We are 7 women ages 24-69, 4 sisters, 2 friends and one niece. We had a wonderful time with Billy our driver. He was very accommodating. His English is very clear. He drove us in an amazing Mercedes van that was very clean. He has a lot of knowledge of Rhodes and we enjoyed ourselves immensely.

WOW – what an incredible tour. We were traveling on a cruise and my wife and I wanted the benefit of local insight without the crowds of excursion groups. We travel a lot all over the world and this was one of the best days/experiences of our “travel life”! We can’t say enough about Mike and his tour. Convenient pick-up (right next to the cruise), local knowledge, great personality, did a great job of taking us places and then giving us time to ourselves while there if we desired. If you are looking for a great way to experience the island and you want to have a truly special day – this is the tour for you! We feel in love with Rhodes AND Mike!

Very poor experience can't even explain the situation. Can't Believe it that these kind of people really exist

Soman’s Leisure Tours - Kashmir Tour - 25th November’23 to 29th November’23 -Embarrassingly Poor Tour Management!

Rating- 3.5/10

We(22 members) had a scattered check-in at Kochi. Were given Rs 500 per head to have lunch at Delhi during the layover enroute to Srinagar. We reached Srinagar to be hustled by a score of car drivers who stuffed us(on the tour guide’s instructions), into old rickety 1990’s Qualis & Tata Sumos, -7 persons in a car-since only 3 cars were permitted by “the company”.

Next surprise was the Hotel-Green Rooms. The room size was similar to the green rooms that artists use back-stage during a drama at an auditorium! We were welcomed into rooms having blood-stained bed sheets, hair rolls inside the toilet, torn bedsheets, torn duvets, torn pillow covers, yellow smelly towels & dirty tea-stained kettles.

The dinner and breakfast served at the lobby level restaurant followed a set pattern of dishes(salad-soup-1 paneer, 1 mix veg, 1 chicken) & the same cuisine! Very much to the annoyance of all the tour members without any exception. The hotel personnel said” we prepare & serve what is told by the co-ordinator”

On a positive note all of us in unison-liked the pro-active and cheerful attitude of the restaurant service personnel.

The 1st day we were taken to Pahalagam. The bus provided definitely had no proper suspension system and shock absorbers in place thereby all the ladies, in particular were left with sore back/back pains.

Enroute we stopped for lunch at an outlet named “Festival Inn”. Horrible food was served. Burnt rotis, smelly sheekh kebabs in a jhatka gravy and to add to the issue, a very dirty smelly toilet to use for the 22 members of the tour. With no one else in the outlet, we knew this was a make-shift arrangement by “the company”

The bus halted at a junction. After 4-5 hours drive we were then asked to use smaller SUV’s. These SUV’s were not fit to be operated and were Tata Sumos of the 1990’s! Three SUVs again stuffing us into the vehicles, as per company cost-cutting policy! We returned back at approx 8 PM. Needless to say, the dinner gravies tasted the same.

The 2nd day was a trip to Gulmarg. The only bright spot was the fact that it was snowing that afternoon. Had lunch at 4:30 pm…so much for tour time management! Returned back to Green Rooms for dinner and the next day(3rd day) breakfast, same parameters, so most the members had bread toast!

The 3rd day was for Dal Lake, Mughal Gardens and local sight-seeing.

We realized the problem of food(an important aspect in any group tour) was because the menus were wrongly compiled and the tour co-ordinator was obviously a green horn!

Overall, a really messy affair of tour management, same food/cuisine over many meals, hotel with dirty unclean rooms, poor logistics and old rickety vehicles + layovers of 5 hours and 4 junglee sandwiches to deal with over the 2 flights!

There’s a saying in the hospitality language “You never get a 2nd chance to make a 1st impression…& last impressions are lasting impressions”. Alas, both impressions were poor.

Kashmir with SOMAN LEISURE TOURS IS DEFINITELY A STRICT- NO-NO! THIS WAS THE COLLECTIVE OPINION OF ALL 22 MEMBERS WHO TRAVELLED.

I am a person who have travelled 42 countries around the world. I have tried many tour operators in India and in overseas in my life, but I can proudly say that Soman's is one of the best. It is even better than COSMOS and TRAFALGAR in Europe. The professionalism and standard of Soman Tours are exceptional. And more over, the Managing Director Soman is learning lessons from every tour that he conducts and he tries to fill up the gaps(if any) in his next tour. In pricewise, Somans company may be little bit expensive comparing with other Tour operators in Kerala, but you will get the best service from him and you will never repent. So all the best Somans.

The Flight tickets were arranged personally, we had a customized trip with Somas's. We reached Srinagar at 23rd noon. The Driver Bilal welcomed us at the airport. Our stay was arranged at Heritage Luxury. It was an ambient and awesome experience at the place of stay. We had a complementary break fast and dinner. The food was good except on one day. The more interesting experience of this tour was that, we had a very good Cab driver named Bilal. He arranged everything for us as a good driver as well a guide. Everyday on his guidance we started early to avoid traffic congestion at Srinagar. He took us to Pahalgam, Doodhpathri, Gulmarg and local sight seeing at Mughal gardens and local purchase. All the food served eateries he took us was pleasent and satisfactory. He explained to us about the food Waswan, Roghan rosh etc. The whole trip was very well arranged by Somans tour. The boat house we stayed was a luxury one even though it was cold inside due to power failure caused due to rain. The boat house faced the mountains, hence we had a exotic experience in the morning. The tour to Sonmarg was dropped due to(landslide) heavy traffic congestion. this was substituted by Doodpathri which gave us an ecstatic experience as well as that schedule gave a resting time as well. My group of five was very much pleased with the experience rendered by the Somans leisure group. We were all aged above 50 and had a marvelous experience. Our heart felt thanks to Somans leaisure group. We are interested to choose Somans for our future endeavour too.

One of the most unprofessional Tour company .if you are a serious traveller you must avoid touring with SOMANS .

This is our second Bad Experience with SOMANS having travelled earlier to Georgia and now Turkey

1 Airlines they chose are always low cost and the meal preferences are not duly registered at the time of Booking .

2 The schedules are such you get into the Hotel at Midnight and must be ready for next assignment at 4 In the morning

3 The Atmosphere inside the coach is like a picnic with customers encouraged in singing and loud talking most of the time and thereby missing out on the local coach explanation of the vivid details and importance of the places of visit .

This is no Tour Company for any serious traveller interested in knowing more about the place they visit and must avoid if you value the money you have spent

I had a really really bad experience with Soman Leisure Tours India - Kochi.I wanted to travel to Europe with my daughter through Soman Leisure Tours India.I spoke to one Ms Maria Soman who couldn't clear my doubts regarding certain questions which i had put forward to her.It is very natural for a first time traveller to Europe to have questions / doubts.I wanted to escalate the query to the managing director Mr MK Soman.To my utter disgust the person, Mr MK Soman was so egoistic, egomaniacal, so self absorbed, arrogant and was a boastful beast. Soman tours is purely a money minting tour.They are least bothered/interested about customer satisfaction.They are least supportive, not all hospitable or considerate or thoughtful about the customers.To my utter dismay the manager was so rude.How does he think of running business like this?I plead to all the customers whoever is thinking of picking a tour package through Soman's please think a thousand times before choosing one.I would rather suggest to go for other tour operators and do a market search before picking up this particular Tour company.Think before picking this tour company because it might make your life very miserable after you have made the transactions.Happy travelling.

I had done a group tour to Europe with Somans and had a good experience. With that in mind I customized a trip with family to Malaysia Singapore April 13 to 18, 2019 and was really disappointed. They said it will be customized for me but all throughout Singapore I was with other local groups. In Malaysia I had very bad experience of rude behavior with Somans associate ASIAN SEASON Travel, What Somans do is they transfer the trip to some third rate local agents who are really unprofessional and rude. From a staff of Asian Season travel(Raman) i had a very rude behavior. They never answer your calls, never tell you the details of trip and when we ask them why, they behave like Hindi movie villians. The driver arranged in Singapore was also erratic on roads unsafe and used foul language. In Singapore they arranged accommodation in a hotel where renovation was going on. A lot of such things really spoiled our trip. Never go fro customized trips with Somans. If you are to Malaysia beware of AISAN SEASON Travel. Stay away from them. Look fro other options.

I had a Europe tour with Soman`s Leisure Tours India on 8th July 2018 to 23rd July 2018. As itinerary  he offered 4 star and 5 star accommodation. But even some hotels are 4*, the hotel management refused to give amenities like morning coffee/coffee kettle, drinking water, toilet chapel even air conditioning facility too.

On detailed inquiry we came to know that was because as the Soman Leisure insisted them to  reduce facilities to reduce accommodation costs.  How ever we feels  soman was cheating us heavily by giving cheap accommodation without a/c for two days, and all over tour by cutting amenities

Five Arizona hotels were just named among the best in the world for 2024.

Travel + Leisure unveiled its 2024 T+L 500 list of the world's best hotels, compiled based on ratings from its readers, in its May issue. The list includes five Arizona hotels, including four that made T+L's 2023 best hotels in Arizona ranking .

Readers evaluate based on their levels of quality, luxury, service and amenities. Here's a look at which Arizona hotels made the Travel + Leisure 2024 best hotels list.

Five Arizona hotels selected by Travel + Leisure

Readers of Travel + Leisure, America's largest travel media brand, selected five Arizona hotels on its 2024 ranking of the world's best hotels:

• Castle Hot Springs, Morristown.
• The Hermosa Inn, Paradise Valley.
• Mountain Shadows Resort, Paradise Valley.
• Sanctuary Camelback Mountain, A Gurney's Resort & Spa, Paradise Valley.
• Tanque Verde Ranch, Tucson.

How Travel + Leisure World's Best hotels 2024 were chosen

The T+L 500 list is derived from T+L's annual World's Best Awards, selected based on reader reviews and feedback. Readers were surveyed about their travel experiences around the world, including hotels, cities, islands, airlines, cruise ships and other experiences.

Readers rated hotels based on their rooms and facilities, location, service, food and overall value. They scored each category on a scale from "excellent" to "poor."

The hotels recognized this year are favorites among the publication's readers, who named Castle Hot Springs the best Arizona hotel of 2021 and 2022 and the Hermosa Inn the state's best of 2023. All except for Tanque Verde Ranch were included on last year's list of the 10 best hotels in Arizona.
