Cancel up to 48 hours before you sail and get a future cruise credit valid to book by april 30, 2022 and sail by september 30, 2022. for cruises booked on or before july 31st, 2021., concerned about traveling looking for flexibility in your plans.

As of May 6, 2020, our enhanced Cruise with Confidence program gives you even more flexibility.

Whether you’re already booked on a cruise, or are thinking about it, we want you to Cruise with Confidence. That’s why Royal Caribbean will let you cancel any cruise that sets sail from now through April 30th, 2022. Whether it’s a booking you already have or one you make right now through July 31st, 2021, you’re covered. As long as you cancel at least 48 hours before your sail date, you’ll receive a Future Cruise Credit. The credit is valid to book by April 30th, 2022 and sail by September 30th, 2022.

As of May 6th, 2020 we have also added the new “Best Price Guarantee” option outlined below.

•  Best Price Guarantee  -Spot a better price on your booked cruise? Our Best Price Guarantee lets you take advantage of a better price up to 48 hours before your sail date — just give us a call. You’ll receive the difference as a non-refundable onboard credit inside final payment or rate adjustment outside final payment.

What you need to know

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q :  What is the Cruise with Confidence policy? A :   As of May 6th, 2020, we have enhanced and expanded our Cruise with Confidence policy to give you even more peace of mind. The new Cruise with Confidence policy allows our guests that booked their cruise on or before July 31st, 2021, to cancel any cruise departing on-or-before April 30th, 2022, up to 48 hours before your sail date and receive a Future Cruise Credit. The credit can be used toward any cruise that sets sail through September 30th, 2022.

Q :  Do all sailings qualify for “Cruise with Confidence”? A :   Cruise with Confidence covers cruises booked on or before July 31st, 2021, that set sail on or before April 30th, 2022.

Q :  How long will I have to redeem my Future Cruise Credit? A :   Cruise with Confidence Future Cruise Credits expire April 30, 2022. You must redeem the FCC for a cruise that departs on or before September 30, 2022.

Q :  How do I cancel or move my cruise? A :  If you booked with a Travel Advisor, please contact them for assistance with your cancellation. If you booked directly with us, please give us a call or email us at [email protected]. Remember, you or your Travel Advisor must notify us of your cancellation at least 72 hours before the day you set sail. We appreciate your patience as call volume may be higher than normal.

Q :  What happens if there’s a difference in cruise fare between the Future Cruise Credit I receive, and the cruise that I would like to book next? A :  If the cruise fare on your new booking exceeds the Future Cruise Credit’s value, you will have to pay the difference. Alternatively, if the new cruise fare is lower than the Future Cruise Credit’s value, a new Future Cruise Credit will be issued for the remaining balance.  

Q :  Are Future Cruise Credits interchangeable between Royal Caribbean’s family of brands? A :  No, you’ll have to apply your Future Cruise Credit to a future cruise onboard Royal Caribbean International.

Q :  Do standard Final Payment timelines still apply during this timeframe? A :  Yes, full payment is still required at 75 days-to-sailing for departures 1-4 nights in length and 90 days-to-sailing for 5+ nights.  

Q :  How are Non-Refundable Deposit bookings impacted by this policy update? A :  Non-Refundable Deposits that were booked on or before July 31st, 2021 and are sailing on-or-before April 30th, 2022 are eligible for the Cruise with Confidence Policy and follow the same guidelines. Prior to the Final Payment deadline, guests with a Non-Refundable Deposit bookings that wish to change to a different ship or sail date can do so with no fee assessed prior to July 31st, 2021 – the change fee will be waived.

Q :   If I move forward with the Best Price Guarantee, and I am issued onboard credit, when will I get it? A :   The Best Price Guarantee program allows guests to take advantage of better rates up to 48 hours prior to sail date! Guests must be booked on or before July 31st, 2021 for sailings that depart on or before April 30th, 2022 and they can request the difference of their booked rates versus any rate reduction. The difference in pricing will be added to the booking as an onboard credit, inside final payment, and it’ll be applied within 14 business days, and a new confirmation will be generated with the Onboard Credit value.

Q :  Upon cancellation, will I be credited for any pre-cruise purchases, such as beverage packages, shore excursions, etc.? A :  Yes, pre-cruise purchase will be refunded to the original form of payment.  

Q : When it comes to the Cruise with Confidence notification window, what exactly is “up to 72 hours before” ? A :  Due to immigration requirements, Royal Caribbean needs a full 72 hours to process your cancellation before your day of departure. Here are day-by-day scenarios below, to help you understand exact timing. It may seem technical, but we’re trying to give you as much time to make your decision as we can. For any additional concerns regarding our Cruise with Confidence cancellation policy, please feel free to contact us at any time before your cruise.

(a) before the final payment due date of the booking (the“Final Payment due date”), if the guest paid a non-refundable deposit (“NRD”) to RCI on the booking, the guest will receive an FCC equal to the amount of the NRD paid. RCI will refund any other payments it received toward the guest’s cruise fare.

(b) after the Final Payment due date, the guest will receive a CWC FCC equal to 100% of the cruise fare paid to RCI.

That’s why Royal Caribbean will let you cancel any cruise that sets sail from now through April 30th, 2022. Whether it’s a booking you already have or one you make right now through December 17, 2021, you’re covered. As long as you cancel at least 48 hours before your sail date, you’ll receive a Future Cruise Credit. The credit is valid to book by April 30th, 2022 and sail by September 30th, 2022.

Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions : Royal Caribbean International’s (“RCI”) “Cruise with Confidence” program provides individual guests and guests in non-contracted groups who booked a cruise on or before December 17, 2021, on sailings between June 12, 2020 and April 30, 2022 with the option to either: (i) cancel their cruise reservation up to 48 hours prior to the vacation start date and elect to receive a Future Cruise Credit under the Cruise with Confidence program (a “CWC FCC”) equal to the amount of the cruise fare the guest paid to RCI for their cruise, or (ii) opt in for our Cruise with Confidence “best price guarantee” on their current sailing up to 48 hours prior to the vacation start date. If the guest cancels an eligible booking before the 48-hour cut-off and elects to receive a CWC FCC: (a) before the final payment due date of the booking (the“Final Payment due date”), if the guest paid a non-refundable deposit (“NRD”) to RCI on the booking, the guest will receive an FCC equal to the amount of the NRD paid. RCI will refund any other payments it received toward the guest’s cruise fare. (b) after the Final Payment due date, the guest will receive a CWC FCC equal to 100% of the cruise fare paid to RCI. “Vacation start date” means the date of the earlier of: (i) the scheduled embarkation of the cruise; or (ii) any pre-cruise hotel stay or Cruisetour package associated with the cruise and booked through RCI. “Cruise with Confidence” is a voluntary program designed to provide guests with different options and additional flexibility when booking a cruise. If a guest does not opt-in to receive a CWC FCC, the cancellation policy tied to the guest’s reservation at booking will continue to apply. However, if a guest opts-in to receive a CWC FCC at a time when the booking is subject to cancellation charges that would otherwise have been less than 100% of total cruise fare, by opting in to receive a CWC FCC, the guest agrees to become immediately subject to cancellation charges equal to 100% of the cruise fare paid to RCI. By requesting a CWC FCC, the guest has cancelled his or her reservation and waives any right to receive any refund of the cruise fare paid, even if the sailing is later canceled (note: depending on when the guest cancelled, an exception may apply for cancelled cruises originally scheduled to embark after October 31, 2020). If a guest elects to receive a CWC FCC, or otherwise cancels his or her reservation, cancellation charges incurred by the guest on the reservation will not be waived or refunded for any reason, except as otherwise provided herein or required by applicable law. The Future Cruise Credit offered under the “Cruise with Confidence” program is available only to bookings for named guests for which cruise fare deposits have been paid. The CWC FCC is non-transferrable, non-refundable and may not be redeemed for cash. The CWC FCC’s value may be applied on or before April 30, 2022 only toward the cruise fare due on a new booking or to satisfy the remaining cruise fare balance due for an existing booking, on RCI, for a sailing scheduled to depart on or before September 30, 2022. If not used on or before April 30, 2022, the CWC FCC will automatically expire and have no value. The CWC FCCs cannot be used to obtain a refund. All bookings are subject to availability at the time of the request. Restrictions may apply on stateroom category and applicable pricing and promotions. Guest will remain responsible for paying the applicable deposit amounts, the difference in the cruise fare on the booking if it exceeds the value of the CWC FCC, taxes/fees, port expenses and gratuities (if applicable) for the booking. RCI’s “Cruise with Confidence” program is not available to bookings made after May 31, 2021. Program is not available to guests booked on chartered sailings or in contracted groups and CWC FCCs may not be used on the same. RCI reserves the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions at any time without prior notice or liability. Offer can be withdrawn or modified at any time without notice.

Royal caribbean group extends cruise with confidence program.

MIAMI, November 19, 2020 -Royal Caribbean Group (NYSE: RCL) is extending its “Cruise with Confidence” program.

For all bookings created by January 31, 2021, guests have the flexibility to cancel their cruise up to 48 hours prior to sailing and receive a full credit of the cruise fare paid for a future cruise through April 2022 and May 4, 2022 for Celebrity Cruises. The cruise company will also continue to offer their “Best Price Guarantee” and “Lift and Shift.”

  • “Best Price Guarantee”:  Guests can choose to change the price and promotional offer on their reservation up to 48 hours before their cruise.
  • “Lift and Shift”:  This option is ideal for those guests wishing to move their vacation plans to next year. Eligible between now and January 31, 2021, guests can protect their original cruise fare and promotional offering by shifting to a future sailing on the same itinerary type, sailing length, stateroom category, and within the same 4-week period of their original cruise date same-time-next-year. Bookings for 2021 sail dates may shift to 2022 only on current deployment open through April 30, 2022 (May 4, 2022 for Celebrity).

In addition to easing concerns of booked guests, the policy enhances consumer confidence to schedule new bookings, knowing last-minute travel adjustments are allowed.

“We want our guests to feel they can safely keep their existing cruise bookings or schedule new sailings, because this policy gives them more freedom and flexibility,” says Royal Caribbean Group chairman and CEO Richard Fain.

The program applies to all cruises with sailing dates on or before April 2022 and across the company’s global brands: Royal Caribbean International, and Azamara. For Celebrity Cruises, the extension applies to sailings before May 4, 2020. Royal caribbean cruises ltd. enhances cruise with confidence policy.

On March 6th, 2020 Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd launched a new policy allowing guests flexibility in booking their cruise holidays. The original policy allowed guests sailing through 31 July 2020, up to 48 hours prior to sailing, to reschedule or cancel their cruise in exchange for Future Cruise Credit. On March 30th the policy was extended to sailings through 1 September 2020.

As of 6 May we have launched an enhanced programme with additional features as outlined below for all existing sailings, as well as new sailings booked by August 1st, on all voyages through April 30, 2022 for Royal Caribbean & Azamara and May 4, 2022 for Celebrity Cruises.

Flexibility: Guests may cancel or change their cruise up to 48 hours prior to sailing.

  • Guests will receive a 100% Future Cruise Credit (FCC) for their cruise fare paid

Lift and Shift: Guests wanting to book the same cruise one year from original sailing, can move with the original promotion booked

  • We will protect their original price/promotion when selecting an alternative sailing of the same itinerary type, cruise length and stateroom category within 4 weeks of the original sailing date. (Same ship class for Celebrity Cruises sailings only)
  • The decision to reschedule a booking for same time next year can only be made once and must be actioned by August 1st
  • If shifting within a penalty period, penalties will move with the booking. If the booking is cancelled at a later date original penalty amounts will apply.
  • Only guests originally booked on a Holiday sailing may move to a Holiday sailing the following year. (not applicable to Azamara sailings)

Best Offer Guarantee: Guests may change their price and/or promotion up to 48 hours prior to cruise.

  • Please call the relevant brand to request a change of price or promotion.
  • Guest may change their offer as many times as desired up to 48 hours before sailing.
  • For bookings within final payment, any amounts owed will be refunded in the form of nonrefundable Onboard Credit, for bookings outside of final payment, any amounts owed will be refunded to the original form of cruise fare payment.

Other important information

  • All existing bookings and new bookings made by August 1st will qualify for the Best Offer Guarantee and the ability to cancel in exchange for a Future Cruise Credit, 48 Hours Prior to Sailing.
  • For guests who have booked refundable airfare through one of our brands and wish to modify their sailing date, we will handle all re-accommodations and waive change fees.
  • Bookings made with FCCs from suspended sailings will also benefit from the new Cruise With Confidence policy.
  • All FCCs issued under the new Cruise with Confidence policy must be redeemed by 31 December 2021 on sailings departing on or before April 30, 2022 for Royal Caribbean & Azamara and May 4, 2022 for Celebrity Cruises.
