Hyper Weekend Festival : Françoise Hardy, un anniversaire et des hommages

« Messages personnels », hommage à Françoise Hardy pour ses 80 ans, sera créé le 28 janvier lors de l’Hyper Weekend Festival de Radio France (qui débute ce vendredi) et diffusé sur France Inter. La chanteuse, malade, n’assistera pas au concert conçu par le compositeur Sage, avec Thomas Dutronc, Clara Luciani, Keren Ann…

Françoise Hardy a eu 80 ans le 17 janvier. La chanteuse, autrice et compositrice de Tous les garçons et les filles ne va pas bien. Mais si elle lutte depuis dix ans contre un cancer, elle garde toute sa vivacité d’esprit et son franc-parler. « Étant donné mon mauvais état de santé, si je dois passer de l’autre côté en 2024, j’aimerais, comme tout le monde, que ce soit rapide et pas trop douloureux », a confié cette militante du droit à l’euthanasie au journal Le Parisien, le 17 janvier. « Elle n’est pas mourante et n’a pas envie de mourir, précise son fils Thomas Dutronc . Ma mère est une guerrière qui a une force incroyable. »

Cette battante, icône de la pop française, sera fêtée par un concert spécial dimanche 28 janvier, lors de l’Hyper Weekend Festival de Radio France. Depuis la Maison de la radio et de la musique à Paris et en direct sur France Inter à 20 heures, Messages personnels verra une pléiade d’artistes interpréter ses chansons intemporelles et élégantes. « La richesse de son répertoire est impressionnante autant que sa longévité, avec une exigence artistique qui n’a jamais faibli », souligne le musicien Ambroise Willaume, alias Sage.

Compositeur, producteur et chanteur du groupe Astral Bakers, Sage orchestrera ce spectacle dont une nouvelle version sera donnée le 24 avril au Printemps de Bourges. « Françoise Hardy a un talent rare pour composer les mélodies, arranger les accords, développer des harmonies hyper riches. De façon très anglo-saxonne, elle aborde l’écriture et la composition sans que jamais le texte ne prenne le dessus sur la musique, mais pour que les deux se développent ensemble. » Nourri de son œuvre, de pop anglaise et de classique, Sage, qui a forgé son goût des harmonies en chantant enfant à la Maîtrise de Notre-Dame de Paris, est, à 37 ans, un orfèvre de la French pop.

« Une culture populaire qui ne cède rien à la facilité »

Le Temps de l’amour, Comment te dire adieu, Message personnel, Mon amie la rose, La Question… Modernes, pleines de charme, les chansons écrites par ou pour Françoise Hardy seront interprétées par ceux qu’elle a inspirés. Thomas Dutronc, Clara Luciani, Philippe Katerine, November Ultra, Voyou, Declan McKenna, Keren Ann, Albin de la Simone, la musicienne P.R2B… formeront un supergroupe éphémère . Très respectée dans le monde de la pop, la chanteuse, qui a aidé Alain Souchon et Michel Jonasz à leurs débuts, a travaillé avec Michel Berger, Gainsbourg , Étienne Daho, La Grande Sophie… et exerce une influence magnétique sur plusieurs générations.

« Françoise Hardy incarne beaucoup de nos émotions, confie Didier Varrod, directeur musical des antennes de Radio France. Parmi les premiers disques que j’ai demandés à mes parents, il y avait le super 45-tours de Tous les garçons et les filles, qui me bouleversait. Sur la face B, on trouvait J’suis d’accord ! , un titre un peu twist qu’elle déteste. Moi je l’adorais ! », se souvient le concepteur et pilote de l’Hyper Weekend Festival. « Elle représente une culture populaire qui ne cède rien à la facilité, ajoute-t-il. Selon Modiano, c’est la meilleure écrivaine de chansons de sa génération. »

François Mitterrand, fan transi

Seule francophone au palmarès des « 200 meilleurs chanteurs de tous les temps » du magazine Rolling Stone , Françoise Hardy rayonne hors de nos frontières. Jacques Dutronc raconte dans ses souvenirs, Et, moi, et moi, et moi (Le Cherche Midi), sa visite à l’hôtel Savoy de Londres où se produisait sa compagne en 1968. « C’était une véritable star là-bas. Quand j’ai franchi les portes du palace, j’ai dit que je venais pour Mme Hardy ; des types de la sécurité m’ont traîné par les bras et les pieds pour me foutre dehors – un vrai film de Chaplin. » Il pointe la mélancolie de ses chansons – « ça me mettait dans des états trop dépressifs » –, mais avec respect : « C’est la même chose avec Beethoven . »

Sa beauté lumineuse, préservée pendant des années en dépit de la maladie, a impressionné ceux qui l’ont croisée, de Mick Jagger dont elle était l’idéal féminin, à Bob Dylan qui a exigé de la recevoir dans sa loge à l’Olympia en 1966 faute de quoi il ne remonterait pas sur scène et qui a écrit pour elle des poèmes. Plus inattendue, la fascination que Françoise Hardy a exercée sur François Mitterrand, qu’elle ne se privait pas de critiquer, est révélée par Jacques Dutronc dans ses Mémoires. Le chanteur, invité à l’Élysée comme Balavoine, raconte que le président lui tendit à la fin de sa visite un bouquet de roses, en disant simplement : « Vous les donnerez à celle qui ne m’aime pas. »

A great excursion thought the glorious and sometimes weird Soviet past. The tank collection is by far the best I have ever seen, they should really advertise it more. He was very flexible with helping me plan a trip that fit my needs and was even willing to pick me up from the airport. He was a very good driver and his car was comfortable. He knew a lot of information about all the places we visited and was a good travel companion in general for passing the long hours driving. He helped me to pick budget accommodations for our overnights. I really enjoyed my three days spent with him and learned a lot about the history of the golden ring. I enjoyed walking around the small towns and hearing stories. We visited Sergiev Posad, Pereslavl, Rostov, Yaroslavl, Suzdal and Vladimir as well as some smaller stops along the way. He was flexible with how much time we spent at each destination. Overall it was a great trip. I visited in winter but I hope to see some of the cities in summer and would definitely hope to travel with Nikolay again! Read more Written 14 March 2020

He picked us up from our hotel in his comfortable car and on both the drive to and from the museums he was very informative about life in Russia. His knowledge of tanks was very good and he was extremely helpful when guiding us around both attractions. He also provided warm drinks and food on a cold day! • Chris W 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Really excellent historical day tour of 1812 and 1941 Borodino battlefields Definitely the high spot of a week in and around Moscow. One could probably spend several days at this very large and unspoiled site which is more or less preserved from the time of 1812. Nikolay does a really excellent job of driver/guide, and we ended up seeing a good balance of our own ideas/sites and his, basically there is a lot to see. The battlefield museum is well worth a visit. Monuments everywhere, reflecting the enormous losses, the original 1812 earthworks still in place and accessable, with very few other people around (which is a plus for me), walking into and onto the Bagration fleches and the redoubts, one gets a feel for the scale, and particularly fascinating were the Red Army positions, trenches, pillboxes and so on which formed part of the Moscow defence lines in 1941. Again, you can walk into, along, inside 1941 pillboxes and trenches, built in some cases into exactly the same place as the redoubts and earthworks of 1812. How cool is that?! Everything still preserved and a surprise round every corner. The countryside and woodlands are again mostly left as was and very beautiful. Historically a must visit, and Nikolay is a great guide. I'ld recommend at least a full day at Borodino. You won't be disappointed. Read more Written 5 October 2019

From the pick up at the hotel, driving there, being at Kubinka and subesequently Patriot Park, providing food to us and then the return to the city was very well organised. He told us a lot of stories around the exhibition, histroy and technical details. He presented his knowledge and experience in a very welcoming and friendly fashion. Knowing that the trip to Kubinka was the precondition to visit Russia I had to make sure this was going to happen. After having done sone research on the web I was a bit disillusioned as I couldn't find any detailed information on the museum. So, I was really glad to have found Nikolay on Tripadvisor. He not only kept in touch i I I I can strongly recommend to book the trip with Nikolay. He not onky kept in touch closely and answered all my questions ahead of the trip, he also was so kind as to pick us up at the hotel, to provide us with sandwiches and drinks, and what is even more, he gave us an impressive load of background information on the exhibits (even though he claimes not to be into tanks himself...). We spent a wonderful day at the two premises and could see a hugh collection of tanks and other military vehicles (a great deal of German tanks among them). Nickolas is a terrific guide and host. He is attentive and knowledgeable and his style is very congenial generating a dialogue rather than delivering a lecture. We struck up a lively email exchange even before we arrived in Russia -he offered helpful info to help us plan our itinerary, while still being completely flexible about which sights that we wanted to prioritize. Nikolay’s Subaru Outback was spacious & comfy, and he very thoughtfully packed sandwiches, snacks & tea/coffee for our time on the road. The best aspect of the trip was that he was an engaging conversationalist about the Golden Ring sights, as well as in answering our questions about life growing up in Russia before & after Glasnost. An potentially problematic journey to both sites outside Moscow using public transport was solved when I booked Nikolay. A fantastic guy with impeccable English, I had an excellent time with him discussing everything from the merits of different tanks, to the collapse of the Soviet Union, to living in Moscow. A welcoming hotel pickup was followed by coffee and lunch that he had prepared. Drinks and snacks were also provided! I cannot recommend Nikolay highly enough as a guide! However, due their distance from Moscow and them being only in russian, it is highly recommended to use a guide for a private trip. This tour covers well-known towns as well as hidden gems of the Golden Ring. It gives a great opportunity to see the roots of Russian history and architecture. It is a perfect way to escape from hustle and bustle of boisterous Moscow or St. Petersburg and to see a different facet of Russian life. The prominent towns that lay in a circle to the northeast of Moscow became known as the Golden Ring From 11th to 15th century the towns of Vladimir and Suzdal became capitals of the northern principalities, and Sergiev Posad served as the center of Russian Orthodoxy. Few people though heard of  12 century town Yuryev-Polskoy which can be proud of a unique church of St. George all covered with stone carvings.  

At 8 am our Moscow tour guide picks you up from the hotel to leave for Sergiev Posad . It will take you approximately 2 hours to get there where you visit the famous pilgrimage sight, the Holy-Trinity St. Sergius Monastery , quite often referred as Russian Vatican. The Trinity Monastery of St. Sergius was founded in the early 14th century by one of the most venerated saints of Russia St. Sergius. For centuries, Russian czars and common people set out on pilgrimage to the monastery which up to now remains one of the most sacred places in Russia.

Driving to Yuryev-Polskoy , the town founded in the 12 century by Yuri Dolgoruky (founder of Moscow). The chief landmark of the town is St. George Church , brilliant example of pre-Mongolian architecture. During the tour you will also visit the grounds of the walled Archangel Michael Monastery, as well as enjoy picturesque views from the bell tower. Transfer to Suzdal to check in the hotel. Free time to enjoy quite life of the town where there are no train stations or industries. Gazing at its blue river, wooden houses, picturesque meadows you may feel that time has stopped here. Dinner at any restaurant of your choice (not included, but can be arranged upon your request).

10 am Sightseeing tour of Suzdal which was once the capital of Rostov-Suzdal principality. This town is like a museum under the open sky, its medieval monuments can tell you its old story.  During the tour, you will visit the Museum of Wooden Architecture, St Euthymius monastery (or Intercession Convent), Suzdal Kremlin. Lunch at the local restaurant.

Driving to Vladimir to see the Assumption cathedral (interior if it is open), exteriors of St Demetrius cathedral , Golden gates and learn the old history of Vladimir, once the capital of Russia. At about 5 pm we set back to Moscow which takes about 4 hours.

Wolves vs Spartak Moscow Signed Programme 1954

Molineux was one of few English grounds that could boast about having floodlights in the mid-1950s, and this led to a series of night-time friendlies against illustrious foreign opposition for Wolves during that period.

Spartak has defeated Arsenal days earlier at Highbury, so it was down to Wolves to restore English pride which they duly did running out 4 – 0 winners after four goals in the final ten minutes of the game.
