All good, great location, amazing breakfast, nice pools for kids. A bit crowded pool area in the afternoon, but it was ok. Overall, great stay at OZO.

Modern hotel with very clean rooms. Breakfast buffet was abundant with changes day to day. 2 min walk to Kata beach through back gate. Staff friendly, warm and helpful.

The stay at OZO was lovely as staff are quite attentive and will try to help solve any of your request. The breakfast buffet spread was good but for the children section, it does not have much variation. My family enjoyed the pool and we love how fun the children section is. Would stay here again in future as we find the stay overall satisfying. :)

Super clean and incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Located in a great part of Kata Beach, close to the very busy beach and markets. In a flat location (parts of Kata quite steep). Rooms were spotless. Great buffet breakfast. Hotel very helpful organising trips. Recommend the Big Buddha/temple/Phuket town tour and the shorter elephant sanctuary, both fabulous.

I.think it's a very family friendly hotel, the rooms are fantastic if you have kids as it's a double room , so there is more space and privacy too. Everything is easy to find around the hotel,so no need to get lost and the pool is amazing! Just by the beach too which is a plus and fantastic food, breakfast is 10 out of 10! great kids menu and they have cute movie night for kids at 6:30pm ..last but most important the staff is wonderful, accommodating , polite and we loved it.

Great spot for Sun, Sea & Sand!”

We absolutely loved our stay at OZO! We stayed in Kata for 2 nights 3 days. The room is modern, clean, functional and well thought out. I only wished they had provided bedroom slippers. Our room came with breakfast. There is a wide selection of food with daily menu changes. Staff is very friendly and they make an effort to remember my name! OZO is a perfect spot if you are after the the 3S - sun, sea and sand. The hotel is very close to the Kata Beach (150m from the back gate). The sand is very soft and has great sunset with beach activities for hire. If you wish to just chillax with the family in the hotel, there’s plenty to do for a few days. They have a small but amazing water park for the young ones (up to 12 years) and a nice decent-sized pool. The hotel has an air-con chill lounge with tables, couches, computers and snooker table to chill in. We spent one afternoon in there playing snooker and sipping cocktails. There’s a cocktail promotion at half price from 2pm - 6pm. OZO also has activities for all ages and seasonal food promos. We had their Shabu Shabu Mookata set for lunch. The portion is enough for two and was delicious. In the evening, we had their Thai style charcoal barbecue picnic package. It wowed us as it came with the works: picnic mat, bean bags, cushions, charcoal stove, table, a decorative bouquet, a small light, 20 sticks of meat (of choice) and 10 skewers of vegetable (of choice), 2 box juices, 2 bottle of water, potato chips, gummies and fresh fruits! The hotel staff set everything up and pack everything away! All we had to do was to turn up. We also booked their cooking class. It is a 2 hours personal class conducted by their sous chef. We learned to make 2 Thai dishes and 1 dessert. On a side note: Many shops in the Kata town are closed down. Some are under renovation for their reopening post COVID 19 pandemic. There’s no much to see/do in the town except for cafes, massages and pubs (at night).

Excellent hotel for kids ”

I had a great time at Ozo with my 1 year old. The swimming pool and splash pool are great. There's a little slide and play area too. Breakfast is delicious. They have plastic cutlery and plates for kids as well as kid friendly food displayed low down so kids can see and serve themselves. I didn't do any extra activities as my son was too young, but there were lots of fun family friendly activities advertised for an extra cost. The hotel is a couple of minutes from the beach, opposite 7/11 and 1 minutes from the night market. Loads of nice restaurants walking distance too. I highly recommend it for a family holiday .

AMAZING STAFF AND SUPPORT ~ FINALLY BACK IN PHUKET”

After over 2.5 years it was finally possible to travel to Phuket again. My main purpose is for diving so I usually don't hang out in the hotels very often as I'm the whole day out on the ocean. Nevertheless, I always prefer a nice, clean hotel in a good location for my 'days off'. I picked OZO as I saw the hotel during my previous trips to Phuket and I always thought it looks great and welcoming from the outside. The "outside promise" didn't let me down :-) My stay was amazing! The staff was super friendly and so helpful with the regulations and requirements that are often times not easy to understand. Great selection of breakfast! The room was spacious and very clean and the location is a few minutes away from the beach. Restaurants, massage places, scooter rental are all in walking distance. It is obvious that the lack of tourism through the last 2 years left traces. Many 7/11 are closed, some restaurants are closed, some empty hotels that just didn't make it. Overall I recommend OZO and I'll be back soon! Thanks again for making my first stay after so many years a great experience!

Our visit to OZO was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The room we had had some insect issue which the hotel promptly tried to solve with deep cleaning and fumigation. We also appreciate them offering to change our room but the children were keen to stay in their bunk beds. Breakfasts were decent with variety of foods, fruit and drink. Short walk to the beach for soft sand play. Prefer this beach to karon beach! Kids love the slides. Handy 7-11, Watsons, shops just outside. Thank u to all the staff esp the kind security who kept us safe crossing the street, u rock.

The hotel is relatively new and very clean. The staff are very friendly. This accommodation is suitable for families with children. The hotel has a water park for children to play in, which they love. It is quite comfortable. There is a 7-11 opposite the hotel and there is a back door that can walk out to the beach. The breakfast is excellent with a variety of options to choose from. It's worth the price.

What is the food like at OZO Phuket? 

The food at OZO Phuket is outstanding. Their menu is one of those menus that makes you want to order everything! They have a fantastic range of Western, Thai and Asian food to satisfy any palate. The food is fresh, healthy and well prepared. The restaurant is excellently equipped including high chairs and plenty of space to aid social distancing.

OZO Phuket also have a kids menu and have plenty of food options to keep your little ones happy. The breakfasts are fantastic too- so you can fill up on a healthy and satisfying meal each day.

There is a great pool side bar serving a range of beers, cocktails and spirits. Oh yeah and don’t miss the half price happy hour for a cheeky cocktail or two. 

What is the pool like at OZO Phuket?

There are actually THREE swimming pools at OZO Phuket.  All of the swimming pools at OZO Phuket are warm and clean. The main pool is long and wide and is surrounded by deck chairs and umbrellas. It is also conveniently located next to the restaurant and bar. 

The big kids activities pool has an epic water slide, a volleyball net, artificial waterfalls, a volleyball net and a climbing wall (yeah you read that right, a climbing wall). 

The little kids play pool is shallow and has lots of squirty sprayie water features and a big red octopus called Olly who is always ready to greet guests with a smile and a spray. The little kids play pool also has a smaller water slide for little bums. 

Oh yeah and just next to the kids pool is an activities corner which is a well designed play park with a climbing frame, slide and a soft floor. 

How close to the beach is OZO Phuket? 

OZO Phuket is located right next to Kata beach at the north side of the bay. You can walk to the beach a couple of minutes from OZO. There is actually a little beach gate just past the waterslide pool enabling you to take a convenient shortcut to the beach. Kata beach is a fantastic spot for surfing in Phuket. Kata beach is west facing and is great for sunset walks along the beach.  

Can I park a car at OZO Phuket? 

Yes, guests can park their cars (or rental cars) at OZO Phuket free of charge. OZO Phuket has an under-cover car park located just in front of the reception. 

What time is check in and check out at OZO Phuket? 

Check in time is at 12pm and check out time is at 2pm at OZO Phuket. OZO Phuket have a smooth check in and check out process. In some of their packages late check outs are sometimes included. 

How do I get to OZO Phuket? 

OZO Phuket offer an airport transfer service for an additional fee. They also include a free airport transfer in some of their packages so keep an eye out for this. Another great option is to download the Grab App to your phone and use this to book a taxi (the prices seem to be the best you can get for taxis and this app is used by locals). Alternatively you could rent a car at the airport and use the car to travel to OZO Phuket and explore the island. 

What activities can you do at OZO Phuket? 

OZO Phuket has a wide range of activities and tours available. There really is something for everyone: 

Try a Thai Cooking class – a great way to connect with the local culture and food, classes show you how to cook traditional Thai dishes from fresh local ingredients. AT the end of the course you get to enjoy the delicious food that you have prepared. 

Elephant sanctuary visit

OZO Phuket can also arrange tours of an ethical elephant sanctuary, allowing you to connect with these beautiful gentle giants. At the elephant sanctuary you learn about the backstories of the rescued elephants. Feed them their favourite treat of bananas and give them a mud bath. All of this is followed by a swim in the river with the elephants then off for a show and lunch. 

Surf lessons

OZO Phuket can hook you up with surf lessons. Kata bay is a great spot for surfing. Obviously the waves depend on the weather conditions and the time of year. We found that the waves were big enough to give you a challenge but not too big to put off a beginner. 

Paddle boarding lessons

OZO Phuket can also arrange a paddle boarding lesson for you. Paddle boarding is a little more chilled out than surfing. The board is bigger and more stable in the water. You stand up on the board and use a paddle to get around. Paddle boarders can also ride waves just like surfers. 

Art lessons

The OZO Phuket also has some connections with exciting art projects in the community. The hotel can arrange an art lesson for you – great for kids too. The art teachers are creative, engaging and provide a range of materials to help you develop a creative masterpiece. We were very impressed by OZO Phuket’s commitment to support artists in the pandemic by creating an art project along the walls of the resort. 

The OZO hotpot

The OZO Phuket offer a hotpot culinary experience. Served at the beautiful poolside, they bring an amazing meat and/or seafood set complete with a bubbling hotpot so you can cook your morsels to perfection. 

OZO Phuket also offer a beach BBQ experience. They provide a basket full of tasty treats, a picnic mat, and a BBQ pot with coals. The BBQ food normally includes seafood and some meats along with some super tasty local sauces. Sit back and relax with a stunning view whilst enjoying the smell of BBQ food cooking – that’s what I call sheer bliss. 

Is OZO Phuket hygienic and covid-safe? 

Any SHA business in Thailand must have at least 70% of the staff vaccinated. As a member of the ONYX hospitality group, OZO Phuket also follows many protocols, standards and guidelines to ensure that their resorts are clean, hygienic and covid safe. 

• The OZO Phuket have hygiene stations with hand sanitisers located around the resort and especially in locations where the risk of contact transmission is high (e.g. elevators)
• They have several non-contact temperature stations around the hotel, especially at locations where a large number of guest are passing through on a regular basis
• They have a range of measures to encourage and assist guests and staff social distancing (e.g. spaced out seating in the restaurant and around the pool)
• Rooms are cleaned and sealed to show that the standards of cleaning comply with the ONYX clean initiative.
