Destiny unfolds unexpectedly. However, it pushes us exactly where we’re supposed to be at just the right time. In this respect, you could say the 2021 rebirth of GRAMMY® Award-nominated multi platinum rock band Fuel was simply meant to be.

After rebuilding their brotherhood, founder, guitarist, and songwriter Carl Bell and longtime drummer Kevin Miller didn’t just celebrate their history together. They rushed into the future joined by new blood—Aaron Scott [lead vocals, guitar] from The Voice, Mark Klotz [guitar, vocals], and Tommy Nat [bass, vocals]—and armed with their first album together in 18 years, Ånomåly. Much like the title suggests, it serves as the aberration rock music needs.

20th Anniversary of the Sunburn album and they sang it in its entirety. Brett sings his heart out and it doesn’t go unnoticed! Lifetime Fuel fan for sure, they rock! I will see them every time they’re in town.

Fuel is just such an amazing band to see. So full of energy and appreciation for their fans, they absolutely rocked the Starland Ballroom last night -- was such a great show!! The only downfall for me was Jason Womack was not there - a personal favorite of mine, he was sorely missed...but his replacement was very good also & the show went on in its amazing style as always!!

Happy 20th Anniversary Sunburn!!

I've seen Fuel 7 or 8 times in the last few years. I follow them from Texas to Oklahoma and Missouri. I have seen umerois venues and although I like The Lava Cantina in The Colony (outside Dallas) I feel the stage is too high to watch from the floor.

Last nites concert was a celebration of their anniversary for their previous album and they were on point. Bret looked quite the rocker in his vest and hat. Such a big change from his typical plaid shirt look. The pictures I took were awful from the shadows of the stage lights, but I have several other pictures from other shows.

Also wanna say a great big thanks for Jason's solo guitar time. He is such a thrill to listen to.

So, until the next show. So long for now. Please continue to post videos on social media. I love to see them. Best wishes!!

Fuel Return with “HÅRD,” Off Upcoming Sixth Album ‘Anomaly’

by Tina Benitez-Eves July 28, 2021, 10:52 am

There’s the universal pain of making the wrong decision and living with it. On their upcoming sixth album Ånomåly , out October 2021, Fuel explore the varying depths of regret on their first single “HÅRD.”

Videos by American Songwriter

“I hear people saying, you know, I just wanna have a life of no regrets,’” says guitarist Carl Bell. “Well, good luck with that. I understand the sentiment as a goal, but you aren’t going to make the right decision every time, and sometimes you may not know if you made the right decision for years or where the road not taken might have led you.”

Recently reunited with primary songwriter Bell and original drummer Kevin Miller, who parted ways with the band in 2004, Fuel’s current lineup features new singer John Corsale, guitarist Mark Klotz, and bassist Tommy Nat.

“HÅRD” is the first taste of the renewed Fuel and a follow-up to the band’s 2014 release Puppet Strings . To capture the visual elements of the song, the band shot the video in various locations on a sweltering, 100-plus degree day in Brooklyn, New York.

“I love a good storyline video but never liked how sometimes those types of videos can be confusing or detract from the music,” says Bell. “Many things have to happen correctly to pull off a video and sometimes the more moving parts and scenarios, the more things can go wrong. We just wanted to keep this video simple and honest and focus on the music.”

Bell adds, “As our former tourmates Aerosmith said, ‘let the music do the talking.’”

On the edgier of the 10 tracks of Ånomåly, Bell says he wanted to push Fuel’s sound, incorporating more drum loops and other elements for a more modern effect.

“I wanted to keep one foot in the past for our fans but have one foot into somewhat new territory,” says Bell. “When I was writing, producing, and mixing the record, I was thinking ‘what do I want Fuel to sound like in 2021.’ I think ‘HÅRD’ and the other songs on the album paint a really good picture of that, and from the feedback, we are already getting, it resonates. It’s a really interesting time for Fuel.”

FUEL Returns With New Singer JOHN CORSALE; Band Teases 'Hård' Single

Multi-platinum alternative rock icons FUEL have announce the upcoming release of their first album in seven years, "Ånomåly" , due out in October. The 11 original tracks were written by songwriter/guitarist Carl Bell reunited with original FUEL drummer Kevin Miller , accompanied by new singer John Corsale (lead vocals, guitar), Mark Klotz (guitar, vocals) and Tommy Nat (bass, vocals).

Founding member Bell , sole songwriter of all lyrics and music to all previous FUEL hits, returns to the helm as primary songwriter, and also as the producer. He even mixed the album. Carl wrote and recorded the songs in his Las Vegas studio with vocals recorded at Soundmine Recording Studio and King Studios in Pennsylvania.

Carl and Kevin recently shared a video of their emotional in-person reunion after a decade.

In a video posted on Facebook , fans reacted with the expected reverie as FUEL reignited their relationship with each other and with their fans.

"We were just patient with each other," Carl says. "From the first conversation, I recognized the same feeling in Kevin 's voice. FUEL was huge for us. It was a great moment in our lives, and Kevin was as grateful for the opportunities that FUEL gave us as I was. We bonded on that fact. I would've taken a bullet for him — I still would."

Kevin says: "For me, new beginnings are exciting, but more often than not, they scare the shit out of me. As much as I love touching my toe to new water, I'm always afraid of the creatures lingering in the depths.

"I am incredibly excited about this new venture and new lineup of FUEL . Making this record shed a lot of light on what will be, such an amazing amount of talent in this band."

Corsale hails from Pennsylvania and joins FUEL as Kevin and Carl reunite after a decades-long separation.

Carl adds: "A few months ago, I had no idea I would be returning to FUEL full time, so when it happened, my first call was to Kevin . He simply said, 'I have the band. I promise you, these are the guys.' He was right. All are great musicians, and John is this 26-year-old great guitarist as well as a great vocalist and frontman. He sounds fantastic on the album and amazing on our previous hits as well. From the moment I first heard him play and sing, I thought, 'Wow… This just got real interesting.'"

The first single from "Ånomåly" , "Hård" (the first song in the teaser),will be released on July 9, 2021 via Moon Chair Media / ONErpm and will introduce Corsale to fans eagerly awaiting this new music, also marking a new era for the iconic band.

Just before the turn-of-the-century, FUEL quietly emerged with a melodic brand of hard rock rooted in eloquent songwriting and heavy guitars. 1998's "Sunburn" not only went platinum, but it also yielded enduring anthems such as "Shimmer" and "Bittersweet" . Its 2001 follow-up, "Something Like Human" , earned a double-platinum certification and elevated them to arenas. The lead single "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)" would reach No. 1 for 13 weeks and would even become the No. 6 Alternative Rock song of the past 25 years, according to Billboard 's Alternative chart 25th anniversary: Top 100 Songs, making it "one of the Top Ten most-listened to alternative rock songs for the past 30 years." Their music appeared everywhere from "Prison Break" , "Daredevil" and "Scream 3" to WWE pay-per-view events. 2003's "Natural Selection" bowed in the Top 15 of the Billboard 200 and garnered a Grammy Award nomination in the category of "Best Engineered Album. Non-Classical." Their catalog continued to resound throughout popular culture as well. DAUGHTRY famously covered "Hemorrhage" on "American Idol" , while modern platinum rock juggernaut RED also released their own rendition, and HANDS LIKE HOUSES notably performed "Shimmer" on Triple J in Australia.

Rock band Fuel’s new lineup proves themselves more than worthy at hometown concert

I have been  a long time Fuel fan, since the 90's when drummer Kevin Miller, and then lead vocalist Brett Scallions hung out at Casey's bar on Front Street in Allentown . ( Formerly the Green Pine Inn).

Kevin Miller left the band in 2014, and Scallions in 2020, to pursue their own thing. In between that time , founder Carl Bell wrote a country solo cd, from his longtime home in Nashville.

Miller, had several successful bands over the years, starting with early 90's band Shotgun Wedding, then Fosterchild, and most recently his band, Pop Rock Party Band "Smashed"

It was in his most recent band , that he hooked up with the great players that would come to be the new reinvention of Fuel. With the new  addition of   vocalist John Corsale, guitarist Mark Klotz, and bassist Tommy Nat, he knew he had a winning team of musicians.

Kevin, who was Fuel's original drummer and friend, contacted Carl Bell, Fuel founder and told him he had the perfect band, and all Carl had to do is write.

With Covid restrictions, this was the perfect project for Carl to focus on, and sink his teeth into. The results were worth every minute he spent, and he was excited because this was to be the best lineup of musicians he had ever worked with.

The question was: Could Brett Scallions replacement on lead vocals, John Corsale cut it for both the old Fuel sound that fans had come to love, and the new 2021 sound? Could the band pull off the Fuel hits, and sound good on the new material?

The answer is a resounding yes! Corsale , who had vocal training with local musician, Connie Edinger, had nuances of Scallions vocals,  while maintaining his own identity. Not only did he have great stage presence, but also played great guitar as well.

The anticipated appearance of the new Fuel lineup and music, drew a crowd of  standing room only fans, which fell slightly under the 1000 capacity mark.

There was much appreciation evident by this crowd of faithful Fuel followers, that sang along to all their hits, as well as songs off their new Cd Anomaly.

The band was a tight knit unit, moving flawlessly from one song to the next, starting with  "Last Time",  and ending with all time favorite Fuel song, "Hemorrhage In my Hands".

With this new lineup, and what the  new cd says about Fuel, is to not discount them out of the current music scene, because they are back with a vengeance!

I look forward to hearing more music from Carl Bell and the boys, and seeing future concerts as well!

Review: Bad Bunny the bandido lights up the Wells Fargo Center on his ‘Most Wanted Tour’

Bad Bunny came to South Philly on Friday night for a sold-out show at the Wells Fargo Center.

It was the first time in Philadelphia for the Puerto Rican rapper, singer and influential cultural force — who was born Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio — since he headlined the Made in America festival in 2022.

The stop on his Most Wanted Tour was in support of his 2023 album Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana — which translates from Spanish to English as Nobody Knows What Is Going to Happen Tomorrow — and a thumping, infectious celebration of Latino pride.

The Inquirer’s Rosa Cartagena and Dan DeLuca went to the show. Here’s their review.

Dan DeLuca: Good morning after Bad Bunny, Rosa. We saw Bad Bunny take the stage following an overture by the Philharmonic Orchestra Project (led by Grammy-winning conductor Carlitos Lopez), ride a horse, and entertain fans while looking down on them from a floating skybridge. How’d you like it? What were the highlights for you?

Rosa Cartagena: I am still so pumped. Sore, but energized. Bad Bunny is one of the artists who has defined my 20s. He’s delivered so much incredible music that has catapulted reggaeton, Latin trap, and Spanish-language music overall to a completely new level — all while simultaneously shining a spotlight on Puerto Rico’s political problems and resilience. My family and I love Bad Bunny and we have so much fun listening to him together, so what I was really excited to see was how the crowd reflected that, too: There were so many intergenerational families (including at least one abuela!) and it warmed my heart.

Inside the arena, the biggest highlight for me was his Latin trap section. Nadie Sabe was a great album, but I desperately wanted to hear such tracks as “Tú No Metes Cabra,” “Chambea,” and “Soy Peor.” I wish he performed more than snippets but I’ll take what I can get. He was his flirty, funny self — blowing kisses, waving, and winking at the crowd. The floating stage brought him closer to the fans at all seating levels and he had me tearing up at one moment when the lights went on and showed so many Puerto Rican flags, and he simply, quietly, soaked it all in from his perch.

Despite being a fan since the mix-tape days, I hadn’t seen him live before, but you’ve seen him a few times in Philly, right? How did this show compare?

D.D.: I’ve only seen him once before, actually. When he headlined Made in America in 2022, in the closing night show that, if the festival, which is canceled again this year, never comes back will go down as the last-ever MIA performance.

I enjoyed this more. What was cool about that MIA show was how he transformed the grounds into a Latinx dance party, making Jay-Z’s festival over in his own image and language. This was a really smartly staged arena show with top-shelf production — though the relationship between Bad Bunny and the audience is still what makes it special.

He did a lot of standing there and soaking in the adulation — it was a bit Evita -ish when he was on the floating stage, looking down on his people from the balcony. But who can blame him? The passion and appreciation for the ways he’s represented Latino culture and refused to compromise or cross over by rapping or singing in English is real. His audience loves him for it, as well they should.

Yeah, the Latin trap section was impressive. I could feel the bass coming up through the soles of my shoes.

Let’s talk about the staging. The orchestral introduction was classy, and created an Ennio Morricone Spaghetti Western vibe, fitting with the outlaw imagery of Nadie Sabe . A friend of mine on Facebook who’s also a non-Spanish speaker compared it to watching an Italian opera. You can be swept up by the emotion of the music, and the contours of the story reveal themselves.

R.C.: The orchestra definitely brought a level of class to the crowd ready for perreo — and that kind of genre-mashing surprise is part of why people love his sound. I see the bandido theme here almost in between Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter (which came out five months after Nadie Sabe ) and Taylor Swift’s brand-new The Tortured Poets Department , because it’s both bad boy and sad boy. (And unlike Beyoncé's country, he leans hard into Tex-Mex vaquero culture with a bolo tie and his mariachi-inspired outfit.)

But the resonance isn’t just contemporary. He also spotlights Puerto Rican folkloric music, like bringing plena performers to last year’s Grammys. Before he arrived onstage, the orchestra played an instrumental rendition of the iconic bolero by La Lupe, “Qué Te Pedi,” a beloved song that cuts across generations, proving what I heard from so many fans last night: He hasn’t forgotten his roots. It was also refreshing to hear his intimate, pared-down acoustic section, when he sat on the piano and crooned while holding a horse plushie.

D.D.: The piano section was sweet. Sitting on it, sort of like Michelle Pfeiffer in The Fabulous Baker Boys . It was impressive that he could pull off a cocktail lounge vibe in a massive arena. And before “Qué Te Pedi,” the intro music was Billie Holiday’s “I’ll Look Around.” Mood music of the highest order.

The filmed interlude of a masked man riding across the desert was like Clint Eastwood in a Sergeo Leone movie crossed with Max von Sydow in The Seventh Seal . But when Bad Bunny actually rode in on a horse it was anticlimactic, a brief video screen talking point. And I was glad it was short, though: I was worried the poor horse was going to freak out in a room with 20,000 people!

The setup with two stages, plus the floating sky bridge — that worked really well. And the lights were spectacular. It seemed almost everybody was wearing the light-up Bad Bunny boot necklaces synced to turn the room green or red, in rhythm with the music. The only show I’ve seen that used that trick so well was the Weeknd at the Linc a couple of summers ago.

R.C.: Breathtaking, for sure. The orb lights were versatile and dynamic, at one point making a bridge (like our own Benjamin Franklin). He threw down. The only thing Philly fans might have missed was “Acho PR,” the track where he shouts out Bryce Harper and the Phillies .

2024 Zurich Classic odds, picks, predictions: Golf expert fading Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry at TPC Louisiana

Sia nejad reveals his zurich classic 2024 picks, props, and sleepers for this week's pga tour event at tpc louisiana.

rory-mcilroy-usatsi.jpg

Nick Hardy and Davis Riley look to successfully defend their crown when they compete in the 2024 Zurich Classic, which begins Thursday at TPC Louisiana. After teaming up with different partners in 2022, Hardy and Riley got together for the event last year and took home the title as they set a tournament record with a 30-under par performance to finish two strokes ahead of the Canadian duo of Nick Taylor and Adam Hadwin. It was the second straight top-five finish in the event for Riley, who tied for fourth with Will Zalatoris as his teammate two years ago.

Hardy and Riley are 80-1 longshots to repeat, while 2022 champions Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele are 5-1 favorites in the latest 2024 Zurich Classic odds. Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry are listed at 8-1, Zalatoris and Sahith Theegala are 11-1 and Collin Morikawa and Kurt Kitayama are 16-1. Tom Hoge and Maverick McNealy, along with siblings Matt and Alex Fitzpatrick, round out the top choices at 25-1. Before locking in any 2024 Zurich Classic picks, make sure you see the PGA Tour predictions and best bets from golf betting and fantasy expert Sia Nejad .

Nejad specializes in betting and DFS in golf, among other sports. He's had incredible success in the outright and first-round leader markets, as well as in betting head-to-head matchups. He also has been solid with his head-to-head matchups since last year's Charles Schwab Challenge, going 40-27-3 and returning 9.14 units over that span. That's a $914 profit for $100 bettors since May 2023.

Nejad also nailed 75-1 longshot Wyndham Clark as the outright winner at the Wells Fargo Championship. In 2023, SportsLine debuted The Early Wedge, and in the first three months of the show, he hit two first-round leaders and three outright winners.

Now, Nejad has focused his attention on the 2024 Zurich Classic field and has locked in his best bets, top sleepers and favorites to avoid. See who they are at SportsLine .

Top 2024 Zurich Classic expert picks

One surprise: Nejad is fading the team of Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry, even though they are among the favorites at +800. After recording 13 top-10 finishes, which included two victories and a pair of runner-ups in 18 events last season, McIlroy has posted just one over eight tournaments thus far in 2024. That came earlier this month when the 34-year-old was third at the Valero Texas Open. Since then, McIlroy has reverted back to the dismal form with which he began the year, as he tied for 22nd at the Masters and 33rd at the RBC Heritage last weekend. The No. 2 ranked player in the world was no better than 21st in his first four events before finishing 19th at the Players Championship.

Considering his compatriot's struggles, Lowry could feel more pressure than usual will be thrust upon him. However, the 37-year-old hasn't had much more success this season either, with just two top-10 finishes in eight events. Lowry, who hasn't posted a victory on the PGA Tour since winning the Open Championship in 2019, tied for fourth in the Cognizant Classic in early March and followed with a third-place performance in the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Since then, he has tied for 19th, 43rd and 64th in three outings.

However, Nejad is high on the chances of Will Zalatoris and Sahith Theegala, who are listed at 11-1. Theegala set a career high last season with eight top-10 finishes, the last being his first PGA Tour win at the Fortinet Championship. The 26-year-old has begun this year in strong fashion, recording five top-10s in his first 11 events to match Ludvig Aberg for third-most in 2024. Theegala was runner-up at the Sentry in his season debut and is coming off another runner-up performance at the RBC Heritage last weekend.

Zalatoris did not fare as well in Hilton Head, tying for 44th place, but he has finished in the top 10 in three of his nine outings this season. The 27-year-old's best result of the year came at the Genesis Invitational in February, when he and Luke List were runners-up after finishing three strokes behind Hideki Matsuyama. Zalatoris is eager for a chance at another top-five finish in this tournament after missing last year's edition as he recovered from back surgery.  See which other teams to back at SportsLine .

How to make 2024 Zurich Classic picks

Nejad has locked in his best bets for the 2024 Zurich Classic and is backing several longshot teams, including one that is priced at more than +3000. This team has a member who "may be coming into form" and is a longshot that could surprise.  You can see Nejad's PGA Tour picks only at SportsLine .

So which teams should you target or avoid for the 2024 Zurich Classic, and which team in the   Zurich Classic 2024 field could bring a huge payday at more than +3000? How To Get Ed Sheeran Tickets In 2024

If Sheerios want to see Ed Sheeran live this year, they won’t have to travel all the way to the castle on the hill. The 33-year-old English singer kicked off his +–=÷× tour (also known as the Mathematics tour) in Dublin, Ireland all the way back in April 2022 and he’ll finally end its run in September 2024. There are three cities left for Sheeran to hit in the United States before he visits Europe and South America. Here’s everything we know about how to get Ed Sheeran tickets before the tour ends.

Ed Sheeran is hitting the road again for his "Mathematics" tour, and we've got the details on how to ... [+] get tickets.

How To Choose A Mattress, Based On Your Sleep Style And Budget

Thuma bed frame review: a sleek, modern and sturdy choice, where to buy tickets to the “+–=÷×” tour.

You might usually turn to Ticketmaster for concert tickets, but that’s not the best source for tickets to Sheeran’s shows. For one thing, his entire series of show dates isn’t offered on this platform, and some of his dates that are offered on TicketMaster are totally sold out. Here are your options:

  • Ticket reseller StubHub has seats for shows like the fast-approaching Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. There, prices start at a little over $200.
  • SeatGeek also has tickets to some U.S. shows, the cheapest going for just under $200.
  • Both StubHub and SeatGeek have tickets to many of Sheeran’s international concerts as well.
  • Many of Sheeran’s shows take place at music festivals that often sell tickets directly on their websites. There are often different options, such as a day pass or a 3-day VIP package. For example, the Boston Calling Musical Festival , where Sheeran will play on May 24, currently has eight ticket options still available, with prices ranging from $194 to nearly $3,000.
  • Meanwhile, the BottleRock Napa Valley festival only has single-day general admission tickets left, going for $233 apiece; the four other ticketing options are sold out.

When Do Ed Sheeran Tickets Go On Sale?

Tickets are on sale now and some of the shows—including July 12 in Poland, July 27 in the Czech Republic, and August 3 in Lithuania—have already sold out. Check out reseller sites like StubHub and SeetGeek to try to snag tickets to sold-out shows.

How Much Are Ed Sheeran Tickets?

Sheeran’s three American concerts start around $200 a ticket. For the international stops on his tour, ticket prices vary and use different currencies, based on location. For the Lucca Summer Festival in Italy, there are three different ticket options, ranging from €78 ($83) to €130 ($138). Other festivals have just one ticket option, such as Euro Fan Fest , which starts pricing at €69 ($73).

The cost can also vary depending on whether you buy a standing-only ticket or a seated one. For the Hipodrome show in Croatia , you can stand for €90 ($96) or sit starting at €100 ($106).

Some of Sheeran’s concert tickets are for sale in currencies besides the EUR or USD, including the Stavernfestivalen in Norway. Tickets on the Stavern festival’s website start at 190 NOK, which is the equivalent of about $17. Meanwhile, tickets to the Polsat Plus Arena in Poland cost 344 PLN, or $84. Prices for Sheeran’s Puskas Arena show in Hungary begin at 24,900 HUF, equating to $67.

Of course, currency rates change often, so make sure to check them before you buy your ticket to avoid any unwanted surprises. A good place to do that is using a Euros to Dollar converter or, for other European currency, a converter with rates for over 200 countries.

Share All sharing options for: Billy Horschel wins PGA Tour event amid historic finish, but there’s a catch

Corales Puntacana Championship - Final Round

Eleven months ago, after the first round of the Memorial Tournament, Billy Horschel stood in front of the media and fought back tears as he talked about his lack of confidence.

He had just fired a 12-over 84, which served as a metaphor for his struggles throughout the 2023 season. Horschel missed 10 cuts a year ago, which led to him missing out on the FedEx Cup Playoffs .

As such, Horschel did not meet the qualification requirements to play in this week’s RBC Heritage —the fifth Signature Event of the 2024 season . But he still wanted to play, knowing that his game was trending in the right direction.

So, he teed it up at the Corales Puntacana Championship in the Dominican Republic, an opposite full-field event.

The decision paid off.

Corales Puntacana Championship

Horschel began the final round three strokes behind Wesley Bryan, but he stormed past him and all the others to win by two. The former Florida Gator signed for a 9-under 63, which tied the course record, to win for the first time on the PGA Tour since the 2022 Memorial.

“This game of golf is so fickle. I think you can put a lot into it and get everything you want out of it,” Horschel said after his win on Sunday.

“But I knew in my 14 years, 13 years previously on the PGA Tour, that I had the ability, I had the talent. I just needed to continue to work hard, do the right things, and continue to believe that good stuff was going to come to the forefront at some point in time.”

Even though his victory did not come against the likes of Scottie Scheffler , Wyndham Clark , Rory McIlroy, or any other elite PGA Tour players, Horschel still holds this win—and other opposite field events—in high regard.

“The PGA Tour has a lot of tournaments, and it’s tough for every tournament to get its due. Opposite-field events have been crucial for many players coming up the ranks,” Horschel explained.

“Look at Tony Finau, Viktor Hovland winning in Puerto Rico, Matt Wallace won this. So listen, it’s another opportunity to play, it’s another opportunity to become a better player, to get that win on the PGA Tour. These events are crucial to the PGA Tour in the sense of the growth of the development of the players on the PGA Tour.”

8-under thru 12 @BillyHo_Golf leads by two after an eagle @CoralesChamp . pic.twitter.com/qkAjIiaKmI — PGA TOUR (@PGATOUR) April 21, 2024

Horschel’s victory in the Dominican Republic vaults him from 76th to 45th in the FedEx Cup rankings. The top 70 players earn entry into the FedEx Cup Playoffs, so yes, this win carries significant weight.

But Horschel would not have been able to finish the job without his strong psyche and ability to handle pressure down the stretch.

“I don’t like talking about myself but growing up, I always wanted the ball when I was a pitcher; I always wanted to be the guy at battle trying to drive in the winning run; I always wanted to have it on me,” Horschel explained.

“I think growing up and having that mentality, I have grown into Ioving being in the lead. I love having that spotlight on me; I love having everything on me, knowing that if I mess up, it’s my fault, and I am the one who can control my destiny. I’ve always been really good up near the lead, and today, I showed that a little bit.”

Horschel made five birdies on the front nine to soar toward the top of the leaderboard at the midway point of his round. True to himself, he did not fold down the stretch, but rather, he thrived. His eagle at the par-5 12th gave him a two-shot lead with six holes to play, and he never relinquished it.

The 33-show tour, produced by Live Nation, will feature support from Mudvayne and All That Remains.

The two-month tour will kick off on Aug. 2 in Rogers, AR before hitting cities in Texas, California, Nevada, Florida, North Carolina and more.

The band, comprised of vocalist and guitarist Dave Mustaine, bassist James LoMenzo, guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari and drummer Dirk Verbeuren, is known for songs "Holy Wars... The Punishment Due" and "Symphony of Destruction."

They most recently released their 2022 album "The Sick, The Dying...And The Dead!"

“Our ‘Crush The World’ tour has been a tremendous experience for the four of us,” said singer/guitarist Dave Mustaine in a statement.

“We are all playing tight, and that has made it possible for me to really focus on solos and singing, we are playing more songs than ever before, and we are closer to each other, onstage AND off. I’m excited to see Mudvayne, and All That Remains. Join us as we DESTROY ALL ENEMIES.”
