"Tickets on sale from Friday this week."

In 2017, Simon, 45, confirmed he and his bandmates were back in the studio working on a follow-up to 2015's 'Colours', which was their final album released on Sony Music.

At the time, Lee, 38, was in 'EastEnders', Duncan, 43, in 'Hollyoaks' and 40-year-old Anthony was appearing in an Agatha Christie play, so the boys had limited time to work on the new tunes.

Simon said then: "We're in the studio. We did the Sunshine Festival in Worcester. We're going to Latvia tomorrow. We're constantly working, at least two or three times a month."

However, Blue admitted in 2019 that they would be focusing on live shows.

The 'Guilty' hitmaker added how he and his bandmates - who formed in 2000 and have continued to play shows over the years - keep one another grounded.

Simon - who released his first solo album in 11 years 'Smile' that October - said: "[If] the attitude is that we're getting above our station, the other three will bring you back into line. We're very, very grateful to be in the position that we are."

Blue's 2022 UK tour dates are:

Saturday 17 September – M&S Bank Arena, Liverpool

Sunday 18 September – First Direct Arena, Leeds

Monday 19 September – OVO Hydro, Glasgow

Wednesday 21 September – P&J Live, Aberdeen

Thursday 22 September – Utilita Arena, Newcastle

Monday 26 September – Brighton Centre

Wednesday 28 September – Motorpoint Arena, Nottingham

One for the money and the free ride it's two for the times you lied, all rise! Who doesn't enjoy the nostalgic early 00's music of Blue? The UK boyband really made their mark with an R & B infused pop sound that was far more danceable than their contemporaries of the time including Westlife and Boyzone.

Unfortunately the success was short-lived and following an atrocious Eurovision entry the boys parted to work on separate projects. They cemented their return in 2013 with a solid, mature album entitled 'Roulette' and with this the original lineup took to the road to reacquaint themselves with a delighted fanbase. The four men may be older yet they can still dance having all gone on intense fitness regimes and are looking better than ever. The show is imaginably OTT including video interludes, scantily clad dancers and huge amounts of lasers yet favourites such as 'Fly By II' and 'If You Come Back' really do steal the show when performed. The brilliant encore of 'All Rise' has the whole venue singing as one momentous unit and proves that the group clearly had reason to return.

Blue fans go wild as boy band announce reunion for special 20th anniversary tour

The quartet will hit the road across the UK in December to entertain fans who have supported them over the last two decades

blue boyband tour 2022

  • Updated 10:19, 20 May 2022

Blue have announced they will be reuniting this year to celebrate 20 years of the band with their Heart and Soul tour - and fans can't wait.

The quartet will hit the road across the UK in December to entertain fans who have supported them over the last two decades.

One fourth of the band Duncan James send fans wild after posting a video of the band on Instagram , captioned: "I say blue you say what” - a reunion!!??? @officialblue."

Since sharing the video on Thursday (May 19), the post has garnered thousands of likes and views with hundreds of fans pouring in to share their excitement over the reunion.

In the clip Duncan James, Lee Ryan, Simon Webbe and Antony Costa can be seen trying to get money out of a cash machine, before each comically confessing to being 'broke'.

The video opens with Simon at an ATM as he pretends to enter his pin code, he then turns to face the camera where a voice in his head with a thick Jamaican accent can be heard saying: "You don't have no money... so take your a*** and go long, you're broke!"

Next up is Lee who similarly enters his details into the cash machine before reminding himself of a speeding ticket he paid: "Oh yeah, I forgot I paid that fine, I wasn't even driving, my missus was."

The Blue singer, 38, was charged with driving a Mercedes at 70mph in a 60mph limit in Peterborough twice in 2020.

Antony then takes to the same cash point as his inner voice simply shouts "b******s" at seemingly not being able to afford getting any money out.

Last up is Duncan who faces a similar dilemma, where he says: "Ah dear the bank balance wasn't want it used to be." Before adding: "Today wasn't a great day, but it was nice to see the boys. I went up and asked how everyone was, everyone was pretty down actually. Then I had this genius idea, why don't we reform?"

The announcement video caused a frenzy among fans, as many took to the comment section to express their excitement.

@miss_safiyya_'s wrote: "Love this!!!! Yay a reunion," while @felicityhayward added: "Can’t wait."

@francescomontereal commented a heart emoji accompanied by two rocket emojis and a hands up emoji.

@tamarawall13 put: "Love this!!!!!!" as @nishascookingagain typed: "Omg can’t wait!!!! Take me back!!"

"Yaaaaaaaaaay i can t wait, why not world tour," @maynou_benameur said.

@abdullatifhusamo added: "Oh guys. You made many of us happy to see together again. ONE LOVE."

@vivienne_yun shared: "Hilarious video, I say Yes to reunion @officialblue and of course for a chance to meet you again @mrduncanjames."

The British noughties music icons' reunion tour for 2022 will mark the 20th anniversary of their formation. The tour, named Heart & Soul, will run for 12 shows over three weeks in December this year all over the UK. So far, the confirmed dates are:

  • Sunday December 4 2022 at 7pm - Cardiff: Motorpoint Arena
  • Monday December 5 2022 at 7pm - Manchester: AO Arena Manchester
  • Wednesday December 7 2022 at 7pm - Leeds: First Direct Arena
  • Friday December 9 2022 at 7pm - Birmingham: Resorts World Arena
  • Sunday December 11 at 7pm - Liverpool: M&S Bank Arena
  • Monday December 12 at 7pm - Brighton: Brighton Centre

  • Sunday December 18 at 7pm - Aberdeen: P&J Live Arena
  • Monday December 19 at 7pm - Glasgow: The OVO Hydro
  • Tuesday December 20 at 7pm - Newcastle: Utilita Arena Newcastle

The tour was originally set to take place in 2021, but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, with the dates rescheduled to this winter.

The foursome's new album Heart & Soul will be released on September 9, which will follow-up from the band's last album Colours in 2015.

All three of the band’s first albums, All Rise (2001), One Love (2002) and Guilty (2003) were UK number ones and charted all over Europe.

After their split in 2004, the band reunited for a one-off performance at Capital FM’s Summertime Ball in 2009, before going on to be internally-selected to represent the UK at Eurovision 2011.

Blue have announced their first album in seven years, Heart and Soul, and delayed their comeback tour.

The boy band – made up of Lee Ryan , Duncan James, Simon Webbe and Antony Costa – were due to embark on a run of live shows in September with Atomic Kitten .

We’ve been in the studio WRITING a brand new album,’ Simon said in a video on social media. ‘And don’t forget we’re going on tour, and the tour’s called Heart & Soul as well, so it ties in together, you’re going to NEED the album!’

The reunion shows were initially set to mark two decades since the release of their chart-topping 2001 debut album, All Rise.

However, they’ve now been pushed back slightly to December, and will coincide with the new record.

The Breathe Easy hitmakers have confirmed their first LP since 2015’s Colours will arrive on September 9.

Finally! We are pleased to announce our sixth studio album ‘Heart & Soul’ is not only on its way but you can preorder it now on the link below. https://t.co/miQOCSQdHe pic.twitter.com/9NbyWbYDyo — BLUE (@officialblue) April 11, 2022

A press release teased that the four-piece “have been back together in the studio working on one of their best records yet.”

Special guests for the new dates will be announced and all tickets will remain valid, with the run kicking off on December 4 at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena and concluding at Newcastle Utilita Arena on December 20.

In 2017, Simon, 43, confirmed he and his bandmates were back in the studio.

At the time, Lee, 38, was in EastEnders, Duncan, 44, in Hollyoaks and 40-year-old Antony was appearing in an Agatha Christie play, so the boys had limited time to work on the new tunes.

He said: ‘We’re in the studio. We did the Sunshine Festival in Worcester. We’re going to Latvia tomorrow. We’re constantly working, at least two or three times a month.’

Heart and Soul can be pre-ordered now by visiting  Blue.lnk.to/preorder and will be available on CD, Vinyl and Cassette, as well as on all digital platforms. Get your tickets here .

The tour also marks the first time that the Atomic Kitten line up of Jenny Frost, Liz McClarnon and Natasha Hamilton will perform together in over a decade.

Speaking of the tour, Blue added: “We can’t believe it’s been 20 years since All Rise, our debut album, was released. It’s been quite the ride since then and now we have so much to look forward to as we go into our third decade! We had a lot of time in lock down to reconnect as friends and we started thinking how we could celebrate the anniversary. The four of us started working on new music and it felt so good to be back doing what we love again. This time off during the pandemic also made us realise how much we missed performing live. We can’t wait to get back on the road and see all of you at our Heart & Soul Tour. We have been planning this tour for a while and we promise you, we’ll be putting on the best show and making it a celebratory night you won’t forget! We have some surprises up our sleeve for the 20 th anniversary so stay tuned, 2022 is going to be a big one!”

Blue are one of the most successful British bands and have sold over 16 million albums worldwide including 3.6 million albums and 1.4 million singles in the UK. Their first 3 albums all topped the Official Album Chart and the group have worked with a variety of legends including Stevie Wonder, Elton John and Lil’ Kim. The British four-piece have recently begun work on new music, with announcements to come.

Irish girl group B*Witched are the second act to be confirmed as special guests for Blue’s Heart & Soul UK arena tour this December.

Consisting of twin sisters Edele and Keavy Lynch, Lindsay Armaou and Sinead O'Carroll, the group enjoyed success throughout Europe, Asia, Australasia and North America.

Their first single C’est La Vie shot to the top of the charts. Their follow up singles Rollercoaster, Blame It On The Weatherman and To You I Belong also reached number 1, selling over 5 million albums along the way and was Top Ten in the USA

B*Witched said, “We are so excited to announce that we will be joining Blue on their Heart & Soul arena tour in December 2022. We have been wanting to tour together for some time now after nicknaming ourselves Bluwitched several years ago and are thrilled it is finally happening.

We’ve known the guys for so long and have always loved their energy and their approach, so we know this is going to be a mega show. We will be bringing our hits of course but expect some surprises too including a brand new single! We want to put on an amazing show and can’t wait to see all the fans and some new faces too. What better way to end the year!”

Blue added, “We are really excited to be teaming up with the girls from B*Witched on our UK tour. We had great fun touring Australia and New Zealand with the girls a few years ago and we are looking forward to round two!”.

The original B*Witched line up reunited for the big reunion tour alongside Blue among others. Ever since the girl group have been wowing audiences with their sensational live shows and staring in their own podcast which launched in 2021.

The tour kicks off on Sunday 4th December in Cardiff and runs through 12 dates ending on December 20th in Newcastle. The tour includes a date at London’s iconic 02 Arena.

Blue - Antony Costa, Duncan James, Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe - have been back together in the studio working on one of their best records yet. The brand-new studio album, titled Heart & Soul.

Megan McKenna is the other special guest joining Blue on tour. First and foremost a singer-songwriter, Megan’s journey to music has been slightly more unconventional than most.

After starting her career as an English television personality, Megan left this all behind to pursue her deeper passion – music. Inspired by her deep-rooted love for all things country, the first step in Megan’s musical journey saw her travelling to Nashville to experience first-hand the music she’d always loved, documenting her travels for the public in a three-part ITV series. This was the first time the public properly heard Megan’s unique, powerful voice. Her performances drew rave reviews and led to her releasing her debut country album Story of Me.

McKenna has supported Tom Jones on his Summer tour and performed on the main stage at the Isle Of Wight festival.

History of Moscow Oblast

The territory of the Moscow region was inhabited more than 20 thousand years ago. In the first millennium AD, this land was inhabited mostly by the Finno-Ugric peoples (Meryane and Meshchera). In the 9th-10th centuries, the Slavs began active development of the region. The population was engaged in hunting, fisheries, agriculture, and cattle breeding.

In the middle of the 12th century, the territory of the present Moscow region became part of the Vladimir-Suzdal principality, the first towns were founded (Volokolamsk in 1135, Moscow in 1147, Zvenigorod in 1152, Dmitrov in 1154). In the first half of the 13th century, the Vladimir-Suzdal principality was conquered by the Mongols.

In the 14th-16th centuries, Moscow principality became the center of unification of Russian lands. The history of the Moscow region is inextricably linked to military events of the Time of Troubles - the siege of the Trinity-Sergius Monastery by the troops of False Dmitry II, the first and second militias.

More historical facts…

In 1708, by decree of Peter the Great, Moskovskaya gubernia (province) was established. It included most of the territory of present Moscow oblast. In 1712, St. Petersburg became the capital of the Russian Empire and the significance of the Moscow region as the country’s economic center began to decrease.

In 1812, the Battle of Borodino took place near Moscow. It was the biggest battle of the Russian-French War of 1812. In the second half of the 19th century, especially after the peasant reform of 1861, the Moscow province experienced economic growth. In 1851, the first railway connected Moscow and St. Petersburg; in 1862 - Nizhny Novgorod.

The population of the Moscow region increased significantly (in 1847 - 1.13 million people, in 1905 - 2.65 million). On the eve of the First World War, Moscow was a city with a population of more than one million people.

In November, 1917, the Soviet power was established in the region. In 1918, the country’s capital was moved from St. Petersburg to Moscow that contributed to economic recovery of the province. In the 1920s-1930s, a lot of churches located near Moscow were closed, a large number of cultural monuments were destroyed. On January 14, 1929, Moscow Oblast was formed.

In 1941-1942, one of the most important battles of the Second World War took place on the territory of the region - the Battle for Moscow. In the postwar years, the growth of economic potential of the region continued; several science cities were founded (Dubna, Troitsk, Pushchino, Chernogolovka).

In the 1990s, the economy of Moscow Oblast experienced a deep crisis. Since the 1990s, due to the motorization of the population and commuting, road traffic situation in the Moscow region significantly deteriorated. Traffic jams have become commonplace.

Moscow Oblast - Features

Moscow Oblast is located in the central part of the East European Plain, in the basin of the rivers of Volga, Oka, Klyazma, Moskva. The region stretches from north to south for 310 km, from west to east - 340 km. It was named after the city of Moscow, which however is not part of the region. Part of the administrative authorities of the region is located in Krasnogorsk.

On the territory of the Moscow region, there are 77 cities and towns, 19 of them have a population of more than 100 thousand people. The largest cities are Balashikha (518,300), Podolsk (309,600), Mytishchi (262,700), Khimky (256,300), Korolyov (225,300), Lubertsy (209,600), Krasnogorsk (174,900), Elektrostal (149,000), Odintsovo (138,900), Kolomna (136,800), Domodedovo (136,100).

The climate is temperate continental. Summers are warm, winters are moderately cold. The average temperature in January is minus 10 degrees Celsius, in July - plus 19 degrees Celsius.

One of the most important features of the local economy is its proximity to Moscow. Some of the cities (Odintsovo, Krasnogorsk, Mytishchi) have become in fact the “sleeping districts” of Moscow. The region is in second place in terms of industrial production among the regions of Russia (after Moscow).

The leading industries are food processing, engineering, chemical, metallurgy, construction. Moscow oblast has one of the largest in Russia scientific and technological complexes. Handicrafts are well developed (Gzhel ceramics, Zhostov trays, Fedoskino lacquered miniatures, toy-making).

Moscow railway hub is the largest in Russia (11 radial directions, 2,700 km of railways, the density of railways is the highest in Russia). There are two large international airports - Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo. Vnukovo airport is used for the flights within the country.

Attractions of Moscow Oblast

Moscow Oblast has more than 6,400 objects of cultural heritage:

  • famous estate complexes,
  • ancient towns with architectural monuments (Vereya, Volokolamsk, Dmitrov, Zaraysk, Zvenigorod, Istra, Kolomna, Sergiev Posad, Serpukhov),
  • churches and monasteries-museums (the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius, Joseph-Volokolamsk monastery, Pokrovsky Khotkov monastery, Savvino Storozhevsky monastery, Nikolo Ugresha monastery).

The most famous estate complexes:

  • Arkhangelskoye - a large museum with a rich collection of Western European and Russian art of the 17th-19th centuries,
  • Abramtsevo - a literary and artistic center,
  • Melikhovo - an estate owned by A.P. Chekhov at the end of the 19th century,
  • Zakharovo and Bolshiye Vyazyomy included in the History and Literature Museum-Reserve of Alexander Pushkin,
  • House-Museum of the composer P.I. Tchaikovsky in Klin,
  • Muranovo that belonged to the poet F.I. Tyutchev,
  • Shakhmatovo - the estate of the poet Alexander Blok.

The architectural ensemble of the Trinity Sergius Lavra is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The largest museum of the Moscow region is located in Serpukhov - Serpukhov Historical and Art Museum.

The places of traditional arts and crafts are the basis of the souvenir industry of Russia:

  • Fedoskino - lacquer miniature painting,
  • Bogorodskoe - traditional manufacture of wooden toys,
  • Gzhel - unique tradition of creating ceramics,
  • Zhostovo - painted metal crafts,
  • Pavlovsky Posad - fabrics with traditional printed pattern.

Some of these settlements have museums dedicated to traditional crafts (for example, a toy museum in Bogorodskoe), as well as centers of learning arts and crafts.

One of country music's best singers will play the twin cities' worst concert venue in september.

After working his way back from a vocal cord injury that sidelined him for three years, cult-loved country music hero Sturgill Simpson will now face a new challenge in his long-awaited Twin Cities comeback show: Roy Wilkins Auditorium .

The richly twangy, Grammy-winning Kentucky singer has scheduled a Sept. 25 date at St. Paul's notoriously echoey and uncomfortable 92-year-old exhibition hall, which has mostly been hosting high school graduations and RV and camping shows since finally being sidelined as a concert venue a half-decade ago.

Tickets for Sturgill's concert in St. Paul go on sale via Ticketmaster.com June 14, with presale options beginning June 12. Prices have not yet been publicized. The show is being billed as an "evening with" performance, meaning there will be a lengthy headlining set and no opening act.

Simpson, 45, will hit the road again with a new album to promote, "Passage Du Desir," which he is purportedly releasing under a new stage name, Johnny Blue Skies . Maybe he can get Chris Gaines to open some of the shows?

There's an easy explanation for why Simpson's tour — billed as the Why Not? Tour — is stopping at Wilkins Auditorium: The comparably sized Armory across town in Minneapolis is already booked that night with another performer, Gracie Abrams. Simpson was supposed to play the Armory in 2020 when his tour plans were canceled due to the pandemic, and then later due to his vocal issues. He has not performed in the Twin Cities since a 2016 date at First Avenue.

Twin Cities music lovers on social media gave tour promoter AEG Presents plenty of reasons why not to have booked the tour into Wilkins Auditorium.

"Please not Roy Wilkins," Brock Peterson posted to X (previously known as Twitter).

"Honestly, Myth would have been better for his fanbase," concert-scene fixture Kyle Matteson also posted, referring to the strip-mall megaclub in Maplewood.

Some fans said they will probably skip the Wilkins show and instead trek 3½ hours to Moorhead, where Simpson is scheduled to perform a night earlier at the scenic Bluestem Amphitheater .

The last major ticketed concert booked at Wilkins Auditorium was the boy band Why Don't We in 2022, which was canceled. Before that, the venue's last string of big shows included Lake Street Dive, Bruce Hornsby and LCD Soundsystem in 2017, the year before Minneapolis' Armory reopened as a refurbished concert hub.

Chris Riemenschneider has been covering the Twin Cities music scene since 2001, long enough for Prince to shout him out during "Play That Funky Music (White Boy)." The St. Paul native authored the book "First Avenue: Minnesota's Mainroom" and previously worked as a music critic at the Austin American-Statesman in Texas.
