The Kune waterfall is at Lonavla in Pune district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is the 14th highest waterfall in India.

Located between the twin hills of Lonavla and Khandala, Kune Falls is a three-tiered waterfall set amidst the backdrop of Sahayadri mountains. The region is at an elevation of 622 m above sea level and is surrounded by lush greenery, making it a paradise for nature lovers. However, be careful when you are vising during the rainy season as the area might get a little slippery.

While the waterfall itself is a sight to cheer, the journey to get there is equally exciting. The Kune Church located near the falls serves as a landmark for reaching the falls, and you can still enjoy the beauty from a distance.

Lonavala is a very popular weekend getaway near Pune and Mumbai. In the monsoon season, the entire region near Lonavala turns emerald green and is home to numerous waterfalls. And to witness its beauty, lakhs of tourists makes way to the town.  If you are someone who wants to ditch the conventional spots and avoid the crowd, you should definitely explore near-by, for adventure and peace. One such hidden gem is Kataldhar waterfall .

Kataldhar is a seasonal waterfall located in the Ulhas Valley on the same trek route which further goes towards the popular Rajmachi Fort Trek . The waterfall is inaccessible by road and one has to trek through the dense forest to make it to the waterfall. The experience of reaching the waterfall has all the ingredients to give you a high, a high higher than the waterfall.

How to reach Kataldhar Waterfall

The cheapest and the most convenient way to reach the Kataldhar waterfall trek is via railways . The nearest major railway station to Kataldhar Waterfall is Lonavala railway station . If you have a good fitness level, you can walk all the way to the waterfall from the station (10 kms one way –3 to 4 hours) (take the upper deck Resort route and not the Della Adventure park one – put on Gmaps).

Since the waterfall lies on the same route of Rajmachi Fort trek , the shared taxis operating between Lonavala station and Fanasrai (mostly in monsoon – INR 100) which is the last point where the taxis can go in monsoon, can drop you at the start point of Kataldhar waterfall(ask the taxi driver) which comes en-route (1.5 km before Fanasrai).

Finding the start point of the Kataldhar Waterfall trek is a bit challenging. The only indication is the two identical Mango trees (on the left-hand side) (Ribbons are tied on the trees too) which are just 100 meters before Kune Falls (check Kune Falls, trek to Rajmachi village on Gmaps). Or, just put in Sas Hill on Gmaps and look for the 2 identical Mango trees as shown in the below picture (a big stone is also there on the opposite side of the trees). You can also inquire at Hotel Kachaldhar which is just opposite Kune falls. You can ride up to Sas Hill if you are coming by your transport.

Difficulty level of Kataldhar Waterfall Trek

I would rate the Kataldhar Waterfall Trek as a moderate to difficult trek in terms of difficulty. The trek is not tough in terms of steepness, nor terms of fitness required; it’s just the confusing routes in the dense jungle that make me call it difficult.  The forest is so thick that in places the sun light doesn’t even reach the ground. The dampness & darkness of the forest, the confusing trails, and the chances of getting lost are what all make it a moderate to difficult trek. There are ribbons & tape tied on trees all along the way to guide you.

My Journey to Kataldhar Waterfall Trek

I had read about the Kataldhar waterfall in an article sometime back on a travel blog. Thanks to my fellow bloggers, otherwise I would have missed out on such a pretty sight and would have only been curious and admired one unnamed waterfall from the top of the Shrivardhan Fort – Rajmachi . I sometimes feel proud of myself and my fellow travel bloggers when we are of some help to others. Our love for travel, exploration, and the will to spread it is mutual.

The moment I got to know that there was a trek route to reach the waterfall, I made up my mind to visit it soon. On a Sunday morning, I along with my friend started at 8 am from Pune. I have been to Rajmachi several times before but never noticed that the trek path to the Kataldhar waterfall begins from Kune Falls (Sas hill) which lies en route to Udhewadi, the base village of Rajmachi.

There are two similar mango trees tied with ribbon- which is the identifier of the start point of the trek. I had to keep my eyes to the left while driving, noticing trees carefully so as to not miss those in particular. After around five minutes of trekking, there is a flat land from where we could see the Shrivardhan Balekilla and Manaranjan Balekilla of Rajmachi Fort.

There is a small river crossing at the flat plateau after which the trail descends through the dense forest. There are tapes and ribbons tied to trees to guide you to the correct path. Mostly there are few trekkers or none in the way, so it’s quite probable that you might lose your way. If you anytime feel lost, you can always trace back to the last tape/ribbon. Also, there are cairns and arrows marked to further assist you.

Somewhere in the middle of the trek, there is also a fallen tree. You’ll know you are on the right track if you visit anytime soon. The jungle is so dense that even in the afternoon it looks very dark. It was drizzling since morning and I loved every bit of this jungle trek. The trek is mostly a continuous descent with a patch of ascend near the end from where you can get the view of the waterfall.

That is so huge is what I uttered as I got the first glimpse of the waterfall. There were two streams of waterfall separated by around 5 meters. Few people were rappelling at this mighty waterfall, must have been an amazing adventure altogether.

It gets very tempting to reach the base of the waterfall to have all the feels, but it’s not advisable, especially at the peak of the monsoon when the water flow is unexpected and can get scary anytime. Also, the boulders which lead you to the base of the waterfall are very slippery.

I made it to the base of the waterfall as the water flow wasn’t scary on that particular day. There was no one at the base of the waterfall. I had it all to myself and could sink into this peace of nature in me completely. I was in total awe when I looked at the huge waterfall standing right below it. You don’t do that often, do you?

I didn’t want to leave that place but as there wasn’t any option to stay overnight, we decided to make our way back before it started getting foggy and dark in the dense jungle. It took us around 1.5 hours to make it back to the starting point where we had parked our bikes. After having delicious Maggi at the nearby food joint, we left for Pune with all the beautiful memories.

Food and stay options at Kataldhar Waterfall Trek

There is no food and stay option while doing the Kataldhar Waterfall Trek. Just a few meters ahead of the start point, opposite to Kune Falls, you will find a small Dhaba “Kachaldhar hotel” where you get basic refreshments. I tried Maggi at the Dhaba and it was very delicious.

The trek will take somewhere around 4 to 6 hours in total, so make sure you carry enough eatables along with you. Also, do carry at least 2-3 water bottles with you.

Somehow if you are late in returning from the waterfall, it would be better to take shelter at the cave overnight as you don’t want to risk wandering in the dense jungle at night. Putting a tent in the jungle is very risky and I would suggest avoiding it. One stay option can be the base village Udhewadi, but that would again need 2.5 hours of trekking from the Kataldhar start point.

Note : Do wear full sleeves & full track pants to avoid bites and cuts from mosquitoes as they are in huge numbers. Carry a mosquito repellent if you have one. There are a lot of crabs and long earthworms, so be cautious while trekking.

Best time to visit Kataldhar Waterfall trek

The waterfall is seasonal and depends completely on rain for its source. So the best time to visit the waterfall is the monsoon month starting from July to mid-September. For the rest of the year, if you want to experience a jungle trek, the Kataldhar trek could be a great option. But don’t expect a waterfall in the other seasons.

Hey Abhishek, thanks a ton for your blog on this wonderful God gifted trek. We had a blast on this trekking experience and it wouldn’t be possible with the pointers/suggestions mentioned by you. I would like to add few more to your mentioned lists: 1. Finding Identical Mango tree is not big deal as few forest guys have found that as earning opportunity. They will provide fine slip for 100 per person. This might be temporary.

2. Along with Red-white-Yellow-Orange ribbons, there are arrows marked on the trees which will lead the direction to waterfall base.

3. Best time to start the trekking is early morning. Journey from base to parking lot is little time consuming and considering less motivating/tiring effort, we should have buffer of 3 hours fir that part.

4. This trekking is definitely qualify for difficult level for beginners and moderate for pros.

Bhivpuri Waterfalls (118 km from Pune)

Bhivpuri is a small town in the Raigad District of Maharashtra, near Kajrat. Apart from various other attractions nearby, the Bhivpuri Waterfall sees numerous tourists from Mumbai and Pune getting roped in by its beauty. The water cascades over the rocky hills and falls into a pool below, making it one of the most beautiful waterfalls near Pune . Other nearby attractions to this waterfall include the Shirdi Sai Baba Temple, and the Tata Hydro Power Plant and Dam. The waterfall is also home to a host of adventure activities like rappelling, rock climbing, and trekking. Distance from Pune: The Bhivpuri waterfall is located about 118 kilometers from Pune. Height: The Bhivpuri waterfall is about 20 feet high. Location: Bhivpuri, Kajrat. Best season to visit: The waterfall is at its best during the monsoon months, especially July and August. Lingmala Waterfalls (116 km from Pune)

Located on the Mahabaleshwar-Pune Road, the Lingmala Waterfall is a majestic waterfall, with the water dropping to 600 feet below its origin. This waterfall is located about 6 kilometers from Mahabaleshwar city, and the Forest Bungalow of Lingmala is situated right beside it. One needs to walk for about two kilometers to reach the waterfall from the entrance. Beside the main waterfall, there is also a mini waterfall inside the vicinity that is suitable for swimming and enjoying inside the water. The Lingmala Waterfall also serves to be a breathtaking viewpoint for other waterfalls including the Dhobi Falls and Chinaman’s Waterfall. The water from this fall also goes on to flow into the Venna Valley and further into Venna River. Distance from Pune:   The Lingmala Waterfall is located about 116 kilometers from Pune. Height:   The water here falls from a height of about 600 meters! Location:   Mahabaleshwar, Maharashtra. Best season to visit:  Post monsoon months from July to October are the best time to visit this waterfall since the falls are full, but the waters are not too rough, making it safe to go for a swim.

Bhaje Waterfalls (60 km from Pune)

These falls form a part of the centuries-old Bhaje Caves. It is a site that is preserved by the Archaeological Survey of India. These falls are quite known for activities such as water rappelling. This is one of the reasons why these waterfalls attract quite a good number of tourists all through the year. The nearby dhabas also offer chai-pakoda at reasonable prices. The trek to the falls is truly enchanting and the first sight of the falls will leave you mesmerized in every sense of the word! Distance from Pune: 60 km (approx.) Height: 75 ft (approx.) Location:  Bhaje Caves Road, Khandala, Lonavala - 412106. Best season to visit: July to September.

Umbrella Falls (175 km from Pune)

Sitting by the Parvara River, Bhandardara is a small village near Igatpuri which is home to the iconic Umbrella Falls. When the water from Wilson Dam is released, it gushes down heavily and falls on naturally placed rocks, creating a dome-like impression. Hence, the is acquires the name, Umbrella Falls. These falls are also used for hydropower, and are a major tourist attraction, located just a few minutes’ walks away from the Bhandardara Bus Stop, and are one of the best  waterfalls in Pune. A small footbridge connecting the dam and Parvara River act as a viewpoint to get a clearer and closer look of the mighty water umbrella! A nearby waterfall called Randha Falls in Bhandaradara itself is also a must visit, along with a serene boat ride in Arthur Lake. Distance from Pune:   Umbrella Falls are located about 175 kilometers away from Pune. Height:   The Umbrella Falls cascades from a height of 500 meters from the Wilson Dam. Location:   Bhandardara, Maharashtra. Best season to visit:   The best time to visit Umbrella Falls is during monsoon when the dam has reached its maximum capacity.

Dudhsagar Falls (436 km from Pune)

Literally translating to ‘a sea of milk’, the white gushing and foaming waters of this waterfall truly live up to its name. A part of the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, Dudhsagar Waterfall is located in the Sanguem taluka of Goa. Shaniwar Wada is an excellent example of the Maratha Imperial architecture used in India in the bygone era. It tells the historical tale of the Maratha Kingdom as it has seen every event that occurred in Peshwas Life over time. It was built by the Peshwas’ symbolizing the brave hearts of the Marathas, who strived hard to keep its glory alive. Though the fort couldn’t tolerate the battering from the wrong time but the stone boundaries still recite the untold tales of the colourful journeys lead by the heroic Marathas.However, some ruins still remain reciting the remarkable stories and contorted tales. You can witness the enormous stone boundaries made to protect the beautiful Shaniwar Wada, which shows the level of security provided to the people of the kingdom. The walls have a magnificent wooden gate reflecting the Mughal architecture, which is another example of how secure the palace was made. There are long iron spikes tucked into the gate, which could reduce the attack of the enemy and kept elephants away.Besides this, you can see a garden which follows the style of the Mughal architecture. It also has a lovely fountain resembling a 16 petaled lotus, right in the middle of the garden. Adding to that, you can see the boundaries marked on the ground, which could tell about all the rooms. But you can still make these remains your window into the past to relive what has happened in history.History of Shaniwar Wada:The foundation stone of the Shaniwar Wada was laid in 1730 by Peshwa Bajirao I. Initially, it was intended to be a colossal palace of seven stories made out of stone. But the people of the national capital argued that only King can have a castle made of stone. So, the construction of Shaniwar Wada began using bricks. It took two years to complete this elegant structure, which displayed an excellent blend of the Maratha Imperial architecture with the Mughal architecture. The interiors had valuable furniture and decorations along with carvings of flowers and paintings of scenes from the Mahabharata and Ramayana. The first major fire in the year 1791 destroyed a significant part of the fort, which was re-constructed again. Then the next explosion in 1808 burnt all the necessary artifacts and documents in the palace. Then another fire in 1812 destroyed the upper two stories of the castle, followed by a fire in 1813 which destroyed the Royal Hall. All this destruction was taken to another level in the year 1818. The British attacked Shaniwar Wada, which resulted in collapsing all the top stories. Finally, in the year 1828, a fire caught the whole palace, which burned for a week and wrecked it. Architecture of Shaniwar Wada:Architecture of Shaniwar Wada is an excellent example of Maratha style of construction blended with authentic Mughal architecture. The main gate, also known as Delhi Darwaza, is adorned with iron spikes to restrain the enemy attack as it is enormous enough to pass an elephant through it. There is a small aisle on the top of the door which has dome-shaped windows definitely taken from the Mughal architecture. Besides this gate, the Wada has four more gates, namely Mastani Darwaza, Khidki Darwaza, Ganesh Darwaja, and Narayan Darwaza. The walls have floral carvings and paintings resembling the Mughal architecture style. Scenes from Ramayana and Mahabharata are also found painted at various significant spots. The windows and doors are also dome-shaped contributing to the traces of Mughal architecture. Archaeologists believe that initially, the fort was six-floored before it was destroyed by the fire. Finally, the garden has a 16 petaled lotus representing the grace of the bygone era.

Rajmachi Trek, Camping, Fireflies & Kondana Caves

This post is about my adventures of Rajmachi trek, Kataldhar waterfall, fireflies at Rajmachi, camping near the fort & descend towards Kondana caves. I am sharing my beautiful experience so that you can plan your Rajmachi trek easily.

I had already heard numerous tales of the natural paradise at Rajmachi. Earlier in 2016, we hiked halfway up to the Kune falls. We chose to go back due to the heavy rains storms and insane winds. But I realised that I will have to come back one day. Now that I had already seen the wild side of nature at this place in monsoon. I choose a pre-monsoon trek to avoid the wild nature and the monsoon crowds. I was also quite eager to see the fireflies which appear at Rajmachi only before the monsoon.

At this point, I had no previous experience in trekking. The Vasota trek I had done earlier was with my office colleagues. I thought it would be fun to join some trekking group in Pune. I found an organised  trek to Rajmachi  with a quick online search, which was by a trekking group from Mumbai. A few more searches and reviews later I knew that they can be relied upon for my adventure.

• Accessibility:  Minimum level of physical fitness is necessary. Obviously, not accessible for wheelchairs and strollers.
• Rajmachi Fort distance from Pune:  81 km

About Rajmachi

Rajmachi is often mistakenly called as Rajmachi fort. In fact, Rajmachi is the name of the place, which is alternatively called the Udhewadi village. Udhewadi is the base village for the trek. After reaching here, I got to know that Rajmachi fort is actually a set of twin fortresses- Shrivardhan Fort and Manaranjan Fort.

The twin forts at Rajmachi were built by the Satavahanas to protect the most important historical trade route called the  Borghat . Borghat is now declared as a protected monument. This route connected the inland Deccan plateau region (now Pune) to the western coast of India (now Mumbai) in ancient times. The fort was later captured by Chp. Shivaji Maharaj, then by Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, again recaptured by Shahu Maharaj and eventually captured by the British.

Rajmachi Trek route details

Rajmachi Forts are located in the popular hill stations of Lonavala-Khandala. They can be reached from Mumbai side via Kondane village or from Pune side via Lonavala.

Kondane village to Rajmachi trek

This route is from Karjat – Kondane village – Kondane caves – Rajmachi. It is a difficult and challenging trek with extremely beautiful nature and scenery. It is quite hard to climb from that side. You can use this trek for polishing your trekking and mountaineering skills. In our organised trek, we were going to reach the top via Lonavala and then descend via Kondane village.

Lonavala to Rajmachi trek

Lonavala is the easiest route to reach Rajmachi. From Lonavala railway station, you can find numerous jeeps and SUVs that will take you to the base village of Udhewadi. We were asked to reach the Lonavala station from Pune city by 4.30 pm. And the Mumbai participants were also going to come here at the same place. The SUVs organised by the trekking club were ready and waiting near the station.

There is no proper tar road once you leave the highway near Dellas Adventures. If you are going by your car, make sure it is a powerful SUV or Jeep. Some daredevils have managed to do this journey on a bike! We were driven past the Kune falls, to a point called as Fanasarai. From this point, it is around 8 km walk to the Udhewadi village. You can hike from Dellas adventures to Udewadi village. It is an easy route and will take you 2-4 hours.

There is something about being in the nature between the mountains that rejuvenates you. As we walked the sun was already setting. The hiking route is in between the mountains, inside the valley, so the dusk was falling fast. In no time it was dark, and the last bit of the hike was to be done in darkness with torches. I was walking with full hopes of meeting the fireflies at this point. But unfortunately, I didn’t get to see any. Rajmachi night trek should be done in humid weather in order to witness the magical fireflies.

Rajmachi Camping

There are several options of camping at the base of the twin forts of Rajmachi. If you have your own tent and food, you can set up your camp near the Udaysagar Lake or at Kalbhairav temple. If you don’t have tents, you can easily rent them at Udhewadi village. Another way is to stay for the night at traditional local houses in Udhewadi village. Our trek organisers opted for the 2nd option of local homestays.

Udhewadi Village is nothing but a small group of houses at the foothills of Rajmachi twin forts. It has approximately 22 households. The locals are extremely tourist-friendly as this is their source of livelihood. These people offer amazing homestays at some cheap rates. They also provide you with delicious local Maratha food. We reached Udhewadi village after sunset and had our dinner. Unfortunately, untimely rains had caused the fireflies to turn away, meaning we didn’t get to see any.

Shrivardhan Fort (Ballekilla) at Rajmachi

The next day after a quick breakfast we started up the Shrivardhan Fort. Shrivardhan is higher in height than its other twin. It was used for keeping an eye on the Borghat trade route. Going atop Shrivardhan fort is easy because there are stone stairs for half of the way. At later stages, you have to climb over the rocks, which is easy too. Make sure to stop and enjoy the views of Rajmachi.

You will find a person selling lemon sherbet (lemonade) at the top. The remains of the ancient architecture will remind you of the grandeur of our ancestors. From atop the Shrivardhan Fort you can see in the Ulhas valley below. You can also see Kataldhar waterfall in distance.

At the time I visited Shrivardhan Fort the entire valley was full of clouds and the weather was very humid. But standing atop the mountain fort seemed like being above the clouds. For a moment the valley was covered in the clouds, the next moment we could see clearly for miles. While climbing up Shrivardhan Fort, if you look towards your right you can see a small mirror-like Udaysagar Lake.

Rajmachi Caves

There is a cave on the way, where we stopped for resting. The first picture in this blog is clicked at this Rajmachi Cave. You can even set up your camp at this cave. The caves at Rajmachi can accommodate almost 40 people. It is difficult to set up a tent here, as it is always windy on the mountain. Instead, this cave atop Shrivardhan fort is the best place to spend the night.

Kalbhairavnath Temple

At the base of Shrivardhan Fort is the temple of Kalbhairavnath. This temple is also a place where you can set up your camp for the night. The surrounding mountains seem very high due to their close proximity. We visited this place on the way to Shrivardhan Fort. You can see it in the picture above which I clicked from the top of Shrivardhan, from nearby the caves. The temple is in ancient Konkani style architecture.

Manaranjan Fort (Balekilla) at Rajmachi

As we had to descend towards Kondane village in time before sunset, we skipped Manaranjan fort. Manaranjan was clearly visible from the highest point of Shrivardhan Fort. Manaranjan Fort like the name suggests was used for leisure. Even today you can find rock-cut jacuzzi tubs filled with natural water on the top. From the top of Manaranjan fort, you can see Dhak Bahiri, Sinhagad, Raigad, Rajgad, Lohagad and some mountains of Matheran on a clear day. It is an interesting exercise trying to find out which mountains is which fort. Dhak Bahiri is clearly visible due to its close proximity.

Kataldhar Waterfall near Rajmachi Forts

Kataldhar Waterfalls can be seen from Shrivardhan Fort. But alas, when I visited the waterfall was dry. I could still see the beautiful circular shaped rocks, from where it falls. Kataldhar is the highest waterfall in Pune district. Its also called the Horseshoe Waterfall due to its beautiful arched shape. There is no water here except for the monsoon. While visiting Rajmachi, keep 4-5 hours reserved for Kataldhar waterfall trek.

If you wish to go near to the waterfall, you have to descend through the dense forest of Ulhas Valley. Even experienced trekkers cannot find there way near to the waterfalls. It is best to go with a local guide or someone who knows the Kataldhar waterfall trekking route. Behind the waterfalls is an eye-shaped cave which can easily accommodate a 100 people. When you reach the falls you can see the twin-forts in distance.

You need to take a tiny forest trail from near a mango tree. This trail cannot be found so easily. But once you find it, there is a huge waterfall ahead that needs to be crossed. Later you will reach a concrete road leading towards the falls.

Uday Sagar Lake

After coming down from Shrivardhan Fort, we headed straight towards the Udaysagar Lake and the adjacent temple. This is a very good spot to cool off after the trek. This lake is like a reservoir of water for the village and also for everyone who treks to Rajmachi. Several trekkers use the banks of this lake as a campsite.

Godhaneshwar Shiva Temple

Besides the lake, is a quaint old Shiva temple, which dates long back in time. It is a must-visit place in Rajmachi. The finest details of the carved architecture of this basalt rock temple will leave you speechless. The lake nearby adds a cool and calm atmosphere to this place. Godhaneshwar temple is the best place to meditate by yourself.

There is a Gomukh – water outlet here which miraculously gives water for 365 days a year. At the time we visited, there were small drips falling through. This ancient architecture is so cleverly built by our ancestors, that apart from standing tall for centuries, it also functions as if it were built yesterday!

Descent to Kondana Caves

After lunch, we started our descent towards Kondhane caves. Kondana caves are located near a small village called Kondane near Karjat. This was the challenging yet the most beautiful part of the trek. As we went below, we seldom met other trekkers trying to climb the Rajmachi from this side. The way is through some dense forest. If there was no guide with us, we could have been lost easily. On the way, there were numerous pretty waterfalls and other beautiful sights. But I couldn’t capture much, because by now I was into survival mode. The trek leaders were extremely supportive at this part of the journey.

Kondana Caves

I was tired after trekking from Rajmachi to Kondana Caves. But as soon as I saw the caves in the distance, I pushed forward with newfound energy. Inside the caves, at once you feel really cool and clam. There is a mighty waterfall which comes out through the caves. These Buddhist caves were carved in the 1st century B.C. and found out in the 19th century. There are various carvings and ancient style sculptures here. It also has one inscription which tells about the donors of the caves. There are some vendors selling snacks and lemon sherbet outside the caves.

Homeward Journey

After the Kondana Caves, we headed to the Kondane Village, then took a cab towards Karjat. I headed to Pune – my home with heavy feet and lots of memories.

What to Pack for Rajmachi Trek?

• Waterproof Backpack:  It is most important to have a backpack which means your hands remain free while you climb.
• Water bottles and Water Filters:  You will need 2-3 litres of water for a single trek. Bring one or two energy drinks too. You can take a water bottle with a filter (that removes bacteria and turbidity from water) if you want to drink water straight from the waterfalls or lakes.
• Trekking Shoes : Needless to say you will need proper trekking footwear to scale the Sahyadri.
• Personal Medical Kit:  You can take a pain relief spray for just in case and your regular medicines, etc. Do take an insect repellent with you. You will also need a good sunscreen in winters.
• And your  Cameras !

AN APPEAL TO TOURISTS AND TREKKERS

Please carry your trash and also the trash left by others! I saw several plastic bottles atop the Shrivardhan Fort, and also along the descent towards Kondana caves. It is very easy to throw a plastic bottle in the valley. But it is extremely difficult to find and collect the plastic trash strewn by tourist trekkers. If you are coming to the mountains, leave them in a better condition than you found them yourself.

There is a poor mobile network for most companies during the trek. Expect to be out of network during the trek. 

Will there be a changing room after the trek? 

Sorry for the inconvenience. The trek trailhead doesn't have a base village or restaurants. There is no changing room available. Girls can change inside the bus or at the restaurant near the Highway. 

Can we drive in our car to the waterfall?

Yes, you can drive in your car though we won't be able to service your request as there is a low mobile network, and we won't be able to communicate.

Are Domjhira Waterfall or Domzira Waterfall and Kalmandavi or Kalmandvi Waterfall the same?  

Domjhira waterfall is a beautiful hidden wonder located in Jawhar near Khadkhad Dam. It is a cascading waterfall with a vast pond forming at its base. The fall is between two rocky patches and among the most beautiful places in Jawhar. The location is not guarded, and some areas' water is very deep. Park “Krasnodar” – one of the best parks in Russia

Park “Krasnodar” (unofficially “Galitsky Park”) is a city park with an area of about 23 hectares located next to the stadium of the football club “Krasnodar”, northeast of the center of Krasnodar , one of the fastest developing cities in Russia.

The park was created with funds from businessman Sergei Galitsky and opened on September 28, 2017. More than 2.5 thousand trees are planted in this park: oak, hornbeam, alder, bonsai, poplar, pine, tulip tree, maple, thuja, decorative plum, and one baobab. Park “Krasnodar” on Google Maps . The construction of the park began in the fall of 2016. The project was developed by the German architectural bureau GMP International. In 10 months, during which work was going on, it was possible to create a beautiful recreational facility with many walking paths, ponds, zones for active leisure, and other interesting areas.

The territory of the park is divided into 30 recreation zones for every taste: from walking with children and watching a movie in the open air to practicing active sports. Among them are a summer amphitheater, labyrinths, playgrounds, a cafe, a rope park, a skate park, a climbing wall, a terraced garden, a fountain, an English park, and much more.

All objects of this urbanistic natural complex consist of spirals, bends and hemispherical lines, which are especially noticeable from a height.

The lighting of the park is an integral part of the original design project.
