We are located in the historic city of Salem, Ma. We offer 90-minute cruise's voyaging through Salem Harbor. We are proud to say that we were the First Tiki Boat to operate in the Massachusetts, Boston, North Shore region. We have a full bar and a bathroom on board. Come relax, and enjoy a delicious cocktail and listen to some music that will transport you to your favorite Caribbean vacation spot. We run from May 4th through October 31ST. Our capacity for all cruises is six passengers maximum so you will never feel cramped or overwhelmed with a crowded boat. We offer several different cruises this season with tickets starting at $50 per person. All passengers must be 21+.

This day speaks for itself. Sh*tkickers and Daisey Dukes. Boot scoot boogey with us all day long.

September 19th

 From Grunge, to Alternative, to Hip hop, the 90's had something for everyone. This is sure to be an amazing music day onboard! Request your favorite! Have some fun and dress in theme. 

Our Terror Movie nights were a huge hit last October. We are bringing these back this October as well. These nights will only be posted on our Social media pages, usually just a few days in advance. Follow us in October!

90 MINUTE HARBOR CRUISES

See Salem Harbor from a different perspective! Your experience with us will last approximately 90 minutes from when we greet you at the Wharf until we arrive back at the dock after our cruise. There will be a brief Coast Guard required safety briefing before we get underway. Please have each passenger read and sign the printable release form found on our home page. Forms will be collected before boarding. Please be on time. Delays will cut into your experience.

Tiki Hut Boats will not wait for late passengers if you do not book all six seats, and tickets will not be refunded.

Salem and the North Shore are home to some of loveliest sailing in New England. We offer daily sailing and private charters on the beautiful Salem Sound.

Come sail on our unique historic yacht and take in the views of Boston's North Shore, the scenic islands, picturesque lighthouses and abundant wildlife as wind fills the sails.

This summer marks our sixth season sailing the beautiful schooner When And If from the Salem landing. Hop onboard as we gracefully sail by up to 5 of Salem Sounds majestic lighthouses while sipping on your favorite cocktail in comfort and style!

A beautiful classic

The Historic Schooner When And If, built in 1939 for General George S Patton to sail around the world.

"When the war is over, and If I live through it, Bea and I are going to sail around the World" are the worlds of then Colonel Patton as he named his now historic yacht. The elegant classic schooner yacht now takes up residence with Sunset Sail Salem under the care of owner and Captain Seth Salzmann. This vessel is your chance to enjoy truly glorious sailing with room for up to 32 guests on private charters and 28 guests on our shared sailings. Set sail in class and style on this stunning example of the golden years in American yachting under sail!

Perfect sailing

Escape the crowds and take to the sea for an experience unlike any other. Watch as your experienced captain and crew cast-off lines and the yacht glides out of the harbor. Sit back and relax or lend a hand as we raise sail and turn off the engine. You’ll experience the thrill of the sails catching the wind and the schooner picking up speed as we sail past majestic lighthouse, beautiful beaches, rocky shores and numerous islands in the well protected waters of Salem Sound.

Enjoy from our array of craft cocktails, wines and beer as our Captain and crew share stories of the history of the ship and nautical tales of Salem Sound's storied landmarks and out islands. Misery island, Bakers island, Children’s Island and Marblehead neck are among the many sights to be scene on a regular basis. The crew gave us a brief history lesson about the boat, the town of Salem & its Port/Harbor. My wife, myself and our teens were given the opportunity to not only steer the ship but to wear the official Captain's Hat while doing it. We got to hoist the sails and really feel like we were part of the "crew". The boat ride itself was fantastic! Once on the water, it was like we were transported to a new time and place. With summer comes plenty of opportunity to spend time on the water in Salem, Massachusetts! For summer 2021, be sure to bring your mask/face covering ( they are required in downtown Salem), and check for tickets in advance as capacity for cruises may be limited. As you plan your summer travels, consider adding these harbor cruises to your itinerary:

Schooner FAME Sails

Schooner FAME is a full-scale replica of a privateer that sailed from Salem during the War of 1812 and captured 20 ships. FAME is expanding its sails this year, departing up to FIVE times daily from May through October, including sunset sails six nights a week! In 2018, Schooner FAME began partnering with Salem rum-maker Deacon Giles to offer Salem Swizzles and Deacon Stormies. These up-size, up-scale drinks come in their own collectible cups for cruisers to take home as souvenirs. SchoonerFame.com

Harbor Cruises with Mahi Cruises

Over the summer, Mahi Cruises run out of Pickering Wharf with family-friendly cruises! Each cruise comes with a full bar and grill with fresh eats and views of Salem Sound, stunning coastlines, lighthouses, and more. During October, the family-friendly fun continues with Haunted Happenings cruises offering a fun way to celebrate the Halloween season on the water with hot apple cider, clam chowder and fall activities. Take Naumkeag to Bakers Island

Join Essex Heritage for a quick cruise aboard landing craft Naumkeag to volunteer or spend the night on Bakers Island. While volunteering, you can be a part of the preservation process for maintaining Bakers Island’s historic buildings and grounds. Volunteer days run Wednesdays through September 16. For even more time on Bakers Island, camp overnight in the Assistant Keeper’s House with available dates through September. BakersIslandLight.org
