I'd definitely go see him perform again, had a lovely night out listening to him. I would recommend to anyone who gets a chance to go, made my night. Loved crazy and fuck you, his song choice was great and he had the whole crowd singing along to him. Everyone was out of there seat singing along and dancing. I enjoyed every minute of it xxxx

OMG! I LOVE this guy..... We had a COMPLETE ball. I wanted to go see him the next night. He was SUPER nice. His show was EVERYTHING Cee-Lo. I got a picture and an autograph.

Self-confessed lady killer Thomas DeCarlo Callaway better known internationally by his stage name Cee Lo Green has been working on the live circuit and recording for longer than most realise. The Gnarls Barkley musician struggled to achieve a similar success with his solo career until the release of the 'Lady Killer' album in 2010 and the global smash 'Fuck You'. Unfortunately this seemed to be somewhat of a commercial peak as the follow-up dropped off major charts around the globe quickly.

His setlist now consists heavily of his popular material and former work with Gnarls Barkley including 'Run (I'm a Natural Disaster)' and the infamous 'Crazy' which is sang back in force. Cee Lo knows how to work a crowd and has a natural charisma and charm especially with the female majority of the audience. It would seem though that the audience only get onside with the performer during the popular tracks such as 'Bright Lights Bigger City' and international smash 'Fuck You'. Cee Lo has the stage presence to go far yet the filler material seems ever more noticeable when placed against the huge hitters.

CeeLo Green Announces James Brown Tribute Tour

CeeLo Green will honor the Godfather of Soul, James Brown, with a special tribute tour,  Soul Brotha #100. 

Green will celebrate Brown with a 75-minute set of 27 songs from his extensive catalog. He also curated an elaborate wardrobe that reflects Brown’s signature style.

“I’ve always felt deeply connected to James Brown on a musical level and beyond. He’s been a mentor, teacher, and literally a godfather to me throughout my career and I remain humble as I embark upon this embodiment,” says Green.

“I’ve been studying the era to perfect the show and also James Brown’s archive to make this moment authentic, and a real dedication to what he gave to us and every generation that follows. Together, let’s turn this into the ultimate experience and celebration of James Brown and real music all over.”

The first tour stop is Friday, April 29, at the Jazz & Heritage Festival in New Orleans, Louisianna. Green will mostly play in U.S. cities throughout the spring and summer, including Newport Beach, Atlanta and New York City. On Sept. 10, Green will travel to Rio De Janeiro, Brasil, to perform at Rock In Rio.

It’s been nearly two years since Green released his fifth studio album,   CeeLo Green…Is Thomas Callaway .  He recorded the soulful project in Nashville, Tennessee, with Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys.

In 2021, Green teamed with go-go band Rare Essence for “ Baby Don’t You Go Go .” Rated R&B premiered the official video that was inspired by Afrofuturism.

In December 2021, Primary Wave Music announced its deal with Brown’s estate. The New York-based company, which also manages Green, now owns a stake in Brown’s publishing, master recording income stream, and name and likeness rights.  

Earlier this year, A&E Networks announced its plans for a four-part documentary about Brown with the working title  James Brown: Say It Loud .  It is scheduled to premiere in 2023.

Singer-songwriter CeeLo Green has announced the second part of his Love Train Tour with thirteen additional shows set for the summer. His Love Train Tour PT. 2 kicks off June 8th in southern Mass and extends through June visiting big cities like Boston, Toronto, Chicago, San Francisco and Phoenix. CeeLo will continue performing his own material along with paying tribute to the artists who inspired him such as Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday, Ike and Tina Turner and B.B. King. The tour's first part took place in March and visited mostly southern cities like his hometown of Atlanta, New Orleans, Jackson, Nashville and Charlotte.

CeeLo Green released his fifth album 'Heart Blanche' on November 6th, 2015 via Atlantic Records. The album followed up 2013's holiday album 'Cee Lo's Magic Moment' which reached #4 on Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and #25 overall. The R&B musician's most successful album 'The Lady Killer' was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album in 2012. CeeLo recently was a judge and coach on NBC's The Voice from 2011 to 2014.

CeeLo Green at Lake Compounce Saturday

Singer CeeLo Green comes to the new floating lake stage at Lake Compounce Amusement Park this Saturday, June 24  at 6 p.m. as the 2023 Lake Compounce Summer Concert Series continues.

Thomas DeCarlo Callaway-Burton, known professionally as CeeLo Green (or Cee Lo Green or just Cee-Lo), is a singer, songwriter, rapper, record producer and actor. He is known for his work on the Gnarls Barkley single “Crazy” and his solo single “Forget You.”

The concert series at the park, 185 Enterprise Dr., Bristol, continues every Saturday with performances by tribute acts, local bands and All-4-One and Canaan Smith still to come.

The park will celebrate the Fourth of July weekend with fireworks following every concert on July 1-3.

The park also will host a fireworks show after every concert in July.

Paula Cole on "Lo," her 11th album: "I was compelled to write and the songs just kept flowing"

NEW YORK - Grammy winner Paula Cole burst onto the music scene in the 1990s with hits like "Where Have All The Cowboys Gone?" and "I Don't Want To Wait," which later became the theme song to the show "Dawson's Creek."

The singer-songwriter-producer just released her 11th album, called "Lo," and she has upcoming tour dates at the South Orange Performing Arts Center on June 1st and Sony Hall in Times Square on June 2nd.

"I was compelled to write and the songs just kept flowing," she told CBS New York's Chris Wragge. 

Cole called "Lo" personal and heartfelt. The album showcases her versatility, from the folksy "Green Eyes Crying," to the piano balladry of "Invisible Armor."  The jazzy "The Replacements & Dinosaur Jr" namechecks those two iconic bands, as well as John Lennon and A Tribe Called Quest.

"Each album and each song is a Polaroid snapshot of where I'm at in my life," she said. "I also love to weave in the social and political. I can't help myself."

Paula Cole reflects on Lillith Fair

Cole was one of the original performers of the legendary Lilith Fair, which launched in 1997 and shattered glass ceilings as the first all-female touring festival.      

The bill also included Sarah McLachlan, Sheryl Crow, Tracy Chapman, Jewel and Fiona Apple.

"It was all born out of me opening for Sarah McLachlan," she said. "There were two women on the bill. That was a rarity. It didn't happen."

Cole said McLachlan kept adding more women to the bill, which eventually led to the full festival.

"It was before anyone knew or any culture caught on and could label it," Cole said. "It just became this movement. It was fantastic."

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Cole's debut album, "Harbinger.' Her second album "This Fire," went double platinum. It would garner her seven Grammy nominations, including Album of The Year, and a win for Best New Artist.

"There have been times where I'm not as cool," she said as she reflected on her career. "So you just try to stay steady, let the overt praise fall off you like rain, keep going when the times are tough. Just one foot in front of the other."

"I'm not in it to have a bunch of different businesses or sell a bunch of products," she added. "I'm here because I worship at the altar of music. It's a lifelong obsession."
