Safari Gold Megaways

Get ready for the second roar of the mighty lion on the slot from Blueprint Gaming. Safari Gold Megaways is the reskinned version of the exclusive LeoVegas Megaways , taking the game beyond the casino lobby of LeoVegas. While the visuals have gone through a thorough makeover, the slot comes with the same features – reactive wins, cascading reels, two Bonus Bet options and a free spins round with unlimited progressive multipliers that can lead to wins of up to 50,000 times your stake or 250,000 credits, whichever is hit first.

Slot Details

Safari Gold Megaways is a video slot with six reels, up to seven rows and up to 117,649 ways to win. The number of ways from 324 to the maximum is randomly determined for every spin by selecting between two and seven pay symbols for reels one and six as well as two to six pay symbols for reels two to five. Plus, the extra reel at the top of the game window with four positions, extending from reel two to five, will spin more symbols appear in every round.

Wins are then paid for adjacent symbols from left to right. The symbols from a winning combination are part of a reaction which will see them explode to make room for new symbols to cascade into place. This will continue as long as a new winning combination occurs after a reaction allowing you to win repeatedly in a single spin. Wins are accumulated from all cascades and credited before the next spin sequence starts.

Go on a safari on desktop or mobile from 0.20 to 10.00 credits per spin. The RTP of this medium to high variance game is set at 96.50%. It increases to 97% when you use either of the two bonus bet options.

The visuals are what you can expect from a safari-themed slot. In the background is a scene of the African savannah immersed in the typical fire colours of a sunset. Some prominent savannah creatures and beasts dominate the reels of the giant game window which in itself is flanked by the lion spin button and the bonus buy icon.

The pay symbols start at the low end with the usual card royals from 9 through to A, awarding the well-known 0.8x to 1.75x your bet for a single six of a kind. They are followed by elephants, cheetah, water buffalos and the majestic lion. Hit six across the reels to win 2x to 50x your stake. A sunset scene with Acacia trees is the wild symbol, substituting for all regular pay symbols while a diamond and intricate golden icon act as the scatter and the mystery symbol respectively.

Safari Gold Megaways Slot Features

Having extensively played the original, we did not expect any surprises on the reskinned version. It comes with Blueprint’s signature feature, the Mystery Symbol , which can appear in the base game and free spins. All landing in view on a spin will reveal a common pay symbol except scatters once the reels have stopped.

Hit minimum four scatters anywhere on the reels within one spin sequence to trigger the Bonus Wheel . It will appear from the top with two rings, the outer ring displaying the starting multiplier while the inner ring will award a random number of free spins .

You’ll have one spin on the wheel to determine what you will get for your bonus round. Additional scatters on the triggering spin will increase the maximum numbers on the wheel.

  • 4-scatter trigger: 5 to 15 free spins with starting multiplier from x1 to x10
  • 5-scatter trigger: 5 to 20 free spins with starting multiplier from x1 to x10
  • 6-scatter trigger: 5 to 25 free spins with starting multiplier from x1 to x10
  • 7-scatter trigger: 5 to 30 free spins with starting multiplier from x1 to x10

The game will now start the bonus round with the number of free spins and starting multiplier from the wheel. During the feature, scatters appear in the horizontal reel only. Three or four on a spin will award +5 and +10 free spins respectively. The main attraction though in the free spins is the unlimited multiplier. It will increase by x1 after every winning reaction, no limits. Plus, the mystery symbol can land on any free spin.

For those impatient between us, there is a Bonus Bet option where you can get direct access to the bonus round for a single bet amount. Hitting the button on the left of the game will present you with two choices.

  • Megaways Wheel – 20x your stake | RTP – 97%: You get one spin on the Megaways Wheel for 3 to 10 free spins and a minimum number of ways to win. There are no multipliers in play during the feature but having a few free spins with a high amount of ways can lead to substantial wins.
  • Bonus Buy – 100x your stake | RTP – 97%: You get one spin on the standard Bonus Wheel as if it was triggered with four scatters. On offer are 5 to 15 free spins and a starting multiplier from x1 to x10. The round is played with the progressive multiplier, increasing by x1 for each winning reaction.

Final Verdict

Well, there you go, non-LeoVegas players (and there are many out there since the casino has a long list of restricted countries) can now enjoy a lion of their own. Expect the same solid Megaways action as on the original, although not much new stuff is on offer other than the options for the Bonus Wheel. Safari Gold Megaways will surely though finds its place in an ever-growing list of Megaways slots, even for just the Bonus Buy option as buying the feature seems to be the latest trend.

Stopped in for a date night and had a blast! This is without a doubt one of the best mini golf locations we have been to in a long time. The courses were very well maintained with tons of landscaping giving you that real Safari vibe which we absolutely loved. Pricing was not bad and they have a full arcade with fresh ice cream which is a huge plus for the kiddos considering you will not have to stop for ice cream at another location after. We loved the dedication they put into the mini golf courses with each course having a unique name dedicated to the safari theme paired with a unique "wheel spin" which essentially will add challenges and additional fun to your mini golf experience (for example "play this hole with your left hand") this really added additional fun to something that is already a blast and it's a unique future I've never seen before.

On a week vacation we went here twice! Thank you staff for creating a fun spot for families! We enjoyed the creative atmosphere, friendly staff, butterflies, parrots, feeding the turtles and fish...good job team!

Very friendly staff, Emroc was very helpful discussing our future party we will have here. Mini golf was enjoyable and not too hard, even the kids were getting holes in one which was a lot of fun for them. Then we hit the arcade for a bit. Emroc was fast to help when tickets ran out on any machine.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! Chick, the owner, is one of the nicest people I have ever met! We threw a bachelorette party there and it was the most fun. Everyone is so accommodating and you feel like family! Also the courses are so fun and creative. If you need a party vendor call up Chick and have it at Safari Golf and Games!

The one thing they forget to teach people is how to make a business decision. I drove about an hour seeing it was the closest outdoor batting cage to me. They explain to me that the softball machine sort of works, I would have to load and unload the machine, then I would have to run around and turn the power off as well as turn the power on. Which I didn't mind at all and then the young girl says would you like a half hour or an hour and I said a half hour, and attempts to charge me $30. So I ask if I'm doing all the work is there no discount that applies. She looks sort of dumbfounded that I asked that. So if I'm gonna normally pay $30 and let the machine work properly why should I pay the same $30 and have to do all this work? Needless to say I left so rather than making 10 or $15 they made absolutely nothing from me. And sadly is going to lose business now from this review possibly. Business one oh one to owners, teach your employees how to make business decisions.

A little pricey for a roadside mini-golf. Will charge you to go with the kids if you don't golf. A little "worn" and ordinary.

Photo of Andrea A.

Nostalgic, all wood, old-school arcade. Very clean and friendly management. A talking parrot will greet you at the door. After a round of minigolf or a few plays in the arcade, you can pick from 20 flavors of ice cream. A very good rainy day activity for kids and parents alike!

Mini golf here was great! The owner was so nice and welcoming. A few of the holes are silly hard but a ton of fun if you like mini golf.

Fun for the whole family- we ventured on one of the two mini golf courses, fed the turtles and Koi.. and arcade games for the win. This place has it all. Was clean and super friendly. Bonus perk- 2 parrots great you at the door to say hello.

Photo of Patti M.

Delicious ice cream, an adorable macaw named Rainbow, old school arcade, and fun mini golf makes this a place worth the stop in a town where there is very little for young people to do. We enjoyed chatting with the owner who was very nice and attentive to customers.

Safari Zone

safari gold game

A Safari Zone (Japanese: サファリゾーン Safari Zone ) is a special Pokémon preserve where Trainers can enter and participate in the Safari Game (Japanese: サファリゲーム Safari Game ) to catch rare wild Pokémon .

Safari Zones can be found in the following regions :

  • The Safari Zone in Kanto , located north of Fuchsia City .
  • The Safari Zone in Johto , located north of Route 48 beyond the Safari Zone Gate in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver .
  • The Safari Zone in Hoenn , located north of Route 121 .
  • The Great Marsh in Sinnoh , located north of Pastoria City .

  • 1.2 Similar examples

In the games

safari gold game

The mechanics of the Safari Zones are similar to each other. Most have a $ 500 entry fee, a step limit, a series of distinct areas with different wild Pokémon in each, and 30 Safari Balls , with which players may catch the Pokémon they come upon. The most important of their specific mechanics, however, is that Trainers do not initiate Pokémon battles with the wild Pokémon, but instead must catch them without battling them. The wild Pokémon within Safari Zones are capable of fleeing at any given time.

Differences between games

  • The Johto Safari Zone has no step limit.
  • In Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire , the Hoenn Safari Zone does not use typical Safari Zone mechanics, instead functioning like normal routes .
  • Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! effectively do not have a Safari Zone; the area that used to be the Safari Zone is replaced with GO Park , while the zoo area in front is referred to as the "Safari Zone" instead.

Similar examples

  • Johto 's National Park is somewhat similar to a Safari Zone, being a nature preserve for Pokémon and having a thrice-weekly Bug-Catching Contest which shares several aspects with a Safari Game.
  • Kalos 's Friend Safari area, located in Kiloude City , also bears some similarities with Safari Zones, differing in the available wild Pokémon (which are dependent on the Nintendo 3DS Friend Codes of other players) as well as allowing Poké Balls of any variety as opposed to solely Safari Balls.
  • The Pal Park in all Generation IV games bears some superficial similarities to a Safari Zone, being a special area where only a specific type of Poké Ball can be used, featuring possible Pokémon species that otherwise cannot be found, and where the player cannot battle the Pokémon found there. Additionally, in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver , the Pal Park is placed in Fuchsia City where it replaces the Safari Zone.
  • In Hisui , the Safari Zone was not yet established, but the main gameplay of Pokémon Legends: Arceus is similar to the Safari Zone.

Unova , Alola , Galar , Paldea , and Kitakami have neither a Safari Zone nor anything similar to or resembling a Safari Zone.

  • In the Generation II games, there is some data for a beta Safari Zone in Fuchsia City , but it was ultimately unused.

What was worth noting in Notre Dame football spring game?

safari gold game

Five quick thoughts on the Notre Dame football spring game Saturday while watching the Blue beat the Gold, 28-21, on Peacock...

More: Notre Dame breaks ground on new football operations hall to replace 'The Gug'

☘ Can’t see a spring game anywhere without mentioning the quarterback because everything begins with the quarterback. Steve Angeli, C.J. Carr and Kenny Minchey all had moments Saturday. Moving forward, we must see Riley Leonard do more than take mental/shadow reps.

Head coach Marcus Freeman told Peacock that if the Irish played a real game Saturday, Leonard would be good to go despite right ankle (cleanup) surgery earlier this spring. This is expected to be Leonard’s show. Time for him to show it and run it.

Noie: Why two-sport guy Drayk Bowen is such a key guy this fall for Notre Dame football at MLB

☘ Junior tight end Eli Raridon needed a first half like he had Saturday.

Raridon, who has twice undergone and recovered from knee surgeries, caught five passes for 41 yards and a touchdown. He made that scoring play after juggling an Angeli pass once, then twice, then securing the ball and getting up the field for a 21-yard score late in the first half.

Raridon was held back from much work in many of the first half of spring segments seen by media. He’s got a chance to be special. Maybe we’re starting to see that. It was no secret that Angeli looked often for Raridon and wideout Deion Colzie – two veterans who he knew would make a few plays. Both did.

☘ Other guys who flashed (however briefly): middle linebackers Drayk Bowen and Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa, wide receiver Micah Gilbert, running back Gi’Bran Payne, linebacker Kahanu Kia, defensive tackle Jason Onye, safeties Adon Shuler and Luke Talich and running back Aneyas Williams.

☘ Fitting that the annual spring game was held on 4/20 (no, not for THAT reason). In exactly four months from the day – on Dec. 20 – college football goes in a different/new/exciting/overdue direction with the first round of playoffs in its new 12-team championship chase format.

Playoffs on campus.

Will Notre Dame host a first-round game? Will there be snow on the Notre Dame Stadium field. Will out-of-town Irish faithful be willing to spend truckloads of money for an area hotel room?

This Irish team has playoff potential written all over it. Time to reach it. Exceed it. Eight months from Saturday, we’ll know if the Irish did any/all of that.

☘ Saturday’s game ends spring practice for Notre Dame, but likely won’t news around the program. Thank the transfer portal for that. A year ago, quarterback Tyler Buchner, running back Logan Diggs, wide receiver Lorenzo Styles and linebacker Prince Kollie all left post-spring.

There may not be that much movement this spring, but there will be movement. Somebody’s going to leave because someone always leaves. That’s college football today.

Notre Dame Blue-Gold Post-Game Analysis: Offense

Thoughts and analysis of the Notre Dame offense from the Blue-Gold Game

  • Author: Bryan Driskell
  • Publish date: Apr 20, 2024

In this story:

The Notre Dame Blue-Gold Game ended with the Blue winning by a 28-21 score. Here are my thoughts and analysis of the performance by the offense.

*** The offense did some really good things in the game. We saw the offensive line for both teams get really good movement, they pushed the tempo at times and all three quarterbacks led scoring drives in the first half. In fact, all three quarterbacks led at least two scoring drives.

*** It was an up-and-down first-half performance for Steve Angeli , but he finished well. Angeli was locked in on his first read too often, so even on completions he would take the short gains (or no gains) instead of pushing the ball down the field. This was an issue in the Jersey Scrimmage as well, where Angeli was unwilling to really push the ball down the field.

*** He did a really nice job on the touchdown pass to Eli Raridon by seeing the seam route come open. If Angeli waits at all on the play the backside safety squeezes on the route, but he got it out quickly and it resulted in a touchdown. Angeli missed Raridon earlier on a seam throw but he was hit as he threw it, which caused the off target throw.

*** After a rough start to the second half, Angeli showed good poise on a 4th-and-6 read and the next play, which converted the fourth down and then hit Jack Larsen to get into the red zone.

*** Kenny Minchey had a rough first half as a passer, but he was very active as a runner. Minchey threw a really good curl route to Micah Gilbert on a third-down but the ball was dropped. He didn't have much open down the field, but Minchey was also a bit off target on downfield throws, and he made a poor decision forcing the Y Option route that was intercepted.

*** Minchey also settled in as the game wore on. He made a great read of a defensive mistake on a post-snap switch concept and hit KK Smith for a 38-yard gain. On the very next threw he threw a perfect fade route to Micah Gilbert for a touchdown. His stats went from really rough to impressive on those two throws, and it showed the kind of arm talent he possesses.

*** CJ Carr once again did the best job of the quarterbacks in going through his reads and being able to hit his second or third options. Carr shows really good poise in the pocket and a willingness to get the ball out when he knows he's going to get hit. His one "bad read" was actually the proper read but he was late getting it out. That was the seam throw to Jaden Greathouse that got broken up. Outside of that, Carr's timing as a thrower was really impressive for a rookie.

*** We didn't see Carr again until the fourth quarter, and by that point he started to press a bit. That caused him to be slightly off target on a slide throw and stare downfield as he looked for a big play instead of taking the open cross route. He bounced back on the drive and threw a gorgeous out to KK Smith to convert a third-down. Carr putting some zip on the touchdown pass to Gilbert shows his elite feel for the game at his age.

*** Running back Jeremiyah Love showed a really good combination of patience and explosiveness as a runner. Mike Denbrock did plenty to get Love the ball in different ways, which is a precursor to what we'll likely see in the fall. He showed his playmaking ability on the 18-yard outside zone run that moved the chains, and him turning a short 3rd-and-11 throw into a 32-yard gain.

*** Freshman running back Aneyas Williams had a really strong performance that was even better than his numbers show. He showed good patience waiting on blocks to set up, but he ran with authority as well. Williams made several defenders miss near the line, which allowed him to maximize the yards that were there. His foot quickness also helped him perform at a high level.

*** Gi'Bran Payne had a good first half for the Gold offense, showing really good lower body strength as a runner. He forced a couple of reads early, but he was hard to bring down and moved the chains effectively. His second half fumble was a key moment in the second half.

*** Senior receiver Deion Colzie had a strong performance. He got open even more than his numbers showed, but the ball didn't always come his way. Colzie ran with purpose as a route runner and he made tough catches in traffic.

*** Freshman Micah Gilbert had a bad drop in the first half but he had a very good second half, twice beating a cornerback on a go-route for a touchdown. The first he caught from Minchey and the second he caught from Carr. KK Smith had some good moments down the field, but he missed a couple of chances late to make key plays, including a fourth-down slant throw from Carr. Overall it was a solid performance from both young receivers.

*** Jaden Greathouse was open a lot more than you'd think based on his numbers, but he rarely got targeted early in the game. To the point where Greathouse visibly - and understandably - frustrated in the first half. He had a drop in the third quarter, but that seemed to spark him, and he made several plays after that once he finally got targeted.

*** Eli Raridon was the most impressive of the tight ends. The junior was good in the run game on the edge, and he was open multiple times down the field in the pass game. His numbers would have been even better if Angeli wasn't pressured on an early seam throw. Cooper Flanagan was solid in the game, but he wasn't as consistent as a route runner and he had a key drop in the second half.

*** Left guard Rocco Spindler had an outstanding performance from what I could tell. He was dominant in the run game, both in combo blocks with Charles Jagusah and as base blocker. He destroyed Donovan Hinish on the touchdown run by Love. I'll need to re-watch the game to see each play, but he was solid in pass pro when I saw him as well.

*** Jagusah was much more up-and-down in the pass game. He was very good in the run game, but the speed rushes of RJ Oben and Boubacar Traore gave him some problems at times.

*** Sullivan Absher had a game similar to Jagusah. He had some issues with speed in pass pro but he got very good movement in the run game.

Safari users are in for some good news, as Apple claims that users of its web browser can expect significantly better performance from the browser and its WebKit browser engine (which is primarily used in Safari).

The news was shared by Apple in an official WebKit blog post, following its announcement of Speedometer 3.0 , the latest iteration of Apple’s browser benchmark made in collaboration with other browser engine developers. It explains that the introduction of Speedometer 3.0 will usher in an era of faster web use in general, allowing web developers to make web apps and websites unlike those seen before, and Apple itself will be making sure that Safari and WebKit take advantage of the new technology.

According to 9to5Mac , the way that Speedometer 3.0 captures information and calculates scores will allow for more detailed findings and give web developers new capabilities.

Putting the pedal to the medal

The website explains that the various optimizations that were carried out on Safari saw its Speedometer score increase by about 60% between Safari version 17.0 and version 17.4 . It concludes by predicting that this will lead to improved Safari performance, enabling developers to build websites and web apps that are “more responsive and snappier than ever.”

Companies such as Google, Intel , Microsoft , and Mozilla collaborated with Apple to create an improved shared user experience. Apple says this is to make sure browser testing is fair to whatever browser is subjected to it. It also means that the work involved in creating the new benchmarks didn’t fall on a single company.

This is promising messaging from Apple and in an almost out-of-character collaborative spirit. Developers who work on optimizing browser engines, as well as independent browser testers and reviewers, found the previous iteration of the Speedometer benchmark a useful tool in their work. Apple further claims that Speedometer 3.0 will improve upon this with improved testing accuracy and will enable the performance testing of a wide variety of contents.

Kudos to the Safari team for its collaborative endeavors

On a tangentially related note, competing browser developers are effectively forced to use Apple’s own WebKit browser engine for their browsers if they want their browsers to be in the App Store, except for regions where the law has forced them to allow browser engine developers to use whatever engines they prefer (such as the EU). If they’re not giving browser developers much of a choice in certain regions, it’s at least a positive note that they’re working to make WebKit the best browser engine it can be when developers have to use it.

I commend Apple for this effort and development, and I think it will mean a better browser experience both for Safari users and users of other browsers. While Apple can sometimes appear to be aloof and uncooperative, developments like this by its Safari team show that it’s fully capable of the opposite, so hopefully, it will continue to do this more often when it’s clear that there are potential user benefits for everyone - not just its customers.
