Swiss Activities Tip

Melide is a place that gained importance as a trading and customs center in the 15th century at the latest. The lake dam is a dam built in the 19th century, which allows a shore path along the lake to Bissone. Here you will also find the Swissminiatur. It shows on 14000 m² about 130 distinctive points of Switzerland in model form, built up in 25-fold reduction. Melide also has a lido beach, a large park with children's playground and beautiful hiking trails.

Croisières sur le Lac de Lugano

Entouré de collines, dont les bois effleurent les rivages, le Lac de Lugano se vante d’être plus sauvage que le Lac Majeur. Ses paysages fascinaient déjà autrefois les voyageurs du célèbre "Grand Tour", qui ne pouvaient renoncer à la traditionnelle traversée en bateau. En 1848, le “Ticino” fut le premier pyroscaphe qui sillonna les eaux du lac. Aujourd’hui, une flotte d’embarcations modernes propose un grand choix de croisières et offre la possibilité de rejoindre de nombreuses attractions de la région en bateau ( Gandria , Morcote , Swissminiatur , le funiculaire du San Salvatore , ou le train à crémaillère du Monte Generoso ).

Le Lac de Lugano occupe une surface de 50 km², dont 63% est en territoire suisse et 37% en Italie. Malgré sa largeur relativement étroite (environ 1 km), il est très profond et arrive jusqu’à 288 mètres. Les rives du lac ne sont pas entièrement praticables en voiture et pendant des siècles certains villages n’étaient accessibles que par le lac, comme les pittoresques localités de Gandria et de Morcote.

Croisières et excursions

Pour profiter au maximum du lac Ceresio, on peut s’adresser à la Società Navigazione del Lago di Lugano, qui présente un vaste choix d’itinéraires. D'avril à octobre, de nombreuses excursions sont proposées: le "classic tour" et le "scenic tour" qui parcourent la partie du lac entre Lugano, Gandria et Porlezza; le "magic tour" et le "golden tour" qui permettent d'accéder aux principales attractions situées au bord du lac; la croisière du soir (mai-septembre) pour aller dîner dans un grotto de Gandria ou Caprino au bord du lac, tout en se laissant charmer par le paysage nocturne. Le bateau représente aussi un moyen de transport très utile pour visiter certains des lieux les plus intéressants de la région de Lugano , nombreux desquels surplombent le lac. Il est donc possible d’associer une traversée en bateau à une belle promenade: le Sentier de Gandria, l’itinéraire des grotti (tavernes tessinoises) de Caprino, la randonnée autour du Monte Caslano ou encore celle qui descend du San Salvatore à Carona et Morcote. De plus, la croisière peut s’ajouter à la visite du village pittoresque de Morcote , de la Swissminiatur à Melide, ou du Musée des fossiles du Monte San Giorgio.

Traduction de chaque info en 3 langues car le groupe était composé d’anglais d’Allemands et de français. C’est dommage Sinon belle balade et il faut vraiment le faire. Nous sommes redescendus à pied. (Pour mois de 30€ pour 2 personnes) Tout d’abord... petit RDV devant le point « d’Information » sur la place de Lugano (longer le bord du Lac, une place avec des pins et c’est juste 30M en entrant dans les terres) Nous avons eu droit à une guide fort sympathique Amoureuse de sa région qui nous a guidés pour pas moins de 4h en sa compagnie. Prévoir chaussures plates ( des Chaussures de sport ferons l’affaires !) Visite à ne pas manquer en couple / familles/ enfants.
