10 Best Zara Perfumes That Will Turn Heads Everywhere You Go
By Sara Delgado
For some time now, Zara perfumes have been taking over our algorithms and FYPs, and for good reason. The Spanish retailer is notorious for its fashion and accessories selections, but Zara fragrances have also seen an uptick in both quality and popularity this past year — meaning if they are not already on your radar, it's time for that to change.
Whether it's because of viral dupes or collaborations with famed perfumers like Jo Malone CBE , Zara perfumes seem to be everywhere, so picking out the bottles that are actually worth your time (and pennies) has become increasingly difficult. While affordable fragrances like Zara's are a great entryway into the world of perfumes, if you decide to pick up more than a couple of bottles, the prices can add up. Not to mention, the retailer's ever-growing selection can leave consumers perplexed. This is where this article comes in handy.
To spare your olfactory system of a trip to Zara, we have rounded up 10 of the best perfumes you can shop at Zara right now — whether you are looking for a light, everyday floral or a spicy fragrance to make your night outing unforgettable — and tested out their lasting power so you don't have to. Below, check out which 10 Zara perfumes will be guaranteed head-turners and why, according to a Teen Vogue editor.

Into The Floral Lilas Japonika (Christmas Edition)
Notes: Pear, Lilac Blossom, Sandalwood Strength: 6/10 Longevity: 8/10 Similar to: Michel French Pear & Queen's Lilac Now, this one is a special edition fragrance, so if it tickles your fancy, add it to your cart ASAP. In my opinion, Lilas Japonikas is perhaps one of the most interesting fragrances Zara has put out. It is light and airy, with just a hint of sweetness given the pear in its composition. It definitely falls into the everyday floral scent category, but it has a really nice sandalwood base that will make for a beautiful day-to-night transition. If I had to pack just one fragrance for a business trip, I'd probably make it this one since it's not too strong, but it lasts long on the skin (over seven hours for me). Also, the bottle is beautiful, which means it'd make for a great gift. Available sizes: 100 ml (3.4 fl oz) for $35.90
Splendid Bronze
Notes: Jasmine, Black Vanilla, Orchid Flower Strength: 7/10 Longevity: 7/10 Known dupe for: Mugler Alien Also similar to: Yves Saint Laurent Libre
Zara's Splendid Bronze is a very light gourmand since it is notably heavier on the jasmine than it is on vanilla. It's described as intense, but I have to digress. To me, this fragrance just smells fancy and grown. Despite being a vanilla fragrance, which can be hit or miss, the mix of florals (which also includes orange blossom, heliotrope, and orchid) dilutes the sweetness just enough to create a palatable profile that almost everyone will enjoy. Despite being part of the same minimal collection as Lilas Japonikas, this one fades just a tiny bit faster on my skin, though I still get a good six hours of the dry-down.
Available sizes: 30 ml (1.01 fl oz) for $17.90 , 100 ml (3.4 fl oz) for $35.90
Energetically New York
Notes: Sandal, Jasmine, Cardamom Strength: 9/10 Longevity: 8/10 Known dupe for: Le Labo Santal 33 Eau de Parfum Also similar to: Aesop Marrakech Intense , Tom Ford Noir Extreme
If you are a fan of Le Labo's Santal 33, chances are Energetically New York is already on your radar. Though the fragrances do share a sandal core, there are some key differences to take into account. While Santal 33 can smell almost leathery on the skin, Zara's Energetically New York is very heavy on cardamom, making it extra spicy and warm. Crafted by Jo Malone, this is one of Zara's more luxurious offerings when it comes to perfumes, and it lives up to the hype. The fragrance itself is unisex and mature, with great projection and lasting power. Though it lasts long on the skim, some notes do fade with time, making the cardamom top note even more noticeable. Cardamoms remind me of my mom, so this is not something I mind, but if you are not a fan of the tiny spice, you might want to look for your Santal 33 dupe elsewhere, as it is way more noticeable here than in the Le Labo composition.
Available sizes: 75 ml (2.54 fl oz) for $39.90
Perfume In Rose
Notes: White Musk, Peach, Lotus Flower Strength: 5/10 Longevity: 6/10 Known dupe for: Glossier You Also similar to: Maison Francis Kurkdjian à la Rose
Zara's Perfume in Rose went viral as a dupe for the old formula of Glossier's fan-favorite You . Comparisons aside, this fragrance is fresh and light, with just a tinge of fruit despite peach being one of its top notes. This means is not overpoweringly sweet, which is a W in my book. The smell is overall musky (thanks to its ambrette base), though on the subtler side. (For reference, Zara describes its intensity as medium.) The added noted of pear and pink pepper give this one a slight spicy kick, which is especially noticeable when it dries down. Since it's so subtle, the lasting power is not great, but it is so affordable that you can literally shower yourself in it and reapply throughout the day. Available sizes: 100 ml (3.4 fl oz) for $27.90

By Njera Perkins
By Liv McConnell
Notes: Hibiscus, Passion Fruit, Mandarin Oil, Vanilla Orchid, Mango Strength: 7/10 Longevity: 5/10 Zara's Hibiscus fragrance is both tropical and fruity. The scent leans heavily on the sweet side, but it is not overbearing. There's a citrusy profile to this scent with the inclusion of bitter orange and tangerine, but they are counteracted with mango and passion fruit to bring down the edge, which is rounded off with the hint of floral that lends it its name. Overall, it's fun and free. Perfect for summer — or if you are longing for summer. This fragrance sits among some of the most affordable options that Zara offers.
Available sizes: 90 ml (3.0 fl oz) for $19.90
Red Zara Temptation Elixir Parfum
Notes: Coriander, Jasmine, Saffron, Amber, Moss Strength: 8/10 Longevity: 9/10 Known dupe for: Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540 Eau de Parfum Similar to: Ariana Grande Cloud
By now, Red Zara Temptation needs no introduction. The fragrance has claimed a corner of the internet as one of the most popular and sought after perfumes dupes , but did you know there are multiple versions to go for? This is the Elixir Parfum version, which is a bit more intense and lasts a bit longer, in my opinion. (If you spray this on clothes, which I know we shouldn't, it literally stays for days.) Overall, this is a sweet and warm fragrance, so it is definitely more palatable at night and definitely not for everyone, but it's super infectious if you fancy the combo.
Available sizes (for regular Eau de Parfum): 10 ml (0.34 fl oz) for $8.90 , 30 ml (1.0 fl oz) for $17.90 , 80 ml (2.71 fl oz) for $35.90
Brûlante Violette
Notes: Pink Pepper, Freesia, Muguet, Violet Flower, Sandalwood Strength: 7/10 Longevity: 9/10
Brûlante Violette is one of the fragrances included in Jo Malone's newest collection for Zara and, let me tell you, the presentation is stunning. The bottle is heavy and sturdy with a great magnetic cap. The perfume itself comes in a very luxe round box, which makes it perfect for gifting. Now, let's get into the scent. Brûlante Violette lasts a long time — and when I say a long time, I mean it; I counted nine hours on my skin. The scent is on the subtler, floral side, but it evaporates magnificently on the skin. It's clean but with a punch, thanks to the cedar, moss, and elemi in its composition. This was my favorite from the entire Jo Malone Silent Flowers collection, but if you are unsure, you can snag up the full mini-set for just under $50 , which is the same price as just one big bottle.
Sizes: 100 ml (3.4 fl oz) for $49.90
Notes: Rose, Apple, Musk, Orange, Jasmine Strength: 6/10 Longevity: 4/10 Similar to: Chanel Chance Eau Tendre
Zara's Applejuice is the very definition of a fresh fragrance. Despite what its name might suggest, it is more on the citrusy side than fruity. Longevity-wise, this is an Eau de Toilette, not an Eau de Parfum like the other fragrances included on this list, so understandably, its lasting power is not comparable, but the scent makes up for it. It's also super affordable, so you can keep a bottle in your purse to top up. Though it starts off super citrusy and clean, this one dries down with hints of musk, sandalwood, and cedar, which makes for a warmer lingering scent. Available sizes: 30 ml (1.0 fl oz) for $12.90 , 90 ml (3.0 fl oz) for $19.90 , 100 ml (3.4 fl oz) for $27.90 (as part of a duo pack)
Vetiver Pamplemousse
Notes: Grapefruit, Vetiver, Clementine Strength: 9/10 Longevity: 9/10 Similar to: Hermès Eau de Pamplemousse Rose , Jo Malone London Grapefruit
If you don't like citrus fragrances, you might want to stay away from this one. However, if you do and you haven't tried this one, what are you doing?! Another one of Zara's fragrances crafted in collaboration with Jo Malone, Vetiver Pamplemousse is as citrusy as citrus fragrances can get, using grapefruit and mandarin orange with a woody hint of vetiver. The projection on this one is 10/10, and the lasting power is also on par. Since it is so strong, to me, this fragrance can feel slightly masculine, but it technically works for everyone. It's fresh, indulgent, and elevated, and people will 100% notice your trail. Available sizes: 75 ml (2.54 fl oz) for $39.90
Lightly Bloom
Notes: Peony, Musk, Lotus Flower Strength: 7/10 Longevity: 8/10 Similar to: Versace Bright Crystal , Le Labo Lys 41
I used to be a Maison Margiela Replica girlie, but since I picked this up at Zara a while back, this perfume has become my go-to. In fact, it's the only fragrance I packed for my trip home for the holidays this year. With peony as the top, Lightly Bloom is fresh, floral, and smells so clean. The lasting power is not the best out there, but it is still pretty decent, especially for such a light fragrance. Despite being in the same collection as A Perfume in Rose, I find this one to have a much better projection and potency, at least on my skin. It's more fragrant and lasts longer, but you can still go heavy on the spritzs if you want an extra oomph. Available sizes: 30 ml (1.0 fl oz) for $14.90 , 100 ml (3.4 fl oz) for $27.90

Zara has gained a huge international following for its clothing line, which offers affordable and fashion-forward pieces that help keep you in the know when it comes to la mode. Zara offers much more than just clothing, and among some of its most popular personal cosmetic products, its line of perfumes stands out.
The best Zara perfume should fit your own specific style and sense of self. For instance, if you want a feminine fruity fragrance with a sultry undertone, try Zara’s Twilight Mauve .
What to know before you buy a Zara perfume
What is Zara?
Zara is a Spanish clothing retailer that has made big leaps into the American market, with stores now open in many major cities across the United States. The brand has garnered a following for its current, refined style at affordable prices, combining some of the best of fashion trends from Europe with economical price points.
What makes Zara perfumes memorable?
Zara perfumes are all unique to Zara’s line, so you won’t be able to find any other perfumes identical to their offerings. On top of that, they present subtle, feminine fragrances with rich layering of high, middle and base notes at reasonable prices.
Why wear perfume?
Perfume isn’t just to smell better; it can be a personal statement, something that distills your personal sense of fashion and self into a fragrance that marks your presence in a room. Don’t underestimate the power of a personalized perfume in your daily hygiene and fashion routine.
Zara perfume features
Most Zara perfumes are sold in units of 100 milliliters (3.4 ounces), but if you’d like to find a smaller quantity, either as a smaller investment or a travel-size perfume, there are some aromas available in varying sizes.
Bottle colors
Most Zara bottles come in rounded, low-profile forms that travel well, can fit into a pocket or a purse but still look elegant on a shelf. Some are pastel colors such as pink, and others come in more neutral colors like black and red, with some coming in special limited edition bottles.
Type of aroma
Most of Zara’s perfume line leans heavily on floral fragrances — among them orchid, rose, jasmine and the like — often combined with warm middle notes like vanilla.
Zara perfume cost
Most Zara perfumes cost $30-$40 per 100-milliliter bottle, and smaller bottles cost less, while specialty line perfumes may cost a bit beyond that price range.
Zara perfume FAQ
How often should I reapply my perfume?
A. While it may be hard to believe, Zara perfumes are formulated to last all day after their first application. That said, if you feel like the scent is waning, go ahead and give yourself another spritz — just remember that it’s always easier to layer more perfume on instead of take it away once it’s been spritzed. Some scents are lighter than others, and sunny florals tend to fade faster than those with heavier base notes.
Are Zara perfumes vegan and cruelty-free?
A. Zara perfumes are vegan, containing no animal products or by-products. However, they are not cruelty-free. Zara does, as of 2021, still test its hygienic products on animals as a standard practice. Some countries where Zara is sold, such as China, have regulatory requirements for animal testing to ensure safety before human use is permitted.
What’s the difference between Zara’s eau de toilette and perfume?
A. Eau de toilette and perfume are both liquid fragrances that you can apply through a hydrolyzing spritz mechanism, but the amount of actual fragrance and strength is different: eau de toilette is made up of about 4%-10% perfume oil, which is the distilled essence of the essential oils and aromas used for the scent. On the other hand, perfume typically consists of 15%-25% perfume oil, making it the more potent of the two.
Which Zara perfume should I get?
Best of the best Zara perfume
Zara Twilight Mauve: available at Amazon
Our take: With fruity, summery scents at the top of this perfume, Twilight Mauve is sure to delight your senses all day long.
What we like: Customers love that this perfume lasts all day but is not an overpowering scent and won’t make you dizzy or nauseous, as some long-endurance perfumes tend to do. Best for daytime, sunny occasions, this perfume comes in a pleasant pink bottle that travels easily.
What we dislike: It’s a matter of personal taste, but the bright sunny notes of this perfume might not translate for formal or nighttime events.
Best bang for your buck Zara perfume
Zara Orchid: available at Amazon
Our take: Like a fresh bouquet of orchids, this light scent will brighten your day without overwhelming your nostrils.
What we like: This perfume is sensitive enough not to bother delicate noses while still possessing a long-lasting fragrance. It smells like stepping into a fresh garden without having to break the bank. It won’t stain and comes in a super-sturdy bottle in an attractive pink that travels well.
What we dislike: Unfortunately, the fragrance may fade away faster than you might like, according to some reviews.
Honorable mention Zara perfume
Zara Red Vanilla: available at Amazon
Our take: This vanilla-heavy perfume balanced with fruity top notes is wearable any time of day.
What we like: With a medley of aromatics, this perfume fits for daytime or nighttime use, making it more flexible and mature-smelling than some of Zara’s other more floral-heavy offerings. It fits easily into a handbag and comes in a lovely red-tinted bottle that reflects its Red Vanilla scent. It’s gentle enough for people with sensitive skin to use.
What we dislike: Some users have complained that the vanilla scent can be overpowering and may irritate sensitive noses. Micayla Mead is a writer for BestReviews. BestReviews is a product review company with a singular mission: to help simplify your purchasing decisions and save you time and money.

When it comes to traveling, things can get a bit hectic, whether you're coping with delays and cancellations or long-haul airport waits. This is why a calming or confidence-boosting scent can truly make all the difference.
So, for all our anxious flyers and fragrance-obsessed readers out there, here's a roundup of the scents that make the best travel companions, according to the experts...
The best travel perfumes to get your from A to B
To help decode which scents fulfill our travel requirements, we've enlisted Natalia Ortiz, Chief Commercial Officer at The Fragrance Shop and Rebecca Herd, fragrance expert at The Perfume Shop to share some insights. But first, let's meet the travel scent contenders before we really delve into all the technical perfume note intel...
RRP: from $14.99 for 0.84 fl. oz.
This essential oil, roll-on perfume from Being Frenshe has a blend of fresh lavender, milky sandalwood and sweet cardamom and is described as: "Calm, relaxed and dreamy"
And if you're worried about its longevity and scent power, don't be! I personally love these Being Frenshe scents, especially the 'Bergamot Cedar' one because it's so cozy. It really clings to the skin, creating a beautiful skin scent that really does last.
RRP: $39.90 for 3.04 fl. oz.
This perfume also doubles as a great holiday scent thanks to the blend of orange blossom and neroli, along with calming ylang-ylang—which Ortiz recommends for anxious flyers.
RRP: from $80 for 1 fl. oz.
Another soothing lavender scent, this Jo Malone perfume features a blend of grapefruit, English lavender and silver birch. It is on the woodier side, but thanks to the floral and fruity notes, it's as comforting as it is long-lasting.
RRP: from $85 for 1 fl. oz.
Recommended by Ortiz, 'Beach Walk' features notes of bergamot, heliotrope, coconut milk, lemon and pink pepper. It's fresh, beachy and floral—ideal both for travel and for a light vacation scent. It's also an Eau De Toilette, so it won't be too overpowering and will fade nicely.
RRP: from $95 for 1 fl. oz.
Not only is this Dua Lipa's favorite perfume but it also features a blend of warm florals, that are both bold and comforting, thanks to its notes of lavender, orange blossom and musk accord.
RRP: from $100 for 1.7 fl. oz.
With notes of pink pepper, jasmine, amber and patchouli, this perfume is the perfect blend of floral and spicy, which will envelop you in warmth. The scent is described as 'ever-changing' so you won't get sick of the aroma during your journey.
The dos and don'ts of perfume when traveling
Best perfume notes for anxious flyers.
- Recommended calming notes: Lavender, jasmine, rosemary, lemon and ylang ylang
If you find flying (or any kind of travel) anxiety-inducing, treating yourself to a comforting scent, that grounds you and soothes any racing thoughts could be the way to go.
Ortiz says: "Flying isn't a breeze for everyone, but taking a perfume on board with you can help soothe your nerves, help you relax to promote sleep and help with the end of flight freshening up.
"Calming notes such as lavender, jasmine, rosemary, lemon and ylang-ylang can all help promote sleep and ease anxiety."
Herd agrees that lavender is an especially good note to look for if you have a fear of flying or find the airport process very stressful (we can relate!), thanks to its calming properties. She also adds: "We would always suggest if you are in a small space like an aircraft you don’t want to be wearing a really strong perfume as you want to think about others around you. Something fresh and light would be perfect."
To get the most out of your perfume and to ensure you're surrounded by those soft and cozy aromas for as long as possible, spray your perfume on your pressure points. You could also try the Vaseline perfume trick , which can help the notes stick to your skin and boost their longevity.
What perfume notes should we avoid when travelling?
- Notes to avoid: Leather, tobacco and coffee
As for what scents to steer clear of, if you need to be in close proximity to others or find that some scents make you feel nausea—especially first thing in the morning—Ortiz draws our attention to heady, long-lasting perfumes that house woody or musky base notes.
"When it comes to flying, a lighter scent is not going to overpower you, but you want to pick long-lasting notes such as musk and woods, particularly if they're in the base fragrance note. These tend to evaporate slower than fruity or floral notes," Ortiz advises.
"Heavy single scents such as leather, tobacco and coffee might be too much as you're traveling, as they're brightening notes which can make you feel more awake and alert", she added.
Herd also suggests avoiding stronger formulas like elixirs or parfums that have a higher concentration of oils (which do make them last longer on the skin so are stronger in scent). Instead, opt for an eau de toilette.
So while we long oud perfumes and unique woody blends, it's perhaps best to save them for your date-night perfume rotation—or your office perfume game.
Ortiz also remarks that, because we all have different preferences, "it's also worth discovering which notes you like, that are nostalgic, and ones that may even make you feel a little nauseous if in the wrong environment such as flying."
Can flying affect your perfume?
Another important thing to note when flying is that the air pressure can affect how your perfume smells. Ortiz explains: "At higher altitudes, the air is thinner and has less moisture, which can cause the top notes of a perfume to evaporate more quickly.
"Top notes are the ones that give your fragrance the initial scent impact and are usually the most volatile oils, like citrus oils for example. These can evaporate in higher altitudes which can lead your fragrance to smelling different than you remember."
So, keep that in mind when you're selecting your scents, and before you pack your fave perfumes in your carry-on, check that it's within the liquid requirements. If it isn't, instead spritz it on your skin before you leave for the airport and stow it safely in your haul luggage!

Zara is my go-to shop for a lot of things, and I'm not just talking about fashion. In my opinion, hair products can be make or break. They can either enhance your entire wash-day routine or become those bottles that sit in your bathroom cupboard never to be used again. As a beauty editor, I've spent years curating my personal collection of holy-grail shampoos , conditioners, volumising mousses , hairsprays and more, and it would take a lot for me to stray from the brands that I know and love.
That being said, Zara's haircare range definitely intrigued me. Not only is the packaging super fun, but each product retails for £16, making the collection more affordable than luxury hair brands such as Olaplex and Oribe (but still more expensive than a lot of high street contenders). Because of this, I decided to give the entire range a go to see if it would live up to the hype. Keep on scrolling for my honest review.
Zara Haircare Review
Before getting into the individual products, I want to talk a little bit about the collection as a whole. If you didn't know, the range was actually created in collaboration with renowned hair stylist Guido Palau , who has worked with the likes of Prada, Saint Laurent, Versace and more. There's no denying that Palau knows what he is doing when it comes to hair, so the fact that he has worked on this range definitely makes it more appealing.
Each product has been designed to become part of your everyday arsenal of styling basics, and with six different products on offer, there is plenty to choose from. One thing I would like to note is that there is only one product in the collection that is designed for curly hair, and it would be nice to see a wider range of products for waves, curls and coils from the brand in the future.
Now, onto the products themselves...
1. Zara Hair Volumising Mousse
First up is the volumising mousse. I have a love/hate relationship with these kind of products, as although I love the way they make my hair look, they often leave my hair feeling crunchy and stiff. However, this Zara mousse is easily one of the most lightweight options I have tried, and practically disappears when applied to the hair. Although this was a big plus, something I found a little strange is that you are advised to apply the product to your mid-lengths and ends. I normally like to use a volumising mousse in the roots of my hair as that is where my hair tends to fall flat, whereas my ends hold a lot more volume. It definitely made my ends look fuller and more bouncy, but I don't know if I would reach for this on a daily basis as I'd rather use something on my roots. However, if you find that your hair does fall flat at the ends, then I would recommend giving this a go.
2. Zara Hair Blow Dry Spray
Now this product really impressed me. I won't lie, I don't always use a blow dry spray as I never really know if they are necessary, but since testing this I have reached for it every time I've washed my hair. You can apply this before drying or straightening to not only protect from heat, but to also add shine. When I use this I feel like my hair looks so much smoother and healthier, and it definitely gives that glossy finish that I thought I could only get from going to the salon.
Junior Beauty Editor, Grace Lindsay, testing the Zara Volumising Mousse and Blow Dry Spray.
3. Zara Hair Dry Texturising Spray
Another product that impressed me was the texturising spray. This is designed to add volume and give you that tousled, "undone" look. The spray itself is so easy to use and it feels really lightweight on the hair (unlike other sprays which have weighed my hair down). On first look, it definitely added that chic, "I just woke up like this" kind of texture to my hair and I loved the voluminous finish that it gave. That being said, I wouldn't say that this spray lasts particularly well. I found I had to keep it in my bag to refresh my hair throughout the day, but at just £16, I didn't mind too much.
4. Zara Hair Light Hair Balm
Ok, so you don't need this product in your collection, but it's a really lovely one if your hair is feeling dry and lacklustre. The balm is designed to help hydrate your ends and add shine and softness. I can confirm that this product does all of these things and is great for refreshing hair in between washes. I also like using it when I do my slicked-backed buns as it gives your hair that glossy finish. The best bit is that you can't feel a thing once you've applied it, so you don't have to worry about your roots feeling greasy or your ends feeling weighed down.
Junior Beauty Editor, Grace Lindsay, testing the Zara Light Hair Balm and Hair Spray.
5. Zara Hair Curl Activator
As someone with naturally curly hair, I was excited to give the curl activator a go. I've tried various curl creams and gels over the years but have yet to find something I love, so I had high hopes. Although it is a great product, I don't think I will be rushing to purchase it again. It definitely helped enhance my curls, but I didn't feel as if they were super defined. It also promised to add shine, but again I didn't see much difference here. If your curls are already quite defined then you might love this, but for me it wasn't a winner.
6. Zara Hair Spray
Last, but by no means least, is the Zara hairspray. If I'm being honest, this was probably the product I was least excited to try. I mean, how good can a hairspray really be? Well, as it turns out, it can be really, really good. My hair stayed in place all day when wearing this, but when I ran my fingers through it, it was as if I had applied no product at all. It is so lightweight while still managing to deliver impressive hold and also add natural shine. If you want glossy, healthy-looking hair that holds its style, then this is the product for you.
Shop The Zara Hair Collection:
The perfect product to add volume and shine.
This is one of my favourite products from the range.
If you want that perfectly "undone" look, I recommend adding this to your basket.
My hair savour for in between washes.
This lightweight spray helps to define curly hair types.
The only hair spray you need in your collection.
