Summer Camp Field Trips:
Programs offered June 10 through August 23, 2024 For Pre-K through grade 8
Summer Camp field trips also include admission to the museum and an educational scavenger hunt through the museum exhibits. The program is geared towards 2nd – 8th grade students, but it is a fun, educational experience for students in all grades!
Cost per camper: $17 One free chaperone with every 5 campers Additional adults: $17
The program will last about an hour and the scavenger hunt takes about 45-60 minutes, so please plan on at least 90 minutes to 2 hours for the full experience.

Your group can’t take field trips? No problem – we’ll come to you in person or through Zoom!
Outreach A museum educator will come to your camp to share the program. This program lasts about an hour. Cost : $250 for up to 25 campers, additional programs on the same day would be $200.
Virtual A museum educator will present via an electronic format such as Zoom. If this is your preferred format, we will give you options regarding the chocolate elements of the presentation. This program lasts about 45 minutes. Cost: $99 for up to 25 campers

Service Description
Great for school groups, daycare centers, summer camps! First 10 kids are a flat $150. Every additional child is $12. Adult chaperones are free! Reserve your date and select from morning or afternoon times. Pay the day of your trip. Field trips are offered Monday-Friday. One morning group and one afternoon group. While we post available timeslots, we understand that one-size doesn't fit everyone. We can modify your arrival time with advance notice. Musuem opens at 9:30 Mon-Thurs and 9 am on Friday. Plan on 2 hours of playtime. If your group would like to have access to our large party room for BYO bag lunches, please let us know so we can check availability. For sanity purposes, we only welcome one Field Trip per session unless groups are very small. Please note: The museum will be open to the public during your visit. NOTE: Field Trips pricing is restricted to formal organizations recognized by the IRS and carry an EIN for the organization. Field Trips and related pricing is not available for family gatherings, play dates, organized individuals coordinating arrival times to achieve pricing discounts.
Cancellation Policy
Parties cannot be refunded for cancellation. We can reschedule parties with a $50 rescheduling fee. We may offer an exchange for memberships or tickets for cancellations prior to 45 days prior to your scheduled event.

Top 5 essentials to bring to a day at an amusement park.
There are many things to look forward to when planning a day with family and friends at Hersheypark , but packing usually isn’t one of them! And, with three Parks in one - Hersheypark amusement park, The Boardwalk At Hersheypark waterpark and ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park - the packing list just got a whole lot longer. So, let us help you!

1. Small bag or backpack
With all the walking and riding you will do, you may want to consider carrying a small bag or backpack to hold your phone, keys, wallet, etc. All guests and bags go through our Evolv security system at the entrance to the Park. The Evolv unit is an artificial intelligence-driven system using safe, ultra-low frequency, electromagnetic fields and advanced sensors to detect potential public safety concerns or items that violate Hersheypark policies. The Evolv units screen everyone who enters through the gates of Hersheypark without the need to hand over their belongings or even slow their pace. It is efficient and frictionless but please leave any unnecessary items in your vehicle .
Bags and loose articles are not permitted on rides but you can find complimentary lockers at Skyrush , sooperdooperLooper, Candymonium and Reese’s Cupfusion to store all personal belongings while you wait and ride. There are also lockers for rent at several locations in The Boardwalk for $18 and $25 depending on the size.
2. Comfortable walking shoes
Hersheypark requires all guests to wear some sort of footwear at all times during their visit to the Park. We suggest choosing a pair of sneakers or sandals with arch support and cushioning to ensure your feet remain comfortable and can keep you moving from ride to ride all day long! In The Boardwalk , we have shoe cubbies to hold your shoes while you enjoy water attractions.
3. Layers of clothing
The weather in Pennsylvania can be a bit unpredictable. As such, we recommend dressing in layers, so you are prepared for a sudden change in temperature, especially at night. Consider packing a sweatshirt or jacket for those cooler summer nights. You might also consider bringing a poncho in case of a passing summer storm. Remember, Hersheypark is open rain or shine - and there is still a lot to do when the weather is gloomy !
4. Water park attire
Did you know that The Boardwalk at Hersheypark , an 11-acre water park with one million gallons of water and 16 water attractions, is included with admission to Hersheypark from Memorial Day through Labor Day?
If you plan to splash around in the more than one million gallons of water, make sure to pack a bathing suit and towel. We do not provide towels so be sure to bring your own.
Please note that revealing bathing suits; shorts with rivets, snaps, zippers, and metal ornamentation; cutoffs; and jeans are not permitted. More information on proper attire can be found here . Changing areas are available, so you can change clothes during your visit. There are also dryers available if you are in a rush to hop on a coaster after you are done.
Last but certainly not least on the packing list is water! Guests can bring in one sealed bottle of water per person. Empty reusable bottles of water are also allowed to be brought in as long as they are empty upon arrival. Free cups of water are also available at Hersheypark dining locations and Pepsi FastFill stands. Outside food is not permitted.
Extra Tip: Pack sunscreen. The American Academy of Dermatology recommends everyone spending time in the sun to apply a sunscreen that offers broad-spectrum protection (protects against UVA and UVB rays), SPF 30 or higher and water resistance.
If you happen to forget something, don’t sweat it. Hersheypark carries many supplies that you may need for your sweet visit in our retail stores.
