Bangladesh kicked up their 2022 international campaign with a thrilling away-from-home Test match victory over New Zealand. They will play one more match on this trip, which starts on Sunday, January 9 in Christchurch. Bangladesh will complete the remainder of their ICC Test Championship schedule this year, which comprises five series. In addition, the Asia Cup and the T20 World Cup are two of Bangladesh's major competitions this year. Let's take a look at the Bangladesh Men's Cricket Team's schedules for 2022 .
Bangladesh National Cricket Team Fixtures for 2022
Bangladesh's national men's cricket team will enjoy a full international calendar this year, much as it had in 2021. Here are the tentative 2022 cricket fixtures for the national Men’s team.
2-match Test Series against New Zealand (Away)
Bangladesh are presently facing New Zealand in their second series in the ongoing ICC Test Championship. Bangladesh are scheduled to play two Test matches during the tour. Team Tigers have already defeated the Kiwis in the series opener, winning by eight wickets. As a result of the victory, Bangladesh have moved up to fifth place in the Test Championship points standings. The second match will be held at Christchurch's Hagley Oval.

Limited-Over Series against Afghanistan (Home)
Bangladesh have a home series against Afghanistan slated for February. Bangladesh will face Afghanistan in three one-day internationals and two Twenty20 internationals, according to sources. The series will begin shortly after the BPL 2022 competition.
Test and ODI Series against South Africa (Away)
Bangladesh will go to South Africa for a bilateral series in March after finishing the Afghanistan series. Team Tigers will play two ICC Test Championship matches and three One-Day Internationals during the tour. According to the schedule, three one-day internationals will be played on March 18, 20, and 23, followed by the first Test (30 March – 3 April) and the second Test (7-11 April).

Test Series against Sri Lanka (Home)
Bangladesh are expected to host Sri Lanka for a two-match Test series in May, subject to mutual agreement between the two boards. If everything goes according to plan, the series will be part of the current ICC Test Championship.
Test, ODI, and T20I Series against West Indies (Away)
Bangladesh are slated to play a three-format series against the West Indians in the June-July window. During the tour, they will play three ODIs and three T20Is as well as two Test matches, which will be a part of the ICC Test Championship.
Test, ODI, and T20I Series against Zimbabwe (Home)
In August, Bangladesh will host Zimbabwe for a two-match Test series, followed by three one-day internationals and three Twenty20 internationals.

Asia Cup 2022
Due to a tight international schedule and covid-19 complications, the 2021 Asia Cup was canceled. The competition will take place this year, and the 2022 Asia Cup will most likely be staged in Sri Lanka in the month of September. The main tournament will include six teams, including Bangladesh. The upcoming edition will be in T20 format.
Test, ODI, and T20I Series against Ireland (Away)
There is a scheduled away series against Ireland in October. However, the possibility of a tour is still clouded. If all goes according to plan, Ireland will host one Test, three One-Day Internationals, and three Twenty-20 Internationals.
ICC Men’s Cricket T20 World Cup 2022
Sixteen nations, including Bangladesh, will compete in the T20 World Cup in Australia in the October-November window. Bangladesh will directly compete in the Super 12s Round of the eighth edition of the ICC Men's Cricket T20 World Cup. The national men's team will play at least five matches during the big event.

Test and ODI Series against India (Home)
The Bangladesh national team will host India in a bilateral series in December 2022. Team Tigers will play two ICC Test Championship matches and three One-Day Internationals during India’s tour of Bangladesh. This will most likely be Bangladesh's final ICC Test Championship series in the 2021-2023 cycle.
Bottom Line
According to the schedules of the Bangladesh Men's Cricket Team , they are expected to play more than 50 international matches in 2022. Bangladesh may play 13 Tests, 18 One-Day Internationals, and roughly 20 Twenty20 Internationals this year. The majority are likely to be held as planned despite not all of the series have been confirmed yet. In this regard, the Bangladesh national team has a busy international calendar this year and national team players must be fully fit in order to compete in the upcoming fixtures.

Uncapped all-rounder in Zimbabwe's squad for Bangladesh tour
Zimbabwe will tour Bangladesh for a five-game T20I series in May
Sikandar Raza will captain a 15-member group for the T20I series against Bangladesh. All-rounder Johnathan Campbell is the uncapped player in the unit, while Tadiwanashe Marumani and Faraz Akram have earned recalls. Campbell is an adept left-hand batter who bowls leg-spin.
The remaining players are the same as that featured in Zimbabwe's last T20I series away in Sri Lanka in January 2024.
The side includes veterans such as Sikandar Raza, Sean Williams, and Craig Ervine. The pace attack will be led by Blessing Muzarabani and Richard Ngarava, with support from Clive Madande and Brian Bennett -- the impressive young guns in the side.

Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe T20I squads: Full team list and injury updates for BAN vs ZIM 2024
Bangladesh will host Zimbabwe for a T20I series from May 3 Here are the BAN vs ZIM 2024 T20I squads, including the full team lists and injury updates.
The first three matches will be played on May 3, 5 and 7 in Chattogram. Dhaka will host the remaining two matches on May 10 and 12.
Najmul Hossain Shanto will lead Bangladesh. Mohammad Saifuddin has been recalled for the first three T20Is, having last played in the format in October 2022. A back injury ruled him out till January this year before he returned to play BPL, where he picked up 15 wickets in nine matches for Fortune Barishal.
Among newcomers, Tanzid Hasan has received his maiden T20I call-up. He has represented Bangladesh in 15 ODIs so far, and was part of the 2023 ODI World Cup squad. Left-arm spinner Tanvir Islam, all-rounder Afif Hossain and opener Parvez Hossain are also a part of the squad.
Mustafizur Rahman and Shakib Al Hasan will miss the initial three matches. Shakib will return to Dhaka on April 30, following which he will likely play a Dhaka Premier League (DPL) match and join the squad for the remaining two matches. Meanwhile, Mustafizur Rahman will arrive on May 2 after his ongoing IPL stint with Chennai Super Kings before undergoing a fitness test.
Anamul Haque, Mohammad Naim and Taijul Islam have been dropped from the squad that played three T20Is against Sri Lanka recently, while Soumya Sarkar is nursing a knee injury he suffered during the third ODI of that series.
For Zimbabwe, Sikandar Raza will captain a 15-member group. The squad also features veterans like Sean Williams, Craig Ervine, Blessing Muzarabani, and Richard Ngarava. Jonathan Campbell, son of former Zimbabwe captain Alistair Campbell, has earned his maiden international. Tadiwanashe Marumani and Faraz Akram have made a comeback into the T20I fold.

Jason Gillespie confirmed for new coaching role with Pakistan after quitting from South Australia and Adelaide Strikers
Australian cricket legend Jason Gillespie is back in a coaching role after the Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed him as its new red-ball head coach.
The PCB has appointed Gary Kirsten and Gillespie to two-year terms with the former to coach the white-ball side.
Azhar Mahmood, who was the ad-hoc head coach for the five-match T20 series against New Zealand, was named assistant coach in all three formats – Tests, ODIs and T20s.

Kirsten will take charge of the Pakistan team immediately after completing his assignment in the Indian Premier League where he is serving as batting coach and mentor to 2022 champion Gujarat Titans.
Pakistan is scheduled to play seven Twenty20s next month — three against Ireland and four against England — ahead of the T20 World Cup in the US and the Caribbean in June. Kirsten is hoping to join the Pakistan team in England.
Pakistan had been looking for a long-term coach after last year’s 50-over World Cup in India where the team was coached by Mickey Arthur.
Mohammad Hafeez briefly took charge of the team for the tours of Australia and New Zealand before Mahmood coached the team during the drawn T20 series against the Black Caps. Pakistan lost that Australian series 3-0.
“My goal is to unite the Pakistan men’s white-ball team, harnessing their considerable talents towards a common objective, and achieving success together on the field,” Kirsten said in a statement issued by the PCB.
Kirsten, 56, played 101 test matches and 185 ODIs for South Africa scoring 14,087 runs with 34 centuries. He played in three World Cups between 1996-2003 before coaching the World Cup winning India team in 2011.
Kirsten has also coached the South Africa team from 2011-13 and led them to the No. 1 position in the ICC's test rankings.
He has also led several IPL franchises including Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Delhi Daredevils, now known as Delhi Capitals.
Gillespie will take charge of Pakistan’s red-ball team in August when the team will play home matches for the World Test Championship against Bangladesh. The series will be followed by test matches against England in October before the team tours South Africa for WTC matches in December.
“I love Test cricket and being able to focus on that is something I like very much,” Gillespie said.
“I like to think that I can help in some way to grow and develop the players. I want to win Tests – that is why I am taking this role. I love winning and I know we have got the skill to make that happen.”
Gillespie, 49, played 71 Test matches and 97 ODIs for Australia between 1996-2006 and took 402 wickets. He was part of Australia’s 2003 World Cup winning squad in South Africa.
Gillespie coached Yorkshire to back-to-back County Championship titles in 2014 and 2015 and has also coached Zimbabwe from 2010-2012.
The former fast bowler ended his roles with South Australia and the Adelaide Strikers in March .
