Traveling the world while getting paid for it may just be the ultimate dream job for travel enthusiasts. Travel critics provide valuable information on destinations, hotels, restaurants, natural wonders and attractions to travelers who may be unfamiliar with an area or looking for more in-depth information about traveling. While travel writing once was limited to books and magazines, the Internet now serves as an important source for travel information, critiques and reviews, and can be a good place for a new travel writer to gain experience.

Develop Your Writing Skills

Strengthen your writing skills. If you don’t have a background in writing, take general writing courses at a local community college, university or online university. Look for travel writing classes, in addition to general writing courses. Read books and articles about travel and travel writing.

Invest in a Digital Camera

Some publications and Internet sites may require you to submit photographs with your reviews or articles and you may even need to verify that you own a camera to get some travel review jobs . The Matador Network suggests that you buy a small digital camera, noting that larger cameras are heavy to carry and may be more intrusive when you take candid photographs.

Create a Portfolio

Create samples of your travel writing. The market for travel and hotel critic jobs is extremely competitive, so you must be prepared to show editors and publishers samples of your work. Start a travel blog or write an account of a recent trip if you need work samples.

Make sure your samples are informative and contain no grammar or spelling errors before you submit them to a publisher or website. Ask a friend or relative to review your samples. Explain that a good travel article must immediately capture the reader’s interest. Seek Out Pitching Opportunities

Send query letters or emails to publications and websites for which you would like to write. Describe your writing and travel background and propose an article idea in the letter. Chose article ideas that fit the tone of the publication, but be sure to suggest topics that the publication hasn’t covered recently.

Write your first article after you’ve been approved to write for a publication or website. Carefully study the publication’s editorial guidelines and style guide before writing your article. As you gain more experience, you may also be able to seek outright commissions from travel editors who are familiar with your work.

Don’t forget that you are writing the article for the editor of the publication or website. These are the best jobs for people who love to travel. Do you love to travel but don’t own a money tree? I feel you. When I first travelled overseas I transformed myself into a money-saving machine.

No exaggeration, I was about as close as one could be to a human coin detector. I’d sift through the pockets of my parent’s jeans, search underneath the couch for loose change and celebrate small wins with a victory dance on the way to my piggy bank (I seriously had an actual piggy bank in the shape of a pig, too).

But over the years I grew tired of saving for an entire year, only to enjoy myself for a few weeks of the year abroad. So I started a travel blog in the hopes that one day in some distant world I could make a career out of travel writing. It happened just a few months later. But there are many other ways to make money while  you travel. Here are 20 of the best jobs for people who love to travel:

It just so happens that English-speakers hold one of the most sought after skills in the world: speaking English. It may seem simple, but it’s one of your best traits. Jobs are in abundance, however, you may require a certification . Thankfully, that can be attained with ease in around a month!

Another popular choice for travellers is to take a seasonal job as a surf or ski instructor. What is There to See in Central Russia? 

• Moscow is Russia’s capital and its political center. Moscow and the Central region with 10 million inhabitants are the country’s most populated and developed area.
• The Moscow region has lots of wonderful churches and also boasts Russia’s famous birch tree landscape. The group of ancient Russian towns that surround the city in a circular pattern is known as the Golden Ring.
• Sergiev Posad is home to the St. Trinity Sergeius Lavra, a monastery that has become the center of Russian orthodoxy.
• Rostov is the oldest town in North-Eastern Russia and was founded in 862. It is mostly renowned for its splendid architecture.
• The biggest city along the route is Yaroslavl . Nowadays, it plays an important role in industry and culture, but it also offers beautiful architecture, churches, monasteries, parks and mansions.
• The most important features of Suzdal are the Kremlin encompassing the historical center of town and the museum of wooden architecture and peasant life.
• Vladimir used to be the most important town of the Rus’. Today it is home to over 325,000 people and also serves as the administrative center of the area.

Moscow is the center of this region. It was founded in 1147 on Borovitsky hill and is mentioned for the first time in the Ipat'evskaya chronicle. In this long and fascinating chronicle, there is a story in which Yuri Dolgoruky (Yuri the long-armed) invites Duke Svyatoslav to "Come to me … in Moskov…" The modern name Moscow finally stuck only in the 14th century. In the first half of 13th century Moscow gradually became the cultural and political center of the Russian people, however in the winter of 1237-1238 it was sacked and ruined by Mongol-Tatar tribes. Those damn Mongol-Tartars were always messing things up! Luckily, it soon recovered and became a center of a separate principality. In 1326, the residence of the leaders of the Russian Orthodox Church was moved from Vladimir to Moscow. At this time, the city became the political and spiritual center of Rus (a Nordic word meaning "the Russian Nation"). In 1712, Peter the Great moved the capital to St. Petersburg, where it remained for two centuries (good for Peter - St. Petersburg is in fact a much nicer place than Moscow!). In March of 1918, Lenin moved the capital back to Moscow.

Moscow is situated on the delta of the Moskva river. Today, its population is approximately 10 million. The city is the residence of President Putin (but he is actually from St. Petersburg) and the Russian Government. Moscow and the Central region is currently the most developed area in the entire country. Moscow has an international airport and the majority of train journeys in Russia start from train stations in the city center.

The Moscow region

The region is situated in the center of the European part of Russia. This region is very Russian. It has all the marks of Russian Orthodoxy and the Russian character, even the language (dialect) differs from, let's say, the St. Petersburg area. Extremely beautiful, large, old, white churches are scattered throughout the land and the countryside abounds with Russia's legendary birch trees - the land is really inspiring! The climate is temperate continental. The average temperature in January is -10°C and in July +17°C. The Moscow region is a land of ancient towns and monasteries, century-old artistic traditions and buzzes with creative activity.

An interesting place to visit is the Novy Jerusalem Resurrection Monastery, which is situated in the town Istra. The Monastery was founded by the reformer of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Nikon (1605-1681) in 1658. Nikon's idea was to reconstruct the image of the Holy Land with the exact copy of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher on the bank of the Istra River near Moscow. The well-known architectural complex is included on the UNESCO list as a landmark of world culture.
