Gloria Trevi Announces Dates for New U.S. Tour

Today (March 21), Mexican singer-songwriter Gloria Trevi announced her “Isla Divina World Tour 2022” U.S. tour dates. Following six recent sold-out Auditorio Nacional shows in Mexico City, she’s making her return to stages throughout the States since the pandemic hit. Moreover, Trevi also revealed that she is preparing to release her new highly-anticipated album in April.

“Isla Divina translates into leaving behind the negative things we’ve experienced in the past, and taking you to a magical place where everything has color and shines,” Trevi says about the tour’s concept in a press release. “It’s a journey of freedom that includes love and adventure, a place where you can live truthfully and honestly.”

With this 40-date confirmed tour, Trevi is rewriting her legacy as one of Latine music’s most emblematic performers. The anticipated two-hour performance will feature Trevi singing over 25 of her most celebrated songs, with a full-on production that includes multiple wardrobe changes and full live band and dance crew.

The tour will begin at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico on Aug. 13. It will then continue onto different cities including El Paso, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, all before finalizing her tour with two dates in Miami on Dec. 3 and Dec. 4.

Ahead of the new tour and album’s concept, Trevi released her most recent single, “ La Recaida ,” a flamenco-inspired pop track that’s the first taste of her highly-anticipated upcoming project. Before this single, she collaborated with Mon Laferte on the empowering single “ La Mujer ,” with Guaynaa on the pop song “ Nos Volvimos Locos ,” and even with Karol G on “ Hijoepu*# .” Each of these singles served as testament to not only Trevi’s evolving pop music taste but also her ability to expand her talent in different music genres.

After releasing a handful of singles over the past three years, Gloria Trevi released her new album, Isla Divina on Thursday (April 28). The 12-track set follows her Diosa de La Noche  LP, which peaked at No. 11 on Billboard ‘s Top Latin Albums chart (dated June 22, 2019).

On Isla Divina — which also gives name to her upcoming world tour set to kick off Aug. 13 in Puerto Rico’s El Coliseo — Trevi stays true to her distinctive pop ballads that thrive on nostalgia. In “Demasiado Fragiles” and “Se Equivocó,” she sings about the fragility of relationships, a resounding theme in her decade-long career.

But fans will be pleasantly surprised to also hear a more experimental side of Trevi, who does’t shy away from dabbling in rhythmic-urban beats, flamenco undertones and EDM, adding a twist to her core pop sound.

“El Se Equivocó”

Trevi is not afraid to sing about real-life topics that many of her fans can relate to, and “El Se Equivocó” can attest to that. In the rhythmic pop track with Spanish guitar melodies, Trevi sings about a man who was in two relationships but ultimately, after the rumors unfolded, left with one of the women. However, he made the wrong decision. “He made a mistake/he went with the other one, leaving us alone/he went with the bad one, the one who didn’t love him, the one who cheated on him,” she chants in disappointment.

“La Recaida”

This flamenco-inspired pop track is, in true Gloria fashion, about heartbreak and dwelling on a forbidden love. The type of love that is addicting although you know is not good for you but always makes you want to try “one last time.” In addition to its bittersweet lyrics, the captivating Spanish guitars on the track will take you on a roller coaster of emotions.

“Grande” with Monica Naranjo

Marking the first collaboration between two greats, Gloria Trevi and the Spaniard Monica Naranjo, the disco-pop track is a quintessential Trevi song that will elevate you and make anyone feel like you can take on the world. It’s an essential song on the set because it stays true to the Mexican artist’s message: rise from the ashes.

“Matematicas”

In an album where she’s fun and experimental, this is probably the only track that closely resembles Trevi’s rocker essence: fusing rock melodies and hard-thumping drums with somewhat of a marching band in the mix. In “Matematicas,” Trevi cleverly uses math terms to talk about a love that not everyone is a fan of but she’s happy with. “They called me the failure/I didn’t like subtracting and dividing/I liked looking at the stars without counting/The universe opened, and I understood the mathematics of our f***ing love,” she sings. “You and I are a problem for those who don’t understand,” says another part of the song.

“Demasiado Fragiles”

There’s nothing like a good Gloria Trevi pop ballad that allows her powerful vocals to shine. Singing with such pathos, which she is known for, Trevi is convincing and moving in her delivery of this heartbreak track. In this stripped down track, she sings about the fragility of life and relationships. A reminder to protect ourselves and others.

Isla Divina World Tour incluye coreografías especiales y diseñadas según la canción que se interpreta. Es decir, cada movimiento corporal tiene un significado especial. Además, Trevi efectuará 14 cambios de vestuario, 6 cambios de escenografía y 28 temas musicales renovados y producidos para la gira.

Durante la gira, se escucharán canciones que no se habían interpretado anteriormente en concierto. Y éxitos que su público cobijó y agradeció volver a escuchar.

Gloria Trevi: Isla Divina Tour

Gloria Trevi has announced that she’s bringing her Isla Divina (Divine Island) tour to the Save Mart Center on October 1, 2022. This marks Trevi’s first tour in three years, following her 2019 Diosa de la Noche, which she was unable to complete due to the global pandemic in 2020. With the return of the live music industry, Trevi promises fans a conceptual tour that’s a “journey of freedom.”

‘Isla Divina’ is a world where there are no wars, no pandemic, no violence, no protests,” states Trevi. “It’s a world without diseases, where we can laugh and sing, where there is equality. It’s a beautiful world, one that we all dream of and have inside our hearts.” The more than two-hour show consists of nearly 15 different outfit changes, 25 of Trevi’s biggest hits, a colorful stage setting, dancers, and a world that transforms from an apocalypse into an ideal island.

Tickets are on sale now and are available via Ticketmaster.com or at our box office.  Box office hours are 12n-5p Monday - Friday.

Gloria Trevi , named one of the best-selling traveling musicians of the twenty-first century by Pollstar, is back on the street for a world tour.

Gloria Trevi, a Mexican pop diva, has officially announced her forthcoming Isla Divina (Divine Island) tour in the United States. According to the artist, she wants to take her followers on a “journey of liberation.”

It will be Gloria Trevia’s 1st trip in three years, following the cancellation of her Diosa de la Noche tour in 2019 because to the COVID-19 epidemic. Gloria Trevia will launch her new solo album in April, following the premiere of a clip for her song La Recaida.

The tour promises outstanding creative standards as well as a customized show with technology displays, screens, lighting, and special effects.

Special outfits, a whole band, and a dance troupe will add to Trevi’s show.

Isla Divina tickets went on sale on Livenation, TicketNetwork , and Ticketera on March 25, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. With the code Divina, pre-sale tickets were available from noon on March 22 until 10:00 pm on March 24, 2022. On March 24, 2022 , the venue and radio pre-sale took place from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Ticket prices range from $56 to $211, based on the venue.Tickets are available at the United Wireless Arena box office, online at the United Wireless Arena website, and at Ticketmaster.com. After initiating her new tour with  six   (6)   SOLD-OUT  shows at the  Auditorio Nacional  in  Mexico City,  Latin music icon  Gloria Trevi  welcomes us to her  Isla Divina World Tour 2022 .

The highly anticipated US tour will be produced by   Live Nation ,  Great Talent Entertainment , and  Latino Live , and will begin with a historic return to the “Isla del Encanto”  Puerto Rico . Trevi is planning to take her  Isla Divina World Tour 2022  to  over 40 cities  around the  United States.
