How to earn Marriott Ambassador Service

Benefits of marriott ambassador service, the return of personalized marriott ambassador service, what are the other benefits of ambassador elite status, if you're considering earning marriott ambassador elite status.

Marriott Ambassador Elite status has the most demanding earning requirements of any major U.S. hotel loyalty program. But, if you can earn 100 elite nights and spend $23,000 at Marriott properties in a calendar year, you'll get access to one of Marriott's most-exclusive perks: Marriott Ambassador Service.

Here's an overview of Marriott Ambassador Service — and why it might be worth being loyal to Marriott to earn it.

Marriott Ambassador Service is one of two key perks of holding Ambassador Elite status. To earn Ambassador Elite status, a Bonvoy member needs to meet two requirements during the same calendar year:

Stay at least 100 qualifying nights.

Spend at least $23,000 in qualifying spending.

Note that the spending requirement increased to $23,000 in 2023 from $20,000 in 2022 and $14,000 in 2021. That's a significant increase in just a couple of years.

This increase seems to be intended as a way to keep Ambassador Elite status more exclusive.

» Learn more: Why I love Marriott Bonvoy

Marriott Ambassador Service is a personalized customer service offering for those who have reached Marriott Ambassador Elite status — the highest published level in the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program . Although earning Marriott Ambassador Elite status isn't easy, it can be worth it to make your stay more personalized. Here's how Marriott Ambassador Service can make a difference.

Customer service needs

Skip the hold music and automated answering machine. Ambassador Service is meant to make travel easier for the most-valued Bonvoy members. You get the exclusive Marriott Ambassador customer service phone number, connecting you with a Marriott Ambassador to take care of your needs.

For instance, if you're trying to use your Suite Night Awards to upgrade your stay, the ambassador can call the hotel on your behalf and try to secure the room. Also, as a perk exclusive to Ambassador Elites, Ambassador Service is the only way that eligible members can make a Your24 request.

Trip personalizations

If you want to personalize your experience with a special request or a particular amenity, your ambassador can work on your behalf to make it happen. For example, if you're celebrating Valentine’s Day with someone special, your ambassador can work with the concierge to find a local florist. Allergic to a particular food? Your ambassador can contact the hotel to request that the allergen is kept out of your room.

Ambassador Elite members receive a welcome gift when they check in for a qualifying stay. So, having someone who knows your tastes can ensure that you’ll get something you want.

Problem resolutions

The most important role of an ambassador, though, is problem resolution. Many of us are all too familiar with the frustration of having something go wrong, like missing points or a problem with your stay. Finding an agent who can actually resolve your frustrations can be the most difficult step toward getting them fixed.

Ambassador Elite members get access to an agent who should be knowledgeable and empowered enough to get you a resolution. Your ambassador can handle all the internal Marriott issues on your behalf and get back to you when they have an answer.

It’s much less of a hassle than waiting on hold for a half hour, only to get transferred to a different person when you finally get through.

Marriott significantly cut back Ambassador Service during the pandemic. In March 2020, Marriott laid off many ambassadors and eliminated personalized Ambassador Service. Instead of providing each Ambassador Elite with a dedicated ambassador, Marriott's top-tier members received service from a team of ambassadors.

As if that wasn't bad enough, Ambassador Service was further cut with another round of ambassador layoffs in October 2020.

Many Ambassador Elite members have complained that this degraded the value of Marriott's top-tier elite status. And it seems that Marriott may have gotten the message.

Marriott brought back personalized Ambassador Service; each Ambassador Elite member is assigned a personalized ambassador.

This ambassador will be tasked with learning the travel needs and preferences of their Ambassador Elite members and work in conjunction with the rest of the Ambassador Service team to help with any issues or to facilitate any special requests.

» Learn more: How much are travel points and miles worth this year?

Marriott Ambassador Service is just one benefit of holding Ambassador Elite status. Some of the best benefits of this top tier include the following:

Your24: Marriott Ambassador Elite members get to choose their 24-hour check-in and checkout time. That can be particularly helpful should you have a late flight or want to time your trip to maximize amenity usage — like enjoying a shower in your room after spending your check-out day at the pool.

Suite upgrades: Marriott Ambassador Elites are first in line for upgrades, including all the way up to Standard Suites.

Bonus points on stays: You’ll earn 75% more points than general members on every eligible hotel purchase.

Room guarantee: Marriott promises to have a room available to you as long as you book by 3 p.m. up to 48 hours before arrival.

Lounge access: If your hotel has an open lounge and you aren't staying at an excluded brand, you’ll get full access to it.

Guaranteed 4 p.m. checkout: At most brands, Ambassador Elite members automatically get 4 p.m. guaranteed checkout — even without having to make a Your24 request. This perk is subject to availability at resorts, convention hotels and Design Hotels.

» Learn more: Why Marriott late checkout can be game-changing

Spending $23,000 and earning 100 Elite Night Credits in a year at Marriott to reach Ambassador Elite status is no easy feat. However, reaching the highest status in the Marriott Bonvoy program comes with a lot of perks. From Ambassador Service to choosing your own check-in and checkout times, Marriott offers its Ambassador Elite members top-tier benefits.

And Marriott Ambassador Elite is about to get even better with the return of a personalized Ambassador. Soon Ambassador Elites can begin working with a dedicated Ambassador who will make sure that their travel needs are met. That's not too shabby to have someone at the company who knows your preferences and whose job it is to advocate for you.

Middle East latest: Striking Iran's nuclear facilities 'on the table', says ex-Mossad intelligence chief

A former official at the Israeli spy agency says targeting nuclear facilities in Iran is among the options on the table as Israel decides how to respond to Saturday's attack. Meanwhile, Iran's president has warned the "tiniest move" against the country would bring a "fierce" response.

The cabinet has approved a five-year plan that would see $5bn spent on rebuilding and strengthening communities near Israel's border with Gaza.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel would invest the funds in housing, infrastructure, education, employment, health and other areas.

The funding came after the Hamas attacks on 7 October targeted communities near the border.

"Hamas terrorists wanted to uproot us - but we will uproot them and deepen our roots," Mr Netanyahu said in a statement.

"We will build the land of Israel and protect our country."

The prime minister's office said local communities would work with government ministries, and along with the business sector and philanthropy, to bring the region to be a "vital, flourishing and attractive area".

A massive US aid bill for countries including Israel and Ukraine held up for months will be filed in the House of Representatives today, the House speaker's has said.

Mike Johnson said the text of four bills providing assistance to Ukraine, Israel and the Indo-Pacific would be filed "soon today", with a fourth including "other measures to confront Russia, China and Iran" posted later.

The bill, worth some $95bn (£76bn), was approved by the Democrat-led Senate on 13 February, but is likely to face stiff opposition in the Republican-controlled House of Representatives when it eventually makes the floor.

Both houses of Congress must approve the bill before President Joe Biden can sign it into law.

However, former president Donald Trump and his Republican allies in Congress want funding directed toward domestic issues such as border control, rather than on foreign wars.

Critics of Mr Trump have suggested he is deliberately blocking legislation that would ensure funding for both Ukraine and border control because he intends to focus his election campaign on immigration and it is therefore not in his interests to improve the perceived problems.

The United Nations' Security Council will vote on Friday on whether to allow Palestine to fully join the organisation, anonymous sources have told the Reuters news agency.

Israel's ally the US is expected to block the move, as it would effectively recognise a Palestinian state.

The 15-member council is due to vote at 3pm local time 8pm UK time on Friday on a draft resolution that recommends to the 193-member UN General Assembly that "the state of Palestine be admitted to membership of the United Nations," said diplomats.

The council needs nine votes to pass it - and crucially no vetoes from any of the permanent members (US, UK, France, Russia or China).

Foreign ministers from the Group of Seven (G7) major democracies are gathering on the Italian island of Capri for three days of talks.

The meeting is being overshadowed by expectations of an Israeli retaliation against Iran for its missile and drone attacks over the weekend.

Italy, which holds the G7's rotating presidency, has been pushing for a ceasefire in Gaza and a de-escalation in the wider Middle East.

"Against a background of strong international tensions, the Italian-led G7 is tasked with working for peace," foreign minister Antonio Tajani said in a statement.

The G7 pledged support for Israel following the attack.

A single Israeli shell destroyed more than 4,000 embryos when it struck Gaza's largest fertility clinic in December, it has emerged,

The explosion blasted the lids off five liquid nitrogen tanks at Gaza City's Al Basma IVF centre, causing to evaporate the -180C liquid holding the embryos and 1,000 more specimens of sperm and unfertilized eggs.

"We know deeply what these 5,000 lives, or potential lives, meant for the parents, either for the future or for the past," said Bahaeldeen Ghalayini, 73, the Cambridge-trained obstetrician and gynaecologist who established the clinic in 1997.

At least half of the couples can no longer produce sperm or eggs to make viable embryos, he said.

"My heart is divided into a million pieces."

In April, the embryology lab was still strewn with broken masonry, blown-up lab supplies and, amid the rubble, the liquid nitrogen tanks, according to a Reuters-commissioned journalist who visited the site.

The former director of intelligence at the Israeli spy agency, Mossad, says targeting nuclear facilities in Iran is among the options on the table as Israel decides how to respond to Saturday's attack.

Zohar Palti spoke to  The World with Yalda Hakim  in Jerusalem about possible responses after Iran launched more than 300 missiles and drones at Israel.

Asked if everything was on the table, including targeting nuclear facilities, Mr Palti said: "No doubt. Everything is on the table right now."

Pressed on whether this included nuclear facilities, he said: "Including everything."

Iran temporarily closed its nuclear facilities on Sunday over "security considerations" and the International Atomic Energy Agency kept its inspectors away for two days.

The attack on Israel came after a deadly suspected Israeli strike on the Iranian consulate in Syria. The IDF said 99% of the weapons fired at Israel failed to break through its air defences.

Watch the rest of his interview from 9pm in The World With Yalda Hakim live from Jerusalem.

By Alistair Bunkall , Middle East correspondent

There is little doubt in diplomatic and political circles here that Israel will carry out a reprisal attack on Iran.

David Cameron, on a short visit to Jerusalem, said as much in TV interviews.

The questions remain when and where. Israeli leaders are keeping that very close, not even telling visiting foreign ministers from allied countries, but it might be that no final decision has been made.

Cameron is canny enough to know that if he came here pushing a message of "don't do it" then he might be shown up as ineffective in the coming days.

And so the language has changed to "okay, if you have to do it, then make sure it's reasonable and doesn't escalate matters further".

With the US and European capitals saying the same (the German foreign minister was here today too), it might have some sway.

Israel says it needs to send Iran a clear message but doesn't want an escalation - that's all very well but Iran might not see it like that.

Assuming the do-nothing, "take-the-win" option is off the table, the next best outcome is for a series of increasingly smaller events that ultimately see this crisis fizzle out.

I've also picked up frustration among diplomats over political attempts back in the UK to designate the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terror organisation.

It would have no impact on the current crisis and could put the future of the British Embassy in doubt.

That would then remove a vital back-channel of communication, not just for the UK, but for allies like the US and Israel to lean on London for that.

It's moments like these when those channels come into their own and the Foreign Office can be influential.

Ultimately though, Israel's main message to Iran won't be via diplomatic back-channels but a military strike which, in their words, will be "in a manner and time of their choosing".

The Lebanese foreign minister is speaking with special correspondent Alex Crawford following exchanges of fire between Hezbollah and Israel across the Israeli border.

Asked about Israel's determination to retaliate against Iran, Abdallah Bou Habib says Lebanon is worried.

"Any kind of revenge is going to end up with a bigger war, probably," he says.

"And therefore Lebanon, Syria and Jordan may be in trouble."

Mr Habib hopes for a ceasefire between Hezbollah and Israel, he says.

If the UN were to move in that direction, the Lebanese government would "most probably" support it.

"We are left not able to do anything of the sort. It is not a matter of the Hezbollah stronger than the Lebanese army, because they not going to collide or fight each other."

Up until 7 October, there was "nothing on the border", he says, saying he hoped to return to a stable border.

More than 5,000 houses have been destroyed in Lebanon by Israeli attacks, says Mr Habib.

Asked about Hezbollah's backing of the Iranian attack, Mr Habib says: "We do not welcome it and we don't denounce the attack, because Israel started it."

"We do not have influence over Hezbollah as long as there is fighting between them and Israelis, and if we have a choice then we support Hezbollah."

A two-state solution is "the solution for most of the problems in the Middle East", he says.

Foreign Secretary Lord Cameron has said he repeated his view that any response to Iran should be designed to limit and de-escalate the conflict when visiting Israel today.

"Nobody wants to see this conflict grow and spread," said Lord Cameron.

He turned to Hamas, which he blamed for holding up a truce deal in Gaza.

"Everyone should recognise that it is Hamas that is causing this conflict to continue."

Benjamin Netanyahu has thanked the British and German foreign ministers for their input, but said Israel would make its own decisions on security.

"Our allies have all kinds of suggestions and advice, I appreciate it, but I want to make it clear - we will make our own decisions, and the State of Israel will do everything necessary to defend itself," he said.

Lord Cameron has been in Israel today, alongside his German counterpart Annalena Baerbock, urging restraint in response to Iran's drone and missile attack.

Very poor customer service. We could never get ahold of the travel agent (Ben). Anytime I called it would go to voicemail and not recieve a call or email back for days. Sometimes he just wouldn't respond at all unless you kept contacting him. Overall, very poor customer service. We also had delays on the day of travel and he was no help. The other couple we went on vacation with had a similar experience. I would never use them again.

Received a gift certificate for travel through Ambassador. Called Ben up to book a flight home for Christmas. We chose the exact itinerary and the gift certificate I had almost covered it. I offered my credit card to pay the rest and he declined, as someone else wanted to cover my trip home in its entirety. Lovely thought, right? Except what I wasn't told was that the tickets would not actually be booked until that card and the gift certificate were in hand at Ambassador. That night the flights that I thought we had already booked sold out and prices went from $650 round trip to $1200 round trip. No way I can afford that, so my trip home to see my family the only time I get to see them in a given year was cancelled. I managed to work some time off from work in January so I could have a makeshift Christmas. Again, I called Ambassador and spoke with Ben. We once again discussed my exact travel plans, dates, airports, etc. Since I was now traveling in a much cheaper season, the gift certificate entirely covered my travel. Awesome. Except that instead of flying out of Appleton, like I had asked, Ben booked my flight out of Milwaukee and didn't tell me. He again wasn't even going to actually book the flight until the gift certificate was in hand, even though it can be used literally nowhere else and he has a copy of it on file. Not to mention this is what ruined my chances of getting home for the actual holiday. When I called him out on the incorrect airport being booked, he said that he assumed I knew that his recommended airline, Southwest, didn't fly out of Appleton. Why recommend an airline that doesn't service the airport I want to use and cost $100 more than the airlines using the correct location? Ultimately I did get my trip home, but it would have honestly been much easier to do on my own.

Worst experience with a travel agency I've ever had. Missed a 60 min check in time by 2 mins at Alaska Air was then informed by the Alaska Air agent would have to fly the next day same time to call and have it changed. Called Ambassador thinking they would help and was told to stay at airport and wait. They had booked through a third party Funjet and could not get through to them to change flight was then told we could change it directly and to called Alaska Air. Alaska Air said since it was booked through travel agent only they could change. After hours and multiple calls Ambassador said airline was giving us the run around and she could rebook for 400.00. I booked directly with Airline for 190.00 but at that point the flight for next day was sold out and had to fly out of another city. I Was given the total run around wasted hours and hours at the airport missed a day at an all inclusive and then told I needed to pay 400.00 for a flight I'm looking at on my phone for 190.00 this was insane. Caitlin Clark WNBA salary, contract terms: How much will she earn as No. 1 pick?

ambassador travel phone number

It's official: Former Iowa women's basketball star Caitlin Clark is off to the WNBA, as the NCAA's all-time scoring leader was selected No. 1 overall by the Indiana Fever in Monday's WNBA draft .

Clark , the game's brightest star, already was reportedly among the top earners in all of college sports with various NIL deals. She will still make lots of money on her sponsorships as she joins the WNBA. Her sponsorships include State Farm, Gatorade, Nike, Xfinity, H&R Block, and Panini America among others. Clark also already has a regional sponsor in the Indianapolis area. She  signed a deal with Gainbridge , an insurance and annuity company.

Clark's season ended with a national championship loss for the second consecutive season, when the Hawkeyes fell to undefeated South Carolina on April 7. Just eight days later, Clark is a professional. The first four selected players of the WNBA draft earn the same contract, so Clark, Cameron Brink, Kamilla Cardoso and Rickea Jackson — who rounded out the top four picks — will each make the same amount of money next season.

Here's Clark's contract, according to the value of the pick set by the WNBA:

Caitlin Clark contract details

Caitlin Clark will receive a four-year contract worth a total of $338,056, according to the WNBA's CBA .

The first four picks of the WNBA draft are each slotted at the same value, meaning Clark, Brink, Cardoso and Jackson will each receive the same amount of money. Here's the year-by-year breakdown of Clark's contract (it has not been announced if she has signed):

  • 2024: $76,535
  • 2025: $78,066
  • 2026: $85,873
  • 2027 (fourth-year option): $97,582
