The new album from Lo Moon , I Wish You Way More Than Luck , takes its title from a somewhat well-known quote by the writer David Foster Wallace. It was said to outgoing graduates, in a commencement speech. It's fitting, because Lo Moon's Matt Lowell returned to his old campus in Connecticut to get inspired by the place he first performed as a musician, Clark Memorial Chapel. It was the spark that put I Wish You Way More Than Luck into action.

In this mini-concert, the psychedelic pop band out of Los Angeles joins World Cafe for a performance recorded in London at The Lexington in 2023. Enjoy.

Billy Joel is bringing his iconic concert to the small screen with a new television special airing tonight on CBS.

Titled “The 100th: Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden,” the performance airs live on CBS at 9 p.m. ET/PT. You can watch the Billy Joel MSG concert live on TV through your local CBS affiliate.

Joel’s concert special was filmed back in March to celebrate the Piano Man’s record-breaking 100th consecutive performance of his MSG residency . According to the CBS website, the TV concert will include classic Joel hits like “My Life, “Scenes From an Italian Restaurant,” “It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me,” and of course, “New York State of Mind.”

Despite his decades-long career, tonight’s show is Joel’s first concert to air on a broadcast network. As for the singer’s residency, the historic run will come to end when Joel plays his final shows this July .

Taylor Swift Curates Playlists Based on Stages of Heartbreak for Apple Music Ahead of 'Tortured Poets Department' Release

Taylor Swift is telling the end of a "love story" on her terms.

On Friday, April 5, the pop megastar, 34, shared five exclusive playlists with Apple Music that explore the five stages of heartbreak — something fans had theorized her forthcoming album The Tortured Poets Department  would be exploring.

According to a press release, with each playlist, Swift has chosen songs from her own catalog that fit each stage: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.

I Love You, It’s Ruining My Life Songs  represents denial and features songs like “Lavender Haze” and “Style (Taylor’s Version)."

"This is a list of songs about getting so caught up in the idea of something that you have a hard time seeing the red flags, possibly resulting in moments of denial and maybe a little bit of delusion. Results may vary," the 14-time Grammy winner told Apple Music.

On You Don’t Get to Tell Me About Sad Songs , Swift tackles anger with songs like "Bad Blood (Taylor's Version" and "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (Taylor’s Version)."

"These songs all have one thing in common, I wrote them while feeling anger. Over the years, I've learned that anger can manifest itself in a lot of different ways, but the healthiest way that it manifests itself in my life is when I can write a song about it, and then oftentimes, that helps me get past it," she said.

With  Am I Allowed to Cry? Songs , Swift dives into bargaining with tracks like "Soon You'll Get Better" and "This Is Me Trying." She explained that these songs embrace the act of "trying to make deals with yourself or someone that you care about."

"You're trying to make things better, you're oftentimes feeling really desperate, because oftentimes we have a gut intuition that tells us things are not going to go the way that we hope, which makes us more desperate, which makes us bargain more," she told Apple Music.

Swift tackles depression with Old Habits Die Screaming Songs , which features songs like "Champagne Problems" and "Forever Winter (Taylor's Version)."

With this playlist, she dives into "the feelings of depression that often lace their way through my songs."

"I often feel like when I'm either listening to songs or writing songs that deal with this intensity of loss and hopelessness, usually that's in the phase where I'm close to getting past that feeling," she said of the playlist.

The final playlist is I Can Do It with a Broken Heart Songs , which represents acceptance and features songs like “You’re On Your Own, Kid” and “Long Story Short."

Swift said this collection of songs "represent making room for more good in your life, making that choice because a lot of time when we lose things, we gain things too."

The "I Can See You" performer's 11th studio album The Tortured Poets Department — which she announced during the 2024  Grammys  while accepting the award for best pop vocal album for Midnights — is due April 19.

Amazon Music launches Maestro, a new AI playlist generator—here’s your first look at the beta

Today, Amazon Music announces a new feature that uses AI technology to make it easier and way more fun to build playlists you want, when you want. Meet Maestro: An AI playlist generator that helps you create any playlist you can think of—plus all the ones you can’t. This feature is rolling out in beta to a small number of U.S. customers on all tiers of Amazon Music.

To get started, all you need is a prompt idea—you can go for something short (or long), use emojis, emotions, activities, sounds, or choose from one of the suggested prompts. Feel like listening to songs that sound like 🤖? Maestro’s got you. Within seconds, you’ll be able to admire your use of emojis to evoke the perfect songs, and get a unique-to-you playlist that brings a selection of electronic and robot-like tracks to life. All that’s left to do is listen to what you created, save it, share it with friends to listen, and they can create their own to share back.

Here are some Maestro prompts we’re loving right now:

• Make my 👶 a genius
• Myspace era hip-hop
• Music my grandparents made out to
• I tracked my friends and they’re all hanging out without me

As you play around, just remember that the technology behind Maestro is new and won’t always get it right the first time. We’ve also implemented systems to proactively block offensive language and inappropriate prompts. We’ll be applying your feedback, and continuing to make Maestro the best and safest experience for everyone.

Maestro is rolling out in beta to a subset of Free, Prime, and Unlimited Amazon Music customers in the U.S. on iOS and Android mobile apps. Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers can listen to their playlists instantly and save for later, while Prime members and ad-supported customers can listen to 30-second previews of their playlists before saving. We plan to expand access to more customers over time.

• Download the latest version of the Amazon Music mobile app
• Customers who are in the beta will see Maestro either on their home screen, or when they tap the plus sign where they usually create a new playlist
• Talk or type your playlist idea
• Tap "Let's go!" to stream your playlist
• Save and share with friends
