I'm envious of you. If you are reading this you are very close to experiencing a glorious day with DC insiders. My rating of 5 stars is not accurate, I'm bucking this system. We did the DC in a day on wheels. It felt extravagant ( in a good way) , thorough and delightful. This tour is the whole enchilada. Thanks for making this day the highlight of our Mother & Daughter DC trip.

Dc tours from the minute we booked was fantastic at tailoring our itinerary to what we wanted to see. She even put together some great suggestions for us do to independently the next day. Dc tours is a company with real heart who want you to love the city as much as they do and we certainly do. Incredible tour for our family. Bo efficiently communicated with us and helped plan the 6 hour tour for my husband and I and our four sons. Becca was our guide and she was amazing. She was so informative and was able to answer all our questions. Loved our day and could not recommend these guys more.

Look no further for a fun, entertaining and informative tour. I am a local and brought two out of town friends on this electric bike tour. We all enjoyed it so much and even the local learned some fun facts!! We were lucky enough to have our tour led by the high energy owner. His enthusiasm did not wane throughout the entire 3.5 hour tour! Highly recommend!

This was my first trip to DC and it was the if it were not for this tour I would not have seen as much of the city as I did. I plan on coming back and I will definitely do this tour again. The bikes were fun and easy and handle. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the landmarks and the surrounding area. This is the best way to see DC.

Becca took care of everything! She was so accommodating to my small disabilities & the car was very comfortable. We covered so many stops over 6 hours. I still am processing the wonderful week we've had in D.C. I am 65 years old & never thought I'd make this trip.

I had been to DC many times in my life, but this trip with my 16 year old son was one of the best I’ve had because Bo was an amazing tour guide. The bikes were very easy to use and helped us to maximize our time to see as much as possible while tapping into Bo’s stories and narration of the monuments.

Bolton: Conditions aligning for wire-to-wire success at Zurich Classic of New Orleans

Golfbet News

Change Text Size

If you’ve ever wondered how much tougher betting on golf could get, welcome to the Zurich Classic of New Orleans where 80 two-man teams are lined up in the bayou.

Whenever combinations are introduced in golf, an already heady challenge is multiplied. Furthermore, because the tournament alternates between Four-balls/better ball (for the first and third rounds) and Foursomes/alternate shot (for the second and final rounds), this is betting at an advanced level, which is to say to be more careful than usual.

In the WEATHER section below, I propose a prop that makes sense given the variables, so be sure to consider it. The vagaries are another animal. Just like a Presidents Cup, a Ryder Cup and even the Grant Thornton Invitational, we’re relying on so many unquantifiables as it concerns the relationships, familiarity with each other’s skill set and other factors that don’t appear in the box score.

So, let’s simplify the equation into two parts.

First, leaning on known personal connections and quality of talent is the gimme. Everyone needs to execute, but the three sets of brothers who have teamed up have an edge for obvious reasons. Exploit it. Replace the typical worries that you would in an individual stroke-play competition with the impact of the wingman.

In a similar vein, Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele adorn the poster for the kind of top-shelf partnership to which many aspire. At +450 to win at BetMGM, that team is the Scottie Scheffler of the possibilities. In this situation that pushes to the extremes, multiply your units in their favor.

The other component is experience. Course history presents a nonzero value, but it’s not as important as format history; that is, teams who have competed together previously in this tournament even if it resulted in a missed cut.

With PGA TOUR Fantasy Golf dark this week, it’s timely to share that Golfbet Recap publishes shortly after the conclusion of every tournament. The most recent for the RBC Heritage is found here . In it you’ll find all kinds of relevant nuggets as well as how endorsements to which I assigned odds in Sleepers and Golfbet Insider fared.

Wire-to-wire winner (+800) … Because of how the wind was forecast for the Valero Texas Open three weeks ago, I was this close to including this prop for that tournament. Sure enough, Akshay Bhatia delivered. Now it’s time to put it on the record.

There’s one or two wire-to-wire winners every season and the format of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans caters to it. With better-ball scoring in the opening round, expect at least one team to threaten the course record of 59 with which Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele opened en route to their, you guessed it, wire-to-wire victory just two years ago.

The support for a low first-round setting the stage for the long haul is that the wind machine is expected to crank on by Friday’s second round. Because scoring will be alternate shot, it’s reasonable to consider that the first-round leader holds serve atop the leaderboard with a fair answer while the field struggles with challenges in the tougher format and in tough conditions.

Wind is expected to be strongest on Saturday when better ball is used the second time. In theory, a lead is safer when scoring isn’t as low, especially when two guys are contributing to the bottom line.

As of now, Sunday’s winds will not relent enough to introduce a crapshoot in the return of alternate shot, so again, having a foundation already built to withstand the elements is as valuable as the knowledge that there shouldn’t be much churn on the leaderboard.

POWER RANKINGS WILD CARD

Nick Hardy and Davis Riley (+180 = Top 20) … The defending champions and tournament record-holders at 30-under 258 fulfilled their projection for a top 10 in Sleepers ahead of that performance. This time around, form for both is just as inconsistent but the successes are more infrequent, so the advice is to backpedal into a feel-good finish for plus value. In full disclosure, my first stop for these two on BetMGM’s board was to review the odds for missing the cut. It’s (-120), which is tied for the worst among 24 offerings.

OTHER NOTABLES

Billy Horschel and Tyson Alexander (+150 = Top 20) … With Horschel’s usual partner, Sam Burns, sitting this one out to be with his wife for the birth of their first child, Alexander slides into place seamlessly. Horschel and Alexander were teammates at the University of Florida where the latter’s father, Buddy, was a long-time head coach. Not only is Horschel the only winner of the Zurich Classic in both the individual and team format, but he’s also fresh off a blistering course-record-tying 63 to win the Corales Puntacana Championship. Tyson has been keeping his head above water with six paydays in his last nine starts, a pair of which going for a top 20.

Andrew Putnam and Joe Highsmith (+190 = Top 20) … This pairing of Pepperdine University products is one of the five in the field with a left-hander. All of the champions in the first six editions of the tournament as a two-man format have been righties, but it’d seem reasonable to consider a baked-in advantage for favorable ball flights in alternate shot. With opposite-handedness, if both prefer a power fade off the tee, then they can strategize who tees off where all the while reducing the stress level to force an awkward angle for both. Basically, there should be more flexibility in the harder type of play. That aside, Putnam has been playing wonderfully and he’s familiar with TPC Louisiana. Highsmith, the lefty and a PGA TOUR rookie, is a debutant, but he’s held his own having cashed five of 10 times and sitting 116th in the FedExCup.

Carson Young and Ben Martin (+275 = Top 20) … Love this value as much as I love the partnership. These fellow members of Thornblade Club in Greenville, South Carolina, also are products of Clemson University, so while this is first-time partnership in the tournament, the relationship has considerable seasoning. Each also has experience at TPC Louisiana, so neither is cold to the property. Altogether, Young’s open to 2024 and Martin’s most recent play would comprise a fine season, so there’s been enough about which not to be concerned from our standpoint for a couple of guys in position to pay off the special opportunity.

NOTE: Not everything needs a setup. For a variety of reasons, these lines are too enticing to ignore.

  • Daniel Berger and Victor Perez (+188 = Top 20)
  • Ryan Brehm and Mark Hubbard (+300 = Top 20)
  • Parker Coody and Pierceson Coody (+600 = Top 10)
  • Luke List and Henrik Norlander (+220 = Top 20)

RETURNING TO COMPETITION

Taylor Montgomery … There always are many guys who take two consecutive weeks off and don’t land in this section, but his fortnight away was preceded by the first mid-tournament withdrawal of his young career. It occurred after an opening 81 at the Valero Texas Open. An explanation wasn’t released but that he’s ready to give it a go with his new partner, Ben Griffin, at TPC Louisiana is a sigh of relief for full-season investors. Montgomery debuted here last year and placed T19 alongside Kurt Kitayama despite a closing quadruple bogey-9. In what was also Griffin’s first appearance, he missed the cut with fellow University of North Carolina product Ryan Gerard.

2024 Zurich Classic odds, picks, predictions: Golf expert fading Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry at TPC Louisiana

Sia nejad reveals his zurich classic 2024 picks, props, and sleepers for this week's pga tour event at tpc louisiana.

rory-mcilroy-usatsi.jpg

Nick Hardy and Davis Riley look to successfully defend their crown when they compete in the 2024 Zurich Classic, which begins Thursday at TPC Louisiana. After teaming up with different partners in 2022, Hardy and Riley got together for the event last year and took home the title as they set a tournament record with a 30-under par performance to finish two strokes ahead of the Canadian duo of Nick Taylor and Adam Hadwin. It was the second straight top-five finish in the event for Riley, who tied for fourth with Will Zalatoris as his teammate two years ago.

Hardy and Riley are 80-1 longshots to repeat, while 2022 champions Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele are 5-1 favorites in the latest 2024 Zurich Classic odds. Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry are listed at 8-1, Zalatoris and Sahith Theegala are 11-1 and Collin Morikawa and Kurt Kitayama are 16-1. Tom Hoge and Maverick McNealy, along with siblings Matt and Alex Fitzpatrick, round out the top choices at 25-1. Before locking in any 2024 Zurich Classic picks, make sure you see the PGA Tour predictions and best bets from golf betting and fantasy expert Sia Nejad .

Nejad specializes in betting and DFS in golf, among other sports. He's had incredible success in the outright and first-round leader markets, as well as in betting head-to-head matchups. He also has been solid with his head-to-head matchups since last year's Charles Schwab Challenge, going 40-27-3 and returning 9.14 units over that span. That's a $914 profit for $100 bettors since May 2023.

Nejad also nailed 75-1 longshot Wyndham Clark as the outright winner at the Wells Fargo Championship. In 2023, SportsLine debuted The Early Wedge, and in the first three months of the show, he hit two first-round leaders and three outright winners.

Now, Nejad has focused his attention on the 2024 Zurich Classic field and has locked in his best bets, top sleepers and favorites to avoid. See who they are at SportsLine .

Top 2024 Zurich Classic expert picks

One surprise: Nejad is fading the team of Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry, even though they are among the favorites at +800. After recording 13 top-10 finishes, which included two victories and a pair of runner-ups in 18 events last season, McIlroy has posted just one over eight tournaments thus far in 2024. That came earlier this month when the 34-year-old was third at the Valero Texas Open. Since then, McIlroy has reverted back to the dismal form with which he began the year, as he tied for 22nd at the Masters and 33rd at the RBC Heritage last weekend. The No. 2 ranked player in the world was no better than 21st in his first four events before finishing 19th at the Players Championship.

Considering his compatriot's struggles, Lowry could feel more pressure than usual will be thrust upon him. However, the 37-year-old hasn't had much more success this season either, with just two top-10 finishes in eight events. Lowry, who hasn't posted a victory on the PGA Tour since winning the Open Championship in 2019, tied for fourth in the Cognizant Classic in early March and followed with a third-place performance in the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Since then, he has tied for 19th, 43rd and 64th in three outings.

However, Nejad is high on the chances of Will Zalatoris and Sahith Theegala, who are listed at 11-1. Theegala set a career high last season with eight top-10 finishes, the last being his first PGA Tour win at the Fortinet Championship. The 26-year-old has begun this year in strong fashion, recording five top-10s in his first 11 events to match Ludvig Aberg for third-most in 2024. Theegala was runner-up at the Sentry in his season debut and is coming off another runner-up performance at the RBC Heritage last weekend.

Zalatoris did not fare as well in Hilton Head, tying for 44th place, but he has finished in the top 10 in three of his nine outings this season. The 27-year-old's best result of the year came at the Genesis Invitational in February, when he and Luke List were runners-up after finishing three strokes behind Hideki Matsuyama. Zalatoris is eager for a chance at another top-five finish in this tournament after missing last year's edition as he recovered from back surgery.  See which other teams to back at SportsLine .

How to make 2024 Zurich Classic picks

Nejad has locked in his best bets for the 2024 Zurich Classic and is backing several longshot teams, including one that is priced at more than +3000. This team has a member who "may be coming into form" and is a longshot that could surprise.  You can see Nejad's PGA Tour picks only at SportsLine .

So which teams should you target or avoid for the 2024 Zurich Classic, and which team in the   Zurich Classic 2024 field could bring a huge payday at more than +3000? Check out the odds below, then visit SportsLine to see Sia Nejad's top picks for the 2024 Zurich Classic , all from the expert who is 39-27-2 on his last 68 head-to-head picks.

Taylor Swift fans in the UK have been scammed out of $1.2 million, bank says

  • UK Taylor Swift fans have lost over $1.2 million to Eras Tour ticket scams, Lloyds Bank says.
  • The bank issued an urgent warning after it said 600 of its customers fell victim to the scam.
  • Most of the ticket scams targeted 25- 34-year-olds through fake ads on Facebook.

Insider Today

It looks like it's heating up to be a Cruel Summer — at least for Swifties in the United Kingdom seeking Eras Tour tickets.

Fans of Taylor Swift have already been scammed out of over $1.2 million trying to purchase concert tickets, mostly through Facebook, according to Lloyds Bank .

This prompted the bank, which is among the United Kingdom's largest, to issue an "urgent warning." The warning said that at least 600 of its customers had been victimized by a ticket scam, losing anywhere from £332 to over £1,000.

Related stories

Outside of its own banking system, Lloyds estimated some 3,000 more Brits may have fallen prey to the scams, losing as much as £1 million, or over $1.2 million, in total nationwide.

Most of the scams appeared to target 25- to 34-year-olds using fake ads on Facebook, the bank said.

"For her legion of dedicated Swifties, the excitement is building ahead of Taylor's Eras Tour finally touching down in the UK this summer. However cruel fraudsters have wasted no time in targeting her most loyal fans as they rush to pick up tickets for her must-see concerts," fraud prevention director Liz Ziegler said.

The popularity of Swift's Eras Tour has caused all manner of problems for its ticket-seeking fans.

Many Swift fans in the United States were forced to purchase resale tickets after Ticketmaster botched the 2022 release of tickets, prompting a congressional inquiry the following year. Swifties stateside told Business Insider they had to do serious sleuthing to confirm they weren't being scammed when they paid for resale tickets.

In July 2023, the San Francisco Better Business Bureau warned Swift fans that scammers were running ticket scams as her "Eras Tour" date approached in the city, according to ABC .

Alma Galvan, BBB regional communications manager, told the outlet that scammers will sometimes pretend to be friends on social media and sell fans fake tickets for a large price.

The BBB recommends only purchasing tickets from reputable vendors and using a credit card before a debit card, cash transfer app, or cash, the report said.

One Swift fan who spent more than $1,500 on tickets on Facebook Marketplace told BI that she insisted on using Paypal Goods and Services for the transaction because it helps users get a refund if their concert tickets never arrive.

In Australia, Coughlan and Newton were joined by Season 3 showrunner Jess Brownell as they surprised fans at an epic screening and took part in plenty of press coverage. With a two-part season, a major promotional tour makes total sense as fans eagerly await new episodes through the summer when Part 2 is slated to drop on June 13th.

Part 1 will drop a month earlier on May 16th, making way for the start of Polin’s romance, which will see Penelope accept Colin’s help when he offers to aid in her search for a husband, unaware that their lessons will have a unique effect on him. insider tour

Starting Point

Meet your guide on the square next to the Tränenpalast (Palace of Tears), Reichstagufer 17, 10117 Berlin.

Description

By the end of WWII, Berlin, the capital of defeated Nazi Germany, lay in ruins. Yet it was to become the epicentre of the Cold War, a pivotal city in the struggle between two superpowers to control war-torn Europe. Your specialist guide will take you to one of the longest remaining stretches of the Berlin Wall and share with you the intriguing history behind its construction and how it went up overnight, as well as tragic stories of the impact on Berliners, who woke up the next morning to a divided city.

This top-ranking tour begins with stories of separation at the Tränenpalast departure terminal, today a compelling museum documenting the effects of the border on ordinary people living behind the Iron Curtain. As you ride through Berlin’s former “ghost stations”, your expert guide will explain how the underground transport system provided one possible means of escape from the GDR.

You will be able to get a sense of what it was like to live “behind the Wall” in the Eastern Bloc’s most heavily policed state. Hear of the methods of East Germany’s secret police (the “Stasi”) and the systems, devices and manpower deployed to keep the population under surveillance for 40 years and how they were aided in their efforts to outwit the CIA and MI6 by their comrades and counterparts in the KGB.

The tour makes an essential and extended stop at the Berlin Wall Memorial at Bernauer Straße, where you will be able to see a preserved section of the original wall and the last remaining stretch of the death strip. This is the site of Tunnels 29 and 57, by means of which 29 and 57 determined individuals pulled off daring escapes to West Berlin in the 1960s.

You will hear the extraordinary story of how the Monday Demonstrations culminated in the major East Berlin hub of Alexanderplatz, where in late 1989 half a million citizens peacefully demonstrated for political reform, thereby sounding the death knell for the German Democratic Republic. Your guide will explain exactly what led to the Wall tumbling down on the night of 9 November 1989, setting Berlin on the path to reunification.

Finishing Point

The tour finishes in the area of Bernauer Straße.

Great tour..

Fabulous morning with Glen. He is really fascinated by the topic and the tour just buzzed with his enthusiasm. He pitched things just right and adapted based our questions. Good booking and organisation. Did 2 tours with same company in 4 days. Sine Apr. '24

A great introduction to Cold War Berlin.

Our guide Mikhail was excellent, striking a good balance between the big picture and the personal histories. This is a great way to understand the circumstances in which the wall rose and fell, and the effect it had on the lives of so many Berliners. Ed E. March '24

Excellent Cold War tour.

The Cold War walking tour of Berlin was fascinating. Our guide was full of detailed historical information as well as intriguing anecdotes and my 21-year-old son and I were riveted throughout. This is a must for everyone who visits Berlin. Heather C. March '24

Very well organised.....

Very well organised from booking onwards. Peter was our guide and provided some really interesting insights into the period. He certainly knew his stuff. Not too much walking and all at an easy pace so very accessible. Would highly recommend spending 3 hours of your visit to Berlin on this tour. Kevin N. Feb. '24

Our guide was excellent.

Our guide George was excellent, his enthusiasm and knowledge made the tour really enjoyable for us all. Mark H. Feb. '24

This was one of the best.

We did a few tours during my two week stay in Berlin. This was one of the best. I had always been a bit confused about East/West Berlin and East/West Germany. Our guide George created a clear context for how it arose, developed and fell apart. We also moved around the city and saw things that tied in nicely to what he was telling us. Thank you so much George - you are one fantastic guide :) Tig G Feb. '24

Fantastic Tour

Gregor was a great guide for our Cold War tour. Our friends we were in Berlin with had never been on a walking tour before but were soon won over by Gregor’s passion for the history of his city & enthusiasm to pass stories on to others. The time passed so quickly & we can’t wait to return to Berlin again to join another Insider tour. David G. Dec. '23

Hannah was a great guide...friendly,..

Hannah was a great guide...friendly, moved at a good pace, kept everyone happy, was full of great information and clearly enjoys her work. It was an insightful tour on a complex time. You could talk about this period for hours, but this tour offers a taste for what life was like during this division of Berlin/Germany Elaine Oct. '23

Fascinating Cold War tour.

We had a fascinating Cold War tour with Glen last week. He achieved a great balance of being informative, without overload, and also making it relevant to society today. We covered a lot of ground in the three hours. Glen was hugely knowledgeable about this period, but also sensitive to the many personal tragedies. Would highly recommend. Angela B. Sept. '23

I highly recommend this walking tour..

I highly recommend this walking tour - Eran really knew his subject & answered all questions. We met at the Palace of Tears & went on to Bernauer Strasse seeing a ghost station, remnants of the wall, no man's land & sites of tunnels. Fi M. Sept. '23

Glen was an excellent guide. He obviously knew a lot about the subject and was able to pass his knowledge on in an easy and enjoyable way. I loved the finish at Karl Marx Alley. Dave D. Sept. '23

Book this tour!

Our guide is clearly an extremely intelligent, highly educated man who is obviously passionate about 20th century history and particularly Berlin. As a British man now living in Berlin with a German wife and friends, he was well positioned to give a broad spectrum view of the city and it’s recent history. T Lau April '23

Amazing Cold War tour.

Had an amazing time yesterday on the Cold War tour. We went to some of the best landmarks as our guide explained the political and social situation. For a 3 hr tour and a coffee break halfway through I thought this was a great value! There were about 8 people in our tour. Highly recommended. Thank you! H Hansen April '23

A Cold War tour to remember.

Our guide was REALLY AMAZING! His presentation and attention to detail was second to none. This tour is incredibly informative about the Cold War, and even those not interested in history or knowledgeable on the subject would have an amazing time. We saw some locations around Berlin I would never know to find on my own, and our tour guide was able to answer all questions I had. Overall I would HIGHLY recommend this tour Johnny Oh May '23

Really good walking tour.

Did a walking tour of Cold War Berlin with a lovely young guy, who was very knowledgeable, engaging, considerate and excellent at telling describing the history and telling the stories. A particular highlight was his quick history of he Cold War using chalk on on the pavement. A wonderful 3 or so hours that went by too quickly. Darius March '23

This tour makes you understand the city of Berlin.

Stock market today: US indexes rise as mega-cap earnings take the spotlight

  • Markets climbed higher as investors get ready for a line up of mega-cap earnings.
  • Tuesday continued this week's steady rebound, after stocks fell sharply last week.
  • Tesla will report on Tuesday, followed by Meta, Alphabet, and Microsoft later in the week.

Insider Today

Stocks ticked higher Tuesday morning, as a lineup of mega-cap earnings this week fuels hope for a market comeback.

That's after the equity rally tumbled sharply last week, with rate-cut outlooks crushed by hot economic data. As monetary policy isn't expected to ease any time soon, Treasury bond yields continued to rise higher Tuesday.

Investors are pinning their hopes on strong earnings to kickstart a new rally, with the stock market's 10% year-to-date gain through the end of March now cut by more than half.

On Tuesday, markets will watch for Tesla's report after the closing bell, though its recent performance has investors on edge. Tesla stock is down over 40% year-to-date, and a first-quarter delivery flop has eroded Wall Street confidence .

Meta's earnings are set to follow on Wednesday, after which Alphabet and Microsoft will report on Thursday.

Here's where US indexes stood at the 9:30 a.m. opening bell on Tuesday:

  • S&P 500 : 5,034.26, up 0.47%
  • Dow Jones Industrial Average : 38,341.68, up 0.27% (+103 points)
  • Nasdaq Composite : 15,544.24, up 0.6%

Here's what else is going on:

  • The yield curve has been inverted for 18 months with no recession - but a slowdown still looms, a strategist says.
  • Bubble tea's surging popularity has minted a number of Chinese billionaires .
  • Investor Steve Cohen wants SEC approval for a 24-hour trading exchange .

In commodities, bonds, and crypto:

  • West Texas Intermediate crude oil dropped by 0.5% to $81.50 a barrel. Brent crude , the international benchmark, slid 0.5% to 86.58 a barrel.
  • Gold fell by 0.9% to $2,325.80 an ounce.
  • The 10-year Treasury yield rose two basis points to 4.646%.
  • Bitcoin was down 1% to $65,990.

PGA Tour players learn how much loyalty is worth in new equity program

Players who stayed loyal to the PGA Tour amid lucrative recruitment by Saudi-funded LIV Golf are starting to find out how much that loyalty could be worth.

The PGA Tour on Wednesday began contacting the 193 players eligible for the $930 million from a “Player Equity Program” under the new PGA Tour Enterprises .

Recommended Videos

The bulk of that money — $750 million — went to 36 players based on their career performance, the last five years and how they fared in a recent program that measured their star power.

How much they received was not immediately known. Emails were going out Wednesday afternoon and Thursday informing players of what they would get. One person who saw a list of how the equity shares were doled out said the names had been redacted. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because many details of the program were not made public.

The Telegraph reported Tiger Woods was to receive $100 million in equity and Rory McIlroy could get $50 million, without saying how it came up with those numbers.

Commissioner Jay Monahan outlined the first-of-its-kind equity ownership program in a Feb. 7 memo to players, a week after Strategic Sports Group became a minority investor in the new commercial PGA Tour Enterprises.

The private equity group, a consortium of professional sports owners led by the Fenway Sports Group, made an initial investment of $1.5 billion that could be worth $3 billion. The tour is still negotiating with the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia — the financial muscle behind the rival LIV Golf league — as an investor.

Any deal with PIF would most certainly increase the value of the equity shares.

Another person with knowledge of the Player Equity Program, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the private nature of the dealings, said the equity money is not part of the SSG investment. That money was geared toward growth capital.

Golf.com received a series of informational videos on the Player Equity Program that was sent to players and reported only 50% of the equity would vest after four years, 25% more after six years and the rest of it after eight years.

It also reported how the 36 players from the top tier were judged on “career points,” such as how long they were full members, victories, how often they reached the Tour Championship and extra points for significant victories.

Jason Gore, the tour's chief player officer, said in one of the videos, “It's really about making sure that our players know the PGA Tour is the best place to compete and showing them how much the Tour appreciates them being loyal.”

Emails also were sent to 64 players who would share $75 million in aggregate equity based on the past three years, and $30 million to 57 players who are PGA Tour members. Also, $75 million in equity shares was set aside for 36 past players instrumental in building the tour.

The program has an additional $600 million in equity grants that are recurring for future PGA Tour players. Those would be awarded in amounts of $100 million annually started in 2025.

Players only get equity shares from one of the four tiers now, although everyone would be eligible for the recurring grants.

Even with equity ownership geared toward making the PGA Tour better, the concern was players questioning who got how much and whether they received their fair share.

LIV Golf lured away seven major champions dating to 2018 since it launched in 2022, all with guaranteed contracts and most of them believed to have topped $100 million.

McIlroy, playing this week in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, was asked how much would make players feel validated for their decision to stay with the PGA Tour.

“I think the one thing we’ve learned in golf over the last two years is there’s never enough,” McIlroy replied.

Lisa Rinna, Scheana Shay, and Brock Davies Dish on Their Lopez vs Lopez Guest Spots

The actors and Bravolebs share how their time on reality TV is different than working on scripted shows.

insider tour

Lopez vs Lopez's  latest guest stars are familiar faces for reality TV fans.

How to Watch

Watch Lopez vs. Lopez Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock .

In an all-new episode airing April 23, Vanderpump Rules couple Scheana Shay and Brock Davies play competitive parents at Chance’s ( Brice Gonzalez ) school opposite Mayan ( Mayan Lopez ) and Quinten (Matt Shively). Then, former The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna (also known for  Days of Our Lives  and American Horror Stories ) plays a celebrity hairstylist who has a thing for George Lopez , also in an episode airing April 23.

Scheana Shay and Brock Davies talk filming  Lopez vs Lopez

Turns out, Shay and Davies had to audition for their roles on Lopez vs Lopez.   Shay realized they were going to be in Amsterdam when they were supposed to audition, but thankfully they were able make it work by doing it virtually, she told NBC Insider .

Brock Davies and Scheana Shay at The Lopez vs. Lopez Screening & Reception

“I’ve done reality for so long, but I do have my background in acting and hosting , and this is something that I’ve been wanting to get back into for a while, and I’ve never done a sitcom,” Shay said. “The multi-cam live audience has always been a dream of mine, and I’ve been a fan of George Lopez, like, my entire life, so to get to work with him and his daughter on this show was absolutely incredible.”

Everything to Know About Lopez vs Lopez Season 2

For Davies, the opportunity was “surreal,” especially because he didn’t initially plan to work as an actor growing up. Now, he’s “hooked” and wants to do more acting projects.

They play Erica and Justin, fellow parents at a school event with a penchant for following rules.

“I show up to the school thing late because I was saving a baby and doing brain surgery and I like to brag about that, which is so fun because never in my life will I be a surgeon,” Shay teased about their characters on the show.

Portraying competitive parents did make them think of what it will be like for them when their daughter, Summer, attends school.

“She just got accepted into a very competitive preschool, and I did not realize how competitive it is,” Shay said. “We’re at the tour and there’s, like, a pregnant mom there, there’s the mom who has a 12-month-old, a 14-month-old; they go to us and they’re like ‘How old’s your kid?’, and we’re like ’35 months.’ I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, we are behind.’”

Thankfully, Summer was accepted and is set to start class this summer with fellow Vanderpump Rules and The Valley babies Cruz ( Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor’s son ) and Ocean ( Lala Kent’s daughter ), according to Shay.

Lisa Rinna opens up about working with George Lopez

Rinna’s guest role as hairstylist Lisa Perry was created for her, she told NBC Insider .

“The last three roles that I’ve played, I’ve worn wigs,” Rinna said, when asked about her hairstyle for the show.

For Lopez vs Lopez , she wanted to do “the iconic classic Rinna” but even grander because of Lopez's hair.

“[George] walked in one day, and it was just so big and, like, full, and I thought, you know, we need to do that for my hair,” Rinna said about the collaborative process.

Like George and Mayan, a real-life father-daughter duo, Rinna has worked with her daughter, Delilah Hamlin, on an upcoming movie called Mommy Meanest .

“It was so fun to see George and Mayan working together and being so professional yet knowing they are father and daughter,” Rinna said. “I was so impressed by their professionalism and grace that they showed not only to each other but everyone on the set around them.”

Meet George Lopez's Daughter, Mayan Lopez

Rinna shared how her time on Real Housewives really served her as an actor and gave her a sense of “fearlessness” when working on scripted shows.

“Doing reality is like flying from the seat of your pants,” Rinna explained. “Scripted, you have a character, you have a script, you have words that you can live behind. Reality, you’re right out there…you’re walking a tight-rope without a net.”

Rinna has “always” been a fan of Lopez and raved about his gift-giving abilities.

“George Lopez is one of the greatest gift-givers of all time,” Rinna said, though she did decided to keep the gift she received private. “No one is more kind and generous than George Lopez and that set. We got flowers, we got gifts…I’ve never been around so many kind people that are so grateful to have you there.”

Watch the new episodes back-to-back Tuesday, April 23 rd at 8/7c and 8:30/7:30c on NBC. New episodes air next day on Peacock .
