The Apollo Victoria Theatre is a West End theatre best known for hosting long-running musicals such as Starlight Express, and since 2006, the hit musical Wicked.
Commonly known as the Apollo Victoria, the spectacular venue can hold over 2,300 people and is ideally located right near Victoria Station. It is a stunning Art Deco theatre with a heritage dating back to 1929, when it opened as a state-of-the-art cinema, commissioned by Provincial Cinematograph Theatres (PCT) to accommodate the growing popularity of ‘talking pictures’. Known as the New Victoria Cinema, the building was renowned as a place to watch film, big band and variety performances. It also showed some of the first broadcasts of a fledging BBC!
In 1975, the building was refurbished and shifted its focus on to more musical content. A concert celebrated the new opening, starring Dame Shirley Bassey as the headline act. In the late 1970’s and 80’s, the theatre hosted a series of well-loved musicals, including Fiddler on the Roof, The Sound of Music and Camelot, before becoming the venue for the premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Starlight Express. The interior of the auditorium was completely redesigned for the production, with race tracks running through the audience and modifications to incorporate a split-level roller-skating rink. Starlight Express played at the theatre for an incredible 18 years before finally closing in 2002.

Tems has officially launched the next era of her career. The Nigerian R&B singer has revealed the cover art for her anticipated debut album Born In The Wild , and announced a supporting global tour . As the 28-year-old’s first international headlining trek of her career, the tour stops in London, Paris, Houston, Chicago, and Los Angeles, before wrapping in Australia.
Additionally, dates and locations for concerts in Africa and Asia are set to be announced at a later date. The tour is supported by Naomi Sharon and Lekan.

“ Born in the Wild is actually about my journey,” explained the “Free Mind” singer to Eddie Francis on Apple Music 1. The album is prefaced by the single “Love Me JeJe,” which interpolates Seyi Sodimu’s 1997 track of the same name.
“It’s about my experience as me and about the experiences I’ve had so far. And it really felt like the life I lived before, the life I was accustomed to felt like a wilderness. And it’s not really more so, yes, I was raised in Lagos and that’s a part of me, but it’s not really about the place, it’s more about the state of being. It was a wilderness in the environment I lived in and there’s so many things that happened and so many lessons I learned to come and be this person now. It is basically coming out of the wilderness. So that’s basically what Born In the Wild is about,” the songstress explained.
She continued to detail, “I’ve had to step back a bit to make sure or to check in with myself that I’m being true and also just find healing from all the trauma. Everything I experienced before Tems, I think I had to unlearn a lot of things. And this album is just, it is just a new way of me expressing myself while still centering who I am in it.”

The Bolshoi Theatre is a historic theatre in Moscow , Russia holds ballet and opera performances.
The theater is located in the same place where the Petrovsky theater which had been inaugurated in 1780 and which was set on fire in 1805. In 1819 a competition was announced for the project of the new theater; the competition was won by Andrei Michajlov.
However, his project was considered to be too expensive, consequently the governor of Moscow Dmitry Vladimirovich Golicyn commissioned the architect Giuseppe Bove to modify it.
Work on the new project began in 1820 and the new Grand (Bol'šoj) Petrovsky Theater was inaugurated on January 18, 1825 with Fernando Sor's ballet Cendrillon.
Before the October Revolution it was a part of the Imperial Theatres of the Russian Empire along with Maly Theatre ( Small Theatre ) in Moscow and a few theatres in Saint Petersburg Theatre, later Mariinsky Theatre and others.
