Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle are bringing their joint comedy tour to California for a limited run this winter.
The global film and TV stars, who cut their teeth as touring comics, will co-headline seven more shows , capitalizing on the success of their recent sold-out European arena tour. The new leg begins Dec. 1 in San Diego at the Viejas Arena at the Aztec Bowl. After a stop in Phoenix at the Footprint Center on Dec. 5, Rock and Chappelle will work their way up the California coast.
The Emmy winners will appear at the Honda Center in Anaheim on Dec. 7, SAP Center in San Jose on Dec. 10, Chase Center in San Francisco on Dec. 11 and Golden 1 Center in Sacramento on Dec. 12.
They’ll wrap the limited tour on Dec. 14 at the Acrisure Arena at Greater Palm Springs in Thousand Palms, Calif., according to Live Nation .
“Arguably the two greatest stand-up comedians of their generation, Rock and Chappelle are not just comics, they’re good friends who express ranging views while celebrating their mutual respect for each other,” the promoter said in a Thursday statement.

General on sale for tickets begins Friday on Ticketmaster.com . As usual, no cellphones, cameras or recording devices are allowed at the shows, and attendees will have to secure their devices, including smartwatches, in Yondr pouches that are unlocked at the end of the show, Live Nation said.
In September, the comedy legends performed a joint show at London’s O2 arena , where they both addressed high-profile altercations they experienced onstage earlier this year, as well as the firestorm Chappelle ignited with transphobic jokes he made in his polarizing Netflix special “The Closer.”
Rock, lest anyone forget, was infamously slapped by Oscar winner Will Smith onstage while presenting at the Academy Awards last March. Weeks later, when he joined Chappelle for the Netflix Is a Joke comedy festival at the Hollywood Bowl, Chappelle was attacked by a man who was promptly subdued and taken into custody. (The man was later charged with four misdemeanors .)
A joke, a slap, then chaos: How Will Smith’s attack on Chris Rock upended the Oscars
The day after a night of historic wins, everyone’s talking about Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at Sunday’s Oscars. Here’s how the drama unfolded.
March 28, 2022
The incidents have turned into material for both the “Amsterdam” star and “Chappelle’s Show” headliner, with each of them quipping about their respective altercations in later appearances, although Rock has kept pretty tight-lipped about the slap seen ‘round the world.
However, during a Phoenix show in August, Rock told the audience that he turned down hosting the Oscars next year because returning to Hollywood’s biggest night would be like returning to a crime scene, he joked. (Rock hosted the awards ceremony in 2005 and 2016.) The “Grown Ups” star also said he turned down a post-slap Super Bowl commercial offer.

Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle, two of the most successful stand-up comedy performers of all time, have announced plans to join forces for a co-headlining U.S. arena tour in December. The tour dates are focused on the west coast, taking place almost entirely at venues in the state of California.

While both performers are regularly working other shows, the co-headlining trek will kick off at San Diego’s Viejas Arena on December 1st and wrapping up two weeks later at Acrisure Arena in Thousand Palms. Other stops include Honda Center (Anaheim), SAP Center (San Jose), Chase Center (San Francisco), and Golden 1 Center (Sacramento), as well as Phoenix’s Footprint Center – the lone non-California performance currently scheduled.
Tickets for the run are on sale now, available to the general public beginning on Friday, October 21. There is a presale for all shows launching at 1PM ET/10AM PT on Thursday, October 20.
Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock teamed up for a successful arena tour in Europe, bringing together two of the most lauded comedy performers of all time. Both have been performing professionally for more than 30 years, with Rock a veteran of Saturday Night Live and films including Grown Ups, Dogma and TV series including his HBO run on the Chris Rock Show and the more recent drama Fargo. Chappelle was performing on the stage while still a high school student in Washington D.C. and gained popularity through the film Half Baked and the massively successful Chappelle Show. He was recently honored in 2019 with the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.
Fans hoping to attend the tour should note that no cell phones will be allowed within the venues, forced to be locked into Yondr pouches for the duration of the show.

Chris Rock And Dave Chappelle to Co-Headline Stand-Up Tour
Chris rock and dave chappelle will embark on a seven-date stand-up tour in california and arizona from december 1 to december 14..
Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle are headed west. The two comedians will embark on a seven-date comedy engagement in December, visiting select cities in California and Arizona including San Diego, Anaheim, San Jose, San Francisco, Sacramento, Thousand Palms ,and Phoenix.
Currently Rock is concluding his lengthy "Ego Death World Tour," which has remaining shows in Virginia, D.C., and Texas. During the final days of 2022, Chappelle will headline shows at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida and the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio, the latter where he'll be hosting a New Year's Eve show.
Both longtime friends, Rock and Chappelle have occasionally appeared onstage together this year, namely at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles after the comedians got attacked in similar incidents . At the Hollywood Bowl show in May where Chappelle got tackled on-stage, Rock took the stage and asked the audience, “Was that Will Smith ?” Days later at The Comedy Store, Chappelle and Rock joked about their respective incidents, with Chappelle proclaiming, “At least you got smacked by someone of repute!” Rock rebutted, “I got smacked by the softest n**** that ever rapped.”
Smith has since apologized to Rock publicly in a 5-minute video , where the Oscar-winning actor acknowledged that slapping Rock "was unacceptable," and extended an offer for a future conversation.
Presale tickets for Rock and Chappelle's tour will be available on Live Nation on October 20 at 10 AM local time, and general public tickets go on sale October 21.

Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle will have a joint comedy special after onstage attacks
Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle, who were both attacked onstage during separate events in recent months, are teaming up for a joint comedy special in London later this year.
The stand-up show is set for Saturday, Sept. 3, at the 02 Arena in London. Presale tickets go live on June 9 at 10:00 a.m. GMT/2:00 a.m. PT, which fans can access by registering on Live Nation’s website. The general onsale begins June 10 at 10:00 a.m. GMT/2:00 a.m. PT.
Live Nation called the event a “night of world-class comedy” when announcing the show on Twitter.
Rock and Chappelle were both the victims of two highly publicized onstage attacks earlier this year, with Rock getting slapped by Will Smith at the Oscars and Chappelle getting tackled at the Hollywood Bowl . The two comedians previously joined forces for a secret stand-up set at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles in early May, just days after Chappelle’s attack. Chappelle was an unnamed performer on the night’s lineup, and he brought out Rock during his set to joke about their incidents.
In the aftermath of the comedians’ attacks, Smith was banned from the Oscars for 10 years . After snubbing Rock during his Oscars acceptance speech, Smith later apologized to him via a written statement.
“I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness,” Smith wrote on Instagram.
In Chappelle’s case, Isaiah Lee, the man accused of tackling him during his comedy set at the Netflix Is a Joke festival, has pleaded not guilty to four charges of battery, possessing a deadly weapon with intent to assault, unlawfully crossing from a spectator area on to a stage at a theatrical event, and interfering with or delaying such an event with unlawful conduct.

[Updated] David Chappelle and Chris Rock tour Presale code & timings on Livenation, Ticketmaster & others: Here's what we know
New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on January 04, 2023) follows:
David Chappelle and Chris Rock, the popular American comedians, will carry out a stand-up comedy tour in the next few weeks throughout the US territory.
Since the official announcement, many fans have been looking to obtain tickets before anyone else by participating in the Presale.
If you are one of the fans interested in getting a David Chappelle and Chris Rock tour ticket through the Presale, here’s what we know.
David Chappelle and Chris Rock tour Presale code & timings on Livenation & Ticketmaster
Again, Ticketmaster is the main company to deal with to purchase tickets to the event. This may cause concern among fans due to the multiple problems that have occurred lately with other artists ( 1 , 2 , 3 ).
That said, you can access the Livenation event page through this link . As on previous occasions, there are codes to participate in the Presale.
If you access from the link, you can use the code ‘CHEER’. On the other hand, if you access from the Live Nation mobile app you must use the code ‘COVERT’.
Some unconfirmed reports suggest that the code to use in the Live Nation mobile app is ‘SOUND’. Take this last one with a grain of salt, but you can still try it.
To access the Presale through Ticketmaster you can use this link . In this case, the presale code to use is ‘TM7644’.
As often happens, some services or platforms also offer exclusive Presale codes for preferential access to events. In this case, the codes are the following:
– American express presale code: 87656787 – David Chappelle fan club presale code: 58564333 – Chase Bank presale code: C229876 – Citi Bank card presale code: LJFHSD36 Source
Regarding the dates of the Presale, the general will begin at 10 am CST on Wednesday January 4, 2023 (Ticketmaster). It will end at 10 pm CST on Thursday, January 5.
The Platinum presale will start at 10 am on Wednesday, and the venue/media presale will also start at the same time. Meanwhile, general sale starts at 10 am CST on Friday (January 6, 2023).
To top it off, Ticket Crusader is another of the platforms through which you can participate in the Presale. In this case, you can do it through this link , and the Presale codes/passwords to use are the following:
-Citi Password: 412800 -Chase Password: 8009359935 -American Express Password: 8002973333
Feel free to leave your comment, questions, or tips in the box below.
Update 1 (January 05, 2023)
10:40 am (IST): Although the general sale for David Chappelle and Chris Rock tour tickets was scheduled for Wednesday on Ticketmaster, a fan who tried to book the ticket is now getting a message that says they will be available on Friday.
@Ticketmaster @TMFanSupport Once again, TicketMaster fails me. I log in early for Chris Rock tickets for Memphis, on sale “early” I’m brought to a loading screen at 10am CT saying hold tight, it loads, I’m brought to page saying general sales are Friday. WTF??? No chance!! ( Source )
Update 2 (January 06, 2023)
01:01 pm (IST): Some fans claim that when they only had one pre-sale code, they were requested to present two of them. Furthermore, they were only given access to platinum or expensive seats.
Your process for the presale was dogshit. Had to have a code into Ticketmaster. Got in. Then waited in the queue. Finally got through and it wants another presale code that was never sent. Only had access to platinum seats for $386 and up before fees. Source

Chappelle remains a popular but controversial figure in the world of standup comedy. His recent hosting gig at “Saturday Night Live” polarized viewers , many of whom praised his commentary while other criticized his comments on Kanye West, Kyrie Irving and anti-Semitism. Chappelle gained global fame during the early 2000s with his Comedy Central series “Chappelle’s Show.” In recent years, he has become a lightning rod after making jokes at trans people’s expense, including during his Netflix stand-up comedy specials “Sticks and Stones,” from 2019, and “The Closer,” in 2021.
While Netflix stood by Chappelle, Netflix employees, trans advocates, some fellow comedians and others called for a boycott against the comedian. During a March 2022 performance at the Hollywood Bowl , Chappelle was attacked onstage by a knife-wielding audience member who said later he’d been triggered by Chappelle’s past comments. The Minneapolis venue First Avenue, featured in Prince’s musical drama film “Purple Rain,” canceled a Chappelle live performance.
A legendary standup comic and entertainment icon, Rock found himself at the center of the pop culture world in March 2022 when actor Will Smith slapped him on the Dolby Theatre stage during the 94th Annual Academy Awards after Rock cracked a joke about Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett-Smith’s appearance. S mith publicly apologized to Rock and fans for the incident.
RELATED: Chris Rock was a beast in restraint; not sure I would have been the same
Rock is widely regarded as one of the greatest standup comics of all time after decades of success and experience, including popular specials like “Bring the Pain,” “Bigger & Blacker,” “Never Scared,” “Kill the Messenger” and 2018′s “Chris Rock: Tambourine.” Rock has earned several awards including three Grammys for best comedy album and four Emmys.

Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld honor Kevin Hart at Mark Twain gala
March 25 (UPI) -- Comedian and actor Kevin Hart accepted the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor at a gala at the Kennedy Center in Washington on Sunday.
Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld, Jimmy Fallon, Regina Hall, Tiffany Haddish, Chelsea Handler and other celebrities turned out to pay tribute to Hart, the 25th comedian to accept the prestigious award.
A highlights special from the event is set to stream on Netflix May 11.
"My mom is a firm believer that what you put into something you get out of it," Hart, 44, said about his mother, Nancy, who died in 2007.
"So, because of my effort, knowing my effort, she'd go, 'It's supposed to happen.'"
Speaking about comedy itself, Hart said he "fell in love with something that I could adapt to, I could grab on to, and I can keep."
"I got good at it. And getting good at it, I figured out more ways to amplify and get bigger and better," he added.
"For over three decades, Kevin Hart has been a source of laughter across America and throughout the world with his iconic characters, inimitable physical comedy, and relatable narratives. An accomplished writer, producer, actor, and comedian, he has made lasting contributions to the comedic landscape and represents our celebration of American humor at the Kennedy Center," Kennedy Center President Deborah F. Rutter said in a statement when Hart was announced as this year's honoree.
"We express our gratitude to Kevin for enriching American culture and look forward to celebrating his exceptional career."
