Nearly 20 years after the release of his breakout album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ , American hip-hop star, actor and entrepreneur 50 Cent aka Curtis Jackson III will perform in Mumbai on November 25th as part of his ongoing The Final Lap Tour.

Performing at the D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, this show marks the “In Da Club” rapper’s return to India after more than 15 years. He made his debut India performance in Mumbai in November 2007. 50 Cent said on Instagram as he announced the news, “Namaste India, it’s your boy 50. I got fresh news for you. I’m coming to Mumbai, India in November. It’s going down, the Final Lap Tour.”

A worldwide tour that’s spanning multiple continents, registrations for ticket access has now started up. The event – put together by promoters Tracktical Concerts and VJP, adds that “it will also feature supporting performances by globally renowned Indian and international hip-hop and urban acts.”

50 Cent broke into mainstream consciousness with songs like “In Da Club,” “21 Questions,” “P.I.M.P.,” “Disco Inferno,” “Candy Shop” and repped his New York roots throughout in his rap. Mentored by the likes of Eminem, 50 Cent became a formative influence for several of today’s Indian hip-hop stars, so we’ll likely see a full house.

A merican hip-hop sensation, 50 Cent, is set to take the stage in Mumbai once again. The renowned artist has announced his upcoming show in the city on November 25 as part of his highly anticipated The Final Lap Tour.

Taking place at the iconic D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, this concert holds special significance as it marks his long-awaited return to India after a hiatus of over 15 years.

The rapper announced the news on his Instagram saying:

"Namaste India, it's your boy 50. I got fresh news for you. I'm coming to Mumbai, India in November. It's going down, the Final Lap Tour."

Tickets and the price for the Mumbai concert are not yet been announced. However, the pre-registration for the tickets is ongoing via Insider.com

The tickets are expected to sell out quickly, with fans eagerly anticipating the opportunity to witness the rapper's concert.

Global music icons Curtis ‘ 50 Cent ‘ Jackson and Ed Sheeran have unveiled concert dates for India. 50 Cent will perform at Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium on Nov. 25 as part of his “The Final Lap Tour” to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his blockbuster album “Get Rich or Die Tryin.” The opening line-up will consist of popular Indian acts including Divine, Prabh Deep, SVDP and Yung Raja. The event is produced by Tracktical Concerts in India. The tour will continue till the end of the year, with post-Mumbai play dates at Almaty, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Auckland and Abu Dhabi.

50 Cent has marked a return to India post a gap of 15 years for the Asian leg of his Final Lap 2023 Tour. The concert took place at the DY Patil Sports Stadium.

Rapper 50 Cent only recently wrapped up the American and European legs of his tour - titled the Final Lap Tour. The artist landed in Mumbai a few hours earlier heading directly to the DY Patil Sports Stadium in Nerul Navi Mumbai. The rapper belted out his chartbusting hits making for a high-octane evening for all those attending in Maharashtra's capital.

Rapper 50 Cent performs in Mumbai

50 Cent's presence in the country comes after a lengthy period of 15 years. The rapper was last in the country back in 2007. His concert, scheduled for November 25 is going to be followed by taking the tour to Kazakhstan, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates, all within 2023.

The 90-minute set has seen 50 Cent run through some of his biggest hits. This included performances across Ayo Technology, Hate It Or Love It, Disco Inferno, In Da Club, Candy Shop and P.I.M.P . Others in the lineup included  Prabh Deep, SVDP fka Shan Vincent de Paul, Yanchan and Yung Raja.

Is this 50 Cent's last tour?

50 Cent's tour is interestingly named the Final Lap tour. This has led many to believe that the rapper has decided against going on tour post this leg. However, the speculations were quelled by the artist himself, who in a video announcement, shared the logic behind the title. He said, "I won’t be running around like this no more. I gotta do film and TV stuff – I got a lot of other things going on behind the scenes that I got to work on, so I won’t be out touring as much as I’ve been."

50 Cent in India: All the South Asian artists bringing the heat at the rapper's Final Lap Tour in Mumbai

Grammy and Emmy Award-winning hip hop sensation 50 Cent brought the house down in Mumbai last weekend. The artist, who returned to the country after 16 long years, thrilled the crowds at the city’s DIY Patil Stadium with his celebrated tracks Ayo Technology , I Get Money , What Up Gangsta and more.

50 Cent’s Mumbai show marked the India leg of his Final Lap Tour, which celebrates the 20th anniversary of the rapper’s iconic Get Rich or Die Tryin . The album famously chronicles the ascension to stardom of a rapper from Queens, something he calls a ‘culture shift’ in hip-hop , in his 2003 album. Fans flocking to the stadium were also in for a nostalgic surprise, with American rapper Jeremih ( Down on Me, Birthday Sex, Don’t Tell ‘Em ) featuring as the opening act.

There was also a collective of South Asian artists who brought the heat to the 50 Cent concert in Mumbai. Singaporean hip-hop sensation Yung Raja, Jaffna-born, Toronto-based rapper Shan Vincent de Paul (SVDP) and Tamil Canadian singer-songwriter Yanchan Rajmohan delivered power-packed performances at the event. Mumbai’s gully rap kingpin Divine was also part of the lineup but had to cancel last minute because of technical difficulties.

Born Rajid Ahamed, Singapore-based breakout rapper Yung Raja has famously been declared Southeast Asia's next avant-garde hip-hop artist. The fiery artist has collaborated with Snoop Dogg, performed on the same stage as Travis Scott, and released a chart-busting debut single Mustafa (2018). Decked in a canary yellow pant-suit, the young artist brought his breakneck speed Tamil-English fusion rap to centre-stage at the 50 Cent concert. Jaffna-born, Toronto-based rapper Shan Vincent de Paul , better known as SVDP, is known for his witty lyricism, distinct visual language, and personal style. SVDP’s music finds its roots in the Carnatic classics, creating a unique fusion of genres that place him at the forefront of the South Asian rap space.

Yanchan Rajmohan’s Instagram bio reads “Making Beats With A South Asian Twist”. The Tamil-Canadian singer, songwriter, producer, and mixing engineer has been collaborating with SVDP since 2017, with the duo releasing a series of viral tracks known for its terrific Carnatic beats. Yanchan and SVDP came together again to perform at the 50 Cent concert in Mumbai and were matched in energy by Yung Raja’s dexterous rap.

The artists were cheered on by actor-musician Shruti Haasan, who later took to social media to share her experience of the concert from backstage. Haasan recently released an edgy, industrial-rock number called Monster Machine , which she performed live at the 2023 GQ Men of the Year Awards .

50 Cent to perform in Mumbai on ‘The Final Lap Tour 2023’

Concert Marks 20th Anniversary of 50 Cent's 'Get Rich or Die Tryin'

Mumbai: Grammy and Emmy Award-winning hip-hop artist Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson is all set to come to Mumbai as a part of ‘The Final LapTour 2023’.

The concert also celebrates the 20th anniversary of 50 Cent’s groundbreaking album ‘Get Rich or Die Tryin’.

To be held at D.Y. Patil Stadium on November 25, the much-awaited concert will see a star-studded opening line-up of celebrated desi acts such as DIVINE, Prabh Deep, SVDP and Yung Raja.

The artist is celebrated for his ability to capture the hustle and hum of Mumbai’s street life through raw, authentic and fiery bars. With hits like ‘3:59 AM’, the chart-topping ‘Mere Gully Mein’ andmost recently ‘Baazigar’, DIVINE has enthralled not just his devoted fan base but the whole world.

Joining him is Prabh Deep, who has carved a space for himself as an avant garde creative visionary in India’s cultural landscape.

Then there is SVDP, a.k.a. Shan Vincent DePaul from Toronto, an acclaimed and dynamic musician making waves with his unique sound and accolades and wins at the Independent Music Awards and Toronto Independent MusicAwards in the Best Rap/Hip-Hop category.
