Triple Treat – 3 Night Trip 2024

Nestled high within the arctic circle lies a place that blends magical imagination with breathtaking reality. A wintery wonderland where snow stretches in all directions and nature’s showstopping spectacle the northern lights dances across the night sky.

Lapland is quite unlike anywhere else on the planet. A vast, unrestrained wilderness blanketed with snow simply begging to be used for a snowball fight or to build a snowman, delightful towns that wouldn’t appear out of place in fairy tales, thick forests with ancient origins, and of course, Lapland’s most famous resident, Santa Clause.

Whether you’re making the trip north with young children desperate to catch a glimpse of jolly St Nicholas and perhaps a few of the roughly 200,000 reindeer in the region or simply as adults looking for a spectacular setting for one of the most unique holiday destinations around, Lapland is where the magic comes to life.

Lapland is a beautiful, sprawling area that covers the northern regions of Finland, Norway, Sweden and even part of Russia’s Kola Peninsula. It is home to less than 200,000 people but covers a huge 100,366 square km, making it comfortably bigger than the whole of Ireland.

While the name Lapland has become synonymous with a jolly man who generally wears a red suit (more on that shortly), the region has been home to the traditional Sami culture for considerably longer than the existence of Christmas.

These indigenous people may number less than 80,000 today, but their fascinating way of life, colourful costumes and deep connection to this harsh yet stunning environment shouldn’t be missed on any visit to Lapland. This is a region that effortlessly blends the mythical and fantastical with a rich history and traditional culture that makes it a wonderful place to visit for people of all ages.

For many, Christmas has simply become a time of buying gifts and then fretting over whether you made the correct purchase. In many ways, materialism has overtaken the spirit of Christmas. Often we forgo life-affirming experiences for gadgets that we will quickly tire of anywhere – but this Christmas, why not go against the grain and create memories that you’ll be coming back to for years to come?

Visiting Lapland for Christmas is an experience that no child forgets in a hurry – or adult for that matter – and that moment when your sleigh pulls up outside Santa’s house in the forest will leave people of all ages with that warm magical feeling inside that we all have as children but which gradually fades as we grow up.

But this is no Disneyland Christmas. Lapland’s remoteness and ruggedness provide a glorious setting for an experience that remains intrinsically linked with the natural world. While there is plenty of time to curl up next to a cosy fire, a few days in Lapland promises plenty of outdoor fun and a truly unique Christmas experience.

While visiting the Big Man will probably sit high on every wish list, there’s plenty more to do while you’re in Lapland. Whether you’re looking for high-octane fun as you thunder through ancient forests or the more sedate as you make use of the saunas and amenities in the town of Pyhä, there’s plenty to keep everyone happy.

Perhaps you’ve always dreamed of learning to drive a snowmobile or maybe it’s the idea of riding on a sleigh pulled by either huskies or reindeer as your hurtle through a frozen wilderness quite unlike anywhere you’ve ever experienced that you’re looking forward to the most. Tobogganing is also available as is a visit to a real-life igloo where you’ll experience what it’s like to live within walls made entirely of ice.

Then we come to one of nature’s true wonders – a sight so mesmerising that it’s almost worth making the long journey to simply stare up at the sky in amazement. The Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis to use its more scientific name, is quite simply spellbinding if you’re lucky enough to witness it. There’s a good deal of fortune involved when it comes to seeing these dazzling lights so keep your fingers crossed and stay up-to-date with the Northern Lights Forecast app.

An Experience to Remember

We are happy to offer everything from single-day trips to 3-night packages that allows you to experience much more of what Lapland has to offer.

If you’re short on time then no problem. Our single-day option whisks you from Dublin to Lapland and back in a single day while still allowing you to visit Santa and experience this extraordinary setting.

For those with a little more time, why not stick around for a few days? Our two or three-night options let you get to know the region better and mean you can experience a wider variety of activities on offer. For a better idea of what is included in all three packages available, visit our holiday tours page for a full breakdown of the daily schedules.

There are holidays that you’ll always vaguely remember, then there are experiences that you’ll never forget. Children might be looking forward to seeing Santa Clause the most, but in years to come it may well be the sleigh ride through the frigid forest with the setting sun as a backdrop that they remember the most. While adults who had long considered themselves too old to experience Christmas as they did as children, might best recall the moment when they finally came face to face with Santa.

There’s no right way to experience Lapland. However you choose to do it, this is one place that stays with you for the rest of your life.

What do our customers say?

The reviews speak for themselves. See what Nordic Visitor travellers said about their experience with us.

Super organised

Everything was super organised and detailed, there is nothing to complain well done Nordic Visitor. We enjoyed all tours that were organised for us.

Amazing experience

Having not done a tour like this before, it was comforting to know that someone else had taken the reins and everything was double-checked. Liza was helpful with all my booking questions and all the team members we met on our trip were friendly and knowledgeable. We learnt so much about Swedish life and traditions on our stay, in addition to some amazing experiences.

Trip of a lifetime!

This was a trip of a lifetime and I would do the exact same trip over again! We had a blast and cannot wait to get back to Sweden.

Thanks Nordic Visitor!

Nordic Visitor made booking what could be a potentially complex trip (finding the right accommodation and day trips, etc.) really easy. We booked very last-minute and our consultant Ruzena could not have been more helpful - booking and arranging the package we wanted for the exact dates we requested at short-notice. Thanks!

Unforgettable experience

It was the best decision to book with Nordic Visitor. Juliana, our travel agent, responded quickly and gave us great tips and service when we needed it. The excursion we took, snowmobiling and chasing the northern lights, was unforgettable, and the dog sledding was a wonderful experience. The stay at the seasonal ICEHOTEL - wow! Every detail was well planned and scheduled by Nordic Visitor. We are extremely grateful and it exceeded our expectations.

Exactly what we're looking for

This was my second tour with Nordic Visitor, and I will continue to use them as a first choice option when exploring trips in the Europe area. They offered exactly what my wife and I are looking for in planning guided and semi-guided experiences.

We were well looked after

We had a fantastic time. We were well looked after. Our activities were well laid out. Liza our Nordic Visitor agent was really good keeping us informed as well.

We absolutely loved our experience with Nordic Visitor! From our first inquiry to our last goodbye, we had exceptional service and attention. It quite literally was everything we asked for and more! Our travel consultant worked diligently to accommodate our every wish, was always in communication with us, and was simply amazing! This was a trip of a lifetime!

Outstanding experience!

The entire experience was perfection! The dog sledding was outstanding. There are no words to adequately describe how beautiful and peaceful it is out there with the dogs. The reindeer farm was so fun! Everything and everyone was truly outstanding! All of the drivers were prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. Starting every day with such a beautiful and thoughtfully prepared breakfast spread was above and beyond. Every excursion/tour was amazing, from the guides to the food to the excursions themselves. We loved everything.

Nordic Visitor thought of everything

I can't say enough about Nordic Visitor. They really thought of everything and handled even real time unexpected issues promptly. We would have definitely not had such a good experience had I tried to plan this all on our own!

Thrilling trip!

We were very pleased with our trip to Lapland, Finland. Quite honestly, we didn't know what to expect, because we had never been there before. The activities we experienced (snowmobiling, dog sledding, reindeer sledding) meant we were thrilled with our trip. Nordic Visitor made the travel very smooth and enjoyable.

Excellent experience!

Cannot fault our experience. Everything was made very easy from start to finish. Thank you so much. Loads included but still had enough time to do other things and explore on our own. Excellent experience. No glitches so no negative memories of the experience. Loved equally by child and adults!

To reach Finnish Lapland from Ireland, you can either fly direct or take connecting flights via Helsinki or London Stansted.

For instance, Ryanair offers direct flights from Dublin to Rovaniemi, in Finnish Lapland, in just 2 hours 25 minutes.

Alternatively, choose Finnair and you can fly from Dublin to Helsinki in 3 hours 5 minutes, before taking a connecting flight to Finnish Lapland.

Helsinki-Vantaa Airport is Finland’s gateway for international air travel. From here, you’ll be able to take a direct flight to either Rovaniemi or Kemi with Finnair or Norwegian. Before deciding on dates for your trip, we recommend checking airline websites directly for flight availability and timetables. Or use airfare search engines, like Skyscanner, Dohop or Kayak, for example.

Flights aren’t included in Nordic Visitor packages, so you’re free to choose the journey that suits you best. But it’s good to know that all of our itineraries can be customised with extra nights in your arrival city if you’d like to rest up after your flight.

VISIT ONE OF LAPLAND’S ICE HOTELS OR GLASS IGLOOS

One of the “coolest” things you can do in Lapland is stay in an ice hotel. Marvel at the ice sculptures, imaginatively themed rooms, and restaurants and bars carved from frozen water. Since many of the hotels melt in the spring, artists start from scratch and rebuild them each winter.

Spending the night in an ice suite is on many travellers’ wish lists. And don’t worry, you’ll be kept cosy thanks to thermal sleeping bags and reindeer hides, with the chance to step into a hot sauna in the morning.

If you’d rather sleep in a warm room, you can take a guided tour of these ice hotels instead.

You could stay in a glass igloo in Lapland. Imagine snuggling up in your heated dome, looking through the clear glass up to the night sky. You might even be treated to a northern lights show from your bed!

Here are the best ice hotels for an overnight trip in Lapland:

VISIT FINNISH OR SWEDISH LAPLAND

For your trip to Lapland, you can take your pick from Finland or Sweden. Both destinations offer similar experiences, such as aurora hunting excursions, snowmobile adventures, and opportunities for husky and reindeer sledding.

That said, Finnish and Swedish Lapland each have particular highlights that you should know about before deciding where to go. Check out these itinerary recommendations for a taste of what to expect in Finland and Sweden, respectively.

  • Find out how you could spend 5 days or 6 days in Lapland
  • Get inspired by these 3-day and 4-day Lapland tours

ITINERARY SUGGESTION FOR FINNISH LAPLAND:

Day 1 - Arrival in Rovaniemi & snowmobile safari Upon arrival, a driver will meet you at Rovaniemi Airport for your transfer to your accommodation. You could rest after your journey or head into town to explore a little before your first Lapland adventure.

Come evening, it’s time to embark on a snowmobile safari and hunt for the northern lights. Enjoy an exhilarating ride through the snow, looking for the aurora borealis, as an expert guide leads you along the trails.

Round off your excursion with a hot drink and snack beside the campfire, then return to your hotel for a peaceful night’s sleep.

Spend the night in Rovaniemi.

Day 2 - Dog sledding and Finnish sauna Head into the snow-draped scenery outside Rovaniemi today with a guided dog sled excursion. Learn about this traditional mode of transport in Lapland, starting with a brief lesson at the kennel. Then mush through the woods with your own sled.

Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure in Rovaniemi. You could indulge in a sauna session, the typical way to relax and unwind here in Finland.

Day 3 - Reindeer farm and Santa Claus Village This morning, hop on a snowmobile and make your way to a traditional reindeer farm. Here you can learn about the culture of Lapland’s native people, the Sami, and go on a sleigh ride.

Next, prepare to meet the “man in red” with a visit to Santa Claus Village, just outside Rovaniemi.

Soak up the festive atmosphere of this Christmassy haven, which is open year-round. Enjoy a private meeting with Santa with the elves on hand, and send a postcard from the Santa Claus Post Office. Then why not browse for souvenirs at the craft shops?

Day 4 - Day at leisure and visit to the Arctic SnowHotel Learn more about the local history, nature and culture in Rovaniemi this morning by paying a visit to the Arktikum Museum. Here you can explore the intriguing exhibits about Finnish Lapland and the Arctic region.

Come evening, head to the Arctic SnowHotel in Lehtojärvi, just outside Rovaniemi. Take a guided tour of this fascinating frozen hotel, which is created anew each year. Check out the rooms, restaurant and bar, all sculpted from ice and snow.

After your tour sit down for a delicious 3-course meal at Restaurant Kota, inspired by traditional Sami architecture. Then, you’ll either return to your accommodation in Rovaniemi, or overnight in the Arctic SnowHotel for an unforgettable stay. Choose from sleeping in an ice room or a glass igloo.

Spend the night in Rovaniemi or the Arctic SnowHotel.

Day 5 - Departure Today you’ll be transferred back to Rovaniemi Airport where you’ll fly home from your Lapland holiday.

  • Visit Finland in winter with one of these Rovaniemi tours
  • Read this guide to Finland in winter for more inspiration

ITINERARY SUGGESTION FOR SWEDISH LAPLAND:

Day 1 - Arrival in Kiruna and snowmobile safari After touching down at Kiruna Airport, a driver will meet you and take you to your hotel. Enjoy some free time to yourself, perhaps getting to know the town or simply relaxing before you head out later.

In the evening you’ll get to explore the countryside on a snowmobile excursion, searching for the northern lights. Follow your guide through the snow as they lead you to the best spots to look for the aurora. And enjoy the thrill of the ride as you go.

Later, cosy up beside the fireplace in a wooden hut and tuck into a rustic dinner of traditional local food. Afterwards, your guide will take you back to your accommodation.

Spend the night in Kiruna.

Day 2 - Dog sledding Today you can enjoy one of Lapland’s most special traditions: husky sledding.

Meet the huskies at the kennel and learn how to drive your sled from an expert guide. Head out onto the trails, gliding through the woods and across snowy plains, soaking up the views as you go. Afterwards, you’ll fuel up with a hot cup of coffee and a light lunch by the campfire.

In the evening, you could chase the northern lights again on a snowshoe excursion.

Day 3 - Visit the ICEHOTEL and a Sámi reindeer farm This morning, discover the famous ICEHOTEL, situated in the village of Jukkasjärvi just outside Kiruna. This is the original ice hotel that set a trend for the many others that now exist around the world.

Begin with a guided tour of this extraordinary hotel, learning how artists build it using ice from the Torne River nearby. You’ll also get to explore the ICEHOTEL 365, a year-round structure that stays cold in the summer thanks to solar energy.

Once you’ve seen the stunning ice rooms, sculptures, church and bar, you’ll be collected from the ICEHOTEL for your next excursion. Get an insight into the Sámi way of life by visiting a traditional reindeer farm. Drive a reindeer sled then enjoy some snacks in a lavvu, a typical Sámi tent.

Then comes the highlight: sleeping in a room made entirely from ice and snow!

Spend the night in Kiruna or the ICEHOTEL.

Day 4 - Departure Today you’ll take a transfer to Kiruna Airport where you’ll fly home from your Lapland holiday.

  • Experience Swedish Lapland on one of these Kiruna tour packages
  • Discover the top 10 reasons to take a winter break in Kiruna, Sweden

BEST TIME TO VISIT LAPLAND

The best time to visit Lapland is between December and March, when you can enjoy the magical white scenery, northern lights, and excursions in the snow.

Certain activities are available in Lapland year-round. For example, in summer you can meet Father Christmas, or even visit certain ice hotels that use solar power to keep some of their rooms frozen. That said, we recommend travelling in winter for the quintessential Lapland experience.

Thanks to snowfall from mid-October to mid-May, you’ll be surrounded by snow-blanketed scenery between December and March. These are the perfect conditions for winter activities, including reindeer sleigh rides and snowshoe excursions.

What’s more, in winter you have the best chance of seeing the northern lights. The long, dark nights at this time of year provide the ideal backdrop for watching the aurora borealis.

In summer, on the other hand, there are long daylight hours in Lapland – a phenomenon called the “midnight sun”. With light skies all night long, it’ll be too bright to see the aurora borealis.

Find out how to increase your chances of spotting the aurora borealis with these guides:

  • Best time and place to see the northern lights in Finland
  • Best time and place to see the northern lights in Sweden
  • What are the northern lights? Aurora borealis explained

CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR IN LAPLAND

Perhaps you want to time your Lapland trip for December to celebrate Christmas or New Year’s Eve in this winter wonderland?

Spend Christmas in Lapland and you could attend a festive gala dinner for Christmas Eve, accompanied by Santa’s elves. Join in the fun and help to decorate the Christmas tree before you tuck into a mouth-watering feast.

Then spend the ultimate Christmas Day in Santa’s Lapland. Whizz through the snow on a reindeer sleigh, meet Santa Claus in his workshop and enjoy delicious Christmas food. Think freshly baked gingerbread biscuits followed by a warming glass of glögg (mulled wine).

Or visit Lapland at New Year for a celebration to remember. Attend a New Year’s Eve party in a wooden hut in the middle of a Finnish forest, experiencing local customs and cuisine. And, of course, you’d get to watch a spectacular fireworks display at the stroke of midnight.

But don’t forget, you can get into the festive spirit at any time of year with Santa breaks in Finnish Lapland !

DAY ONE - ARRIVAL TO LAPLAND

Meals included breakfast & dinner

Our day begins with an early morning flight from Dublin airport to Kittila airport in Lapland. During the flight you will be served a light breakfast and with the permission of our friendly airline crew there will be plenty of fun and games on board.

Kittila airport is located north of the Arctic Circle and the flying time is just over 3 hours. On arrival at Kittila airport you will be met by Santa's helpful guides who will help you get fitted out in your special thermal clothing that is essential for your holiday in Lapland. You will receive complimentary thermal suits, boots, socks, gloves and a warm hat to keep you nice and toasty at all times. Once you are all fitted out in your clothing, you will continue on your way by coach to your chosen hotel or apartment. Make sure you keep a watchful lookout for Santa's reindeers along the way and Santa's secret hideaway. The transfer time is short, in approximately 45 minutes you will arrive at your chosen hotel or apartment.

Why not explore your snowy surroundings, build a snowman, find a toboggan or simply play in the snow or enjoy the facilities at your hotel as tomorrow you will have a busy day. Tonight you can relax and enjoy a nice buffet dinner at your hotel.

DAY TWO - SEARCH FOR SANTA

Meals included breakfast, lunch & dinner

After breakfast you will be met by Santa's helpers. Today will be the highlight of your trip, you will search for Santa and begin your wintry adventure where you will get to enjoy the following activities during this magical day.

You will head out deep into the arctic wilderness where you will get to enjoy a short Reindeer ride, an exciting Husky ride, a snowmobile safari and have fun tobogganing. During the day you will get to visit one of Santa's enchanting workshops hidden deep in the forest. Here you will learn the importance of being an elf at Elf School, you will take part in decorating some festive decorating, take a guided tour of an elf's house and maybe even catch a glimpse of the elves in their bedrooms and listen to their funny stories. You will get to experience Santa's toy factory as there are a lot of toys to prepare. You will see the elves working busily in the Post Office sorting out all the letters from all the boys and girls and you will have the opportunity to have a private family meeting with Santa Claus himself.

Outdoors you might be really lucky and see some of Santa's reindeers taking a well-earned rest, could it be Dancer, Dasher, Prancer, Vixen, Blitzen, Comet, Cupid, Donner or Rudolf.

Wow! Lapland was the trip of a lifetime and a family memory to last forever. The magic begins from the moment you reach the airport but meeting Santa and his elves was like something out of a fairy tale. My two boys still talk about it to this day.

Gillian Murphy, Cassidy Travel Expert Advisor

Fun packed from start to finish. It was hard to sit still, I was that excited and every hour brought more magic!

Erin Murphy, 11 yrs, Rush

My one-night trip to Lapland was the magical holiday of a lifetime. At nearly 40 years of age, it was a dream come true for me, not to mention my 3 children. I just wish I went for longer with the 2 or 3 night trips!

Julie Hanna, Cassidy Travel's Cruise Expert

Our family trip to Lapland was magical. I will never forget that when it started to snow, our 7 year old asked 'Is that Santa's magic dust falling?' because the snow in Lapland was so fine!

Paula, Dublin

Lapland is the trip where kids’ dreams come true! Meeting the Santa and the elves to feeding the reindeer, the children's excitement never dropped. It’s a trip me and my family will remember for the rest of our lives.

Brian, Cassidy Travel Golf Holiday Expert

It was a magical experience for my 5 year old Robyn from start to finish! The reindeer, huskies and all the stops with the elves were brilliant. Our guides (Tasha and Lauran) were brilliant and made the trip so much fun for all the kids (and adults!)

Our Experts

You'll fly into Kittila airport on our three night trip to Lapland. Located in Northern Lapland, this destination has more snow, and is darker and colder than Southern Lapland. There are two resorts near Kittila airport - the first is Ylläs, where the Northern Lights are regular visitors, and street lights are turned off for better visibility on Aurora Borealis nights! Close by are two genuine Lappish villages, and a fantastic network of cross-country trails for snow sports. The second resort is a new addition for 2018 - Levi Resort offers stunning landscapes of frozen lakes, snow-capped trees and breathtaking mountains. Known as Finland's biggest ski resort, Levi is very family friendly, featuring a magical array of restaurants, shops and bars.

Things to do:

Sample the range of restaurants available, or shop in the beautiful markets for a souvenir! Enjoy snow sports outside the city, and see if you can spot a reindeer!

ARE TOURS SUITABLE FOR ADULTS, OLDER CHILDREN & TEENS?

Yes! Older children, teens and adults really enjoy the outdoor activities such as snowmobiles, reindeer & husky safaris and many of the Lapland experiences!

WHAT IS THE FOOD LIKE?

Generally breakfast, lunch and dinner are buffet style and will cater to both adults and children's tastes. Where possible, we do try to ensure meals are similar to home, however you are travelling to a foreign county so do not expect the same food. It is your responsibility to inform us of dietary requirements before travelling.

WILL MY GUIDES SPEAK ENGLISH?

All our Elf helpers speak English, and locals often speak both Finnish and English.

IS IT SAFE?

Lapland is perfectly safe provided you follow the instructions from your arctic guides. Arctic conditions prevail, so it is important to be sensible and accept guidance when given. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their own party for the duration of the tour, and it's important to note that your guide may alter the scheduled tour content in the interests if safety.

WILL YOU HELP US WITH ACTIVITES?

We have special safety regulations regarding every aspect of safaris. Technical instruction is provided before all safaris, so all participants have knowledge on how to manoeuver the vehicles. Guidance will be in English.

About your surroundings:

WILL IT BE DARK DURING THE DAY?

An average Lapland day will provide 4.5 hours of what is termed 'grey' light (generally between 10:00hrs and 14:30hrs daily Finnish time, although this will vary depending on location). Outside of these hours it will be like night time at home in Ireland but with the advantage of snow. Venues for our day visits to Lapland are accordingly lit naturally using roaring fires and Lappish outdoor candles providing an attractive setting for the events taking place.

IS LAPLAND SUITABLE FOR INFANTS?

Finland can reach severely cold temperatures, and it is essential that you bring adequate thermal clothing for any children less than two years of age. We would recommend that you purchase a thermal snow suit for children under 2 years of age and bring it with you. It is recommended that you consult your doctor before booking and seek advice on the suitability of such harsh conditions for your child. It is also worth noting that buggies will not be suitable for use in the deep snow found in most areas.

WHAT SHOULD I PACK?

All guests receive Thermal Suits on arrival, which are similar to Ski Suits and boots. You will need to pack a selection of warm clothing to layer underneath including thermal underwear and warm tights. It is advisable that you wear something comfortable underneath the suits as you are in these for the majority of the time spent in Lapland. Don’t forget to bring hats, waterproof gloves and scarves for extra warmth. Snow boots are provided for your own safety, it is essential that these are worn at all times. Wellington boots and denim jeans are unsuitable for Lapland weather conditions.

We have a range of suit and boot sizes available, so those looking for extra large sizes will find a suit to fit them. However, we do not provide thermal suits for Infants under 2 years of age.

WILL IT BE COLD?

Temperatures can vary year on year, but can regularly fall to -15 and have been known to go even lower, however you will be provided with Thermal Suits and Snow Boots, so you will be suitably dressed for the cold. If you are concerned about the cold, consider travelling in early December as it is often not as cold as late December.

ABTA covers package holidays that include rail, cruise or self-drive transport but does not offer protection for flight-based packages. ABTA also provides advice for people who believe their holiday package has been mis-sold and are seeking compensation.

ATOL covers package holidays that include flights- for example, a flight and accommodation package. If you are on holiday at the time, you will be flown home with repatriation flights through ATOL. However, ATOL does not cover flights which have been purchased directly through the airline.

Another difference between the two is that ATOL is a compulsory licensing system run by the government, while ABTA is a voluntary scheme that travel companies can sign up to if they meet the requirements.

Top 5 airlines serving from Dublin to Lapland

Fantastic, the 787-9 is a very beautifully designed plane and it was a pleasure to fly in the Qsuite. The suite did feel slightly smaller than the 777 variant, and the suite door also felt smaller, as I felt more exposed as passengers and crew walked past. Food was too notch, and the service was fantastic. I wish they’d enforce boarding zones more effectively, but otherwise they did really well.

My seat that I booked over a year ago and some other passenger was sitting in it. They said they could not walk and they would not move. I was with my young kid and the crew did nothing to accommodate that. Just disappointed that the airline accepts that excuse from a passenger.

They shld provide food. Between food they are giving 10 hours gap which is toooo much

Other than low space, which is the problem with all airlines for economy class, the flight was excellent.

It was the terrific, I was promoted to businessman class, and the service was amazing.

Fine. Don’t think I would fly with them again

In spite of placing requests for vegetarian food, I didn’t get it because they ran out of stock. According to crew, only fixed number of vegetarian orders will be carried. Typically, they should have checked and served those who had specifically requested. I was one of those to get the food last.

Ordinary Indian food... Not great. Limited movie and TV selection

need to improve management and air hostess services. Rest of it’s OK.

My Tv don’t work the whole from Doha to New Delhi. Overnight didn’t work from Bos to Doha and had to eat food without light

Loved the check-in experience. Very friendly staff and not crowded. I did wind up with a middle-middle seat, which was quite uncomfortable. Always appreciate the very professional staff on TAL.

Don’t use them on the IST-isb route, horrible service

Turkish airline always good Only Turkish representatives at the gave need to be more helpfull to any staff who traveling on Turkish airline . One situation happened Ist to jfk on Feb 29 TK3 had seats I asked them to transfer me to tk3 because Feb 29 tk1 was oversold and they advise me that I might not make it for tk1 I asked them to transfer me to tk3 and they say no they can’t do it I been telling them you know that I don’t have a chance for tk 1 why would you let plane go with some empty seats on tk3 if you can transfer me to tk3 and have less staff on tk1 and still told me no I waited for tk1 9 hours and only last minute I got seat on tk1 It was not easy situation but I am glad I made it home Thank you Turkish Airline One more suggestion for Turkish Airline you need to make a FIRST CLASS cabin it would be so cool 🆒 Good luck all the best See you more

Service was superb and the flight experience overall was great

Flight canceled and uncanceled. I had already rebooked and so have to pay for both. No one is willing to admit fault

Flight canceled and then “uncanceled” after I booked are placement. I had to pay for both a Turkish Air doesn’t admit their mistake

Traveling is Okay, but staying in Istanbul, specially Wi-Fi in airport terrible.

On line check in needs a lot of improvement. I tried and gave up.

No wifi at all during the entire flight from Istanbul to Miami.

easy and perfect boarding; no change in scheduled flights. keep up the good work.

Short flight so not much to rate. Surprised I had to pay for a soda.

the room on the plane was good but that is because flight not sold the other three seat and I had room. the food in terrible.

First the price I paid was excellent, my flight was full, but my seat was roomy. The one downside to the experience was they had games on the entertainment console. The guy behind me poked at my head about half the flight. I hope they get rid of this feature.

Very good need to offer better choice of food for business

They should. Heck planes more often not when they are suppose to be leaving causing delays

Crew was fantastic got lovely food and plenty of water. Entertainment was good. Never had to ask for anything. Left on time and got to Seattle early. Luggage did not take long either.

Always find Aer Lingus reliable and good value for money. Food on this flight was pretty basic and the headphone Jack at my seat only worked for one ear. Little disappointed in movie selection, limited on recent releases. Staff are okay - but I always buy a cheap ticket so not like I expect first class opulence anyway!!!

Boarding was so quick, flight was ahead of time which is great and the pilot spoke clearly and was letting people know everything, amazing, love travelling with you 😊

Great hospitality and service! Seats could always be cushioned better.

Excellent long haul experience really enjoyed using Dublin pre-immigration

We were helped whenever needed and had a pleasant flight.

Food was OK.. nothing to rave about but it was tasty enough. Many choices to choose from for entertainment. Seats tight but comfortable. Flight attendants cheerful & helpful.

This flight space was way better than our international flight. Efficient boarding and comfortable

Great service. The flight was in great condition and the staff was very cheerful.

Boarding was horrible. We were packed into a bus with few seats and made to stand for 10 to 15 minutes, then driven for 5 minutes on wild curves. Complementary food and drink was a tiny chocolate and a bottle of water. Seating was cramped. Aircraft had no video.

Did not appreciate being bumped from the seat I selected during checkin the day before the flight by an overbidding fellow passenger… I am also a paying customer Lufthansa!

Absolutely horrific. Not only did the plane not board until AFTER it was supposed to have arrived in Luxembourg, but at the VERY last minute they announced that they would have to bump 10 people from the flight. Of course our family of 4 (trying to make it to Luxembourg to see my children’s 86 yo grandmother for Christmas) was bumped. There were 4 staff members, only one of which was even remotely trying to answer questions or get people on another flight. The reason they bumped us was bc a crew member was sick so instead of 110 passengers they could only take 100. This seemed ridiculous for a 30 minute flight where nothing is served anyway(!!?) They told us they could only book us on a Lufthansa flight at 1pm, but that there were no seats guaranteed. They also told us we would get a €250/person voucher for our troubles. They then gave us a link to a website to get those vouchers. When we got to the gate, the Lufthansa crew said that the flight was already overbooked and it was very unlikely that we would get on board. When asked if we could get our luggage and rent a car instead, they said it would take at least 2-3 hours to get our luggage. When we finally were allowed on the flight at the very last minute, we arrived in Luxembourg and none of our luggage (5 bags) with all of our Christmas presents and clothes/toiletries for the week made it to Luxembourg. Oh, and the link to get the vouchers doesn’t work….I think Air Dolomiti has a lot to answer for. I will be sure to avoid them at all cost in the future. I would recommend that companies like Kayak should use more professional air lines.

My flight was delayed for more than an hour due to planning amd scheduling issues all of which were Lufthansa's responsibility. They failed dismally at doing what was agreed upon and their reparations were inadequate and completely useless to us. The flight crew were lovely however the ground crew working out of their customer service were the modt rude and obnoxious people i have ever had the misfortune of meeting.

Boarding pass could not be used in normal way due to reasons beyond my knowledge, there was argument for 3 hours and the whole episode was miserable specially when you are traveling with 83 yr old sr ctz in such long hall flight. Air india should be avoided if possible, Lufthansa should take a note of this harassment

Worst baggage handling system. Our bags were delayed and multiple calls to customer service agents didn't help. The customer service is really poor and do not provide any update. The airport ground staff also are not helpful in terms of providing right information. False information was provided that the bag has not reached SFO.

Due to long security check and no last call announcements from Gate staff, my family and 12 other passengers missed the flight.

What can you say Ryanair get you there,no frills Not so cheap anymore ..... but what is now days! Would use again as always. Good flight times for us.

Perfect timing, perfect departure, lovely crew on the ground and in the air.

bring iPad for entertainment. The flight was punctual as most of the time.

Ryanair is the worst airline in Europe and easily one of the worst in the planet

Flight with Ryanair more than 1,5 hours are awful... No space between seats, absolutely uncomfortable stay.

Loupé l'avion pas pu embarquer mon bagage en soute. Pas compris l'heure de fermeture.

Cheap flights as you expect with Ryanair. I would take cheaper flights over entertainment and comfort for short haul travel. Main issue is usually delays at airports. In this case we landed roughly 2hr30 later than planned due to earlier delays with the plane. Not the worst I imagine

While this flight from Dublin to Venice boarded on time, its departure was delayed by about an hour because, apparently, there were no demonstration kits on board, and we couldn't depart until the safety demonstration was completed. We were informed that we were in danger of losing our delayed slot if Ryanair engineering didn't provide the kits 'soon', which would have resulted in an additional two-hour delay. Thankfully, we didn't incur that additional delay. It's not clear where the source of this problem lies but it needs to be addressed to ensure it does not recur for other flights in the future.

Usual RyanAir flight but disembarking was poor, no rear steps. The Faro Airport required lots of up step and down steps, no elevator Getting through passport control took 50 minutes in the EU line
