Avatar photo

The legendary house music label Defected Records has just announced an ambitious series of New Year’s parties taking place across six continents worldwide.

In addition to events in North and South America, Africa, Asia, and Oceania, the label will host a massive double-header party at the OVO Arena, Wembley in their home city of London.

“This event is not just another event; it is a testament to the enduring spirit of electronic music and the passionate community that has grown around it,” Defected’s Director of Events and Talent, George Pritchard said in a press release.

Expanding upon previous NYE parties at iconic venues like Ministry of Sound and Printworks , Defected’s London double-header will be split between New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

On December 31, 2023, Defected’s London NYE spectacle will be soundtracked by label favorites Sam Divine , Low Steppa , Ferreck Dawn , Prunk , and Rio Tashan .

Defected’s London New Year’s Day party on January 1, 2024, will be a special takeover from their Glitterbox sub-label with performances from Eats Everything , Groove Armada , and many more, alongside Glitterbox’s “exuberant crew of performers and surprise confetti moments.”

Further performances from Defected’s global takeover include Carl Cox , Danny Howard , and Riva Starr at The Ivy in Sydney, Australia; Melé and OFFAIAH at Chi Samui in Koh Samui, Thailand; and Darius Syrrossian and Kitty Amor at the Wild Water Complex in Johannesburg, South Africa.

For the label’s stateside takeover in Las Vegas, Arielle Free and Harry Romero will play at Discopussy on December 31, and Juliet Mendoza and Mike Dunn will spin at the We All Scream rooftop on January 1, 2024.

The label will close things out with an event in Buenos Aires, Argentina on January 6, 2024. Both the lineup and venue for Buenos Aires are yet to be announced.

Additional information and tickets for each of Defected’s New Year’s 2023/24 events are now available here .

Fun facts from our Moscow Metro Tours:

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.

The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.

Coffee Ring

The first scheme of Moscow Metro looked like a bunch of separate lines. Listen to a myth about Joseph Stalin and the main brown line of Moscow Metro.

Zodiac Metro

According to some astrologers, each of the 12 stops of the Moscow Ring Line corresponds to a particular sign of the zodiac and divides the city into astrological sector.

Astrologers believe that being in a particular zadiac sector of Moscow for a long time, you attract certain energy and events into your life.

Paleontological finds

Red marble walls of some of the Metro stations hide in themselves petrified inhabitants of ancient seas. Try and find some!

  • Every day each car in  Moscow metro passes  more than 600 km, which is the distance from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
  • Moscow subway system is the  5th in the intensity  of use (after the subways of Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai).
  • The interval in the movement of trains in rush hour is  90 seconds .

Dream Theater share full slate of 2023 Asia tour dates: Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and more

The prog rock band will return to the region later this month

James LaBrie of Dream Theater

Dream Theater have unveiled the full slate of Asia dates for their Top of the World tour, which will go down in April and May this year – see the list below.

After news of individual shows, including Manila and Indonesia , trickled out last month, on April 2 the prog rock band unveiled a poster that confirms their full Asia itinerary.

They’ll kick off the tour later this month with two shows in Seoul, South Korea, before heading to Japan for four shows across three cities. May 4 will mark their first show in Southeast Asia with a Manila concert. They’ll then head to Bangkok, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur before concluding in Jakarta.

Dream Theater’s 2023 Asia dates for the Top of the World tour are:

Dream Theater briefly toured Asia last August, though they only performed in Jakarta and Download Festival Japan . It’s possible that the band will hit the road again after this Asia tour, as guitarist John Petrucci said last October that Dream Theater expect to be touring throughout 2023 off the back of latest album ‘A View From the Top of the World’.

“Just like everybody else, we were shut down for two years and have a lot of catching up to do,” he said in an interview. Petrucci added that their heavy tour schedule means that it’s unlikely that Dream Theater will enter the studio again to work on a new album “before the fall; I highly doubt it”.

Dream Theater are far from the only international act performing in the region this year. Other artists who’ve just announced Asia tours of their own include Kodaline , Sabrina Carpenter , Dhruv and Ruel .

17 fun presentation ideas (with video!) to wow your audience

Three professionals in a meeting, discussing over a digital tablet with positive expressions, using Biteable video maker.

  • 30 Mar 2023

So you want to be the next Steve Jobs. Or Martin Luther King. Or any other dazzling orator you look up to. But you need a little something to add to your presentation ideas – you don’t want to bore people to death with Powerpoint.

Whether you’re creating a sales presentation, an event presentation, or just showing your travel video to Uncle Ron, we’ve compiled some of the best ways to get your audience seriously hyped up about your message.

Biteable offers online video presentation software, so we know a thing or two about making engaging presentation videos. In this guide, we share some of our favorite video presentation inspiration and show you some of the different types of presentations you might consider.

When you’re ready to make your own video presentation, head over to  Biteable  for hundreds of brandable templates, video scenes, and workplace-ready animations. With Biteable, making a video presentation is as easy as making a PowerPoint – only a whole lot more fun.

Create videos that drive action

Activate your audience with impactful, on-brand videos. Create them simply and collaboratively with Biteable.

Types of video presentations

If you’re looking to win over your audience with a presentation, videos are the best way to do it. According to Insivia, viewers retain  95% of a message  when they see it in a video, but only 10% if they have to read on-screen text.

When you’re making your presentation, you could either make your video the whole presentation, or just a part of the whole. Did you know, for example, that you can  embed a video in a Powerpoint document?  Either is possible with our video templates and it can be interesting to mix things up once in a while.

There are four main types of presentations:

  • Informative
  • Demonstrative
  • Inspirational

Picking the right one will ensure you’re onto a winner with your video presentation. For example, if you’re onboarding some new employees, you might choose a video template that’s an informative presentation like this one:

Or, if you want to show off how something works, a demonstration presentation might be what you want to create:

A persuasive presentation would involve creating a video more like this charity infographic example:

And if you want something a little more inspirational, try something like this positive quote video template.

But that’s not all, folks! If you’d like to check out more awesome Biteable video templates, visit our  templates page here .

Creative (and fun!) video presentation ideas

You’ve now picked the type of presentation you need. But how do you get creative with your video?

First of all, it’s important your video is top-notch. Without high-quality graphics and production value, your message may fall by the wayside. Choose online  video presentation software  that’s easy to use and makes great-looking videos. That’s where Biteable comes in.

Whatever the topic of your presentation, your video format and design need to match the overall tone and message.

Delivering a corporate presentation on climate change? A fast-paced, wildly colorful template with upbeat music is going to feel a little off-message.

To identify how to design your presentation, think about the feelings you want to evoke in your audience. Want them to be crying with laughter? Moved to tears? Motivated into taking action? Pinpointing the emotions behind your presentation will help you choose the right template and make the best video possible.

17 great video presentation ideas

Now you’ve nailed down the type of video presentation you want to make, it’s time to master the finer details. Here’s just some of the ways you can make your message sing.

1. Start with a bold statement

A bold statement can capture your audience’s attention right from the get-go. Your statement should offer something slightly unusual and maybe even a little controversial. Something to make people sit up and take notice.

2. Tell a story

One of the best ways to get your audience’s attention is to tell a story – it’ll hit them right in the feels.

A personal, human story works because it the audience can relate to it on a personal level. Think about some stand-out examples of human stories that relate to your business or idea, and tell that story so people will connect with the central character. The bigger the emotion the better: love, longing, overcoming obstacles, things we’ve all had to deal with at some point in our lives.

Think about the  ‘story arc’  – how will you frame your message so the audience immediately empathizes?

If you’re selling trainers, perhaps you’ll talk about someone who’s training for a marathon. If you’re lobbying for women’s rights, perhaps you’ll tell a story of when a passing comment affected you deeply. Maybe you should think back to the decision that started your business, and start your presentation with that.

Here’s a great example of storytelling from one of the world’s top brands:

3. Use music

Music has great power to support and enhance the emotion in a video presentation, and has been proven to sustain an audience’s attention and aid in information retention. Music is used in movies to suggest an emotional state to the viewer, so why not in a video presentation?

Modern, up-tempo music will snap people to attention at the right moment, while slow, minor-key sounds relax the brain, which is useful for reviewing content so it can slip more easily into long-term memory.

It can be a struggle to find good quality  royalty free music , but here at Biteable we have a selection of great royalty free tracks (or you can upload your own if you’re that way inclined).

Music is one of the most critical (and often overlooked) aspects of any presentation. Here’s a good example of a Biteable template where the music does a great job of supporting the message.

4. Visual metaphor

Research has shown that combining pictures and text is one of the best ways to help people engage with and retain information. There’s something about how our brain works that makes text by itself far less memorable, so if you can combine something visual with your message, you’ll keep people’s attention longer and they’ll remember more of your presentation.

Talking to a group of people about taking action on something that scares them? A picture of someone diving or bungee jumping could work. Telling your boss how important that company retreat is next year? Show them an image of happy, relaxed people with their toes in the sand.

It doesn’t have to be obvious and clichéd, either. Closed doors, wide open roads, and lighting a candle all have subconscious messages that you don’t really need to explain. (Whatever you do, just don’t use the ultimate cliche: the overused  ‘water ripple’ .)

5. Use questions

Questions can be a great way to open a presentation, because they encourage the audience to think for themselves. It opens them up to a realm of critical thinking, which is perfect when you’re gonna sock it to them with your impactful message.

‘Did you know 15 billion trees are cut down each year?’

‘Have you ever considered what life would be like if you didn’t have to save money?’

The art of asking questions in a presentation means you can incorporate them into your video as a great lead-in. Combined with some appropriate music, it can really get your audience thinking about the issue, and then you’ll go on to explain exactly what your solution is.

Having a laugh can really do a lot to win over an audience. There’s no need to be too serious, and even if you’re dealing with a heavy topic, lightening the mood can work wonders.

Whether you’re looking to create a funny sales video, an event presentation, or a presentation for an interview — one thing’s for sure, you can’t go wrong by including humor.

7. Repetition

Simple. Effective. Powerful.

Repetition can be used in several ways: by offering several one-word sentences in a row (the repetition is in the rhythm), or by repeating a word or a key phrase several time throughout your presentation.

In his famous Stanford speech in 2005, for example, Steve Jobs concluded by saying  “Stay hungry. Stay foolish.”

Repetition is powerful. It drives home your key message and strengthens your position.

8. Motion Graphics

Motion graphics  are basically animation with text as a major component, and is a staple of what we do at Biteable.

When you use moving graphics in a presentation, it instantly captures attention. If your audience is just taking their seats, or are halfway through hearing your story, there’s no doubt they’ll sit up and take notice if you introduce some cool motion graphics, like this Meeting Tips example.

Although they can sometimes feel clichéd, quotes are a great way to impart a message in a presentation. Want your audience to understand something complex? A quote from Einstein should do it. Or would you like to say something meaningful and poetic? A couple of lines of Shakespeare should convey some wisdom.

10. Audio narration

Narration can give a different mood to your presentation, especially if the voice is powerful and the words are heartfelt. Use it to change the tone or pace of your presentation and it will certainly keep your audience hooked if there’s a danger of them losing interest.

11. Go bright with color

Color can have a huge effect on how your video comes across. Don’t be afraid to experiment. The contrasts of black and white can be extremely effective, but you can also grab people’s attention with some carefully-chosen primary and secondary colors, like in our Motion Graphics template.

12. Use illustrations

Illustrations are a great way to communicate information, especially if you’ve got lots to say. Whether you want to create a crowd of people or a cool depiction of some new fancy gadget, illustrations can draw the eye and make your presentation more interesting.

13. Infographics

When you utilize infographics, you can pack in a huge amount of data and information without confusing your audience. Think pie charts, digital numbers, and ascending animated graphs. These can show your audience boring data in an exciting way.

14. Create interesting transitions

The one advantage of video over a standard presentation is that you can do all types of funky things with transitions, like a whip pan transition, when the camera quickly pans between scenes. It’s a bit like a wipe, but much faster. Check out our full article on transitions  here .

15. Make it look cinematic

Adding a cinematic touch can help your audience feel receptive to your message because subconsciously, they will associate these elements with being at the cinema, eating popcorn, and generally having a good time.

16. Go retro

A cool, retro look for your presentation will make it hard to ignore. By going retro, you add a little bit of cheeky style to your message. You don’t need to go  quite as retro as the template below, but taking a step back in time is a sure way to add a little bit of zing to things.

17. End on a meaningful note

Your presentation will only give your audience a lasting impression if you end it right.

It’s important to let the audience know what you want them to do next: to visit a website for more information, to ponder an idea or new direction, or to take action toward a particular goal.

An attention-grabbing visual will work really well here, along with a meaningful end to the music – a change of pace, volume, or pitch.

What’s the takeaway message? A strong CTA (call to action) will ensure your presentation is memorable and much more likely to be talked about.

Video brings your presentation alive

Of course, we’re a little biased here at Biteable, but we’ve also sat through enough mind-numbingly dull presentations to know that video offers a delightful treat for your audience. It brings your message to life in a way no other medium can.

Cooking is easy. The puzzle is figuring out what to eat. As soon as you know that, you can get started. The same holds for presentations. The sooner you can whip up a good, informative, and catchy topic, the easier the rest of the process becomes.

Pick a good topic that resonates with you and your audience to set a strong foundation. But select the wrong topic, and it becomes difficult to connect with your audience, find mutual interests, or hold their attention.

So, let’s learn how to develop thought-provoking and relevant topics for your presentations. You’ll also find some best practices to make your presentation memorable.

How to choose a great presentation topic in 5 steps.

120 presentation topic ideas, 5 presentation tips.

How to Choose a Great Presentation Topic. Be novel. Begin with the end in mind.

We’ve broken down the painstakingly long process of choosing a topic into five simple and easy steps. Let’s walk through it.

Step 1: Begin with the end in mind.

Identify the goal of your presentation by asking yourself:

  • What do I hope to achieve from the presentation?
  • How do I want to come across?
  • What do I want my audience to take away from the presentation?

By keeping the end goal in mind, you’ll know exactly how to title your presentation.

Step 2: Know your audience.

Your audience is the star of the show. Get to know them by figuring out the who, what, and why.

Who is your audience? Profile your audience. Know their demographics, beliefs, knowledge level, and cultural backgrounds.

What are the problems that your audience is facing? Think about their pain points. Consider what they are going through and what situations they face daily. Maybe they’re already looking for a solution, or they need additional information to decide.

Why should they listen to you? Identify one or more clear benefits for your audience they will take home.

Pro tip: Always consider your audience’s knowledge level on the topic before drafting your presentation. For example, a presentation on social media targeted at Gen Z will differ from that targeted at Millennials.

Step 3: Be novel.

Make sure you either select a new topic or bring an entirely new and unique perspective to an already covered issue.

For instance, don’t make a presentation on the “best lead generation strategies.” Your audience has probably heard those dozens of times already. Corny.

Instead, discuss “How companies are using AI technology to implement lead generation strategies without lifting a finger.” Or add your own perspective, “How to seal a 1M deal: Our five best lead generation strategies.” Open a new window and let your audience see a fresh view.

Step 4: Be precise.

Once you have completed the first three steps, you probably have a few topic ideas ready. Now, cut out all the excess and select a niche topic with a very specific goal.

The broader your topic, the more difficult it will be for your audience to take away key ideas and actionable tips. Also, it’d be more difficult to gather an audience.

Discuss one problem and solve that problem only. By the end, your audience should have a clear idea of what they’ve gained from the presentation and what one (several at max) problems you helped solve.

Example of a generic topic vs. a specific topic

For instance, the first topic in the image is generic, sounds vague, and doesn’t specify any clear benefits.

In turn, the second topic mentions the target audience, tells them what to expect, and provides a clear, actionable plan. The audience knows exactly what they will take away from the presentation.

Step 5: Leverage your expertise.

The most important element that can make or break your presentation is you. The level of expertise you bring in, your interest, knowledge, and comfort with the topic determine the credibility of your presentation.

Pick a topic you’ve got first-hand experience with. Bring in a unique opinion or learnings/findings to add value to your words.

Let the audience view the topic from your perspective. In doing so, you can hook your audience and make your presentation original and memorable.

Also, choose a topic that you’re passionate about. The more enthusiastic you are about the topic, the more value and credibility you’ll bring to the presentation.

The audience will feel it and invigorate. And so will the lack thereof, which can be a big turn-off for your listeners.

Ever noticed how some people talk about sports? Their body language oozes energy and excitement.

Pro tip: Think about what excites you about the topic. Then narrow it down to 2 to 5 driving factors to focus on in your presentation.

The best presentation topics always put their audience first, offer direct solutions, and fill in some knowledge gaps. But there’s more.

Don’t think of your presentation as a mere speech — it’s a ride you’ll take your audience on. There should be highs, lows, and revelations with a bang for an ending.

That being said, use these five tips to ace your presentation.

Presentation Tips. Make it informative, clear, and relevant. Design a clear layout. Choose an appropriate presentation style. Use visual aids. Engage with your audience.

1. Design a clear layout.

Divvy up your presentation into four parts — introduction, body, conclusion, and follow-up — to construct a clear layout and attractive design . Let’s see what you should add to each.

  • Intro: Add a catchy title with a hook. Explain a clear thesis statement or the main idea behind your presentation. Give a preview to your audience by including a table of contents so they know what to expect. The best introductions are creative and original, so let your imagination run wild.
  • Body: Explain your topic and make your case. Sort the main idea into 3 to 5 key points. Arrange them in a logical order and make connections. Explain each point and use facts to bolster your claims.
  • Conclusion: Make it concise. Summarize the main points and takeaways. Tie all the parts of your presentation together. And it’s best to end your presentation with a catchy line to inspire vivid discussions.
  • Follow-up: Always leave some time for Q&A to dispel any doubts or to give any additional information the audience may require.

2. Use visual aids.

Use creative and attractive visual aids to stimulate emotions, simplify complex topics, and keep your audience captivated. Moreover, imagery helps your audience retain information longer.

Study shows that up to 60% of your audience is likely to remember visual content after three days. In turn, only 10% lives in memory when receiving information exclusively verbally.

So, include visuals like images, infographics, gifs, charts, and videos at the right time. Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words.

3. Make it informative, clear, and relevant.

You know your presentation has valuable information for your audience, but does your audience know that? Explicitly communicate actionable takeaways and benefits they will gain from it.

Select the best method to get the message across to your audience. Use relevant stories and examples to help you explain. People love stories; they move your audience while getting the message across. Most importantly, do it in a fun way.

Here are several tricks on how to do that:

  • Have a great opening and closing line.
  • Add facts and statistics to back up your information.
  • Use emotionally triggering words to stimulate your audience and keep them attentive.
  • Add humor and anecdotes to keep boredom away.
  • Include intriguing and relevant examples to connect strongly with your audience.
  • Use a vibrant color palette that’s easy on the eyes.
  • Use slides more like a billboard. Make them easy to read and comprehend.
  • Use less text, more visuals, and a limited number of bullet points.

4. Choose an appropriate presentation style.

There are many ways to present a topic. Your personality, the topic at hand, and your audience’s personas will help you determine which style would best fit you and your audience.

Select a presentation style that will communicate the main idea clearly and have a lasting impact on your audience.

For instance, explore a freeform style presenter by Sir Ken Robinson.

5. Engage with your audience.

Work on your presentation skills to make a strong connection with your audience, get through to them and leave a mark.

Think of the presenter as the link between the topic and the audience. A strong or a weak presenter can make a difference between a presentation being a thriving success or a boring failure.

Hone your skills by engaging and interacting with your audience. Make them feel like a part of the presentation and not just spectators. 70% of marketers have found presentations with interactive content to be more effective than those without.

Here are a few ways you can make your presentation interactive:

  • Start your speech with uncommon questions to your audience. Involve them from the get-go, like ask to raise their hands if X.
  • Make eye contact to build credibility and show confidence. Don’t stare at your slides or notes. Smile occasionally and talk to the audience directly.
  • Have an active and confident body language. Don’t stand in the same place the entire time. Move around the stage.
  • Don’t be monotonous. Speak as you would to a colleague — with enthusiasm.
  • Ask close-ended questions in between to keep the audience engaged without losing time. Address them using their names to keep things interesting.
  • Share personal experiences and stories that your audience will find fascinating and relatable.
  • Practice thoroughly before you present so you’re fluent with the material and delivery.
  • Energy and excitement can be quite contagious. Make sure you exude enough to spread some to your audience.

Feeling Inspired Yet?

Now you have all the right ingredients for choosing amazing topics and a hundred ideas to drive inspiration from. So, go ahead and start cooking presentations that will blow your audience away.

Don’t forget to choose a super-relevant topic and add meaty information. Do it with excitement to make it enjoyable for you and your audience. Best of luck!

If you’re looking for good topics for presentations, you’ve landed on the right page. In this article, you’ll find plenty of good presentation topics, tips on choosing the most suitable topic for you, and essential design elements to make your presentation a success.

Many factors go into an excellent presentation. You need to have confident body language and engage your audience to hold their attention. You also need eye-catching visual aids like images, data visualizations, GIFs, and others (all of which you can find in Prezi ), not to mention a great opening to grab attention and a strong closing line to stay memorable. However, the most essential aspect of your presentation is the topic. It’s the core of your presentation, so it has to be strong, insightful, attention-grabbing, and appealing to yourself and your audience in order to evolve into a successful presentation everyone will love.

How to choose a good presentation topic

There are millions of topics you could create a presentation on, but what defines a good topic? If you’re struggling to either come up with a good topic for a presentation or you can’t decide between multiple ones, here are a few questions you should ask yourself before choosing a topic.

What’s the goal of your presentation?

When you’re choosing a topic, consider the meaning behind it. Ask yourself what the purpose of talking about this topic is, and what you want to say about it. Whatever topic you choose to present, the conclusion needs to provide a takeaway or lesson you want to communicate to your audience. A meaningful goal will make your presentation more memorable.

Are you interested in the topic?

If you’re not interested in the topic, others won’t be curious either. Interest, enthusiasm, and passion enrich your presentation and are noticeable when presenting. Interest shines through and inspires others to find the topic as fascinating as you do. Think about the last time you saw someone sharing something they were passionate about – their excitement drew people in to pay closer attention to what they were saying.

When choosing a topic, you need to find it or a particular angle of it interesting for yourself. For example, perhaps you’re not a pop music enthusiast, but you’re passionate about studying cultural phenomena. In this case, you can talk about pop music’s influence on early 2000s youth culture.

Will your audience find this topic relatable?

While you have to find the topic you’re presenting interesting, you also have to think about your audience. When choosing a subject, consider your audience’s background in terms of demographics, interests, culture, and knowledge level about the topic. Think about what others will find fascinating and relevant, so they’re not bored or confused during your presentation.

Do you have prior experience or knowledge about this topic?

Personal experiences are always great to share in a presentation, providing your unique perspective for anyone listening. While you can easily prepare your presentation based on a quick Google search, it won’t make the same lasting impact on your audience. Choose a topic you have some prior knowledge about, or have an interesting opinion you can share with others. It’ll make your presentation more engaging and memorable.

How to create a good presentation

If you know what you want to present on, it’s time to create an impactful presentation that grabs everyone’s attention. Presentation design plays a crucial role in how your presentation is received and remembered. To stand out and leave a memorable impact on your audience, create a Prezi presentation. Instead of a linear, slide-based presentation, offer an engaging and dynamic storytelling experience to your audience. Breathe life into your presentation with motion, zoom, and spatial relationships. When creating your presentation, consider the following three essential elements:

Visuals play a significant part in presentation design. They evoke emotions, make a memorable impact, and give more context to the story. Not to mention, 65% of people are visual learners , so visual aids are helpful when explaining a complex topic.

In your presentation, include different types of visuals, such as images, videos, GIFs, and stickers, all of which you can find in Prezi’s content library. When selecting your visuals, consider what’s relevant and brings additional value to the story. Only add what’s meaningful and necessary. A video or image at the right place and time will enrich the viewing experience and make your presentation more memorable.

The layout of your presentation is the structure of your story. It’ll help you introduce the topic, intrigue your audience, and unfold the layers of your topic one by one until you disclose your main arguments and summarize the presentation. A good presentation layout has a hierarchical, chronological, or logical flow that leads the viewer from start to finish.

If you’re creating a Prezi presentation, you can create a dynamic storytelling experience by experimenting with your layout. Instead of going from slide to slide, you can zoom in and out of topics and experiment with different shapes, animations, and effects that draw the viewer into your story world. Here’s an example of a Prezi presentation with a great storytelling layout:

Data visualizations can elevate your presentation from being a good one to a great one. By providing data behind your arguments, you’ll appear more trustworthy and confident in your audience’s eyes.

Add charts, graphs, interactive maps, and more to your presentations with Prezi Design. You can choose from a wide selection of charts and maps to illustrate your data. With interactive elements, you’ll be able to engage your audience and make a memorable impact.

Engaging visuals, a well-structured layout, and relevant data visualizations will provide a great starting base to create a memorable presentation. Discover other tips and tricks that make your presentation effective and capture people’s attention.

Choosing a topic for a presentation isn’t easy. When selecting a topic, think about the goal of your presentation, your interest and knowledge about the topic, and whether or not your audience will find it relevant and interesting for them. Also, get inspired by other topics that’ll help you figure out what you want to talk about. Lastly, when creating your presentation, consider the impact of visuals, layout, and data visualizations. To simplify the creation process, follow the step-by-step process of making a presentation with helpful tips and resources.

Ultimately, the length of your video presentation depends on how much content needs to be shared, who you’re sharing it with, and where you’re sharing it. Video Presentations: A Guide for Engaging Content

Video Presentations: A Guide for Engaging Content

In a time when the Millennials’ attention span can be measured as little as 12 seconds, how can we create genuinely engaging presentations? Is continuously changing slides the answer these days?

A skilled presenter has to master different techniques; therefore, we will examine the potential for video presentations. Join us to discover what video presentations are, the reasons why you should use them amongst your presentation tools, and exciting tips on how to drive engagement from them.

What video presentations are

Video presentation stats to consider, different types of video presentations, why should you use video presentations, what are the components of a winning video presentation, the role of accessibility: advanced research on video presentations, 5 tips on how to make your video presentations engaging.

  • How to create a video presentation

Do you need special software to create video presentations?

Closing thoughts.

Presentations are a crucial part of business and academic environments. Thousands of presentations are delivered each day in different environments; still, many are doomed to fail. Although we can blame this on a lack of proper presentation skills , reality tells us there’s a change in how people prefer to see the content.

As a general rule, consider 10 minutes the Goldilocks Zone for traditional presentations in what comes to audience engagement . Inspirational presentations like the ones we see on TEDx don’t follow this rule, as the objective here is to share a compelling story as detailed as possible so the audience can relate. In some cases, academic presentations of the thesis defense style remain loyal to a specific format. Still, trends are also changing, and video presentations have much to offer in terms of exposing complex concepts more plainly.

A video presentation can be represented in multiple formats: as a compendium of animated slides in video format, video files and audio sources packed on a single video file, a video recording made in interview format, a video documentary, etc. Although this definition may sound redundant, the concept behind a video presentation is that they don’t require a presenter to change between slides or windows to browse different assets . Hence, the importance to create a story behind the video presentation, so the various elements don’t feel segregated without logic.

We can say people use the video format to convey information in courses, job training, edutainment, conferences, and any kind of message-sharing purpose that requires connecting with the audience for engagement.

Before dwelling on the specifics of building a video presentation, here we share some video presentation stats that speak about the importance of video presentations these days from a marketing perspective.

  • Online search continues to be the most common way (45%) for users to find instructional and informational video content. ( source )
  • The most commonly-created types of videos are explainer videos (72%) , presentation videos (49%), testimonial videos (48%), sales videos (42%), and video ads (42%). ( source )
  • 57% of consumers said that product videos make them more confident in a purchase and less likely to return an item ( source )
  • Millennials’ attention span can be measured as little as 12 seconds ( source )
  • A minute of video is worth 1.8 million words in terms of information retention ( source )

As you can see, the effort of building a video presentation is well-paid in terms of consumption and content information retention from the audience.

Depending on the requirements of the presentation itself, we can classify video presentations as follows:

In-Company Video Presentations

These video presentations belong to the business and corporate world, but their purpose is to distribute information among coworkers or to coach the personnel for a specific requirement. In-company video presentations are used in workspace training, as part of internal recruitment processes, or other kinds of internal presentations.

In-company video presentations usually carry the company branding; they have restricted access for people outside the organization, so their distribution methods happen in meeting rooms dedicated to these purposes.

Business Video Presentations

Business video presentations are used for a variety of business purposes: business pitches, workspace training, advertisement, product releases, recruitment, and more. Business video presentations also include the ones dedicated to  B2B or B2C relationships.

Like In-Company Video Presentations, they carry branding to identify the video presentation’s author quickly. They are shared through official mediums for the company (like a brand’s social media channels and website), during corporate meetings with investors or potential business partners, and through 3rd. party channels.

Example of Product Launch Video Presentation by Xiaomi

Examples of these kinds of videos are product launch sessions, much like what tech giants like Xiaomi do.

Another kind of business video presentation is the explainer video. Explainer videos can be defined as short online marketing videos that are used to explain the company’s product or service. Explainer videos are commonly used for sales, marketing, and training purposes. Here is a real example of a 1-minute video presentation introducing SlideModel.com.

Another application of business video presentations is when sponsorship deals are involved, as brands can present their value to influencers through short reels.

Resume Video Presentations

This is a relatively recent but incredible turn of resume presentations. In resume video presentations , the candidate offers a detailed introduction of their capabilities, skills, interests, and potential value to the employer in a visually engaging format.

Unlike traditional CV presentations, the video format gives little room for anxiety, answering most of the interviewer’s questions or even driving admiration for the effort and dedication to this job-hunting adventure.

We recommend the usage of resume presentation templates for this purpose, as they save tons of time in crafting a high-quality resume video presentation.

Educational Video Presentations

This category can be divided into three different sub-categories:

Academic Video Presentations

Intended for University-level presentations or post-Doctorate work, these presentations follow strict format guidelines. They are mainly designed to distribute data comprehensively, with proper documentation backup. Animations usually don’t take part in these video presentations.

Despite being commonly associated with business events, conferences also belong to the academic video presentations category, as the live sessions are recorded to spread the message about important research discoveries.

Teaching & Training Video Presentations

Teachers introduce the presentations to their students on various topics to understand abstract issues better. Chemistry, Physics, and Geography are typical examples of subjects that use video presentations. However, subjects like History and Philosophy can save countless hours of whiteboard sessions by using educational video presentations.

Webinars fall under this category, either being released to the public or in-company webinars, as they share common aspects in their structure. Do keep in mind that educational content recorded as video presentations is not the same as a webinar, as the latter requires the presence of a live audience, a moderator, and usually a Q&A session at the end of it. If we talk about educational content being recorded and released as a course platform, then we can say it is a workshop.

According to recent studies, visualizations through video presentations and video-based learning can enhance understanding. It is demonstrated that students who watched learning videos on Statistics, influenced engagement and motivation positively .

Student Video Presentations

Finally, students also make video presentations as requested by their teachers to present a lesson or project exhibition. These presentations vary as the students grow older, becoming less dependent on animated effects, setting the bases for future work or academic presentation formats.

Informal Video Presentations

If you remember seeing videos in situations like 50th birthday parties, baptisms, wedding anniversaries, etc., then you have already experienced informal video presentations.

These informal presentations are free from any format restriction. As the term implies, they are used for any kind of meetup, making it simpler to share a story rather than to tell a lengthy story.

Inspirational & Motivational Video Presentations

The final category belongs to the video presentations with a strong emotional component. They are built to connect, to empathize with the audience in specific situations or problems. Examples of this are TEDx , Evan Carmichael, or similar influencing platforms.

In general lines, motivational video presentations are recordings of live events shared with the purpose of getting the message to the biggest audience possible (internet consumers). Another possible format for these presentations is recorded interviews or testimonials intended to speak about a person’s contributions to society. An example of this, from an organization’s point of view, are the videos produced by the UK’s NHS to highlight and thank their medical personnel for their efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Inspirational video presentations share common aspects with motivational speeches. A list of requirements for these video presentations would be:

  • Have a clear purpose
  • Make it personal
  • Get the message tailored for the target audience
  • A strong conclusion

Compared with traditional presentation methods, such as presentation slides or speaking in front of an audience, video presentations can offer a series of advantages.

For starters, as you write the “ story ,” you are also rehearsing the points to be covered. In that way, anxiety or shyness won’t trigger you to forget about essential points or lose track of time. The length of the presentation can be predetermined, depending on the external requirements of the organization party, or how comprehensive or concise you need it to be.

In the case of people struggling with camera shyness , an animated video presentation with voiceover is the answer to deliver quality work. Since psychologists and doctors agree the common point on fear of public speaking is the delivery of the presentation itself, video presentations shall reduce work-induced anxiety to a great degree. Since psychologists and doctors agree the common point on fear of public speaking is the delivery of the presentation itself, video presentations shall reduce work-induced anxiety to a great degree. You can also convert images to video online using video editor platforms to easily create video from images and voiceover on video.

Video presentations can be persuasive thanks to the usage of graphics and audio. It is far easier to convey emotions through video presentations than to put them in the presentation design. Also, research by Dr. James McQuivey proved that a minute of video is worth 1.8 million words in terms of information retention.

Regarding engagement, the popularity that both TikTok and YouTube gained among the younger generations reflects the behavioral changes in content consumption . It has come to the point that even professionals use TikTok to demystify health hoaxes and help users worldwide. Therefore, using video format for presentations can help to boost your presentation performance, making it attractive for your audience and less effort-demanding.

The most significant factor in delivering a successful video presentation is keeping the audience engaged. To ensure this, make sure the presentation doesn’t feel robotic-like but that it conveys a personal message. Don’t get this point wrong if we talk strictly about business or academic scenarios; making video presentations to deliver your personal touch can become as simple as selecting the proper color combination to enforce your message . Other solutions come from watching your voice tone not to make it too monotonous.

Structure your presentation accordingly. In business or academic video presentations is a good idea to introduce a slide in the fashion of a table of contents . It is an extra touch that brings the audience closer to the topics due to be discussed.

Consider the audience’s perspective as a vital element in video presentations. Check relevant examples of the topic discussed on platforms such as YouTube or DailyMotion. Compare their approach to yours and assert if you would watch your presentation as a spectator or not. This simple test gives insights into which aspects you should work on.

Winning video presentations never miss the usage of CTAs. It’s a good method to direct the audience’s interest to a specific goal.

Video presentations can become an incredible tool for driving engagement, yet there is a problem that not so many presenters address: accessibility. Think about how many times a presenter ends a phrase like “over here,” assuming the audience is watching the item being shown. But what if members of the target audience have visual impairments?

Much like we consider the importance of adding Closed Captioning (CC) to our videos, accessibility in terms of the narrative is a must. On this behalf, we want to introduce an interesting research that led to the production of a tool named Slidecho . Using state-of-the-art technology like video scene detection, AI, and OCR, Slideshow follows these very steps:

  • Step 1: Extract slide frames
  • Step 2: Selecting slide elements
  • Step 3: Detecting described elements from the slide elements
  • Step 4: Aligning slides with the speech

Therefore, Slidecho uses an algorithmic methodology to extract the visual elements from the slides, converting them to an audio reading format whilst aligning it with the original speaker’s narration. Moreover, its interface instantiates new interactions that augment the plain video interface with synchronized slide information and audio notifications to alert users to undescribed elements.

This technological advance helps the audience better understand what is being presented, regardless of the context of the presentation. Imagine an award ceremony where many references apply to visual cues. People with visual impairments get half of the message, with luck, when presenters fall into colloquial language usage, not understanding the context or having to ask for clarification. If instead, the synced narration is available, we then talk about making presentations available for everyone. This is an accurate definition of enriching an event experience.

If we talk about attending to the needs of people with hearing impairments, we have to consider the social factor as a motivator in presentations. It is a common mistake to leave slides filled with text and voiceover narration in the background providing detailed information. A study made by Stanford University speaks about the value of having the presenter’s face available through these slides, as it delivers both social cues plus helps users through lip reading. The human factor also reduces distractions since the audience must check the presenter’s input on written slides.

Example of video instruction with lecture slides in the back - Effects on information retention, visual attention and affect.

Tip #1 – Be mindful of the presentation topic

It’s not the same to create a presentation for a business audience as an inspirational presentation. The category of the presentation shall determine items like

  • Background music
  • Color theme
  • Visual hierarchy
  • Videos to include

Tip #2 – Limit the number of words to include

The whole idea behind the video presentation is to make a dynamic presentation, not having to pause every 5 seconds to allow the spectator to read.

Instead, use words to transmit powerful messages, such as quotes relevant to the presented topic, key information, or CTAs. Use the 7×7 rule: no slide should have more than 7 lines of text, and no sentence should have more than 7 words.

Tip #3 – Voiceovers can become your best friends

The whole point behind a video presentation is not to create a boring one-person video speaking in front of the camera. Use voiceovers effectively to introduce charts, data feedback, etc., with your voice connecting the points of the entire presentation.

Be mindful of the tone. A monotonous or flat tone can divert attention and induce people to ignore your work. Your voice skills should articulate the importance of the point being discussed as well as your interest in it.

Tip #4 – The power of transitions

Adding suitable transitions and animations makes the presentation more engaging . However, this isn’t equal to adding countless effects. Less is more.

Ask a professional for guidance if you don’t have experience with animation effects. The transition can be part of the conversation, being subtle if the presentation is flowing between data sets or similar topics, or contrasting and powerful to deliver a persuasive message. You may also want to insert a transition when you’ve used a video cutter to remove an unwanted part to smooth out the video flow. Don’t abuse any of the two extremes, or the audience may find it uncomfortable.

Tip #5 – Make video presentations accessible

As we mentioned before, quite often presenters assume the audience can understand every part of a video presentation. Reality tells us to attend to the needs of people with visual and auditory impairments by making audio and video media accessible .

Subtitles or translator screen-over using sign language is a perfect opportunity to help people with auditory impairments feel part of the presentation, making the message available to them as well.

For people with visual impairments, be mindful about how you create the narrative for your presentation, in particular, avoiding visual cues like: “over here,” “this,” and “there” and gesticulating over an object or person, assuming everyone can get the same reference information. Instead, opt to be descriptive in your speech; software solutions can help a great deal, but you can also use native PowerPoint or Google Slides tools such as voiceovers .

Compatible with all versions of PowerPoint, Google Slides, and Keynote.

You also need to consider the output format of your video presentations. For maximum compatibility, you can use  MP4 or MOV. Other alternatives include:

  • MKV : The native format of most 4K videos due to being able to store multiple audio tracks. Ideal for presentations with different voiceover languages that presenters can pick from.
  • WMV : It’s a quality format for rendering videos to be shared via e-mail, although not compatible with some devices. Installing codecs is advised.
  • WebM : This format is one of the preferred choices for online video libraries or live streaming services, but it can present compatibility issues.

The answer to this question entirely depends on your aim for creating video presentations. For most presenters, PowerPoint and Google Slides will do a good job, allowing them to use features such as voiceovers, transitions, animations, and high-quality graphics.

If instead, you desire to make advanced effects, screen recordings, or toon-like animations with voiceovers, then you should check the following list of solutions:

  • Camtasia (Techsmith) : It is a professional video editing software, much lighter and easier to use than Adobe Premiere or Sony Vegas. You can create professional transition or animation effects, work with layers to add multiple sounds or video sources and create screen recordings.
  • Adobe Premiere Pro : The industry-leading software in video editing. This often intimidating software by Adobe has all the requirements for professional video editing, plus full integration with third-party plugins or other software from the Adobe suite to enhance the video result.
  • Sony Vegas Pro : It is considered a direct competitor to Adobe Premiere Pro, less demanding in hardware requirements, and somewhat more user-friendly.
  • Final Cut Pro : For Mac users, this is the option to consider if we talk about video editing. Powerful and tailored for the hardware the Mac device has.

As we have seen in this article, video presentations are far from obsolete. It is a truly engaging method to divulge our ideas, especially if we target a younger audience.

Take your time to write a compelling story to tell rather than spilling animations and transitions along the way. Professional-made video presentations always care about details and the takeaway message for the spectator.

What is a Video Presentation?

Information, ideas, or messages can be visually represented in a video presentation. It’s a great tool for communicating difficult concepts in a way that’s interesting and accessible to the audience. There are plenty of uses for video presentations.

  • Marketing and sales
  • Education and training
  • Corporate communication
  • Entertainment

7 Steps H ow to Create a Video Presentation

Creating a video presentation can seem like a daunting task, but it is easier than you think. Here are the steps you need to follow to create a successful video presentation:

1. Identify Your Target Audience

Who is your target audience? What are their interests, needs, and preferences? Understanding your audience will help you create a presentation that is relevant and engaging.

2. Define Your Message

What is the message you want to convey? What do you want your audience to learn or take away from your presentation? Defining your message will help you stay focused and ensure that your presentation is clear and concise.

3. Create an Outline

Once you have identified your audience and defined your message, it’s time to create an outline. Your outline should include the main points you want to cover in your presentation, as well as any supporting information or visuals you plan to use.

4. Write Your Script

With your outline in hand, it’s time to write your script. Your script should be conversational and easy to understand. It should also be engaging and persuasive, with a clear call to action. You can use ChatGPT for this to make it quicker but more effective.

5. Choose Your Visuals

Visuals are an essential part of any video presentation. They help to illustrate your message and keep your audience engaged. Choose visuals that are relevant to your message and that support your key points. Custom visuals are ideal but you can also look for stock footage and images.

6. Record Your Presentation

With your script and visuals in hand, it’s time to record your presentation. Make sure to rehearse your script and practice your delivery before recording.

7. Edit and Finalize

Once you have recorded your presentation, it’s time to edit and finalize it. This is where you can add any additional visuals or effects, adjust the timing and pacing, and make any final tweaks. You can get an idea of what is missing by using computer mockups to visualize your creation.

Benefits of Video Presentations

Video presentations offer several benefits over traditional presentations, including:

Increased Engagement

Unlike traditional presentations, video presentations incorporate visuals, audio, and text to deliver a message in a more dynamic and interactive way. By engaging multiple senses, video presentations are able to captivate and maintain the attention of viewers for longer periods of time, which can help to increase information retention.

Improved Retention

Visual aids like photos, graphs, and charts can help to illustrate crucial points and make them easier to learn and recall. Meanwhile, audio can serve to reinforce knowledge and provide additional context, both of which can help with information retention. With a multitude of sensory cues, video presentations can provide viewers with a more immersive and memorable experience.

Greater Reach

Because video presentations can be quickly shared and distributed online, they can reach a considerably bigger audience than traditional presentations. This is especially beneficial for firms trying to reach out to new clients or market their products or services to a larger audience. Businesses can access new audiences and expand their reach beyond their local area by making video presentations available online. Additionally, video presentations can be included in an online catalogue , making them easily accessible to a broader audience and allowing viewers to browse through a variety of presentations at their convenience, further enhancing the reach and impact of your message

Increased Conversions

Video presentations are more effective than traditional presentations at persuading viewers to take action. This is because videos may make an emotional connection with viewers and convey a message more effectively. Video presentations can drive viewers to take action and make a purchase , join up for a service, or take any other desired action by using storytelling techniques and establishing a sense of urgency. Moreover, you can leverage videos by converting them  into shoppable videos . With the effective use of Call-To-Actions (CTAs), you can thereby increase your chances of making your customers convert even more. A study shows that with the utilization of shoppable videos, you can increase your chances of conversion by  30% .

8 Common Mistakes to Avoid in Video Presentations

When creating a video presentation, there are a number of common mistakes that you should be aware of and take steps to avoid. Some of the most important mistakes to avoid include:

1. Using too much text on slides

When creating slides for your video presentation, avoid using too much text. This can overwhelm viewers and make it difficult for them to engage with your message. Instead, use images, graphics, and other visual elements to illustrate key points and break up the text.

2. Speaking too quickly or too slowly

Speaking too quickly can make it difficult for viewers to follow along while speaking too slowly can be boring. Practice your delivery ahead of time to find the right pace that allows your audience to easily understand your message.

3. Not practicing enough

Failing to practice your presentation ahead of time can lead to mistakes or stumbles during the actual recording. Take the time to practice your delivery and become familiar with your content, so you feel confident and prepared during the presentation.

4. Not considering the audience’s perspective

When creating your presentation, it’s important to consider your audience’s interests and knowledge level. This allows you to tailor your content to their needs and make it more engaging for them.

5. Using low-quality visuals or audio

Poor audio or video quality can distract from your message and make it difficult for viewers to engage with your presentation. Make sure your visuals and audio are of high quality to keep your audience’s attention.

6. Not ending the presentation on a strong note

A strong ending is key to leaving a lasting impression on your audience. You can end a video presentation on a strong note by summarizing key points, ending with a call to action, or leaving the audience with a memorable quote or visual.

7. Failing to tailor your presentation to your audience

To make your presentation more engaging, you should consider your audience’s interests, needs, and knowledge level. This allows you to create content that is relevant to them and keeps them engaged throughout.

8. Not having a clear structure or message

Your presentation should have a clear structure and message that is easy for viewers to follow and understand. Make sure your content is organized and flows logically, so your audience can easily follow your message.

By being aware of these common mistakes and taking steps to avoid them, you can create a more effective and engaging video presentation that effectively communicates your message and resonates with your audience.

9 Video Presentation Ideas to Keep Your Audience Awake

9 Video Presentation Ideas to Keep Your Audience Awake

Let’s be honest: we’re all bored to death of dull, static PowerPoint presentations.

In fact, most people switch off just 10 minutes into a traditional presentation . Despite this, Microsoft PowerPoint is still the first port of call for 89% of people when they need to make a slideshow.

Next time you need to put together a presentation for your team, consider doing things differently. Video presentations are dynamic, engaging, and better at keeping your audience’s attention than a PowerPoint or Google Slides presentation .

Create a stunning video in minutes

Why should you use video presentations?

The numbers are clear: people like video . In fact, 78% of people report watching online video content every week, with 55% watching videos every day — so it’s a format we’re all used to. And according to Social Media Week, viewers retain 95% of a message when they learn it through a video, which makes it a great tool for business presentations.

Here are four more benefits of using video presentations over traditional ones .

They’re easy to digest

The length of a traditional professional presentation depends on the presenter’s delivery and how long it takes an audience to read your PowerPoint slides. But since you’ll always know exactly how long a video presentation is, you can easily slot them into meetings without fear of running over. And your audience is much less likely to switch off if they’re told how long the video is before it starts .

Video lends itself very well to short-form content — and video presentations are no different. A short video can easily be sent out in an email to deliver a quick message. Learn more on video email marketing in this blog post.

💡 What about industry-specific content?

You're right, industry-specific content is often complex for outsiders or too boring for insiders. Why not capture your audience with video? Just make sure that your content is relevant to your target group by educating, informing or entertaining them! You're working in healthcare industry? Perfect, find everything related to healthcare video marketing in this blog article.

They’re dynamic

A video presentation can (and should) include music, images, GIFs and dynamic transitions which help keep your audience engaged far more than a static PowerPoint. These visuals and moving graphics reinforce your message and drive home your audience’s understanding .

Curious about how to effortlessly create engaging videos? Look no further than PlayPlay's video presentation maker . Our tool empowers you to craft professional videos in no time.

They’re persuasive

Visual information is processed faster than text . So it makes sense to reinforce your message with visual cues such as arrows, icons, and fonts of different colors and sizes. With a video presentation, you can also use music to complement your message and help persuade your audience to take action.

They’re accessible (any time and anywhere)

In this new world, we’re all getting used to WFH and WFA (work-from-anywhere) policies. So it’s more important than ever to find new ways to transmit information to your staff, customers, and stakeholders . A video presentation is easier to share online than a traditional one, and can be watched multiple times — so there’s no need to worry if your team doesn't pick up everything the first time around. 9 video presentation ideas to keep your audience from snoozing

Video presentations are versatile and can be used for a whole variety of purposes. While a PowerPoint presentation risks putting your audience to sleep before you get through the first three slides, a stand-out video will wake them up and drive your message home.

And, as an added bonus, if public speaking’s not your strong point, no worries. You can just hit the play button and let the video do the hard work.

Here are 9 video presentation ideas you could try for your business .

#1. Product launches

If you have a new product to show off to your customers, don’t put them off before they’ve even seen it with a slide deck that puts them to sleep.

Instead, bring your product to life and impress your viewers with an engaging video presentation that showcases its features and benefits and drums up the excitement it deserves. Discover all the tips on how to make engaging videos .

Take a look at this example from financial services company Acorns, announcing their new debit card. They do a great job of using interesting graphics to keep viewers engaged, and on-screen text to complement the audio narration and reinforce the message.

#2. Sales presentations

Sales teams want to get your prospective clients excited about your products. But let’s be honest: your run-of-the-mill business presentation full of dry data doesn’t make that easy. Even for the most rehearsed and confident presenters.

With a video presentation, however, you can incorporate infographics, music, and even humor — all while transmitting that all-important message . Since video presentations are easy to send online (or host on a dedicated landing page), you can even use them as part of your sales outreach efforts.

Account-based marketing with Terminus (in 3 minutes!) This really original sales presentation by SaaS marketing tool Terminus uses a combination of visual aids, animations, graphics, and plenty of humor to highlight their product’s features and real-life benefits for their target customer — in a way they’ll likely remember.

#3. Onboarding for new recruits

Onboarding presentations are an important tool for familiarizing new hires with the people and processes that make up your company . However, first days can be overwhelming and your new recruits may not necessarily retain everything the first time. You can make things easier on them by sending a link to an online presentation that they can easily refer back to when needed.

Welcome to the Future - Discover STATION F's New Onboarding Video

Video onboarding presentations also allow you to inject a little humor and give new recruits a taste of your company’s personality — like in this excellent example from Station F .

#4. Q&A sessions

Another great video presentation idea is to record Q&A sessions and edit them into a quick presentation . By displaying the questions as text, interspersed with short recorded answers, you can create a compelling video that’s naturally divided into digestible chunks.

Student Officer Q&A Highlights - Queen's Campus - Durham Student's Union In this video presentation by the Students’ Union at Durham University, the questions make for natural breaks in the video, and the addition of music helps to tie things together for the viewer.

#5. Explainers or tutorials

Honestly, how many times have you sat through a presentation on how to use a new tool or piece of software , and remembered practically none of it once you got back to your desk? With an explainer video presentation, you don’t need to worry, as you and your team will be able to look back over it as many times as you need to.

Trello | Take A Tour Of Trello Trello uses video storytelling to demonstrate how their tool could be used by a real business. Not only is this technique far more engaging than simply walking through the features, demonstrating it with a real use case gives viewers a much better idea of how they could apply it to their own workflow.

#6. Internal announcements

You can use video presentations to keep employees up-to-date on new hires, projects, acquisitions, or anything else they need to know about. Their format means they’re easy to distribute company-wide even in large organisations, without needing to gather everyone together.

NEAT Method Acquisition Announcement!

This presentation announcing NEAT’s acquisition by Whitmore could work as an internal or external announcement, and the combination of useful information and humor makes for a compelling video that keeps people engaged.

#7. Project highlights or upcoming projects

If you need to share the progress of a project with internal or external stakeholders , a video presentation is one of the most engaging ways to do it. You can share key statistics, facts and information without being too dry. Video presentations are also a great way to communicate visually about upcoming projects.

Coca-Cola Content 2020 Initiative Strategy Video - Parts I & II

For example, take a look at the internal video marketing strategy of Coca-Cola. The cute, animated presentation design and the use of text to reinforce the voice-over narration work to keep the audience focused and engaged.

#8. Quarterly or annual business results

Just the words “quarterly business review” are enough to make all but the most seasoned business analysts start yawning. And long, number-heavy presentations are an easy way to guarantee a sleepy crowd during a keynote. With video, you can create a dynamic presentation that highlights those key statistics, interviews and quotes through animation, images and videos to keep your audience engaged (and awake).

Shell's first quarter 2021 results presentation | Investor Relations In this video, Shell shares their first quarter 2021 results with a combination of live narration, visual displays of data such as diagrams and charts, and brand-consistent graphics.

#9. Event promotions

Got an upcoming event and want to get the word out ? An event video presentation is easy to send out online, and lets you share key details about the event in a digestible format.

The World's Largest Online Advertising Event | Ad World 2020

This promotional video for Ad World’s 2020 conference uses music and fast, eye-catching graphics to grab its audience’s attention, and presents key details about the event in a way that drums up anticipation. You want to create as much buzz as possible around your next event? Test viral video marketing !

Incredible, Creative Video Presentation Ideas To Wow Your Crowd

Top video presentation ideas ideas

So, you aspire to be the next Elon Musk or Barak Obama. Or maybe any orator who you may look up to. In order to avoid boring your audience to death with PowerPoint, you’ll need to spice up your presentation ideas a bit.

Even if you’re simply showing your uncle a trip video or a business presentation, we’ve put up some of the most effective techniques to make your audience excited about what you’ve got to say.

We at BuzzFlick also offer various video production and animation services, which have taught us a few things about how to make a good presentation video. Some of our best video presentation ideas and examples are included in this blog, as are some suggestions for the various sorts of presentations you might wish to explore.

Different Types of Video Presentations

Videos are the finest approach to keep your audience engaged during a presentation. A message is retained by  95% of viewers  when it is shown in a video, but just 10% if it is a readout on the screen.

presentation topics video

It’s up to you whether you want to make your video the entire presentation or simply a portion of it. For example, did you know that a PowerPoint presentation can also have an embedded video? With different video templates, you can do either, and it’s fun to switch things up every now and again. Presentations can be classified into four broad categories:

  •  Demonstrative
  •  Informative
  •  Inspirational
  •  Persuasive

You can choose any of these. However, choosing the right video presentation type will ensure that your video presentation is nothing but success.

For instance, if you want to sell your newly launched products, you might go for a video template that’s persuasive. Or, if you want to make a presentation for employee onboarding, you’ll go for an informative one.

P.S: If you want to learn how to make a video presentation, do give a read to our extensive guide on how to make a video presentation .

Creative Video Presentation Ideas

Your choice of presentation style has been made. However, how can you make your video more original, more unique, and most importantly, more creative?

To begin, make sure your video is of the highest quality possible. Graphics and production quality are essential to ensuring that your message is heard and seen properly. Choose online video presentation software that is simple to use and produces excellent-looking videos.

Regardless of the subject matter of your presentation, your video format and design must be consistent with the overall tone and message.

Doing a climate change presentation at work? Upbeat, fast-paced music and a riotous template will feel out of place.

As you plan your presentation, think about how you want your audience to feel. Do you want them to be laughing so hard they’ll cry? Weepy-eyed? Are you fired up and ready to go? Choosing the correct framework and creating the finest video are both made easier when you identify the emotions driving your presentation.

Cool and Inspiring Video Presentation Ideas

Having decided on the general kind of video presentation you want to create, the next step is to learn the specifics. Here are just a few examples of how you can make your message shine.

1. Begin with a strong statement

The interest of your audience may be immediately piqued by making a strong remark. If you’re going to make a statement, it should be a little out of the ordinary. Think of something that will get people’s attention and can make people sit up with jaws dropped.

Get it? Let’s move to the next step.

2. Tell your compelling story

Telling a story is a great approach to engage your audience since it hits them straight in the feelings.

The appeal of a human narrative is in the ability of the audience to identify with it on an emotional level. Tell a tale about a human being that is relevant to your business or idea, and allow your audience to identify with the main protagonist. Love, desire, and overcoming hurdles are all things that we’ve all had to deal with at some time in our lives.

In other words, how will you structure your presentation such that your audience feels a sense of connection with your message?

As a salesperson, you may talk about a marathon-training customer. Anecdotes on how a seemingly innocuous statement affected you can be used to advocate for women’s rights. Perhaps you might begin your presentation by recalling the choice that sparked your company’s existence.

From one of the world’s most well-known businesses comes an excellent example of storytelling:

3. Add some music and sound effects

Video presentations benefit greatly from the use of music, which has been shown to hold an audience’s attention and help memory recall. Why not utilize music in a video presentation to evoke an emotional response from the audience?

Modern, fast-paced music will get people’s attention at the correct time, while slow, minor-key sounds calm the brain, making it easier for content to be retained in long-term memory by allowing the brain to rest.

4. Use visual metaphors

One of the most effective methods to get people interested in and remember information is to use a combination of images and text. If you can mix your message with something visual, you’ll be able to maintain your audience’s attention for longer and help them remember more of your presentation.

Invoking fear in the minds of a group of individuals is a terrifying prospect. It could be possible to use an image of someone scuba diving or bungee leaping. Making a case for the importance of next year’s business retreat to your boss? A picture of cheerful, carefree folks with their feet on the sand will do the trick.

As far as clichés go, it doesn’t have to be apparent and overt. It’s unnecessary to describe the meanings of closed doors, broad open roadways, and lighting a candle. The ultimate cliche: the overused “water ripple” should be avoided at all costs. Finding high-quality, royalty-free music can be a challenge.

Music is one of the most important components of any presentation, but it is often disregarded.

5. Ask questions

To get the audience thinking, start a presentation with a series of open-ended questions. It allows people to think critically, which is ideal for when you deliver your powerful message.

A staggering 15 billion trees are felled each year, according to this fact. How much more fun would life be if you didn’t have to worry about saving any money at all?

You can use the skill of asking questions in a presentation as a wonderful lead-in for your video. Once your audience has contemplated the problem, you may go into detail about your remedy with the help of some appropriate music.

6. Add some ice, spice, and humor

In order to win over an audience, all it takes is a good chuckle. There’s no need to be too serious, and even if you’re dealing with a heavy topic, lightening the mood can work wonders.

One thing is for sure: You can’t go wrong with including comedy in your presentation, whether it’s for a sales video, an event, or an interview.

7. Keep repeating

Powerful, effective, and simple.

One approach to employ repetition is by repeating a word or phrase numerous times in your presentation (the repetition is in the rhythm) or by repeating several one-word phrases together.

Steve Jobs famously finished his 2005 Stanford commencement address with the words, “Stay hungry. In other words, don’t be an idiot. The power of repetition cannot be understated. It emphasizes your main point and bolsters your argument.

8. Leverage the power of motion graphics

Animated text is a significant component of motion graphics, which is a core part of our work at BuzzFlick.

Using moving visuals in a presentation is a certain way to get your audience’s attention right away. Motion graphics like the one in this Meeting Tips sample will grab the attention of an audience that is just taking their seats or midway through your tale.

9. Use quotes to be authoritative

Using quotations in a presentation can help convey a point even if they seem cliched at times. If you want your audience to grasp a difficult concept, use these tips. An Einstein quotation should suffice. Then perhaps you’d want to express something lyrical and meaningful? There is wisdom to be found in a few words of Shakespeare.

10. Don’t forget audio narrations

A compelling voice and sincere words in the narration can change the tone of your presentation. As a result, it will keep your audience engaged even if they begin to lose interest in the subject matter.

11. Use all the bright colors

If you want your video to stand out, you need to pay attention to the color. Be open to new experiences. You may use stark black-and-white contrasts to great effect, but you can also use carefully picked primary and secondary colors to great effect, as seen in our Motion Graphics template.

12. Take advantage of illustrations

When you’ve got a lot to say, illustrations are a terrific method to get your point across. Illustrations may capture attention and spice up your presentation, whether you’re trying to show a crowd or a clever new device.

13. Incorporate infographics

Use infographics to convey plenty of facts and information to your audience without overwhelming them. Imagine a variety of pie charts as well as digital numbers and escalating animation graphs. These may be used to present facts in an entertaining way to your audience.

14. Make engaging transitions

A video’s one benefit over a normal presentation is the ability to perform all kinds of wacky things with transitions, such as a whip pan transition, where the camera swiftly moves between scenes. Similar to a wipe, but considerably quicker.

15. Give it a cinematic look

It’s easier to get your audience’s attention when you incorporate components of a movie theatre experience since they’ll automatically equate these features with a good time at the movies and eating popcorn.

16. Relive the ’80s

Your presentation will be impossible to miss if it has a classic, stylish appearance to it. You may add a dash of sarcasm to your message by going vintage. You don’t have to go as far back in time as the example below, but it’s a certain way to give your project some more oomph.

17. Give a positive closure

If you don’t wrap up your presentation well, no one will remember what you had to say.

If you want your audience to do anything specific, such as check out a website for additional information, consider an idea or new direction, or take action toward that objective, you need to make it clear what that action is.

Both a visually arresting image and a musical shift in speed, loudness, or pitch function effectively in this situation.

What is the main point to be made here? In order to ensure that your presentation is talked about and remembered, you must have a powerful CTA (call to action).

The 10-Minute Presentation Topics Structure

As you might imagine, the hardest part of a 10-minute presentation is actually sticking to 10 minutes. None of your audience, organisers or fellow speakers will be pleased if your speech starts running over, but it’s hard to know how not to.

You might be tempted to cram as much information as possible, but doing so is just going to make for an overbearing presentation. Especially for this type of presentation , knowing what to leave out is as much of a skill as knowing what to put in, so try and follow the sample below for a perfectly structured presentation.

  • Introduction (1 slide) – Start your presentation with a quick question, fact or story relayed in a maximum of 2 minutes.
  • Body (3 slides) – Get into the nitty gritty of your talk with 3 slides. Audiences struggle to take home more than three ideas, so spacing all three out over the course of 6 or 7 minutes can be very effective.
  • Conclusion (1 slide) – End it all with a quick sum up of your 3 main points. You should be able to do this in 1 minute.

This 10-minute presentation example format contains a fairly conservative 5 slides, based on the famous 10-20-30 rule of presentations. In that rule, an ideal presentation is 10 slides in 20 minutes, meaning a 10-minute presentation would only require 5 slides.

Use interactive features with AhaSlides to gain better engagement in any type of presentation! You can spin the fun to the presentation, by gathering crowd ideas by idea board , live word clouds , or surveying them by top free survey tool , online polling , and also test their knowledge with an online quiz creator !

10 Ideas for College Students – 10-Minute Presentation Topics

A 10-minute presentation is all you need as a college student to show your knowledge and forward-thinking values. So let’s check out few 10-minute presentation topics!

They’re also great practice for presentations you might be making in the future. If you feel comfortable within 10 minutes, chances are that you’ll be alright in the future, too.

  • How to work alongside AI – Artificial intelligence is making huge steps forward daily. We’ll soon be in a different world, so how are you, the worker of the future, going to deal with it? This is a super interesting topic and one that’s very relevant for your classmates.
  • Fighting the climate catastrophe – The issue of our age. What is it doing to us and how do we solve it?

  • The future of streaming platforms – Why is TV on demand so great and why is it not universal? Or is it stealing too much of our free time?

  • The life and times of your hero – A great chance to show your love for someone who inspires you the most. This can be within or outside of your college subject.
  • My permaculture future – If you’re looking for a greener existence in your future, try explaining to your classmates about the advantages and logistics of having a permaculture garden.
  • E-waste – We dump out so much electrical waste these days. Where does it all go and what happens to it?

10 Interview Presentation Ideas – 10-Minute Presentation Topics

More and more nowadays, recruiters are turning to quick-fire presentation as a means of testing a candidate’s skill and confidence in presenting something.

But, it’s more than that. Recruiters also want to learn about you as a person. They want to know what interests you, what makes you tick and what has changed your life in a profound way.

If you can nail any of these presentation topics in your interview, you’ll be starting next Monday!

  • Someone who inspires you – Pick a hero and talk about their background, their achievements, what you’ve learned from them and how it’s shaped you as a person.
  • The most eye-opening place you’ve ever been – A travelling experience or holiday that blew your mind. This might not necessarily be your favourite ever abroad experience, but it was one that made you realise something you had not thought about before.
  • An imagined problem – Set out a hypothetical problem at the company you’re applying for. Show the recruiters the steps you would take to eradicate that problem for good.
  • Something you’re proud of – We’ve all got achievements we’re proud of, and they do not necessarily work achievements. A quick 10-minute presentation on something you’ve done or made that has made you proud can reveal a lot of good stuff about you as a person.
  • The future of your field – Make some interesting, bold predictions about where you think the industry is heading in the upcoming years. Do research, get stats to back up your claims, and avoid being condescending.
  • A workflow you’ve fixed – Untidy workflows are rampant in many workplaces. If you’ve had a hand in turning something inefficient into a well-oiled machine, make a presentation about it!
  • A book you’d love to write – Assuming you were a top-class wordsmith, what’s the one topic you’d love to write a book about? Would it be fiction or non-fiction? What would the plot be? Who are the characters?
  • Your favourite work culture – Choose the job with the best work culture in terms of office atmosphere, rules, after-work activities and trips away. Explain what was so great about it; it might give your potential new boss a few ideas!
  • Pet peeves in the workplace – If you fancy yourself as a bit of a comedian, listing out the things that grind your gears in the office could be a good laugh and a nice bit of observational comedy for your recruiters. Make sure it’s actually funny though, as listening to a candidate moan for 10 minutes is not normally something that leads to recruitment.
  • The good and bad of remote working – Surely every office worker in the world has experience of remote working. Pry open your own experiences and discuss whether or not they’ve been for the better or for, the worse.

How to Make a “Good” Presentation “Great”

  • Guy Kawasaki

presentation topics video

Remember: Less is more.

A strong presentation is so much more than information pasted onto a series of slides with fancy backgrounds. Whether you’re pitching an idea, reporting market research, or sharing something else, a great presentation can give you a competitive advantage, and be a powerful tool when aiming to persuade, educate, or inspire others. Here are some unique elements that make a presentation stand out.

  • Fonts: Sans Serif fonts such as Helvetica or Arial are preferred for their clean lines, which make them easy to digest at various sizes and distances. Limit the number of font styles to two: one for headings and another for body text, to avoid visual confusion or distractions.
  • Colors: Colors can evoke emotions and highlight critical points, but their overuse can lead to a cluttered and confusing presentation. A limited palette of two to three main colors, complemented by a simple background, can help you draw attention to key elements without overwhelming the audience.
  • Pictures: Pictures can communicate complex ideas quickly and memorably but choosing the right images is key. Images or pictures should be big (perhaps 20-25% of the page), bold, and have a clear purpose that complements the slide’s text.
  • Layout: Don’t overcrowd your slides with too much information. When in doubt, adhere to the principle of simplicity, and aim for a clean and uncluttered layout with plenty of white space around text and images. Think phrases and bullets, not sentences.

As an intern or early career professional, chances are that you’ll be tasked with making or giving a presentation in the near future. Whether you’re pitching an idea, reporting market research, or sharing something else, a great presentation can give you a competitive advantage, and be a powerful tool when aiming to persuade, educate, or inspire others.

Total solar eclipses are becoming more rare. Here's why 'it's all downhill from here.'

Though it didn't used to be this way, annular and partial solar eclipses now occur more frequently than total solar eclipses, henry reich explains in a minutephysics video..

presentation topics video

Monday's total solar eclipse won't be the last chance for most people to see one in their lifetimes, but as one YouTube educator argues, "it's all downhill from here."

For millions of people across North America, the celestial display was truly a once-in-a-lifetime event to witness . No total solar eclipse of recent memory has been as spectacular , astronomers say, and none in the next two decades will come close to recapturing its majesty .

And while it won't happen in our lifetime, there will come a point in the next billion years when total solar eclipses don't occur at all. That's according to Henry Reich, the creator of the popular YouTube video series MinutePhysics , which has more than 5.76 million subscribers.

Months before the eclipse even happened, Reich shared a video in December on the channel explaining why such cosmic events are becoming more and more rare.

"We are in the golden age of eclipses but only for the moment," said Reich, an expert in physics who created the educational channel in 2011. "In fact, I'd argue we're already past peak solar eclipse, and it's all downhill from here."

See what an eclipse looks like on Mars: NASA shares photos from Red Planet ahead of April 8 totality

Why annular eclipses now occur more frequently than total eclipses

Though it didn't used to be this way, annular and partial solar eclipses now occur more frequently than total solar eclipses.

And why those events can be plenty captivating, let's face it: Nothing compares to the awe-inspiring phenomenon of totality.

That moment isn't just defined by the uncharacteristic daytime darkness that unfolds when the moon appears large enough in its orbit to block the sun's disc. During totality , the sun's outer atmosphere known as the corona, which is normally lost in the sun's bright glare, makes a dazzling appearance.

But as the centuries have gone by, total eclipses have only become more and more rare, Reich said in the MinutePhysics video, which was supported by the NASA Heliophysics Education Activation Team.

Using the channel's signature whiteboard animation, Reich explained how changes to Earth's and the moon's imperfect orbits have affected their relative distances and sizes to the sun, thereby altering the types of solar eclipses visible from our planet.

Watch the MinutePhysics video here:

The moon was likely much closer to Earth than it is now when it formed billions of years ago, making total eclipses much more common as the moon was big enough to blot out the sun, Reich said. As time went on – and we're talking billions of years, here – tidal forces transferred some of the earth's rotational momentum to the moon, sending the moon farther and farther away, Reich explained.

As a result, partial or annular eclipses only became more common. Today, they now occur much more frequently that total eclipses, Reich explained.

And sometime in the next billion years, Reich claims that the moon will only get farther away until eventually, Earth will experience the last total solar eclipse.

At that time, Reich said, "the golden age of eclipses on Earth will be over."

Where are can you see upcoming total solar eclipses worldwide?

Americans with updated passports who are willing to travel don't have to wait for another 20 years until a total solar eclipse is visible in the United States.

The next total solar eclipse to occur anywhere in the world will be August 12, 2026 when one passes over Spain, Iceland, and Greenland, according to NASA . Then, another one will occur about a year later on August 2, 2027 over North Africa .

Those in the U.S. planning to stay put will be waiting until Aug. 23, 2044 for a total solar eclipse. And with only three states on the path – Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota – the next North American eclipse won't have nearly as big of a reach as the Monday celestial event that blanketed 13 states.

Outside of the lower 48 states, Alaska is set to experience a total solar eclipse on March 30, 2033,  according to nationaleclipse.com .

Here's just some of the ways you can make your message sing. 1. Start with a bold statement. A bold statement can capture your audience's attention right from the get-go. Your statement should offer something slightly unusual and maybe even a little controversial. Something to make people sit up and take notice. 2.

Step 3: Be novel. Make sure you either select a new topic or bring an entirely new and unique perspective to an already covered issue. For instance, don't make a presentation on the "best lead generation strategies.". Your audience has probably heard those dozens of times already. Corny.

Data. Data visualizations can elevate your presentation from being a good one to a great one. By providing data behind your arguments, you'll appear more trustworthy and confident in your audience's eyes. Add charts, graphs, interactive maps, and more to your presentations with Prezi Design. You can choose from a wide selection of charts ...

Here's how it works: 1. Choose a video presentation template from our library to get started. 2. Upload your photos and video clips and then drag and drop them into your presentation. 3. Personalize your video presentation with text, animations, and your brand colors and logo to make it truly your own. 4.

One example could be a presentation covering "The Best Free Alternatives to Microsoft Office.". Memoir: Tell the stories of influential people or your own in a value-packed presentation. Video Games: You can reveal the pros and cons of a game or just talk about the trendiest games as of now.

Tip #2 - Limit the number of words to include. The whole idea behind the video presentation is to make a dynamic presentation, not having to pause every 5 seconds to allow the spectator to read. Instead, use words to transmit powerful messages, such as quotes relevant to the presented topic, key information, or CTAs.

However, coming up with innovative and captivating video presentation ideas can be a challenge. That's why we've compiled this list of 15 video presentation ideas to inspire and help you create a memorable video presentation. What is a Video Presentation? Information, ideas, or messages can be visually represented in a video presentation.

Think outside of the box during your next presentation! Stop creating boring PowerPoints. With these creative presentation ideas, you'll have your audience i...

7. Promo video. Whether for a product launch, brand introduction, or event promotion, this video presentation will help you craft a memorable message. You can use this creative presentation to capture attention, create an emotional connection with your audience, and even differentiate from your competitors.

For example, take a look at the internal video marketing strategy of Coca-Cola. The cute, animated presentation design and the use of text to reinforce the voice-over narration work to keep the audience focused and engaged. #8. Quarterly or annual business results.

13. Add Music. In any setting, the right music will set the mood. So, use that to your advantage when planning a presentation. You can set simple instrumentals as a light background to complement your speaking, or you can add a spark of loud pop music to grab your audiences' attention.

Here are 30 cool presentations ideas you can use for your next presentation: 1. Use Speech Bubbles. Speech bubbles add a fun element to your slide. (Presentation template Source: Envato Elements) (Graphic Source: Envato Elements) A creative presentation idea is to put your thoughts or key points into speech bubbles.

At the end of 2019, we shared 31 creative presentation ideas. But to ensure you never run out of ideas, we wanted to come back and give you 33 more. Find ins...

Make engaging transitions. A video's one benefit over a normal presentation is the ability to perform all kinds of wacky things with transitions, such as a whip pan transition, where the camera swiftly moves between scenes. Similar to a wipe, but considerably quicker. 15. Give it a cinematic look.

21 Get crafty (ripped paper details) Sometimes to tell a story, visual details can really help get a mood across. Ripped paper shapes and edges can give a presentation a special feel, almost as if it was done by hand. This visual technique works for any type of presentation except maybe in a corporate setting.

Find a video presentation template in our free collection that you can customize or build your theme from scratch. We also have presentation ideas perfectly tailored to different purposes and settings. You can even personalize it with colors and fonts from your company or personal branding guidelines.

We've organized these presentation topics for students by subject so you can easily browse through and find what you're looking for. Each section also comes with a bonus presentation template! We've also included some tips on designing a presentation once you've chosen a topic. For example, a flowchart data widget can help with a historic ...

Introduction (1 slide) - Start your presentation with a quick question, fact or story relayed in a maximum of 2 minutes. Body (3 slides) - Get into the nitty gritty of your talk with 3 slides. Audiences struggle to take home more than three ideas, so spacing all three out over the course of 6 or 7 minutes can be very effective.
