Like the Tour, the Maxfli Tour X is a great ball for mid-to-low handicap players with moderate to fast swing speeds, 95 mph or above with a driver.

However, players who prioritize maximum distance over greenside feel, and either prefer a higher ball flight, or need a ball that will help them launch it a little higher, fit better into the Tour X than the Tour.

We compared the Maxfli Tour and Tour X with some serious testing at the practice green and on the course. Here’s how they stacked up.

Off the Tee

Off the tee, the Tour X churned out higher top-end distance, but both balls rewarded well-struck drives with satisfying distance.

Both balls performed exactly how you’d expect a premium ball to perform in the approach game. Both held greens with ease off irons and wedges. Distances in the approach game were consistent with other balls in the class, and as premium balls, both the Tour and Tour X are easy to shape and flight however you desire.

The Tour X launched just a touch higher than the Tour, which made those flushed mid-iron shots even more satisfying, which is why we gave the edge in this category to the Tour X. 

However, players who prefer a penetrating flight, or already hit the ball high, perhaps too high, should favor the Tour in this category.

We were particularly impressed with the Tour and Tour X around the greens. Both balls were easy to control from greenside chips, making the two-hop-and-stop chip shot look easy. 

Comparing the two, the Tour had the edge over the Tour X in greenside control. It launched just a touch lower on chip shots and stopped a little quicker, making it easier to control. The Tour X still performed exceptionally, but the point goes to the Tour.

Even though the Tour X technically won more categories than the Tour, the thrill of hitting creative chips and pitches around the green with the Tour outweighed a couple yards off the tee or a slightly higher launch window from the Tour X, so we gave the overall nod to the Tour.

Even at the one-box price of $40 per dozen, the Tour and Tour X are more than a 20% savings over the Pro V line. When you buy in bulk, you save even more. Two dozen balls cost $35 per dozen, and if you buy four boxes at a time, they’re just $30 per dozen, which is getting close to half the price of the $53 per dozen Pro V1 and Pro V1x.

Maxfli Tour vs Tour X: Differences

Both balls feature the proprietary OG balancing technology. They offer awe-inspiring performance and extreme durability.

What follows is the comprehensive comparison of both balls using different comparison metrics to determine their differences.

The Maxfli Tour ball has a slightly lower launch angle and spin rate than the Tour X ball.

It has a mid-launch profile, while the Tour X has a mid-high-launch profile.

The Tour Response offers premium-like performance without the price tag. It is great for those who have a faster-than-average swing speed and want good control around the greens too.

With a short game feel and control to rival many premium models, the Srixon Q-Star Tour is a hugely impressive performer in the increasingly competitive mid-priced golf ball category.

• Impressive short game spin

In this review, we compare the TaylorMade Tour Response golf ball with the Srixon Q-Star Tour, to see which of these mid-range balls delivers the best performance for golfers on a budget.

TaylorMade consumer surveys found that many golfers play expensive premium balls that aren’t suited to their actual playing ability and wanted to tempt golfers to look beyond market leading tour balls.

The result was the TaylorMade Tour Response. Srixon is also targeting the same golf demographic with its Q-Star Tour ball, its softest ball delivering tour level performance. 

Both balls are made with urethane covers, the gold standard material used to cover most of the best golf balls and both have an overall compression around the 70-72 mark, significantly lower than market-leading balls like the Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x .

We tested both on the golf course and on a launch monitor to see how they compared.

The TaylorMade Tour Response looks like an expensive premium ball. Its 322 dimples form a clean uniform pattern and it has a quality soft and tacky feel in the hand.

The numbers on the Tour Response are deep red and its branded alignment arrow shows the ball name as well as making it easy to line up drives and putts.

Srixon’s Q-Star Tour ball looks and feels like its top-end Z-STAR ball but has a black number instead of red. The black alignment arrow on the side is a nice touch combining the ball name and a handy aiming guide off the tee and on the greens. As a urethane covered ball, it also has a nice sticky feel in the hand.

The TaylorMade Tour Response felt firmer than the Srixon Q-Star Tour, especially off the putter face and wedges, and with finesse shots around the green.

Srixon uses SpinSkin with SeRM, a form of flexible coating which it says digs deep into wedge and iron grooves for increased friction and maximum spin. In short game testing, both balls performed well, offer plenty of stop and a predictable reaction on landing. On pure feel and feedback, I enjoyed chipping and pitching the Srixon ball more.

It seemed softer and more responsive, especially when I didn’t quite middle it.

With centre strikes and good shots, the Tour Response reacts well, with plenty of spring and energy, but mishit shots felt dull and a little lifeless. Sometimes, the ball felt heavy and dense off the face.

The Srixon Q-Star Tour felt superior around the greens, generating more spin, especially on short to mid-range low flighted pitches. On higher softer shots, like lobs and greenside pitches, both balls performed about the same.

The flight and spin profiles of the TaylorMade Tour Response and Srixon Q-Star Tour are similar. Both balls are pitched as mid-high launch and low spin and this pattern had merit during on-course and launch monitor testing.

For two balls with high launch low-spin characteristics and a softer compression core, you’d expect similar results. With mid to long irons, I got similar flight profiles but more stability in the flight with the Tour Response.

Both balls stopped quickly on approach shots into greens but the Tour Response flies a lot like the best TaylorMade golf balls with less spin and a straighter flight that doesn’t deviate.

The Q-Star Tour ball flew higher for me and was marginally less accurate in terms of dispersion on the launch monitor.

It was hard to separate the balls in terms of distance control in a round of mid-iron testing. Both were as long as tour balls I’ve played and averaged over 170 yards with 7-iron in testing – further than my stock yardage of 169 – recorded on a gapping test with a Pro V1x using a Foresight GC2 launch monitor.

In driver testing, TaylorMade Tour Response was a clear favourite for me.

It launched high and flew with a stable consistent flight. The spin rate was a touch high at just below 3000rpm, but it didn’t prevent the ball getting out there. On course, in a stiff breeze, it flew with a nice rainbow flight and seemed to cut through wind well.

The Srixon Q-Star Tour launched and flew higher but felt spinny on the course and testing it on the launch monitor, I just couldn’t get the distance I was achieving with the Tour Response.

Both balls performed well around the green, the Srixon Q-Star Tour edging it slightly because of its combination its softer feel and grippier cover on chips and pitches.

Launch monitor testing showed that the Q-Star Tour span more with my wedges than the TaylorMade Tour Response but that the TaylorMade ball held a tighter dispersion and was generally more consistent in peak flight.

The TaylorMade Tour Response ball feels like a softer and cheaper version of the brand’s elite TP5 and TP5 X balls with its only downside being a firm, dull feel on off-centre strikes.

Srixon’s Q-Star Tour excels around the green and held its own in long game testing but didn’t click for me off the tee.

Considering the price point, I would rate both balls comfortably in the best mid-price golf balls category delivering tour-like performance, soft feel and ample distance. It’s likely that moderate to slower swingers will experience better distance gains by switching to a softer lower compression ball with a thinner faster cover.

Choose the TaylorMade Tour Response if... - You want a value-for-money three piece golf ball that performs close to premium equivalents - You want higher launch, consistent distance and stable flight in the long game - You prefer a firmer feel on short shots - Value durability over time

You might have heard the word ‘trip’ and ‘tour’ used quite frequently but have you ever wondered what these two terms exactly mean? Most students might think that both these terms are the same and can be used interchangeably. But that is not correct. After reading this article, one will understand how or when to use the words ‘trip’ and ‘tour’.

Not only these words, but there are many words in the English Language which students find pretty confusing to comprehend. The main reason for this confusion is most of those words seem like they can be used interchangeably and have the same meanings, but that’s not the case always. Most students think the words ‘trip’ and ‘tour’ are the same, but that’s not the case. Both words have entirely different meanings and would be incorrect if used interchangeably. The word ‘trip’ can be used both as a noun and a verb. Mammoth Cave National Park – Which Tour Should You Do?

“My God… That’s spectacular.” On our final tour at Mammoth Cave National Park, the man directly in front of us said this exact line every single time we turned a corner. No, I’m not exaggerating. While I didn’t share his same enthusiasm, I will say that Mammoth Cave is pretty cool. Some of these rock formations are incredible and it’s worth a visit to tour this cave system.

About Mammoth Cave

Mammoth Cave National Park is home to the worlds largest cave system, with over 400 miles of cave discovered and mapped so far (and still many miles of cave that still need to be explored). The cave is massive and until you visit, it can be difficult to really understand how the true scale of these caves.

Mammoth Cave National Park is located in central Kentucky, just outside of Cave City. A visit here is a little different than most of your national park experiences. Rather than just jumping in your car and exploring on your own, you must sign up for guided tours of the cave. There is a self guided tour option for those who don’t like the idea of a group tour. However, a ranger led tour will give you so much more information about the area you’re exploring.

We took three tours: The Star Chamber Tour, The Historic Tour, and the Domes and Dripstones Tour. All three were great and all taught us something new about the cave system. But there are still several others to choose from.

Mammoth Cave Tours

This tour at Mammoth Cave is a bit different than most. The cave is filled with artificial lights which are turned on during most tours so everyone can see where they are going. But during this tour, these artificial lights are turned off. You follow your guide through the cave by oil lantern, just like the early tourists who visited here. Because of the limited light, it can be difficult to truly grasp how big the cave really is. Still, it is a great experience. You’ll travel down through the main entrance and down Gothic Avenue before reaching the Star Chamber, at which point you’ll turn around and retrace your steps.

If you’re going to do this tour, I recommend making this your first tour. It’s a great introduction to the cave. The cave feels big, but the lanterns don’t really let you see the true scale. The next day, when we took the Historic Tour, my mom and I were in awe of how big the cave really was. I don’t think you’ll get that same experience if you do the Star Chamber Tour at the end.

It’s such a unique experience that I have to recommend doing this tour.

Historic Tour

This tour is a classic and leads you down into Mammoth Cave. You’ll enter through the main entrance and retrace some of the steps you made on the Star Chamber tour. However, now you have the artificial lights turned on and you can really get a sense for how massive this cave system is. It’s amazing how much different and bigger the cave feels with those artificial lights.

There are two big things to be aware of before signing up for this tour. There can be low ceilings and narrow passage ways. At a few points in the tour, you may need to crouch down and walk along the passage way for an extended period. For reference, I’m 5 feet 4 inches and I occasionally had to crouch down, while my mom at 5 feet 7 inches had to duck more often.

My mom was a little nervous about this, but said that the rangers over exaggerated how bad it was going to be. Still, you know your limits. If you are concerned, talk to rangers before you book your tickets. They will also reiterate all of this information at the safety briefing before starting your tour.

Domes and Dripstones

This is the tour that I think of when I think of Mammoth Cave. It was on this tour that we heard “My God… That’s incredible!” at least 25 times in the course of the two hour tour.

From the visitor center, you’ll board a bus and travel to another entrance to the cave. At this second entrance, you’ll descend a narrow staircase down into the cave. Once you’re down here, the rangers will lead you to some of the most incredible rock formations of the cave system. The highlight for me was the Frozen Niagra area toward the end of the tour.

This tour had more narrow spaces than the Historic Tour, but I found myself having to duck less on this tour than on the Historic Tour. You will get a safety briefing before your tour that will outline exactly what you’re going to go through.

More Tour Options

The above three tours are the tours that I have first hand experience with. But those aren’t the only tours available at Mammoth Cave.

Accessible Tour – For those with limited mobility, take a look at this tour. This is 2 hours, 0.5 miles, and has no stairs. Cost: $22 per adult.

Cleveland Avenue – This focuses on Cleveland Avenue and the Snowball Room and you’ll see unique passages and gypsum covered walls. This is 2 hours, 1 mile, and 200 stairs. Cost: $22 per adult.

Discovery (Self Guided) – This is the only self-guided option to explore Mammoth Cave. This is 1.25 hours, 0.75 miles, and 125 stairs. Cost: $8 per adult.

Extended Historic – Unsurprisingly, this the Historic Tour with an extension (to the 1840s Cave Experiment). This is 2.25 hours, 2 mile, and 540 stairs. Cost: $23 per adult.

Frozen Niagara – If you only want to see Frozen Niagara and skip the rest of the Domes and Dripstones tour, look at this tour. This is 1.25 hours, 0.25 mile, and 110 stairs (98 are optional). Cost: $18 per adult.

Gothic Avenue – This focuses on more in depth on Gothic Avenue, which is also seen on Star Chamber, Historic Tour, and Violet City Lantern Tour. This is 2 hours, 1 mile, and 160 stairs. Cost: $19 per adult.

Great Onyx Lantern Tour – This is another lantern tour, but it should be noted that this cave is not known to be part of the Mammoth Cave system. Remember that the cave system is still being mapped and explored, so one day, they may be able to connect it with the Mammoth Cave system. This is 2.25 hours, 1 mile, and 40 stairs. Cost: $23 per adult.

Grand Avenue – This is another in depth tour, but it does a deeper dive on the Domes and Dripstones tour. This is 4 hours, 4 mile, and 1313 stairs. Cost: $35 per adult.

Grand Historic – This is one of the most in depth tours and you’ll visit many of the iconic sites that are also seen on the Historic, Extended Historic, Gothic Avenue, Star Chamber, River Styx, Mammoth Passage, and Violet City tours. This is 4 hours, 4 mile, and 640 stairs. Cost: $35 per adult.

Mammoth Passage – This is an introduction to the Historic Tour and is a guided version of the Discovery (Self Guided tour). This is 1.25 hours, 0.75 mile, and 125 stairs. Cost: $11 per adult.

River Styx Lantern Tour – You’ll follow the Historic Tour, but also detour to the underground water level. This is 2.5 hours, 2.5 mile, and 600 stairs. Cost: $22 per adult.

Violet City Lantern Tour – This is another lantern tour option, but is slightly longer than the Star Chamber tour. This is 3 hours, 3 mile, and 160 stairs. Cost: $25 per adult.

Wondering Woods – This is more focusing on the surrounding forests, but does feature a short visit to the cave. This is 1.5 hours, 1 mile, and 194 stairs. Cost: $18 per adult.

Which Tour Should You Do?

The choice of tours is entirely up to you and you should take your own preferences into account, particularly if you love geology. But for the average person, I think the three tours I did (Star Chamber, Historic, and Domes and Dripstones) is a really good combination. Many tours overlap (at least partially) with another tour and I feel like we really got to see a lot of the cave.

On our trip, we arrived into Cave City at around 3:00pm. We got an early dinner in Cave City and then drove to Mammoth Cave National Park We took the Star Chamber Tour at 6:15 that evening. The next day we took the 10:00am Historic Tour and the 2:15 Domes and Dripstones Tour.

If you’re doing both the Historic Tour and Domes and Dripstones on the same day, I think this spacing (10am Historic and 2:15 Domes and Dripstones) works well. The Historic Tour finishes at 12:00, so you have plenty of time for lunch (there’s a Camp Store that serves sandwiches just down the road from the visitor center) and time to relax. If you take an earlier tour, you may be rushed during lunch.

Also note, that tour times change based on the season. We were here in early August when there were numerous tours available, but in winter fewer tours are offered. Always look ahead on the NPS website to see what tours are available for your dates.

It’s a good idea to book your tickets in advance. We booked our tours online approximately six weeks in advance for a visit in August. At that time, there were still plenty of tickets available. However, by the time we arrived in Cave City, nearly everything was sold out. If there’s a tour you really want to do, buy your ticket in advance.

Additional Helpful Tour Information

Each tour at Mammoth Cave (except the Accessible Tour) contains a lot of stairs. Both the Historic Tour and Domes and Dripstones state that you will do over 500 stairs. That said, the stairs are not all at once and are spread out throughout the tour, which is anywhere from .75 to 2 miles in length.

Tour groups can get big. The Star Chamber Tour has limited spots since they have limited lanterns. Our group for this tour had approximately 30 people. However, our groups for the Historic Tour and Domes and Dripstones were at least 100 people. To get the most out of your tour (and to maximize your time for photos), stick to the front of the group. We were at the back of the group for the Star Chamber Tour, but I don’t think we missed much. For the other two tours, had we stayed at the back, we would have gotten the essential information, but we would have missed some more of the “fun facts” and other random tidbits from our ranger. He’d typically give these facts to the front of the group while we waited for the back part of the group to file in.

There are no facilities on your tour. Use the bathroom before you depart and carry anything you might need (although you really shouldn’t need much as food and drinks other than water are not allowed in the cave).

Getting to Mammoth Cave

Look at the map before you go. There is no service and the National Park Service strongly recommends avoiding Google Maps to navigate you to the visitor center. We used Google Maps and had no problems, but it’s something you should be aware of.

When to Visit Mammoth Cave

Mammoth Cave is 52 degrees all year round, so they can be visited at any point. The biggest thing to note is that tour offerings change throughout the year. Summer will have more tours offered than winter.

We visited in early August, so while it was hot and humid outside (with temperatures in the upper 80s), the inside of the cave was cool. I wore leggings and had a light sweatshirt (I only used my sweatshirt on two of the three tours).

Where to Stay

The nearest town to Mammoth Cave is Cave City. It’s a small town with not a lot of options, but you will find a few choices for hotels and restaurants.

Final Thoughts

I’ve visited other caves, but nothing was quite like Mammoth Cave. The sheer scale is hard to imagine and when you’re standing in the cave, you can really feel small. It’s definitely worth a visit to Mammoth Cave National Park just to experience it.

I saw both Taylor Swift's Eras Tour and Beyoncé's Renaissance World tour. Both shows were memorable but only one was a once-in-a-lifetime concert.

• While both concerts were memorable, only Beyoncé's was a once-in-a-lifetime show. 
• Renaissance felt thematic and cohesive, while the Eras Tour's ambition left it feeling scattered.

It's the great battle of our time: both Taylor Swift and Beyoncé are on tour.

The fights between the Bey Hive and Swifties on Twitter would make you believe there's a war between these two artists. But actually, it's very easy to be a fan of both — take it from me!

I was lucky enough to snag tickets to both Swift's Eras Tour and Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour this year. So allow me to settle this conflict. 

Both concerts were memorable and I love both artists, but it's clear: Queen Bey still reigns.  

The Renaissance show was electric, a once-in-a-lifetime event featuring a polished set list and stylish production that never lost momentum.

That's not to say the Eras Tour wasn't fantastic — its epic scale certainly brought me to my knees — but seeing the Renaissance World Tour was far more worthwhile. 

Swift's Eras Tour was a true greatest-hits show

I saw Swift at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, in late May and was blown away by her performance. Before you ask: No, I didn't attend one of Swift's famously beloved rain shows . I was at the third and final Eras performance at Gillette, and thankfully stayed dry. 

I sat just a few rows off the stadium floor, close enough to see Swift without squinting but still at a distance to see the entire stage. Despite the Ticketmaster fiasco , I felt like I had secured good seats and somehow managed not to break the bank. 

The show was an expansive three-hour journey through Swift's discography, an impressive attempt to cover her entire career.

Swift traced her country roots with "Fearless" before digging into the electropop of "Reputation" and her latest pop endeavor, "Midnights." Every album — except Swift's debut, which is sadly absent from the setlist — got a moment to shine.

But Eras felt too big for its own good

There's no denying that Swift has the hits — even my grandmother hums "Shake It Off" when she hears it on the radio.

But with a three-hour concert and two opening acts, time was precious. The set list had an ebb and flow of sorts, like Swift was trying to go through her catalog by contrasting slower, stripped-back songs with her big pop anthems. This just didn't work for me, resulting in more of a mishmash than a cohesive work.

Some eras, particularly "Evermore" and "Midnights," were too long and quickly wore out their welcome. Others, such as "Folklore," came at awkward times in the concert when I wasn't sure if I wanted to sit down for a bit or make a quick bathroom break. Even "Red," my favorite, hit a roadblock with the 10-minute version of "All Too Well." That song is just too long!

There were similar lulls in the production and concert visuals. It was whiplash to go from intimate singer-songwriter Swift sitting alone at her piano to pop-diva Swift strutting around with her backup dancers.

Maybe it's a tall order for Swift to even explore her discography like this in the first place — for an artist that's made music in so many different genres, one big concert showcasing all of them is sure to have its stumbles from time to time. 

Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour never missed a beat

Beyoncé also brought the heat.

I saw Beyoncé at the historic Olympic Stadium in Barcelona, Spain, in early June. The floor of the stadium was general admission, and I really enjoyed standing there packed around other fans.

I never once wished I had gotten a seat up in the stands — if you have the chance to see Beyoncé in general admission, you take it. 

The two-and-a-half hour show started with Beyoncé belting some of her ballads, "Dangerously In Love," "Flaws And All," and "1 + 1."

She also performed "River Deep, Mountain High" in tribute to the late Tina Turner ; there wasn't a dry eye in the stadium.

After a few songs, Bey transitioned into "Renaissance," beginning with "I'm That Girl." Most songs off the album got time to shine. Notably absent from the set, though, were "Thique" and "All Up in Your Mind" — two personal favorites of mine, but I forgive Bey for not including them.

Renaissance was a curated showcase of joy and art, with strong themes and visuals

Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour never lost momentum. Any interlude or break in the setlist was filled with impressive dancers or teases for those long-awaited "Renaissance" visuals .

The energy was high the entire show, leaving little time for anyone to guess what she'd perform next. That's not to say that Bey didn't slow things down. She sang a stirring rendition of "Plastic Off the Sofa" before switching to the dizzying disco of "Virgo's Groove," but I never felt like there was a lull the entire performance.

Part of that may be Beyoncé's presence. It was impossible to keep my eyes off her. She danced full-out, hit every note, and dominated the stage with just a hair flip. She gave it her all even when she was just lying down in a giant clam shell. 

And while Beyoncé has certainly amassed many hits throughout her decades-long career, she made sure to tighten the focus of this concert on her most recent album. Some older favorites, such as "Freakum Dress," only got a snippet of airtime, but it was still enough to send fans into a frenzy.

That differs heavily from my experience with the Eras Tour, where I sometimes couldn't wait for songs to end. At the Renaissance World Tour, I wanted more. 

Renaissance felt like a celebration with everyone in the audience

The Renaissance World Tour also  celebrated the LGBTQ+ community and ballroom culture in a way I'd never seen during a concert from a major music artist before.

That made the show feel bigger than Beyoncé — rather than focusing on her greatest hits or biggest music, the concert was a celebratory experience.

While I waited for the show to begin, the stage's graphic displays the Progress Pride Flag, signaling to attendees that this show is a safe space for the entire LGBTQ+ community. Ballroom culture was front and center the entire concert, culminating in a final voguing sequence between all of Beyoncé's dancers.

And after the show ended, a picture of Uncle Johnny — Beyoncé's late gay uncle to whom she's dedicated "Renaissance" — appeared, seemingly ending the concert by showing the person that inspired Beyoncé's love and appreciation for the LGBTQ+ community. It was a touching moment that brought everything full circle.

I'm glad I saw both Swift and Beyoncé while they embark on their juggernaut tours this year.

But the Renaissance World Tour felt like a defining moment thanks to its curated set list and Beyoncé's hypnotizing stage presence.

Taylor Swift is pop concert royalty, no doubt, but there's still only one Queen.

The new Chrome Tour lineup features a core formulation that helps get more ball speed and distance from each shot. When I used these golf balls, I could tell that they were shooting off the face of the club with each shot.

Driver ball speed was consistently higher than my Callaway Chrome balls from last year.

Seamless Tour Aero

Although you may not notice this every time, the ball’s flight was consistent on each shot. To test this, I used a robot tester to achieve a consistent swing speed and pattern each time.

Nelly Korda’s record-tying win streak resonates with Scottie Scheffler, TOUR pros

Despite four wins in five starts, Scottie Scheffler says his run doesn’t compare

After winning the RBC Heritage in a Monday finish, Scottie Scheffler was asked if he felt a sense of competition between himself and Nelly Korda. It was a fair question, as the top-ranked men’s and women’s players have gone on simultaneous tears this spring. Scheffler has won four of his last five TOUR starts, finishing second in the other, while Korda tied an LPGA record Sunday by winning her fifth straight start at The Chevron Championship.

Yet despite being amidst a historic run as the first player since Tiger Woods (2007-08) to record five straight top-two finishes on TOUR, Scheffler didn’t see his stretch as comparable.

“One of the people here asked me, like, ‘Is this turning into a competition between you and Nelly?’ and I was like, I don't know, man, I think if it's a competition, she's got me pretty beat right now,” Scheffler said Monday. “Five wins in a row … it's pretty special stuff. To win four times in a row and then show up at a major championship and win is extremely impressive. So I'm extremely happy for her.”

Scheffler joked that Korda’s season-opening T16 finish was “just terrible; I can’t believe she did that” – clearly in jest – as the top-ranked women’s pro has since taken flight with victories at the LPGA Drive On Championship, Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship, Ford Championship, T-Mobile Match Play and The Chevron Championship, the latter four of which have occurred in the last five calendar weeks.

With Sunday’s victory at the LPGA’s first major championship of 2024, Korda tied Annika Sorenstam and Nancy Lopez with wins in five straight LPGA starts. Only three players have authored such streaks on TOUR: Tiger Woods, Byron Nelson and Ben Hogan.

Woods won five straight starts across 2007-08, six straight across 1999-2000, and seven straight across 2006-07. Hogan won six straight starts in 1948. Nelson won a record 11 consecutive starts in 1945.

Korda’s run – which Scheffler would’ve paralleled if not for a one-stroke defeat to Stephan Jaeger at last month’s Texas Children’s Houston Open – holds a well-earned spot in golf history. Scheffler and his fellow TOUR pros have taken notice. Wyndham Clark called Korda’s run “amazing” after the RBC Heritage’s final round, and J.T. Poston described it as “hard to fathom.”

Last fall, Korda teamed with Tony Finau at the mixed-team Grant Thornton Invitational, finishing T4. Finau came away impressed, in a way foreshadowing what was to come.

"In a sense, to me, I look up to Nelly," Finau said at the time. "Even though she’s younger than me, she’s an incredible golfer. She’s been the No. 1 player in the world in the women’s game, and she’s someone that I think quite frankly a lot of us can still even learn from, even on the men’s side."

After winning the Corales Puntacana Championship on Sunday for his eighth TOUR title, Billy Horschel threaded the runs of Korda and Scheffler.

“I had a three-week stretch where I finished second, first, first and I thought I was something special at that time, but what Nelly and Scottie are doing is unreal,” said Horschel.

“I can't imagine that. And over a period of time, not just five weeks in a row, they've done over six, seven, eight weeks. I mean, it's unreal golf. And to think about who they're playing against in today's generation of more talented players and doing what they're still doing, man, I'd say we're not going to see anything like that again, but I'm sure we will. You just have to stand up and applaud them because it's pretty special. You know, as a golf fan, I'm just lucky to be able to see that because at the end of the day, I'm a golf fan at heart.”

And fans have lately witnessed two generational superstars playing some of the best golf possible.

“I think we’ve all seen the golf swing; I wish I could see it more in person,” Scheffler said of Korda. “Obviously some great golf, some historic stuff, and hopefully she keeps it up.”

Fresh off a gleefully goofy appearance in the Jake Gyllenhaal “Road House” movie, Conor McGregor is returning to the ring.

On Saturday, June 29, the Irish featherweight champion will face off against Michael Chandler at UFC 303 .

He does allude to some kind of physical confrontation between the people Bam's been staying with and the promoters ... but he says he wasn't in the mix for that -- so he doesn't think he did anything wrong. He also acknowledges he and his girlfriend have been fighting.

Last but not least ... Bam shoots down any notion he's been under the influence lately, pointing to the fact he's drinking tea in the video. Remember, this comes not too long after he got into a fistfight on the street here in L.A. ... so, thing have been a bit tumultuous.

Despite all that ... Bam is insisting everything's A-OK -- although, hard to say if folks buy it.

Here's hoping all is, in fact, well -- because there are many who are pretty worried about him.
