Primary Features

Some key features of the Titleist Prestige golf ball include its soft cover, multi-layer construction, advanced dimple design, and consistent performance. The soft cover provides a great feel around the greens, while the multi-layer design allows for maximum energy transfer and spin control. The aerodynamic dimple pattern ensures a stable flight path, while the consistent performance of the Titleist Prestige golf ball makes it a popular choice among golfers of all skill levels.

Factors to Consider

When evaluating the Titleist Prestige golf ball or any similar product, there are several key factors to consider. Firstly, think about your skill level and playing style. Are you a beginner looking for a ball that offers forgiveness and distance, or are you a more experienced player who values control and feel around the greens? Understanding your own preferences and needs will help you make a more informed decision.

Next, consider the construction of the golf ball. Titleist Prestige balls are known for their multi-layer construction, which helps to optimize performance in terms of distance, spin, and control. Pay attention to the characteristics of each layer and how they work together to enhance your game. Additionally, think about the cover material – urethane covers tend to offer better feel and control, while ionomer covers may provide more durability.

Another important factor to consider is the compression of the golf ball. Lower compression balls are softer and compress more easily on impact, which can help players with slower swing speeds generate more distance. Higher compression balls, on the other hand, are better suited for players with faster swing speeds who require more control. Choose a compression level that matches your swing speed for optimal performance.

Tips for Making an Informed Purchase

To ensure that you make the right purchase decision when buying Titleist Prestige golf balls or any similar product, consider the following tips. Firstly, do your research. Read reviews from other players, both amateur and professional, to get a sense of how the balls perform in real-world situations. Look for feedback on factors such as distance, spin, feel, and durability to gauge whether the balls will meet your expectations.

Additionally, take advantage of demo days or trial packs offered by golf retailers or manufacturers. Testing out different balls on the course or at a driving range can give you a firsthand experience of how they perform and feel. Pay attention to how the balls react to your swing and shots to determine which one suits your game the best.

When making your final decision, consider buying in bulk to save money in the long run. Many manufacturers offer discounts for purchasing multiple dozens of golf balls at once. If you find a ball that you love, stocking up can be a cost-effective way to ensure that you always have a reliable supply on hand.

Lastly, don’t hesitate to seek advice from knowledgeable golf professionals or club fitters. These experts can offer personalized recommendations based on your individual swing characteristics and playing style. Their insights can help you narrow down your options and find the perfect golf ball for your game.

By considering these factors and following these tips, you can make an informed purchase decision when buying Titleist Prestige golf balls or any other similar product. Remember to prioritize your own preferences and needs to find a ball that enhances your performance and enjoyment on the course.

i'm fairly certain that's a "special" model only for big box stores

I was told that it was basically a 're-packaged' Pinnacle (not sure which model, however).

I don't think it comes even close to a Tour Professional. That was a balata ball. The tour prestige is hard a rock. I saw them at CostCo in a 24 pack if that tells you anything.
There used to be a Tour Prestige ball in the days before Pro V1. I think it was similar to the Tour Professional.
I believe this is correct. I believe that the Tour Prestige ball was Titleist's premium ball post balata pre Professional.

Tour Prestige - http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11255622 * Core Diameter - 1.580" * Cover Composition - Fusablend® * Cover Thickness - .050" * Dimples - 392 Icosahedral NXT Tour http://www.titleist.com/golfballs/nxttour.asp * Core Diameter - 1.580" * Cover Composition - Fusablend® * Cover Thickness - .050" * Dimples 392 Icosahedral

Driver :    PXG GEN4 0811x (9) / Mitsubishi Tensei CK Pro White Fairway :   PXG GEN4 (13) / 14.0

Hybrid:   PXG 0317 X  PXG GEN4 (19) / Mitsubishi MMT 80 Irons :   PXG PXG GEN4 0311 P (4 - Pw) / True Temper Elevate Tour  Wedge:   PXG Sugar Daddy Forged (50/9, 54/10 and 58/9) / True Temper Elevate Tour  Putter :   PXG Closer, 39.5" ArmLock Ball:    Bridgestone B X Bag :   PXG - Fairway White Camo Cary/Stand

so, its appears to be a pre-packaged NXT Tour???

dlygrisse

It is a two peice ball with a fusablend cover similar to the NXT Tour. Basically a Pinnacle with a softer cover, but not as soft as a urethane cover 2 peice like the Bridgestone E5+. I have played them, they are long, especially with the irons, and spin decent around the greens, but certainly not for for someone who wants a low checking wedge shot. Great ball for the money, but a step below the NXT tour or the E5+ in terms of wedge spin. I will play them if I am playing soft greens when I am not worried about the ball stopping.

Ping G400 Testing G410.  10.5 set at small - Ping G410 3, 5 and 7 wood

Ping G410 5 hybrid-not much use.   Mizuno JPX 921 Hot Metal. 5-G Vokey 54.10, 2009 58.12 M, Testing TM MG2 60* TW grind and MG3 56* TW grind.  Or Ping Glide Stealth, 54,58 SS.   Odyssey Pro #1 black Hoofer, Ecco, Bushnell ProV1x-mostly

I very very highly doubt they're repackaging the NXT tour, it's a lower level ball designed to give the titleist name at a budget price for big box stores
It is a two peice ball with a fusablend cover similar to the NXT Tour. ....
You wont find any information related to whether its a 2 piece or not. Until someone cuts one in half and posts some pictures we wont know for sure.

Have to agree on the New Tour Prestige being re-packaged NXT or a tweaked Pinnacle. The original Tour Prestige came out after the Professional and shared space on the shelves until the V1 put wound balls to rest. It was a urethane covered wound ball that was mushy compared to the Professional. My friend played them religiously and made them dance on the greens ... right before he hit the next shot thin and cut a smile in that badboy like a 17 year old on prom night. golow(tm)

I find them to be a hybrid of the NXT Tour and the NXT Extreme. Basically it's a 2 piece (Extreme) w/a Fusablend Cover (Tour). Alot of people like to bash them on this site but I really like it. It's long and pretty soft. They no longer sell them at Costco but I now see them at G-Smith and G-Galaxy being sold by the dozen for roughly $22. I think they play like the E6+.

This is basically the same specs as the 07-09 NXT Tour with a single core rather than dual cores. There is no telling what the core make up is or compression which could make for a big difference in performance.

Consider Titleist's overall reputation as a golf ball brand. Explore how the brand's history, commitment to quality, and standing within the golf community influence your confidence in the Tour Prestige balls. by tstoto

No weaknesses. All very good.

The tour prestige is a comfortable good ball witch it is great on green and adds some yards to my shots. Titleist has made a very good work in this ball

Bought 30 of these at walmart in the Hunter pakaging with an A rating. Bought them because they were only $10 for 15. These balls putt really well and fly true. A little short off the driver if you have a high swing sped like I do but not enough to matter.

Not quite as long as ProV1, but almost. About the same as Prov1 around the grenns.

I am a scratch golfer and usually play a pro v1 or titleist nxt tour depending on weather conditions. I was at the store today when I seen the titleist tour prestige. Being curious, I gave them a try. To me they had good distance, good feel, and very durable. The ball reminded me of a titleist nxt tour, but maybe a little more durable. I was extremely impressed with the ball and would recommend them.

Titleist NXT tour....

My ball is NXT-Tour and now have a new ball TourPrestige... While information does not indicate I belive this ball to be between the NXT-Tour and ProV1. I feel this ball to be the answer for those of us that do not have the ProV1 club head speed.. It is great...Thank you and thank you for the great intro price at GolfGalxy.....

Purchased these at Golfsmith Outlet at "sale" price of $21.99. Played one round alternating between Tour Prestige and Pro V1 for comparison. TP seemed to be shorter (but straighter)off the tee and on full approach shots. Feel around green and putting was very good. Overall, these seem to give a "thud" instead of a click when hit with driver. I will not purchase again.

Teenagers have taken pro golf by storm in recent weeks. Blades Brown could be next.

Brown, 16, will make his PGA TOUR debut at next week’s inaugural Myrtle Beach Classic on a sponsor exemption, he announced Thursday on Instagram.

Last year, Brown was the youngest stroke play co-medalist in U.S. Amateur history, breaking a 103-year-old record previously held by Bobby Jones. He was named the 2023 Tennessee Boys’ Junior and Men’s Player of the Year – the first to achieve this double – and he currently stands No. 4 on the Rolex AJGA Rankings. The Nashville native, a high school sophomore, won back-to-back AJGA titles last summer and finished top-10 at this year’s Jones Cup and Terra Cotta Invitational, amateur events of prestige. He also won last year’s Tennessee Junior by 12 strokes.

Brown’s athletic genes are robust – his mom Rhonda Brown was an acclaimed basketball player, starting at point guard for Vanderbilt and playing in the WNBA. His first name is derived from his mom’s maiden name, Blades.

Brown’s exemption means that a 16-year-old will compete on TOUR for the second straight week, as England’s Kris Kim debuted at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson on Thursday. Kim did so in style with an opening-round, 3-under 68 that included a chip-in eagle on his final hole. This came on the heels of Miles Russell, 15, finishing T20 at the Korn Ferry Tour’s LECOM Suncoast Classic two weeks ago – becoming the youngest player to finish inside the top 25 on the PGA TOUR or Korn Ferry Tour, on record (since 1983).

That finish earned Russell a spot in the following week’s Korn Ferry Tour event, the Veritex Bank Championship, where he shed further light on the game’s youth movement.

“Everybody has access to a ton of stuff, if it's a launch monitor, just some of the best coaches, you know?” Russell said. “The equipment, too, like TaylorMade, like all these companies are starting to help younger kids out with gloves, balls, like all the stuff. I think that's a big part of it, and having the right clubs to fit into. I mean, everybody's just so talented. There's so many ways to be good, and everybody's finding like every little detail to be good at it or to try to be the best.”

Russell, the reigning AJGA Player of the Year, proved his game stacks up quite well against the pros. Next week, Brown will look to follow suit.

  1. Titleist Tour Prestige Balls

Model Reviewed: Titleist Tour Prestige. Purchased these at Golfsmith Outlet at "sale" price of $21.99. Played one round alternating between Tour Prestige and Pro V1 for comparison. TP seemed to be shorter (but straighter)off the tee and on full approach shots. Feel around green and putting was very good.

Shoots in the 90s. Model Reviewed: tour prestige. has a good overall feel and performance.distance is about the same as other balls, but much softer feel. as a higher handicap player, i don't have the finesse and workability of better golfers, but in my mind i do seem to do a little better with this ball. the price was quite reasonable as well.

  7. Titleist Tour Prestige Balls

Model Reviewed: Titleist Tour Prestige. In short, a lot more durable than the balata, not as soft as the Professional, but with a higher spin rate off the short irons. Good distance. Since you can't use a different ball for every shot, and no one ball has everything, the Tour Prestige is a happy middle ground.

  8. Titleist Tour Prestige Balls

Shoot in the 80s. Model Reviewed: Titleist Tour Prestige 90. Titleist Tour Prestige 90 compression handles nicely. It feels a bit soft struck with stiff shafts but it flies true and lands softly. Nice around the green. Would recommend this ball if one is looking for a more controlled and at-ease round of golf.

Posted August 18, 2009. Have to agree on the New Tour Prestige being re-packaged NXT or a tweaked Pinnacle. The original Tour Prestige came out after the Professional and shared space on the shelves until the V1 put wound balls to rest. 14. Ball Lab: 2022 Titleist Tour Speed

The 2022 Titleist Tour Speed is a three-piece golf ball with a 346-dimple cover. While not as soft as a good bit of the competitive set, it offers high-flight, low-ish spin off the tee that you typically find with softer golf balls. With the higher relative compression, it tends to be a bit faster than those competitors.

  15. Evolution of Titleist Golf Balls: Remember These?

Sold as many as 15,00 balls in one year. I've collected logo balls to the point that I'm running out of room for them. Just last week as I was hunting balls, I came across a Titleist Tour Prestige golf ball. The thing that makes it unusual is that it passed right through my ball retrievers orange head. That means that it's a "British Size Ball".
