiments included butter, spreads, jams, jellies, and cream cheese.

Other items, like fruit, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, and pastries, were available during breakfast service. Here are a few more photos.

Pastry Selection

After breakfast, the entire area is cleared. A few jars of snacks and candies are placed throughout the lounge.

a counter with three jars of candy like Starbursts, Jolly Ranchers, and Dum Dums

These snack mix items are worth trying. We usually grab a few disposable cups and fill them to take to the pool. Soda, coffee, water, juice, and beer are readily available. If you don’t see something, you can ask, and a cast member will provide it if possible. You might consider packing a small, foldable cooler. It will be handy to carry a couple of drinks to the pool.

Usually, the most extensive spread is during the evening. Healthy options are almost always available, like vegetables and dips.

Another area has a variety of cheese, crackers, and charcuterie.

Hot soup is offered nightly. This New England clam chowder is delicious.

Each evening, the chef prepares an item called the chef’s special. Some of the chef’s specials throughout our stay were:

  • Beef and onion jam crostini
  • New England seafood roll
  • Bacon-wrapped scallops
  • Mac-and-cheese bar with toppings

Here are a few more items: Ceviche Style Poached Shrimp

On another evening, we had soy-glazed salmon with lentils.

You will find cupcakes and other sweet treats for desserts and cordials. Items below include cookies, chocolate, and cupcakes with a toppings bar.

With so many options, it’s difficult to choose. Thankfully, most of these items are bite-size, making it easy to try several things. Here, we have pastries, white chocolate bark with nuts and dried fruit, and more cookies.

You’ll likely find yourself looking for “more of” that favorite thing you had the previous evening. These items include brownies, rice crisp treats, a sugar-free tart, and a flourless chocolate cake shaped like Mickey Mouse towards the end.

Here is coffee with various creams and flavor add-ons.

Most of the lounges have a machine that instantly makes various specialty coffee drinks. Below is a photo of the one at the Chronos Club Level at Gran Destino Tower . From my understanding, this machine replaced the former Nespresso machines that were previously available in all the lounges. If you enjoy a specialty coffee, you must try it. But don’t get too attached. After researching the price, I can’t believe that Disney allows guests to use these things.

an Egro machine that makes coffee

A cast member is usually available to pour wine and champagne during dinner. During dessert, a tray of cordials appears. It has been our experience that a cast member will provide a glass of wine throughout the day, even when it’s not freely available in the lounge.

Evening Cordials include Disaronno, Courvoisier, Amarula, and Kahlua

When we have plans for a late evening, we usually attend the evening service for dinner and stay until the lounge opens for desserts. Then, we’ll prepare a plate of desserts and grab a few glasses of wine to take back to the room. We store the desserts in the room fridge and cover our wine with napkins.

various room temp wines, beer, and refrigerated wines

Then, we’ll head out for fireworks or a park offering extended evening hours for deluxe resort guests. Since the lounge closes at 10:00 p.m., it won’t be available by the time we return. However, we’ll have a late-night snack waiting in the room.

These kinds of things are so enjoyable to us. However, we are spoiled because we visit the parks often. We also enjoy spending time at the resort. This upgrade might not be necessary or beneficial for those trying to maximize their time in the parks.

Turndown Service at Disney’s Beach Club

One other service makes up part of club-level–turndown service. This is similar to the evening service you would expect on a cruise. A housekeeping cast member will stop by your room between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. They will turn down your bed covers or remake them if you have taken a nap.

Additionally, they will replace any towels or linens you have used since the room was last cleaned. They will also leave chocolates on your pillow. I know this extra touch might sound silly to some. But it’s the little things that have a way of making your stay more than memorable.

Update: We have not had turndown service on our last few club levels stay.

The Resorts Gal Spin on Club Level at the Beach Club

At this point, you probably have a good idea of whether or not the club level at Disney’s Beach Club is right for your group. However, it might be worth emphasizing some pros and cons.

First, let’s touch on dining reservations. It’s no secret that Disney World has tons of restaurants that you’ll probably want to enjoy during your trip. If you plan a lot of dining reservations, it is doubtful that you’ll benefit from a club level stay.

Next, how much time will you spend at the resort? I can’t stress enough how important it is to plan your days and breaks when staying club level. The last thing you want is to fork out the extra money and then end up not using the lounge to your advantage. You do not want to be at Magic Kingdom and realize it’s 6:00 p.m., and you probably won’t make it back in time for dinner. This will force you to pay for dinner elsewhere while feeling guilty for paying so much for something you’re not using.

Location-wise, you can’t beat the proximity of Beach Club to Epcot. Since the Beach Club is a short walk to the park, you can quickly return to the resort. Or you can walk over to enjoy fireworks in the evening with valid park admission. When staying at the Beach Club, we think having the park hopper option is essential for the extra time at Epcot.

So is club level at the Beach Club worth it? We think so if you plan to spend adequate time at the resort, will use the lounge, and don’t have a ton of dining reservations. We had a club level stay at the Beach Club a few years back where I planned too many fine dining reservations, and I knew better. While I didn’t regret staying at the club-level, I did regret feeling like I had to be so many places throughout the week. We ended up cancelling a few reservations when I realized my mistake. But it was a reminder not to try to do too much.

Hopefully, this review of staying club level at Disney’s Beach Club gave you a complete overview of the experience. We have always thoroughly enjoyed the times we’ve stayed club level and look forward to returning.

Very, very stupid question, but are there sugar free syrups for the coffees?

Hi, unfortunately, I don’t remember, sorry.

Thank you so much for all this information. We were thinking about Beach Club / Club Level for our next trip to Disney. Its our favorite too. Super helpful for planning, great tips to guide our decision. Best, S

Welcome, I hope you’ll enjoy your trip!

Wow, great detailed article, exact details on Club Levels is difficult to find. Question on the beer and wine, what time does that service start? I can’t tell if it starts at Light Snacks hour or Hors d’oeuvres and beverages hour.

Thanks! Formally, wine and beer are available during Hors d’oeuvres. However, you can request beer to take to the pool during light snacks.

Were this pictures of food taken in February of 2022? I’m trying to gauge the current offerings of the lounge.

Hi Mary, they were not. But from what I’ve seen so far, they are offering many of the same items.

We have stayed at beach club before, but not club level. Considering it but we have 2 young children – I know Disney is clearly very family orientated, but is the club level a more adult area? Would children, and the chaos they usually bring, be welcome in club?

Oh yes, the club level is very kid-friendly. They usually have a selection of items specifically for children during the evening hours that include items like rolls, apples with caramel dipping sauce, and sometimes chicken nuggets. There is also a children’s corner in the lounge with a television.

Do they have bottled water to take to the room? Diet soda in bottles?

Hi, from my experience they usually have filtered water that you can get in a glass and soda in cans.

Hello: This was very helpful thank you. Do they have laundry facilities on the concierge level?

Thank you. Whenever we’ve stayed club level, I’ve always taken my laundry to the Tidal Pool laundry area or the small one on the first floor. I’m not aware of any laundry areas on the 5th floor.
