Get to know Dubai with the Wonder Bus

The Wonder bus Dubai departs from the Mercato Mall, a shopping mall built in Italian style, located near the Mercato beach. Before you go on board there's a picture taken first and then you board the impressive bus via a steep staircase. There's also a tour guide on board of the Wonder bus, who shows photos using a TV and tells you everything about Dubai. After leaving at the Mercato Mall, the bus goes in the direction of the historic part of Dubai.

With a splash into the water

In the historic part of Dubai, the Wonder Bus arrives at the busy Dubai creek. The bus stops for a little while so that everyone has time to have the camera at hand, because this is one of the most exciting moments of the tour. The Wonder bus drives into the Dubai creek with a big splash and sails away like a boat! On the Dubai creek you sail between the two city districts Bur Dubai and Deira. You will see dozens of abras (water taxis) around you, that bring groups of people from one side to the other side of the Creek. From the Wonder bus you have a view at the Old Souk, the historic district of Al Bastakiya and the Dubai museum. On the other side of the Creek you can see the Spice souk and the Gold souk and the historic Dhow ships, which ship goods to and from surrounding countries. You can make a Dhow cruise yourself, but you will have to come back later because you can not leave the Wonder Bus on the way. During the cruise you have every opportunity to take beautiful pictures from the Wonder Bus. After a long cruise on the Creek the Wonder bus turns around and sails back to the starting point, where the bus drives from the Creek up to the road again.

Grammy-winning saxophone player David Sanborn dies

(CNN) - Grammy award-winning saxophonist David Sanborn died Sunday at the age of 78.

Sanborn was an influential artist who found success in multiple genres, including pop, R&B and jazz.

He passed away after an extended battle with prostate cancer.

Despite first being diagnosed in 2018, he continued performing until recently.

Sanborn was born in Tampa, Florida, and grew up in Missouri.

He discovered the saxophone as part of his recovery after contracting polio at age three.

His career included performances and recordings with artists including Stevie Wonder, the Rolling Stones, David Bowie and Paul Simon, just to name a few.
